Grand Hotel Terme Sirmione

Amazing location, and such a luxurious oasis in the middle of a very busy little town. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed -- and the hotel speedily arranged a couple of things we required extra too. The staff were particularly impressive -- especially Miguel at the pool and Margaret in the restaurant. I enjoyed relaxing days using the spa and pool/lake area facilities. A fabulous hotel.

Just one step from a wonderful, but extremely crowded Sirmione, it was a piece of peace. The room was excellent - view lake with a small balcony - enough size for 1 person - maybe on a small side for a couple. Rarely : two exit doors, separated by a small closet, therefore no noise. Cleanness top of the notch. Bed and pillows comfortable, a lot of cupboards to put the clothes. Restaurant: wonderful breakfast and dinner - buffet choice to all tastes, all nicely decorated, dinner menu comme il faut, impeccable, attentive and fast service, special thanks to Margaret and Andrea. Beach: on the wooden ponton, clean ,you can swim in the lake though there is a sign not allowed - could not understand why. Swimming pool a bit small to my taste and a number of people. Served by beach person who is moving your umbrella with the sun ! Spa: made full massage which nothing special and facial with Suzanne - that was really great, recommend Caviar anti-âge.

My room was view lake, but on a left extreme, therefore I would call it a side view, also a sound from the wall with conditioning , therefore could not open window at night. And the second small negative element- gel etc attached to the wall of douche cabin at the height almost inaccessible at around 180-190. We are not all that tall. 5 star hotel should provide just usual small bottles . This looked a bit cheap.

The property is beautiful. The location is incredible, it’s a 30 second walk to the old town. The staff were very helpful. It’s very clean and rooms are cleaned often. It’s lovely having a thermal heated outdoor pool and also access to go swimming in the lake to cool off. The food and drink is also very nice

I took my 10 month old child and was advised on arrival he couldn’t use the pool. There is an age limit due to the sulphur from the spring. I wasn’t advised of this when I booked it wasn’t in the description of the hotel on booking.com. This was very disappointing. They did give us a small paddling pool for him to use but it’s not what’s expected on a family holiday. Charging 2 euros per coffee pod to replace daily is crazy considering the price you pay for a suit. A welcome drink would have been a nice touch but that’s me being fussy

Amazing location, in the heart of the city where your peace is protected.

The place is in the best location in all of sirmione being just outside the castle and the gateway to the old town. The rooms are great, Clean and have wonderful views. I had some of the best sleep of my life here the bed is extremely comfortable. The concierge and the whole staff in general is sooo nice, recommending places and just so helpful. The rooms were kept clean, just the key was so big it was somewhat of an inconvenience but it was not a big hassle. You can access the lake from here and the outside is stunning. One of my favorite hotels ever.

Excellent breakfast with wonderful views every morning overlooking the lake. Thermal spa pool and frontage into lake - the kids loved the thermal spa pool too and the chance to dip into the refreshing lake for variety. Very attentive poolside/ life guards. There is also an adult only spa area which has the most amazing views and location on the other side of the hotel - could spend days just relaxing at the hotel taking in the outstanding views. Amazing location right next to the Castello.

Although not an issue for us (and surprisingly the children) there can be a strong smell of sulphur coming from the naturally infused thermal waters - helpful to be told in advance. // It is a busy junction so one can hear (on the lower floors) early sounds of street cleaning, maintenance operations etc

This place is like paradise on earth. It is perfect. Sitting on a sunbed looking out over the lake: doesn’t get much better.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and delicious. Sun loungers, deck and lake swimming brilliant. We loved this and perfect in the heat. Very clear water. Staff Great with well behaved children swimming, had floats. Thermal pool, best for the winter months, as warm and not refreshing - but still very nice. Lots of space. Lovely to have all toiletries provided. Very comfortable beds. Great location, brilliant to escape the crowds, close to everything. Great spa facilities, stunning views onto the lake and beautiful gardens. Really enjoyed our stay.

Some bar food pricing excessive, but some fair. This was odd but normal for an 5 star - you do need to Ask how much certain things are…..like the bottled water which was v expensive. Could have had better knowledge of local easy restaurants- pizza/pasta outside of Michelin stared.

Das Grand Hotel Terme Sirmione liegt hervorragend: direkt am See und unmittelbar vor der Altstadt, die in zwei Gehminuten erreichbar ist. Das Haus hat unsere Erwartungen an ein 5-Sterne-Hotel erfüllt. Der Check-in war freundlich und reibungslos, das Frühstücksbuffet überzeugt mit einer sehr großen Auswahl, und das Personal ist durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders schön ist die Lage am Wasser. Am Steg kann man auf gemütlichen Liegen entspannen, und der Bademeister rückt den Sonnenschirm immer wieder nach, sodass man ausreichend Schatten hat. Die Snacks an der Bar waren sehr gut. Manche Gäste beklagen sich über die hohen Preise – ich halte sie für gerechtfertigt, solange das Haus diesen guten Service beibehält. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und geräumig. Zur Straße hin ist sehr gut schallisoliert; vom Verkehr hört man nichts. Ab und zu sind Stimmen im Gang oder im Zimmer darüber zu hören, das blieb aber im normalen Rahmen. Alles in allem ein gelungener, entspannter Aufenthalt in Sirmione – wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es gibt keine negativen Punkte, die wirklich ins Gewicht fallen und eine negative Bewertung rechtfertigen würden.

Very professional and extremely friendly staff. We appreciated the tour of the hotel facilities and help with booking a private car. The breakfast room had an amazing view and the food was delicious.

Hôtel trés bien situé avec une excellente vue. Un room service efficace et un wifi qui fonctionne bien. Le bar et les services autour de la piscine sont efficaces également.

Le personnel pourrait être encore plus réactif et plus attentionné pour un 5 étoiles. Il gagnerait à avoir une piscine avec de l'eau qui n'est pas chaude. l'eau des thermes à plus de "" degrés lorsque le temps est caniculaire n'est pas trés agréable.

Sensationelle Lage direkt bei der Altstadt, hoteleigene, versperrte Parkplätze, großartiges Frühstücksbuffet, Bootsverleih direkt gegenüber. Sehr geräumige Zimmer, unglaublich schöne View beim Frühstück und Dinner auf den See. Besser geht es nicht. Sensationelle Weinauswahl. Mehr als genug Liegen direkt am Wasser vorhanden, sehr aufmerksames Poolservice.

Die Badezimmer sind teilweise sanierungswürdig: Partiell schwarze Fugen, Duschtüre in die Badewanne in Kollision mit dem Waschbecken, somit eher mühsam zu besteigen. Im ganzen Hotel leider kein offenes Bier vom Fass (mein größter Kritikpunkt :-). Aber das sind alles Kleinigkeiten und können diese den absolut positiven Gesamteindruck eigentlich kaum schmälern.

Beautiful hotel with sour food and an excellent location. A very relaxing and comfortable hotel with excellent service and a super location on a peninsula in south Garda lake. Had a faultless stay here, beautiful room, super friendly staff and excellent food. Highly recommend for a special stay.

Not sure why this hotel is so expensive - it can only be location. Its a bit worn and bland. Very minor, but it sets the tone of what to expect: you get (for 2 people for 2 days) 4 coffee pods for the coffee machine in the room, thereafter its 2EUR a pod if you want more. This is meant to be a 5 star hotel but it lacks that feel. Anyway, it was a significant birthday for my wife during the stay - the hotel knew this, as I did contact them beforehand - and I hoped that the hotel could assist me in making it feel special. To be fair, when I asked them if they could arrange a small birthday cake they did after charging 40EUR (cake was delicious), when every other hotel we've stayed at when a birthday occurs arrange a small cake, flowers and champagne (which we always gratefully return as neither of us drink alcohol) as their gift or acknowledgment. In fairness they did arrange a little gift bag with facial emollients. Can I reserve a table outside for dinner? Yes, of course. Then go to dinner only to get asked if you've reserved, "oh let me see if we have a table outside". Fortunately they did - despite being very specific when reserving the table. Can you bring the birthday cake? Yes, but no happy birthday never mind a rendition of 'happy birthday' from the staff. Poor experience for my wife on what was a special birthday. Check out is at 11am - pretty common - we were running a little behind, but don't worry the hotel will try to call you (phone wasn't working) and follow this up with a chap on the door at 11:10 to remind you that check out is at 11am - this is disguised as "do you need any help with your luggage". Even if you don't and you apologise for running 15 minutes late, they'll send the man with a trolley a few minutes later to encourage you to leave. Funny thing is when we were checking in there wasn't the same assistance to help with the luggage to the room.

Beautiful hotel, close to the historic old town. Pool and spa facilities excellent. Staff were helpful and hotel was very clean. We slept well here. Highly recommend

Bardzo słabe i monotonne śniadania raczej jak w hotelu 3 lub 4 gwiazdkowym. Obsługa mało sympatyczna. Bar czynny od 11.00 - 23.00 będąc na leżakach rano nie można nic zamówić. Ceny bardzo wygórowane .Cena za hotel wysoka chyba tylko ze względu na lokalizację.

Excellent location, loved the pool and sunbathing areas, didn't feel overcrowded and very relaxing. Breakfast has plenty of options and could eat inside or out. Staff were very friendly and welcoming .

Location just outside the town walls is excellent. Hotel has good parking facilities. Very good breakfast buffet and other order options. Rooms are a good size and well furnished.

There was a problem with the room offers was not the room type booked. But That was totally the fault of Booking.com and not the hotel who moved us to a good suitable room as the type originally booked was not available.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location right next to the historic center of Sirmione. The thermal pool overlooking the lake was fantastic, the breakfast wasokay, and the staff were professional. We would definitely love to come back.

We were hoping to extend our stay by one more night, but the only option offered by the hotel was a much more expensive suite, even though cheaper rooms were still available on Booking.com. Shortly after we mentioned this, those more affordable rooms also disappeared from Booking.com. We would have appreciated a more flexible and guest-oriented approach to help us extend our stay.

Interior from design ,furnitures to linens are all in top quality . Bakery are all home made, one of the best in the entire region.

Main outdoor pool is too hot for hot summer … Front desk staff have a room to improve.

This our second stay at this excellent hotel and it certainly won’t be our last. Friendly staff throughout with a special mention to the lovely Chiara at reception who was amazingly helpful. Breakfast overlooking the lake is a wonderful way to start your day. Coming back each afternoon to the thermal pool with stunning view and various jets was extremely relaxing. Grazie mille.

Excellent location. Very good quality 5 star hotel. Rooms were spotless. Service excelled. Pool and Spa top notch. The pool is a thermal spa and you come out with the smoothest skin. Lake setting stunning next to the castle.

The surroundings were great. Nice building with balconies. Great view.

The hotel is built near the water. Mosquitoes and insects are a problem. There are no mosquito nets protecting the room. After coming back from dinner the ceiling was full of insects and not liveable anymore, although we had left the windows closed. The tone of all receptionists was blameful and not solution oriented. We did get another room in the end but we felt that treatment and problem solving was far below 5* level.

Not a 5 star hotel. Some areas in need or refurbishment and look a bit dated. The wait to be served around the pool area and for lunch is unacceptable. They need more staff to be able to cope.I must add that the staff are very polite but overworked. This is not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The pool attendants are slow and unhelpful ( except Migue). Cleaners outside rooms make a lot of noise early in the morning causing disturbance. The maintenance man was drilling during breakfast which made an awful noise and smelt terrible. Disappointed

L’emplacement devant le château est superbe. Les équipements de l’hôtel sont impeccable (spa, piscine avec l’eau de source thérapeutique), transats sur le lac). Le petit déjeuner est délicieux, très variés.

La chambre n’était pas à la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles avec notamment une une salle de bain est vieillissante.

Everything, Hotel Grand Terme exceded our expectations! We have stayed in a lot of hotels in our lifetime, without a doubt, Grand Terme was the classist venue ever! We would come again, like in a successful business, it's location,location,location!!! The mineral pool wiped away all our aches and pains. We were so impressed how they treated us, and families with children! The staff and management treated us, and everyone else like celebrities. There was no discrimination to anyone staying there that we noticed! First class lodging and service all in one, Highly recommend!!!!!!

Nothing, not enough time to stay longer, we did not want to leave hotel, the thermal pool and proximity to Lake Garda was quite impressive, views were spectacular of mountains and castle views, not to mention visiting all of Sirmione. Love,Love, Love !!!!!!!
