Excellent location. Lovely traditional hotel. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Reception staff very helpful and welcoming. Excellent value breakfast and very pleasant dining area

Excellent friendly staff. Everywhere very clean. Facilitated us by storing our bikes safely in their stores area. Lovely pool with helpful and cheerful staff.

I hadn't realised the hotel was opposite a noisy bus depot with lots of coming and going until late in the evening. That's not the hotel's fault but just to be aware, especially if you like to keep a window open at night.

Price I felt was too much for room only, if breakfast was Included price would be okey, got sandwiches , tea, when we arrived they were not good and well overpriced wasn't impressed so didn't eat anything else at hotel.

Overpriced for room only and sandwiches way overpriced and very sparce also bad presentation of said food.

The room was large and comfortable, the food was great, and the staff were super throughout my stay. I used the gym, pool, and sauna and these were also great.

Minor thing, but at breakfast there was often a wait to be seated as staff were busy serving everyone. This was the only thing I could thing of.

I arrived late at night and left early in the morning as I was taking part of a bike race - the staff there were incredibly friendly and accomodating.

A little on the pricey side

I'd been to Newry many times and popped into the hotel for a drink but never stayed. Will make a point to stay again on my next visit to the area. Hotel is well maintained, beautiful lobby, bar, restaurant. Breakfast was very good, didn;t have dinner but many people did in the bar. Lively, good atmosphere. Easy parking.

The Canal Court is in a great location, close to Newry Town centre and all major routes with free accessible parking. The rooms are spacious and staff most helpful and professional.

Hotel is in need of modernisation especially in reception and lift areas.......'brown' decor definitely no no

The room was excellent staff were brilliant the lunch we had was very good but the evening meal was a little below what we we’re expecting

Gym/fitness suite has what you need, almost, but all the equipment is need of modernising and tidying up, but said does the job. Room facilities are basic; tea/coffee etc. lady on reception at check out was as dull as dish water

Was very nice. Cooked breakfast with a gluten free option. Bacon could be crispier - the only downside.

Lattes and cappuchinos were extras that gad to be paid for. They were great tho.

Congratulations to the management and staff at the hotel. Evryone we interacted with was incredibly polite and welcoming. We were even offered a lift by one of the staff members into warrenpoint when no taxis were available. Thank you.

The room was spotlessly clean but a £200/night room that has a 20 inch tv, 5 channels that we could find and little in the way of refinement left us feeling a little deflated. Absolutely no issues with beds, linen or towels it just felt like the rooms were a little tired. The brown wood effect either needs replacing or polished, the glass top side board needs lifting and cleaned both sides, the self closing doors to stairways need to be stiffened up to stop the banging when people go through them. Nothing spoiled our 2 night stay, the entertainment that we joined late on in the evening was fun, the numerous bar staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Parking was easy and free. As our base for the "blues" festival it was perfectly fine, maybe next year you could sell the weekend with a minibus service to get to and from Warrenpoint as the bus timetable is woeful and the taxis expensive?

Member of staff parked across the yellow box and got out of car with her husband, we politely asked them to move as it wasn't a parking spot and there response was I work here I'll do what I want , fuck off you c***s , wasn't exactly the start to our stay we wanted , we then seen the husband and partner in bar which they made my partner feel uncomfortable which we reported to member of reception and nothing was done so ended up leaving the bar and going to a bar outside the hotel which we didn't anticipate doing

I liked the Banner information on the walls downstairs indicating the age of the building and its roots back in time. I heard my friends commenting on the portions on the plates at the meals .... nothing skimpy at all and all very enjoyable. Good quality food and beautifully prepared and served. I would have thought the booking included breakfast. Maybe it was my box ticking error. I appreciated the tea making facility in the room and the information about the drinking water available on the corridor. I was also impressed with the water dispenser sensor which stopped the flowing immediately so that so water was wasted or splashed at that point. I found the room too warm at night but could not manage the control the switch on the wall. I met someone from a different area of the hotel who had turned it the heat but that control was not obvious in my room. I wondered there was no toilet brush in the Bathroom. There was no guide for the stations on the TV. I found it hard to locate the stations/programs I wanted to watch. Overall the rooms and all the public areas of the hotel were very well furnished and maintained all adding to the very pleasant and positive ambiance. Staff members working there for long numbers of years says something very positive about the working environment ... a loyalty that cannot be bought nevertheless invaluable.

My visit was too short which shows that there was no sense of a need to get away from there. No difficulty that could not be dealt with. Left with a feeling I would like to come back sometime PG.

A bit dark in places and some carpets need replaced (Reception area). Also, a bit under-staffed.

Breakfast was lovely couldnt fault it. Staff were all exceptional and location good. Very comfortable bed.

Could do with refurbishment esp the bedroom and toilet, cracked ceilings in bedroom with stains from leaks above, shower door leaking and holes in tiles patched up, outdated. The pool was ok but could also do with an update. Long waits on lifts due to some being out of service and not easy with toddler and pregnant.

Large, clean well maintained and comfy ensuite bedroom. Great breakfast and lovely evening meal.in the restaurant. Friendly staff. Was there for a business function which was well organised by responsive staff, good conference room and lovely lunch.

The building is a bit of a maze.

Very diffivult to find breakfast room. I found 7 other guests who got lost too. The lift needs a notice. Breakfast was worth waiting for- top class!
