Solo la posizione
Esperienza pessima.
- Wüstel e bacon cotti in modo approssimativo.
We stayed here as a family of four with our friends and their family. The hotel was everything I wanted it to be, clean and comfortable. I found the staff really friendly and they all worked so hard. The pool is gorgeous in a lovely setting and lovely and warm. We always found sunbeds and the meals were mixed but we never went hungry. The hotels pizzas are really tasty. It is slightly out of sorrento but it’s a short walk to to the train station and only a 10 minute ride into Sorrento. I appreciate those with mobility issues may find it more difficult, there are bus stops outside the hotel and the hotel offers a free shuttle into sorrento which you must pre book. Honestly had a wonderful time and thank you to the amazing staff for making our holiday.
Lokalizacja też dogodna, blisko stacji kolejowej, skąd łatwo dojechać do Sorrento i okolic.
Śniadania były trochę rozczarowujące — codziennie takie same, z niewielkim wyborem, a przydałoby się więcej świeżości i warzyw (poza pomidorkami koktajlowymi właściwie ich brakowało). Drobna sugestia na przyszłość: warto byłoby też uporządkować poranne rezerwowanie leżaków przy basenie, żeby każdy gość miał gdzie usiąść.
We had a great stay here, we stayed on b&b basis. the hotel is impeccably clean, pool area is superb with great views and large relative to size of hotel. The pool bar does excellent lunch, the breakfast is basic youth hostel level. The local deli la cascina and the tabac in the village are superb as is the local restaurant la banta which would be easily passed but shouldn’t be. The only issue with hotel is the location, it is 1/2hr walk downhill to seiano and £30 taxi back up. It feels a but hemmed in by an incredibly busy road and the pedestrian routes are very limited, the walk downhill to seiano isn’t nice or easy. Seiano train station is 5 mins down the hill and it’s £1.50 into sorrento, quick and easy likewise for vico equense which is really where you are and a bit of a hassle for evenings to be honest, the hotel also offers a free shuttle bus which you can pre-book to sorrento. We had a great time just a difficult location but it feels harsh to criticise also, a conflcted review!
Absolutely lovely hotel. Staff are so kind and helpful, we were very well looked after. The hotel and rooms were incredibly clean and everything was very well kept. We stayed half board and everyone really enjoyed the evening meals which were delicious and plentiful for hungry teenagers. Breakfast too was great with lots of choice. Read a few negative reviews on here which we didn’t understand. Not our experience at all! Some people are never happy but we certainly were. We hope to return!
My family had a really nice experience at the hotel. I felt the need to write a review because some others leave negative reviews of the hotel but that was not our experience. It was a lovely memorable stay. The price from Jet2 was great so we booked 2 rooms for our family. We had a sea view room with a jaw dropping view of the bay of Naples. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area was lovely. Quiet and calm. The pool was lovely to swim in. Our room was nicely decorated and was spacious and cool. The food was a bit hit and miss. Mostly it was good. They serve classic Italian food which is not what people in the UK think Italian food is. They didn't serve pizza at lunch during the week which was a shame. We were looking for to pizza by the pool. Tips Other reviews talk about a long walk to the harbour area bit you can get a local bus there and back. We used the local train station (10 mins walk) to visit Pompeii which took us right to the door. We booked direct with Pompeii because under 18s go free. I wouldn't bother booking a boat trip from seiano harbour as all they do is take you to Sorrento harbour and you have to change. Better and quicker to go direct to Sorrento either by hotel shuttle or train and start your trip from there.
Tot ! Superb!
Travelling as a single parent with two young boys always brings a small amount of extra pressure. You do not have another adult to bounce ideas off or share the load when things go off track. Before we left, I had read a few mixed reviews online about the Grand Hotel Moon Valley, which made me a bit cautious. You just hope everything works out fine and that the hotel proves to be a safe, comfortable, and reliable base for your holiday. I am happy to report that any worries disappeared as soon as we arrived. We spent ten days in Seiano, and the hotel turned out to be spot on for our needs. Check-in and checkout were seamless. The reception staff greeted us warmly and processed everything quickly. The hotel was spotless throughout, from reception and the dining room to the outdoor terraces and pool area. Housekeeping do a great job here. We treated our room as a base for sleep and washing between day trips. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Having a small fridge in the room was useful for keeping drinks and snacks cold. We had an issue with our shower one morning, which I reported at reception on our way out. By the time we got back in the afternoon, it was fixed. Breakfast was fine for a family. It is not fine dining, but there was more than enough choice and quantity to satisfy everyone. We ate in the hotel restaurant a few evenings and went out on others. The dinner menu was a bit hit and miss for us simply because some dishes did not appeal to the kids. However, if you do not want to head out, the restaurant will happily make simple pizzas or pasta dishes for the children, which makes life much easier on a holiday. The ladies working in the restaurant were brilliant, and my boys said they were like Italian Grandmas. The pool was great for a daily two-hour dip after sightseeing, and we spent one full day just lounging by it. During the week, it was quiet and relaxed with no issues getting a sun lounger. At the weekend, local day visitors use the pool so it gets busier, but it was still fine. The location is ideal if you want to explore without renting a car. It is a ten-minute walk to Seiano train station, where you can get direct trains to Sorrento, Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, and Herculaneum. The trains are often delayed, but the route itself is very simple. Despite a few negative reviews online that worried me beforehand, everything was spot on. It was a cooling, safe, and enjoyable base to explore Italy, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable hotel in the area.
Very bad experience stuff are rude unhelpful I waste of £800 I would never recommend this hotel to my biggest enemy we have been sow many countless we never had experience like this worst hotel please don’t not waste your money on this please
So glad we ignored the negative reviews for this hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Pros: The view. Worth 5 stars on its own from the rooms overlooking the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The pool. Great size, never a problem finding a sun-bed, great views again. Lunch. Lovely freshly made pizza, pasta, steak, calamari, sandwiches etc. reasonably priced, although could have more variety. Staff. Never had a problem with anyone. All professional. Maybe others reviewers expect staff to ingratiate themselves towards them, hence some negative comments. Room cleaned every day to a good standard by friendly staff and a very useful mini fridge. Kept our wine and soft drinks cold, purchased at the great local shop with helpful proprietors always willing to advise on local food and drink. Room. Good balcony, clean, comfortable beds with air-con. Dated maybe but in-keeping with the overall vibe. Excursions. We used both hotel and jet2 excursions ( capri & Pompei) . Both very well organised and hassle free. Locally. Couple of nice restaurants within walking distance serving good steaks and seafood. Marina a must visit, nice restaurants. Local pharmacy came in useful for my mosquito bites (they seem to like me the most and during the day!) Links. 10 mins from train station to Sorrento, Napoli and in between. Bus link (although not used). Free mini bus from hotel to Sorrento daily 9:45- 14:30 book day in advance at reception. Cons: Food debate (evenings)? Hit and miss depending on your taste. Home cooked food, perhaps lacking the finesse of most restaurants with maybe one or two elements missing. For us this added to the charm of the place and we never left hungry. Probably more variety needed. Breakfast was repetitive. In contrast to some reviews we asked could we swap an evening meal for lunch ( on half board) as we wanted to try a local restaurant, but was told no. Fair enough as long as you know. Links: We thought the walk to the marina and beach would be easier, however it’s a 25 mins walk without pavements and in 35C temps not ideal. Asked at the desk without much help, although we noticed a bus we could have taken. Taxi was €20 each way, ridiculous for such a short distance. Train can be busy and hot depending on the time. Some have stated the hotel will take you to the beach or Vico Equense but we were not offered this. Entertainment. Nice singer every night. Needs guest performers to keep evenings entertaining less repetitive. Weekends. The pool area can get quite busy with the locals having access to pool area but again we didn’t find it a problem getting sun beds. Overall, we will definitely be returning to this hotel.
This is our 8th time at Moonvalley and again it was fantastic! A big thank you to everyone at the hotel especially Marianna, Salvatore, Elia, Luigi,Tiziana and Memo. The hotel is spotless, the pool area is one of the best. Food is very good and the service is great. Marianna is very professional in everything she does as the restaurant manager and Salvatore runs the bar with great expertise, the best. A great location and the views are beautiful. Bar De Simone is just a short walk from the hotel , great place. Thank you all so much and we will see you again very soon! Salute

Staff very nice and helpful very clean
The pool is big
We recently stayed at Grand Hotel Moon Valley in Vico Equense and overall had a mixed experience. The location was very convenient, only around a 10-minute walk to the train station, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. The views from the pool area were absolutely stunning and definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. Our room was clean throughout the stay, and the cleaning staff were always lovely, keeping everything tidy and restocking towels and toiletries daily. The evening bartender was also very friendly and welcoming. However, there were several things that let the hotel down for us. Unfortunately, the reception staff rarely seemed welcoming and often looked unhappy to see guests. Some of the waiting staff also came across this way. Check-in felt rushed, with information quickly given to us without much explanation, and we were asked to hand over our passports for around 30 minutes. We were uncomfortable with this as we’ve never experienced this at other hotels abroad, and when we returned after half an hour, we were then told it would be another 15 minutes. The room itself felt quite outdated for a 4-star hotel. We had paid for a garden view room, although from our balcony you could barely see the garden. The hotel also advertised a minibar and kettle, but the fridge was empty on arrival and there were no tea or coffee facilities provided. The pool area was beautiful visually, but the water was absolutely freezing, meaning we barely used it during the holiday. Most days the area was empty apart from the occasional seagulls using it as a bath in the evenings. Breakfast had a decent selection, but if you didn’t arrive early, much of the food wasn’t replenished. The hot food such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and boiled eggs was often either gone or cold later in the morning. Bar service could also have been better. Even on quiet evenings when we were the only people sitting on the decking area, there was no table service available. We also found the atmosphere around the hotel quite lacking as there was never any music playing around the pool, restaurant or bar areas, which made the hotel feel very quiet and a little lifeless. We only ate dinner in the hotel once as it wasn’t really to our taste. We ended up trying local restaurants instead and found Sapori to be our favourite restaurant of the whole holiday for both food and service. Overall, the hotel has some great qualities including the views, location and housekeeping staff, but the customer service and some of the facilities did not quite meet our expectations for a 4-star stay.

Es war sauber. Nettes Personal
We loved our hotel, Grand Hotel Moon Valley. Has to be the most beautiful swimming pool in Europe. We was lucky as went off season and there was literally no one at the pool so no fighting over loungers. There is also a very shallow paddling pool for the kids. Lots of loungers and huge sun umbrellas if it gets too much. Food was lovely and that's from someone who is fussy about his food. Beware, if you order a pizza for starters... it's huge. Railway station is just 10-15 mins walk down the hill. They use a "Tap On" "Tap Off" (might have been "Tap Out") system so you just scan your debit card and then the other end just scan it again. IF you go to Vico Equense, when you arrive don't go through the turnstiles, go through the main building where the "Tap Off" machines are, if you don't "Tap Off" you'll get charged the full fare rather than just over a euro. Not a lot in Vico Equense but there are nice bars and restaurants and you can walk down to a small park with lovely views across the Mount Vesuvius. There are also a few very nice ice cream shops especially "Gelateria Gabriele". One day we walked back from Vico Equense to Grand Hotel Moon Valley from the small park and it was easy, took about 30-40 mins. Just across the road and down a bit from the Grand Hotel is a shop and at the back they sell bottled water, fizzy drinks, biscuits, chocolate etc and they also have amazing cheeses and serve food too although we never got a chance to eat there. Further down the road is a pizza restaurant and a bar. Staff at Moon Valley were very friendly and helpful, at reception and dining.
We didn't have a very good experience at this hotel. Honestly, one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. I found the staff rude. When we got to our room. It was very basic. No tea and coffee facilities, even though it's a 4 star hotel. The noise from the road is so loud you really can't sleep. It's busy 24/7. Our shutters broke when we arrived. We were accused of braking it. All we did was press a button to open and the whole thing came down. When we asked to be moved, we were offered a garden view, even though we paid for a sea view. The manager said, it's only money!!! Really!! I complained to Jet2. Who, after a few phone calls advised they would move us next door the next day and we would get a bottle of wine. (We are still waiting for the wine! Lol). You can hear everyone's conversation from the rooms above and next to you as the walls are really thin. The food is terrible. Very poor choice at the mornings buffet. If you arrive late, they don't really replenish the food. The evening meal was horrendous. We were half board and only ate here once. We are out every other night. On the last day we paid our tourist fee. My husband didn't check the bill (I normally do) and he paid. When I re checked the bill they had added another 40 euros on our bill. When I questioned this, the manger (the male manager) went nuts in Italian. But, the lovely lady (blonde hair and glasses) gave us our refund and apologised.. Honestly, I wish we did our research as we would not have stayed here. The only good thing was the beautiful view from the balcony. Good points * Beautiful View *Pool *Only 5 minute walk to the train station Bad Points * Room-very basic and old fashion * Terrible Food * Rude staff (especially the manager) * Very noisy road (which you are right next to) * Very far from Sorrento * The towels are like the tea towels. Bring your own. Would I stay here again! Nope! Do your research and stay somewhere else!

Struttura vecchia non è un quattro stelle
Most gorgeous hotel in Sorrento. The breathtaking views from my balcony of the Bay of Naples, you can feel the beautiful ambience and scent of lemon groves in the garden below.. Traditional Italian , family run, nice rooms cleaned daily with fridge, kettle and the most lovely maid Concetta . Fresh Italian linen towels in room , decor I loved wooden inlay on drawers and cabinet. The swimming pool so inviting, clean and refreshing after walking, and taking in nearby sites ( plus supermarket , bar, restaurants only 5 mins walk away) Food delicious, freshly prepared (no buffet! ) for breakfast and dinner. Most wonderful selection of cakes/ croissants, Marianna is the perfect host, warm friendly will look after you day and night, drinks on balcony or by the pool enjoying view she is just so adorable. Reception with Mario , he was the best, every query answered, looked after all your needs , so lovely. What more can I say... the negative reviews say more about the reviewer.!! I will definitely return, one of my favourite hotels in Italy!!
My first trip to Italy and what a gem of a place to chose through Jet2. Hotel, staff and location all amazing. Will definitely be back. A special thank you to Marieanna and Salvadore for adding that special touch and for you patience with my badly spoken Italian. Till next time.... Tracey
The view from the hotel is good but doesn't matter if the basic facility is missing, like a water bottle, a got water jug or coffee maker with cup.
The location is far away from the public transport, don't think of to plan if you don't have a private vehicle. The breakfast has only cake and pastries options. And same repeated breakfast everyday. Even you won't get a drinking water bottle in the room and the door are half broken and someone can open it by a single punch.
Where to start - lots of positives, but also lots to be developed. Positives - location for exploring the area, as a 10 minute walk to the local train station so easy to get to Sorrento and Pompeii - Spacious and clean rooms, with fridge and safe - Lovely pool with plenty of outdoor seating, and spacious grounds - Lovely views - Well-stocked breakfast - The wi-fi was good Things to improve: - checking processes for rooms: my TV would not work neither would my safe (I didn’t ask for them to be sorted while there), but these should be part of the preparation for rooms. - Check-in information. There was no real info given other than breakfast and dinner times. We found the WiFi info ourselves, but did not know, for instance, there was a hotel shuttle, as well as many other things. - Food at dinner. You have to pre-order which we did the first day. The food was awful. I did not know you could go wrong with an omelette, but they did. We cancelled the next dinner we had ordered, and then we were never asked again about what food we wanted (luckily, but again no oversight of processes). This isn’t because we are fussy, but it was truly terrible. - No tea/coffee facilities in rooms. I know this is common in some hotels in Europe, but as a 4 star I would expect it to have them. - Huge and heavy keys for the doors. Really, in this day and age? Also meant there was no possibility of having 2 keys for the same room which is impractical. - Breakfast was 7-10, and they started clearing away about 9:55, so if you went late you needed to grab things before it was removed. - Surliness of staff. They weren’t exactly warm and welcoming at any point during our stay. - The rooms weren’t sound proof, so you could hear some interesting noises through the bathroom walls in particular! Luckily there were lovely restaurants and a bar very close to it, and be aware it is used for some large coach parties (including college trips) as an overnight stay.
The view and location
Origination was poor. Could not control temperature in the room. The solution from the manager was to open the balcony door. It was very hot because they control the temperature and had the heat on. Also, the price for 1 plate of rice with olive oil was 25 euro
The view from the balcony, from the restaurant was fabulous. And the food for breakfast was very good!
Maybe some furniture needs some renovation, and the pillows were not so comfy, but that's more personal I think.
Posizione
Vista ok.
O quarto cheira a cloro. Cama não era boa. Café da manhã em salão muito barulhento. Hotel que recebe excursões, não me agradou. Atendentes ruins, não mostraram simpatia , serviço ruim.
Accoglienza e cortesia
Niente. Tutto perfetto
Happy to report that the negative reviews I had read about this hotel bore no relation to my stay there. Firstly, the pool is amazing and the views are truly stunning. The meals were all really tasty. As a fussy eater, I was a little worried - i don't eat any fish or creamy sauces - and I ate everything on offer! Always three choices for main & starter and you could always ask for something else and they would do theur best. I never received a cold meal! The only little niggle was my room. The single room was tiny. I mean REALLY minute and it had a wonky bed. But after speaking to the lovely guy on reception, he moved me to a double room with garden view the next day. The shuttle minibus was excellent. Took you into Sorrento or Vico Equense daily. All in all, I highly recommend this lovely hotel.
While there are a few good things about the hotel, the fact that it’s near impossible to get a good night’s sleep here really ruined the holiday for me and my family, as we spent the whole time exhausted. You can hear absolutely every movement in the rooms above, below and next to you, if they watch the TV at midnight or 6am, so do you! Lots of guests need to get up early for flights or excursions, so from 6am each day, all you can hear in your room is furniture being dragged over the floor above you, the TV on next door, people slamming doors (all the wardrobe doors slam noisily as they are old and clumsy, plus the bathroom doors are stiff old sliding doors that screech). We had earplugs but they did nothing as it’s so close and so loud. Go to bed early you say! Yep, we tried that, but the hotel rents out its outside area to events that blast loud music towards the hotel rooms from massive speakers until about 1am. Just absolutely bizarre. When you mention any of this to reception, you are scowled at, laughed at, at one point the man on reception told me ‘it’s not us that’s the problem, it’s the other guests!’ and I was dismissed. The pool area is lovely and not too packed. Rooms are small, dated and noisy but the view is amazing from the weird balcony. Proximity to the train station is great if you want to travel around, which we enjoyed doing.
The pool, the view, bar service, and cleaning staff was nice. Room was clean.
Front desk staff was good except for the tall guy who sits on the left. He was very rude and loud and we didn't get our welcome drink when we arrived. He looked busy and frustrated every time we walked by. He was very unapproachable so we tried to avoid him and wait for someone else to be at the desk. Asked him to compensate us for not being able to sleep the first three days and he said no! No explanation at all. We booked 4 rooms for an entire week and no one slept for three days so it was difficult to enjoy our time during the day. We did not get quiet rooms like requested. We should have been advised beforehand that there were birthday parties until 12:30 and fireworks. Breakfast was not good and the exact same every single morning. We stayed for a week so near the end we couldn't even eat it anymore. Fruit was not fresh so we purchased our own fruit at the store down the road, eggs were cold and watery and what's with hot dogs for breakfast? Pastries could have been much better especially for Italy. Breakfast layout could have been better, we were always going from one side to the other side to get what we needed. For example why is the cold milk not with the cereal? All the other resorts we stayed at the breakfast was amazing! Closet door needs to be fixed in Room 319. TV was small compared to other places and in a bad spot. The entire resort could use some updating. Towels we received for the week by the pool were old and ruff to lay on, time for some new soft ones. This was a family trip that we have been saving up for for a long time, so very disappointed!!!
Friendly staff, helpful. Clean. Not the modern of hotels. Pool, very good. I went 1/2 board and breakfast and dinner lovely. Convenient to the local train station taking you to Naples, Sorrento or Vico Equence. Air in room, worked perfectly. I've seen some reviews here and all I say is make your own mind up. For me, it was great.
Pianobar serale
This is definitely not a 4star hotel. Maybe it was 30 years ago. I've stayed in better 2 star hotels. Only able to charge this much because of the area!
Absolute gem of a hotel. Relatively small, family run, with a lovely Italian vibe. Staff so friendly and helpful. Stunning views over the bay of Naples. Helpful shuttle to and from Sorrento and local area (depending on availability). Reasonably priced excursions from the hotel or from Seiano port. Pleasantly surprised by the near by Vico Equense. Lovely pool never over crowded. Rooms cleaned daily with clean sheets and towels and comfy beds. Lovely base to relax or explore as you wish. We would definitely return and are sad to go home.
Struttura accogliente, piscina bellissima e servizi ottimi!
Ant infestations. Random toenail clipping on the floor. Went half board, food wasn’t great. Can hear everything in your room. I got moved to another room after reporting the ant infestation. I could hear Upstairs flushing their toilet, next door’s tv, the busy road outside and I had the squeakiest bed ever! Asked to be moved, to be told they were full. The views, the staff and pool area are excellent. But the actual hotel should be demolished and re-built. What was supposed to be a much needed relaxing holiday, turned into a lack of sleep and wanting to go home instead.
Family of 4, 3 adults & 14yr old I very rarely leave reviews but after reading some on here I felt obliged to give my honest opinion. We booked this hotel about 6 weeks before going and after reading the reviews on here was a bit sceptical to say the least. Our room was a decent size had air conditioning, cleaned every day and towels replaced daily. The breakfast was fine, food round the pool excellent especially the pizzas. The pool area is a decent size and had more than enough sunbeds, Infact it’s one of the first holidays in ages we’ve rocked up around the pool around 11am and there’s beds galore. I read on here that at weekends a few locals use the pool which is true but they brought a load of extra beds out to accommodate this. There’s an older gentleman and a young lad round the pool who will move beds for you, sort your umbrella and are both really helpful. All the staff are extremely friendly and can’t do enough for you. The views around the hotel are out of this world, Infact you stand in the pool and look around and it’s literally breathtaking. This hotel is a 10 minute walk downhill to the train station on a partly narrow and slightly uneven footpath. This wasn’t a problem for us 4 adults but could be for young children, children in prams or people not great on there feet. The trains were every 20 minutes or so and about a 10 minute journey into Sorrento. It’s true theres quite a busy road that wraps around the hotel but at night it wasn’t too busy and the external shutters helped keep any noise out. All in all I’d highly recommend this hotel and will 100% be returning. Thanks Hotel Moon Valley for an unbelievable stay !!! Grazie
I stayed at this hotel as a solo female traveller and I would highly reccommend. It is a short walk from Seino station which means it is very easy to get to Sorrento. I felt extremely safe, the staff were very accommodating, and my room was cleaned to a good standard every day. The air-conditioning in the room was also very good. I stayed as a B&B guest so I cannot comment on the evening dinner, but there was a large selection of sweet and savoury options at breakfast. I must say that I didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel as I was out exploring the Amalfi Coast in the daytime, but I had no issues when staying here - obviously they are not located centrally in Sorento but this is very easy to work around, and I just made sure that I was at the station at least 10 minutes in advance of my trips to Sorrento. The only improvement I would suggest is the mini-fridges - I tried to store some cold drinks in there and they remained at room temperature. Ultimately, I would happily stay here again!
The hotel is beautiful, the only problem is that the pool closes at 7:00 PM, which is very inconvenient when you have excursions all day and just want to come back and relax by the pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included, the restaurant is quite expensive, but you have really good options around the area. The only problem is when you want to cross the street, as it's very difficult because the cars don't stop. I also like that the hotel dropped us off at the train station at no charge, really good service.
I booked this about a month in advance. I had a lovely double bed overlooking the swimming pool which had a Juliet balcony and the sunshine in the morning. Very friendly reception staff and very helpful I had a key safe no extra charge a working fridge a hairdryer the cleaners did a grand job no hairs in plug hole, very well cleaned each day. Only thing the shower head was abit all over the place and could do with replacing. Food… a set menu every night you had to choose every evening. There was fish every night which didn’t appeal to me as I’m not a fish lover at all or really pizza, pasta or veal fan I’m afraid to say, but I didn’t go hungry. I asked for tomato soup which they happily obliged. The children asked for chip and also got that. they were very accommodating.. There was a selection of desserts that you could choose from. Breakfast was very good I personally found. You can pay as you go if they have change in the till or you add it to your room, but you could run away with the bill. A bottle of wine is €26 Peroni €6 Small water €1.50 Large €2.50 taurus tax with £24.50 for the week in August. Two very nice pools a kids with handles and steps and a large main pool not heated also with rails and steps down into it, plus it’s nice and deep. Overlooking the bay and greenery/houses to one side. Plenty of sun beds no worries there, just don’t leave your towels out long or they will be moved. The area isn’t really for the disabled or bad walkers. Hotel it’s self is fine has two lift and slips everywhere. There’s a cafe and mini market shop across the busy road. They had singer most nights. I’d go back just to relax, enjoy the sun and pools. Thank you Moon valley.
We stayed here for a week from the 28th July a family of two adults and two children 13+11. The hotel out is in adjacent rooms which worked out well as we had extra space. We payed extra for sea view which was totally worthwhile The hotel is about 10minute walk and a 10minute train ride to/from Sorrento, but don’t let this put you off. The views from the hillside in Sieano is beautiful, from the amazing panoramic vista of the bay of Napoli, to the lush green hills. It’s about 600meters to the train station, which is down a bit of a hill, but not a problem for someone with average mobility, and takes about 10 minutes. If you have reduced mobility the please do research on how to get around. The walk down to the beach is about 15-20mins, it’s quite steep on the way back up. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel which can take you to the beach and back. Next to the hotel is next to a great deli and mini market, and if you are happy to walk a short way to the harbour there are plenty or restaurants to choose from. The hotel and the rooms were very clean and well kept. The pool is great for families. Air conditioning worked well and beds were comfortable Breakfast is good and the dinner is adequate. You must pre book what you want to eat the morning or day before. There are normally three options for primo and secondi courses. The service is good, we ate in the hotel a couple of times, but ate out the rest of the time. It was The food in the hotel is a bit basic and compared to what is available in the surrounding area, if you can afford to eat out, you’ll make far more memories and experience better Italian cuisine if you choose to not eat in the hotel. Compared to being in the middle of a busy town, Sieano is much quieter. The road which goes next to the hotel is a main road, and there is some traffic noise, but not a problem. Also there were a couple of nights where they held birthday parties with music which ran until about 10-11pm. All in all, this was a great base for us, we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again Too things to see are Pompeii, Versuvius, Herculaneum and Sorrento.
