Great location if using the ferry. We booked the on site off street parking and breakfast, which were both helpful and delicious. We arrived quite late off of the ferry and the reception kindly called to check we were on our way which was kind and appreciated as it was late and helped us find our way. Great customer service, thank you.

Amazing location and delicious breakfast

The location and the seaview room were good. We enjoyed the breakfast in a beautiul reception room. The owners were very helpful and promote green energy saving ideas throughout the hotel. The beautiful beach was on our doorstep and the area was very pleasant for walks.

Having to pay €10 per night for parking and also €7 to have kettle and tea/coffee tray in bedroom.

Second great stay in this hotel, suited our purpose perfectly. Staff very helpful organising taxi for early departure to catch a ferry. Sorry to miss put on excellent breakfast.

The fact that although I had requested (and received confirmation of) a space in their secure onsite car park when I arrived I was told it was full. A secure parking space is my number one priority for this particular trip. After a nine hour drive I did not appreciate having to find a space in a public car park some distance away.

Les chambres non insonorisées : entendre les bruits de la chambre voisine : les 2 personnes qui parlent, un réveil ou une alarme de tél qui sonne vers 4h30 du matin, des bruits de pas au-dessus, des bagages qui se préparent. Vraiment très dommage car à part ces désagréments, l'hôtel est vraiment très bien.

Heel centrale ligging, vlakbij het strand en centrum van Ouistreham. Ideale uitvalsbasis om de streek te verkennen. Het hotel heeft een privé parking (niet gratis).

Het hotel is stilaan aan renovatie toe. Het is ook de eerste keer dat ik, op voorhand, moest aangeven hoeveel brood en croissants we tijdens het ontbijt zouden nuttigen. (Verder is het ontbijt heel uitgebreid.)

Lovely big windows - our view was over the car park & garden. Ideal for a short stay. Central and clean. Parking was great - paid €10 for the night.

Breakfast was great, fantastic decor in dining room with windows towards beach. Very helpful staff with dry, secure place to leave bikes. Loved the genuine historic building and the thoughtful information pack in the room. We loved our top floor room and on our second visit, the beach front aspect, however there are stairs rather than lifts.

No tea & coffee in the room, but room service was available.

Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Mentioned we might best not use Bookings.com in future as they charge less direct.

Room on 2nd floor. We have used the hotel several times before, yet they did not know one if us is moderately disabled with difficulty using stairs. A lift would be appropriate in quite a tall building. Prebooked secure parking in the grounds, but all places had been taken already. Had to use a staff parking area, which was luckily not used that day. On a previous occasion the main electric gates were left open all night , so not private or secure yet charged for.

Reception only open until 8pm. We arrived on the ferry from Portsmouth and had some trouble contacting the reception as we were quite late (although we were informed of this prior to our stay). There was no elevator so we needed to carry heavy bags upstairs. Rooms very basic with minimal facilities other than a bed and a bathroom. A sign on the mirror said that they are on a slow flow water system so the hot water may take a long time to come through, so my daughter ended up having a cold shower. Very 1970s standard.

Convenient for late night arrival on ferry from UK. The room was perfectly functional.

The room smelt very odd - a little like an equestrian facility. However we had wonderful big windows so had plenty of fresh air. Entry after the reception is closed is somewhat confusing - be sure to read all the information they give you.

- unfreundlicher erster Eindruck der Damen an der Rezeption - Unterkunft antwortete nicht zeitgerecht auf meine Nachrichten bei booking.com (zB.: Anfrage einer Parkplatzreservierung - die Dame an der Rezeption fragte mich beim Check-in wiederum warum ich denn keinen Parkplatz reserviert hätte) - wir erreichten die Unterkunft vor Check-in und fragten nach einem Kaffee, um die Zeit zu überbrücken, was die Dame an der Rezeption jedoch verneinte, da keine Frühstückszeit mehr sei !? An der Rezeption stand allerdings ein Aufsteller mit Kaffeangeboten ohne eine zeitliche Einschränkung (siehe Bild im Anhang)

L’emplacement parfait, juste en face de la plage. Le style du bâtiment et les chambres et salles de bain parfaitement rénovées. Bonne literie et rideaux occultants. Un joli jardin avec tables et chaises.

Le parking payant à dix euros par jour, (Mais pas trop le choix car le stationnement en front de mer est payant aussi) Pas d’ascenseur dans ce bâtiment ancien ; il faut être en capacité de monter un étage pour accéder à l’accueil, ensuite encore 1 ou 2 étages pour atteindre les chambres. Pas de restauration ni de bar sur place : pour le repas du soir l’hôtel propose des restaurants locaux (ou une solution de dépannage avec pizza)

Secure car parking

The car park was not accessible before 3 pm and we did not know we had to pay ,€10 until we arrived. I had to phone while parked half on the road to ask for the gate to be opened. We were most definitely NOT allowed to access the room even a minute before 3 pm. The bar closed at 8 pm and the bar seating area was shuttered and inaccessible. Room service also finished at 8 pm. All staff had locked up and left by 8 pm. It all felt a bit Fawlty Towers

Great location, interesting historic buildings, great friendly team who welcomed us off the 2200 ferry - which means 2300 after passport queues at the port

The hotel is characterful (like a little chateau) with a nice garden, right opposite the beach and near the main street. The staff were very welcoming and charming and made us lovely tea. Our triple room was large and comfortable with great sea view.

Very well located opposite the beach and a few minutes from shops and restaurants in the centre of Ouistreham. An interesting and historic building, nicely maintained with pleasant gardens and good parking. Our room was unfussy but comfortable and great for a night stop before catching the early ferry. Staff were very welcoming and efficient.

Unfortunately the curtain pole and curtains made it impossible to ventilate the room well with the curtains closed. As it was very warm this made the room uncomfortably hot and stuffy and there is no AC or a fan. This would prevent us from staying here again as we prefer to have an open window overnight.

Everything. It’s our first choice for Ouistreham.

C'est une maison où l'on se sent tout de suite bien. Le buffet du petit déjeuner présentait des produits locaux et de qualité.

Il faisait très chaud dans la salle de bain à notre arrivée mais les conditions climatiques étaient exceptionnelles (jour de grosse canicule).

We arrived at 23h35, long after the usual latest check-in thanks to post Brexit holdups at the port, but we were greeted with charm and friendliness by our hostess. The room was cool, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. A very welcome facility is a row of 6 car charging points.

The location is perfect. The bed very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly.

The hotel is very very tired overall. The hallway and stairs are grotty and in need of decorating, along with new carpets. We paid £130 for a sea facing room which I don’t feel was value for money overall .

Good breakfast. Quiet rooms. Direct access to beach. Close to the main commercial street. Walking distance to ferry terminal.
