Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino

I didn't like the fact that when I got there they haven't received my reservation and you took my money in advance like a two weeks ahead and I get there and there's no reservation for me until I had to rebook my room luckily they had rooms and to this day you have not refunded my money you guys I don't know you guys aren't very frustrated

Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy beds, decent rooms (except for the heavy air freshener). But somewhere nearby is an animal shelter and the dogs bark ALL NIGHT LONG. It looks like it was too far away to be a problem, but we were kept awake by the constant barking even with the AC on and a sound machine. If you’re not a light sleeper, it’s a great hotel, but I’m here to sleep!

Restaurant food was very good

Hot tub wasn't hot - pillows were not that great - air-conditioning didnt work that great - room was humid at night

I had a surprise parking charge on my credit card statement. When I checked in the clerk told me parking is free! Who pays for parking in the middle of no where is San Bernardino anyways! No notice of parking charge when I made reservations either but 2 days after I left I see a charge on my statement. The hotel is saying there are signs everywhere about parking fee as if I’m going to spend my vacation reading signs when the hotel clerk tells me it’s free! Cheap hotel. The AC was so old and made so much noise we had to turn it off t be able to sleep at night.

Location and lots of restaurants

Smoke alarm went off around 5:30 am and after calling the front desk, security came up and gave me cards to a new room next door. Although I was able to move my things next door, I thought they could have offered me a free breakfast for the inconvenience of having to move to another room at that time of morning.

Very clean and quiet. Small shop to purchase items, also with a full bar and restaurant.

How I was treated with the inconvenience of having a broken hot tub and being downgraded rooms and charged more.

Good size room and generally well equipped. The pool area was lovely too. Marianne in reception was excellent and really helpful. Excellent washing machines and dryers; fast and efficient and good value.

The room had dreadful lighting, it was so dark especially in the ‘living room’ area. Also we really wanted an additional mirror in the room in addition to the bathroom one.

The staff was respectful and kind, thank you for a great service !!

From 4am to 7am this morning (MARCH 23rd) the Grease trap was being drained & the smell was so strong and so terrible it caused my girlfriend to throw up multiple times. We also had to check out 4 hours early because of this. I mean it was really really bad honestly.

We are a British family who decided to spend our two week Christmas holiday across in California to try to find some winter sunshine :o) Here is my review of the Hilton Garden Inn in San Bernardino. We had checked in on the Hilton app, and had obtained digital key. but we realised that we needed to sort out the parking, and get a permit from the front desk. Sheryl sorted us out quickly, and efficiently. She was friendly, and helpful, and made us up a couple of physical keys. In the UK, and across in mainland Europe we get breakfast at every Hilton property, as we're Hilton Honors Diamond. It's different in the US, and very few hotels provide breakfast as a benefit. The Hilton Garden Inn is no exception, you don't get a free breakfast here even if you're Gold or Diamond. I know things are changing this year, but if you're from the UK, just be aware that things are different in North America. What you do get however, is a food credit, which varies in the amount depending on the hotel brand, and location. At this HGI the credit was ten dollars for two adults. Sheryl was kind enough to explain it to us, and to help us when we used the credit to buy items from the lobby "shop" which used a self service system. The room was clean, and pleasantly furnished. We had enough toiletries, and towels for the whole family. Sometimes it gets tedious when you're having to ask for enough towels for everyone in your family, but that wasn't an issue here. We all had a good nights sleep, and made use of the in room Keurig style coffee maker, and the microwave for a quick breakfast before we drove to Universal Studios. All in all, we had a pleasant experience at the hotel, and we really couldn't fault it. That said, our experiences in downtown San Bernardino were a tad shady in some places. It felt a little unsafe in various areas. But we had zero safety concerns at the hotel whatsoever. If you're passing through, or visiting SB, we would certainly recommend the HGI. I liked the food and the overall friendliness of the staff. They were very helpful. I liked the fact that there was. microwave and refridgerator.

The hot tub or whirlpool in the room was extremely dirty, I called the from desk and reported it they said they would tell the appropriate people. I was in room 234 and I too pictures of the dirt and hair that was left in the whirlpool. I cleaned it out my self and reported it but don't know if anything was done about it like to receive a complimentary night or something like that. No one asked me after I reported it. I believe the person who took the call was named Geri.

Overall, was great except I have to pay for the parking lot, $12 per night. I noticed is stated in Booking but at the lower end barely noticeable. Same with the hotel Hilton Double Tree close by. They should cut this annoying extra fee or include in the full price of the room. This is the only reason why I rated 8.

My son and I had a quick stopover here on our way from San Francisco. We booked a Double Queen room. My bed was extremely comfortable, as always with Hilton premises. Unfortunately my son’s bed creaked very badly, making it difficult for both of us to sleep. (These things happen). I mentioned it to reception who advised the manager was not working that day. On her return she contacted me and refunded the price of the room. That is what I call Customer Service, the most important thing in hospitality. Thank you.

Good hotel, great conference facilities, and nice staff. Rooms need a little updating as they’re worn down a bit, but I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is situated just off of the freeway making it an easy access to get both on and off the atmosphere is quite pleasant. It is very quiet. Are very clean and it is priced at a reasonable rate. In terms of amenities they have a little restaurant downstairs. They have a little store with plenty of snacks and drinks. My room was very clean..

Friendly staff upon check in and they were very informative on what we could expect. Breakfast in the morning was great and Sebastian was fantastic.

Nice and relaxing

I realized until I got there that I had to pay a $200 deposit on top of my payment. For the room. The air conditioning was broke. You have to pay for TV and internet or sign up for their club to get it free or something like that. The beds are hard and lumpy could not sleep disabled and have very bad pain. Severe pain so I couldn't sleep well. Cuz the bed and the covers and the sheet was very uncomfortable. The chair in the room is worn down. Thank goodness, all you need it to stay one night and I will not return again.

The air condition unit on the roof outside the room was unbearly noisy until 10 pm and as of 6 am. We asked for another room but none was available. Accessing the Internet was a major pain - ultimately only the staff could to it - after several attempts. Nice pool though.

The Hilton Garden Inn, San Bernardino has very warm and friendly staff, and the restaurant bar tender, Araceli, makes everyone feel like family. This facility goes over and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and happy. Thank you so much for being an awesome place to stay.

The people working the front desk were excellent ! The room and the shower ect bed were excellent. Very cozy and we slept well

Quiet and comfortable. A good stay close to two major freeways. Very convenient. The daily parking was a surprise. I didn't appreciate the front desk attendant making it sound like it was just going to be "covered" by the $200 deposit, like wasn't paying anything. I did get to see security checking parking vouchers. So there is something the $12 a day is paying for.

The rooms are decent, clean and tidy. The location is good and close to most of the places in San Bernardino. The parking is good, but paid.

They have the worst breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel. It was stale, old and cold. Even the fruit was at least 3 days old. The tater tots and sausages were old and cold. Plus they charged us $25 extra no reason. I still can’t get why from them. Overall terrible, will never book with this hotel or brand again. Terrible.

You get the room with expida but they dnt tell you You’re still gonna leave a 200 deposit to get the room. Ac was working when I shower all the water was falling down the side. To much money for what it is

Hotel was nice, a little louder than I thought it would be with the traffic but not bad. Room was nice, and the staff was excellent.

Nice clean room and reception areas. In-room AC units too loud for trying to sleep. Had a minor problem with room, but told the front desk and it was resolved before I returned to room.

Whirlpool room was amazing!

I always choose the Hilton Garden Inn in San Bernardino whenever I visit because it’s such a great hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the entire property is very clean and well-maintained. The pool is always heated and stays open late, which makes it easy to relax after a long day. The food here is consistently delicious, and I appreciate that the business printer always works when I need it. Overall, this hotel offers comfort, convenience, and excellent service every time.

They charge 12 dollars for a vehicle. I think that would be fair after the first vehicle

I had a two night stay. From September 1st to 3rd, 2025. The staff took very care of me and my brother for the time we were there. Ramon Henry has great customer and very friendly attitude. Mirna Melendes went above and beyond what was expected in cleaning our room. Great job!!!
