Reviewed Sep 16, 2026The premium rooms were just as described and facing the mountain. It was quiet and very clean. We would stay again. It was a lovely hotel.
Everyone was wonderful and provided excellent service, with one exception. We had an unpleasant experience with a lady with a long ponytail who was working in the restaurant. It was around 7:30 in the evening, and we simply asked if we could sit in the restaurant area and have a couple of drinks. We had eaten there the night before and spent over $350 on our meal, in addition to purchasing two premium rooms at the property. Unfortunately, her response was very gruff and unwelcoming, and she made it very clear that she did not want us sitting there. We were surprised and disappointed by the interaction, especially considering how much we had enjoyed the property and the wonderful service from everyone else. We hope this was an isolated experience, as the rest of our stay was very positive.

Possibly eggs offered cooked in other ways. Very minor was the clutter of luggage that occupied the lounge area when guests checked in/out either early/late

Kopfkissen war für mich zu weich. Ein Allround Shampoo, Duschgel und Seife. Wäre das Tüpfelchen auf dem „I“ wenn Conditioner und Haarshampoo gehabt hätte. Preis- Leistung für 15m2 Zimmer inclusive Gang und Bad ohne Balkon hoch angesetzt.

The Staff we very miserable and unfriendly Had to wait at an unattended reception for 30 minutes despite talking with the restaurant staff Breakfast was a disgrace - worst I have ever seen in a hotel Restaurant closed at 8:30pm on a Friday night - would have been nice to tell us that as we arrived at 7:30pm and waited until 8pm to check in.

The price is ultra expensive for the services being offered. Breakfast is poor Reception felt quite rejective, rolling the eyes about pretty much anything I asked. I got the help with one small request, but made me feel like I am disturbing them even by asking.

Myself and my partner are both vegan and we let the hotel know in advance and the order especially made sure to have vegan food available for us which was so nice. Also, nice cosy common area to relax and read a book after a day of hiking.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026This hotel is genuinely, all things taken into consideration, the vert best hotel I have ever stayed at. Yes, it's expensive, but there's a reason for that - not only because of it's location, but because the transportation of food and sundries to run the hotel must require great expense from the owners of the hotel due to it's remote location. The hotel owners are always present, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The setting of the hotel is unparalleled - simply the most awesome and jaw-dropping view across the valley to the three great mountains of the Bernese Oberland. The stunning terrace where you can dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner cannot be beaten for the quality of the food and the scenery from your table! The rooms were modern, high-spec, and spotlessly clean. I was tempted to stay in a more rustic, 'authentic' Swiss alpine hotel, but I'm so glad I didn't because that injection of modern comforts that this hotel offers is the perfect way to appreciate this stunning village and it's awe-inspiring surroundings. Perfect in every way, and I would like to commend the owners of the hotel for their incredible hospitality.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026The terrace for the Restaurant had the most amazing view of mountains and scenery. We could watch paragliders float right by our table in the valley next to the Terrace. I’m impression of SWISS. People are very stoic. The initial contact was not very warm. However, staying there for two days and having exchanges with staff members they turned out to be quite nice and became more friendly and warmer. I won’t be critical. I’ll just say perhaps I needed to adjust to the culture.
No refrigerator in the room. I have medication’s are required refrigeration. However the desk clerk was very helpful to label my medication’s and put them in the kitchen refrigerator. I easily retrieved my medication’s upon checking out.

Oddly, there was no mini-fridge in our room. We were in a standard double, which might have been the reason for this. The property has a “premium” level of rooms which could have different amenities.
