Very nice facilities just of main highway.

The breakfast entrees were very good, but the other selections (bread, pastries, cereal, etc.) were minimal.

Excellent food and very generous portions. Beds were very comfortable with larger rooms / bathrooms.

Convenient if you have a car not so good if you plan to walk

Beautiful place, the staff were fabulous, everyone we met, haven't come across a bunch of staff like them in a long time. The receptionist in particular was amazing, comfy beds, breakfast was best iv had in a long time. Would absolutely stay again.

Family room was a little expensive. 2 slats on the camp bed the child was sleeping on were broken.

Everything was fabulous, staff lovely, great food, great atmosphere in bar, would highly recommend.

Great location, close to motorway and 50mins to Belfast port. The food is great, and Guinness is very good. Food and drink are very reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast was excellent, all of the staff in the Lodge were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we needed for a wonderful stay.

The car park is on a steep hill, so that was a bit of a challenge with mobility issues, however, here was plenty of room to park and we always seemed to get a spot near to the entrance.

Would prefer walk in shower rather than shower in bath as my partner has a physical disability. I should hv put a request for that I just thought most places now have walk in showers

Bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Coffee and tea available in room. Breakfast offers a wide range of food including fruit , juice , cereals and delicious cooked breakfast. Fiona was very professional and helped with all our needs and gave us excellent choices of places to visit , all with a big smile. Dinner in the restaurant menu offered many choices , very reasonably priced and did not disappoint. I would definitely return tomorrow if I could.

Beautiful decor and was spotless. Beds really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and quite a choice. We arrived late due to flight delay the lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful.

The only thing was the steep car park when I got out of the car I was walking like I was drunk 😂 but I was sober

She's doing such a great job and makes you feel special. Would love to stay again and wanted to stay in other branches as well if they have them.

It's our 2nd time staying in this beautiful hotel. This time we booked a family room snd they gave us A lovely spacious room with a View. Was amazing. A big thank you to the staff at the Reception always so polite and friendly. Great customer service. Also the Lovely guy who served us breakfast was so pleasant & friendly.

1 of the woman who took our order for dinner that evening was very loud and rude when we politely asked if we could order our main course a bit later as we eat very slow and she rudely answered that kitchen will be closing soon and also she kept eyeing us while we were eating which made us very uncomfortable.

We loved every minute of our stay, the staff the food the surroundings the Lodge itself was exceptional they are fantastic with kids also. The staff are genuinely the nicest people we ever met especially Regina & Niall who went above and beyond for us to make our stay and special day the most memorable for us. We will forever be greatful to you both and all the team at the flagstaff. A promise to ourselves we will most definitely be returning each year for our anniversary. Thank you all again so much.

There is not one thing we could fault

The location is excellent with easy access to the motorway. The rooms are spotless, fantastic food and exceptional service from the lovely staff.

Beautiful place. Spotless. Riom was clean and perfect for my needs. Big plus was the provision of a fan, which was very welcome. Lovely girl in reception on Saturday who was so helpful and pleasant. Think her name was Teresa. Black haired lady. A big asset to the hotel.

I found the car park to be quite tricky. It is so sloped that parking and trying to exit your car is a challenge.

Great welcome on arrival, staff so very helpful and welcoming. My room was upgraded on arrival for which I delighted with as it was a lovely room. Brilliant breakfast was served on both days of my stay. The scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was delicious 😋

The Flagstaff was friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful with lovely view. We had booked dinner both nights, it is a very busy place, great atmosphere and exceptional food and service. Breakfast was very good also.

Lovely hotel with very nice staff. My room had all I needed . It was cosy. I had a vegetable curry and it was amazing the evening I arrived. Breakfast was great too. Great service and high quality food and great service. Set near the shops and centre. the car park is on a slope. Amazing view. Good petrol station near by. I managed to find my way to carlingford which is lovely. Enjoyed my time exploring newry and shopping and lovely to be near water. Lovely hotel with great staff.

All personnel were great. The room was a good size. Nice large fan in the room, both windows could be opened. Offered a side board with cold items along with hot menu items. Had evening meal here. The food is pretty good.

The parking lot. The front lot has steep parking, and you come up with steps to reception. Handicap parking is not level. Can come in side door but walking through the restaurant. There is a small parking lot to the rear of the building, pull in spots that use better positioning than the front lot (front east to west parking) back lot (more north to south). Note that the shower has a large tub and high side walls. This seems to be the norm most places stayed in UK & Ireland.

You cannot fault anything regarding our stay at Flagstaff. From the moment of arriving till departing. Both my kids stayed here and both say the staff were exceptional. My son arrived around 01:30 am and they went to the trouble of booking him a taxi from the bus station to the hotel and on arrival offered him tea or coffee, I have never had this happen to me, nor heard of it happening, so hats off to Flagstaff Lodge Staff. I do hope the owner appreciates the people they have working for them as they represent the hotel and in what a way they do. Thank you all.

Tolles Hotel, sehr nettes Personal. Die Zimmer waren sauber, die Betten ok. Schreibtisch vorhanden, falls man beruflich unterwegs ist. Mein Zimmer hatte eine Dusche und einen Handtuchwärmer. Das Restaurant war gut besucht und das Essen dort sehr lecker und in großen Portionen serviert. Preislich war es ok, jedenfalls nicht teuer. Das Restaurant wird auch als Event-Location gebucht und es sind nicht nur Hotelgäste anwesend. Reservierungen sind daher wohl empfohlen. Das Personal war auch im Restaurant sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker, man kann aus einer Karte verschiedene Varianten wählen. Wir haben das typische irische Frühstück genossen. Es gibt dann noch ein kleines Mini-Buffet, aber eher für die Müsli-Fraktion.

Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln, ausser vielleicht den Ausblick aus unseren Zimmern - wir hatten da nur eine graue Wand vor uns, was allerdings nicht wirklich störte. Wir waren eigentlich nur am Abend dort. Die anderen Zimmer dürften eine deutlich schöne Aussicht auf das umliegende Land haben.

The room was spacious, beds comfortable. Bathroom was huge and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and freshly prepared for the order. We had dinner at the restaurant and all dishes were huge and very tasty.

Very friendly welcome, room was very clean and well presented. Dinner was in the main bar and very nice although very nice it was a large plate full and very filling as such I had no room for a desert. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice of cooked items, staff serving were very nice and attentive.

Not sure if the shower had been used recently as although very clean it took rather a long time for the hot water to come through when I first arrived, however in the morning it was much quicker.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Flagstaff Hotel. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. The place itself is beautiful, comfortable, and has such a welcoming atmosphere—but what really made the experience stand out was the people and the food. The food was excellent throughout—top quality, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It really added to the whole experience. Gary, the owner, couldn’t have been more accommodating—genuinely friendly, approachable, and clearly takes great pride in the place. Regina, the manager, was equally impressive—professional, attentive, and always on hand to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so well looked after, and that’s down to the standard they both set. I couldn’t recommend the Flagstaff Hotel highly enough and will definitely be returning

The room was big and very bright. Lovely comfortable bed, staff were so helpful, friendly, and homely. We just loved the place and are going back in the summer. The food in the bar is second to none and we had a super breakfast with plenty of choice. Thanks to everyone at the Flagstaff Lodge.
