The staff and the ease at which everything runs
Atmosphere and service
The staff were amazing, very welcoming and we loved the spa and swimming pool. Rooms clean and comfy, in need of modernisation but overall great. The location suited us but it is remote, a car is a must.
The food in the restaurant was ok- nothing special. Breakfast was good and the carvery lunch was lovely. The hotel is on need of modernisation, the corridor from reception to the rooms is a bit of an obstacle course with staff moving between staff areas and lots of marks and damage to the walls, made me worried for what the rooms would look like but they were great.
secret garden and staff
expensive with no breakfast room old fashioned had stirfry in bar wouldnt recommend
We liked the pool, and it was very handy to have robs provided and towels by hotel.
When we were booking the room there were no option to book a breakfast.
Noise from the motorway and no breakfast with room when we paid €309 for 1 night check was too early also
Responded over the phone when called
Window was facing roof of another building in front and bed making was poorly done and floor was not vacuumed
Ease of check in/ check out. 9.30pm cut off for ordering bar snacks is a real bonus for late arrivals.
Nothing comes to mind.

Beautiful hotel. Secret garden was amazing and the leisure center was ideal. I had my six year old daughter with me and she wants to go back already. Very relaxing place and the food was great aswell.
I really can’t say anything here. There’s nothing we didn’t like.
Beautiful hotel and gardens .Great for children
Expensive to stay with no breckfast.Breckfast was extra si making it expensive for a family .
Nice hotel, great base to tour around Louth and Armagh

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war gross und gut eingerichtet. Wir haben und sehr wohl gefühlt.
Love the secret garden and the spa.. found the the place to be good place to chilling.

The hidden cafe and garden food was absolutely amazing 😎
Loved every inch we stayed here only a few ago aswell friends were telling us about it anyone we spoke had either stayed there or heated great things about it
Skikelig flott sted. Personalet tar stolthet i å jobbe der. Veldig god mat. Rent & komfortabel
Frokosten var litt spart på: ikke så stort utvalg, fersk brød og litt tynn kaffe.
I love everything about the Carrickdale especially the food and staff a very friendly..😊
Excellent room, good, very helpful, staff and excellent location. I enjoyed the Breakfast and the grill room burger. Definitely will stay here again. Top Marks for the water bottle top up initiative. The machine easy to use and lovely chilled water.
Minor gripe, a bit of a Warren, better signage might help and a floor plan in the otherwise very helpful folder in the bedroom.
I traveled with my sister and her two sons, one who is autistic. He was over simulated in the morning and couldn't face leaving the room. The breakfast staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful to arrange a takeaway breakfast that I could bring to their room. My room was lovely and bright but I offered to switch with my sister as her room was smaller and a little more difficult to get to especially with bags and a child with special needs.
Pool water was freezing. And staff seemed generally busy with sports teams and communions but that's more time of year then reflection on them. I have stayed before and it was much quieter and better experience.
I was at the WIB Conference and the venue was fantastic. Well organised, well laid out and the staff on hand were always available and helpful.
My room was over the entrance and the wind around the flagpole kept me awake all night. The curtains don't close right to the end, so the bright external spotlights shone in as well.
Sadly- breakfast wasn’t included
The spa was across a road
Very very impressive. The staff are amazing, super clean!
Everything
We were made to feel so welcomed and it was my daughters communion and they went all out for her. She was made feel like a princess
Everything was perfect not one bad thing to say
Handy location, not far from the North /ROI border. Very nice staff. Beautiful secret garden and cafe, there is also a play park for younger kids . Room was very spacious. Tasty cooked vegetarian breakfast.
Did find it difficult to find the room but that might be just a me thing.. Menu could do with a few more vegetarian options.
Everything was fabulous.Thank you! The food was delicious 😋
.
Room was dusty. Coffee cups were used already. Someone’s half eaten sandwich in fridge. Bathroom can’t even talk about it. More hair in there than a hairdressers floor.
Breakfast was very nice ,the choices were excelkent
Honestly I can't fault anything
Everything the spa and sunday carvery to most.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was comfortable with lots of quiet areas to relax. The leisure facilities were great also, especially the outdoor hot tub.
Nothing
Had a fantastic time room was beautiful and loads of space for 4 adults large bathroom stayed in room 402
Nothing it was an excellent stay food was beautiful only downside 2 hours music would have liked longer
The triple room was a good size, plenty of space in it!
The beds were clean but very poorly dressed, sheets wernt tucked in and kept slipping off the mattress.
Everything from start to finish was exceptional, from the open fire at reception to the staff to lovely big bedroom and en-suite to the food, just amazing!
Nothing to dislike!
A good range of breakfast options. Prompt service and courteous and cheerful staff both for serving food and drinks and at reception. Plenty of parking and easy to find when travelling from the M1 motorway. Good quality free WIFI
Room numbering was a bit random and directions to my room could be clearer. Room numbers (in lobby above gym/pool) should be in accordance with floor and signs didn't list all the rooms on a given floor. Traffic noise at certain times.
Nice relaxing
Lovely venue, fabulous food, friendly and accommodating staff. Didn't get a chance to go to the pool but will definitely stay again and use.
Breakfast not included although can be purchased on site. We opted for a lunch in the secret garden. It was amazing and really good value.
