Perfect location
Nothing
Excellent location, with great views over the Menai Straight. Lovely welcome at reception. Room was clean, tidy and just what we were after. We were there to drop daughter at university so was 10 mins walk to the Halls and 15 - 20 mins to the high street.
Nothing not to like
Great service. Great food. Spacious rooms.
This time round there was a stale smell in the room. Not fresh. I was immediately moved to another room. Nothing is too much trouble.
Gutes Restaurant, freundliches Personal
Making use of a historical building. The facilities were basic but clean and acceptable, not sure it was good value for money though. I guess with limited availability visitors will pay.
All the stairs!! Would not recommend it for visitors woth young children and/or lots of luggage.
Great rooms. Great service

Have been before, food is outstanding. We had evening meals this time and they were lovely too.
We put the sign out for the cleaner but they did not attend, we had to contact the reception. Then another day the towels were changed but the tea and coffee wasnt replaced and we had to contact reception again.
Staff were lovely especially the Irish lady who greeted us at breakfast. Breakfast buffet was excellent - lots of choice. Good location - a good base for exploring Anglesey. The area around the Garth Pier is really great.
The communal areas are very corporate, very sterile especially the bar. We went for a drink in the bar but it was soulless.
We had an excellent stay at Kendrick B&B in Llandudno. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was exceptional, and our host Nathan was incredibly welcoming. The service was friendly, efficient, and made our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend Kendrick B&B!
Nothing to dislike
24 hr check in Onsite parking Very quiet Good breakfast
Nice location. Very clean and great breakfast.
Asked for a room with a view but only got a partial side view which was a little disappointing.
Fan supplied in room. Breakfast good.
drinks tray not replenished. . One bedside light not working Evening meal disappointing since last visit two years ago.
Rooms are great. Service is excellent.

Great location&staff
Fabulous room and very comfy bed ( upgraded to executive suite ) Amazing view of Menai straits Delicious breakfast Walking distance from pier and high street Peaceful and quiet
Nothing. Perfect stay
Setting is unbelievable Meals were excellent- breakfast and dinner Staff were pleasant and helpful
Coffee shop was closed Room was slightly 'tired' looking but still very comfortable
The food in the restaurant was astounding. Great choice and great quality, both for breakfast and evening meals. And one of the best hotel showers we've encountered.
If I were forced to think of a point to criticise, I guess I could say that the furniture in the room was a little dated? But it was in good condition and perfectly functional. Also, if the bar could have draught beers, that would be a cherry on top of the cake?
the property is beautiful with a gorgeous view. the building is grand. the staff were helpful and kind. The bathroom was modern, comfortable, and pleasant.
The building was confusing to navigate and challenging to people with mobility issues. The furniture was unacceptably tired, worn, and sad. Really? The bed was uncomfortable, and the lumps and valleys revealed its age. The sitting chairs in the room may have been the ones the Beatles sat in when they were last in Bangor.
Hard to navigate the facility.reception should give you a map
Good location and beautiful views
Very average for the price. Quite dated with decor straight out of the 1970s. Grubby at the edges- could benefit from basic maintenance such as redecorating and fixing leaking showers
So reasonable and practical for a quick stay over - with the added bonus of amazing staff!
Clean and tidy, staff are friendly
Nothing, the property is lovely
Familiarity. I stay frequently.
Nothing.
Good location, kind and friendly staff!
Bed was uncomfortable, it lacked on facilities seemed like I transported myself back in time 20 years!
Lovely breakfast and evening meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The layout was initially confusing.
Central location
Some items on the breakfast were overcooked
+ room size + bathroom + bed comfort + breakfast + parking The Management Centre we picked for our Zip World trip. It's only 22 min by car from the Penhryn Quarry. The room size was great. The bathroom was modernized compared to some other aspects of the building, we were quite happy with it. Bed comfort and temperature were excellent, I had a really good night's sleep. The included breakfast absolutely went over our expectations as both of us were satisfied and one of us is vegan - there were some really solid vegan options available. Included parking was spacious with plenty of spaces available.
- squeaky floor - labyrinth of corridors The only downsides would be a massively squeaky floor in the reception lobby (but this does not affect your start whatsoever) and a labyrinth of corridors - it takes a moment to find yourself how to get to your room. Otherwise, our stay was excellent.
Very clean room. Had everything we needed. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly and helpful
Nothing
Nic.
Breakfast kitchen staff
Front office staff unhelpful and un friendly. Rooms x 2 booked in a single booking for family of four , allocated in 2 separate buildings in a barely accessible location through a convoluted route on 3rd floor especially for a 10yr old in a leg brace with no lift access in several areas. Completely unsympathetic front office staff shocking attitude!
Location, staff and breakfast was top notch!
A great place to stay, such friendly staff, very comfortable accommodation and excellent food in the 1884 restaurant and the breakfast buffet! A good location for exploring the local area, close to Anglesey and some great National Trust Properties.
Breakfast was excellent really tasty
Tended to get lost going to the room
Very good breakfast.
Nothing.
Quiet place in a convenient location.. Clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was a delight with wide range. Lot of fruit for dessert
Everything was great!
Close to town and nice walking areas
Location
I thought the hotel was tired old and very basic
clean every where corridors. garden, rooms , restaurant, entrance, and reception area stair cases. breakfast was amazing food on offer was FAB lots of choices staff were very helpful and friendly.
can not think of anything that we didn't like.
Good breakfast but short of pastries. Very comfortable rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff.
The layout of the property and directional information. Scarcity of breakfast pastries.
Quite easy to find and sign in
Nothing really
Clean, spacious room with estuary view
Many steps
The staff were friendly. The scenary to the Straits beautiful. Loved the structure of the building

We had a meal in the restaurant and i have to say it was gorgeous. I would eat there anytime. The hotel was lovely but way to many stairs for me but I suffer with my legs other than all the stairs I woukd go back lovey stay
How clean it was and the food
good location , great breakfast
Location Organisation Cleanliness Staff Breakfast
The breakfast was lovely. The staff were great.
Notice to possible guests about the number of stairs involved to the bedrooms, especially with cases. Also, a printed diagram, when first arriving, of the layout of the building.
Breakfast was good although no alternative to dairy butter/ spread on show. Bar staff very friendly and helpful
More seating in rooms.
-Great accessible and very quite location -kind, understanding, professional staff -super clean -amazing view from our room, -great breakfast choices and delicious dinner options in dinner menu (I.e. we had chicken cats, beef steak, chicken burger and sea bream).

Joli cadre, excellente cuisine, super personel!
Pas de plainte
The staff was very helpful and nothing to much trouble
Did like the hill to walk up as have heart problem but other than that all was good
Location is very good and restaurant for dinner was particularly good.
I would say better signage around where the rooms are would be useful. Sure it is not just us that got confused.
The staff were helpful, the breakfast was fantastic, it was quite, facilities were very good. Could not fault it.
Difficulty in getting to the property
Breakfast was good all staff very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Erin on reception for being very helpful with information we asked her.
Dinner was excellent, a choice for each evening. The people serving the table were competent and friendly.
This is NOT a criticism, more of a minor(?) matter. The shower needed a little practice as the settings started (for me) with a shower of cold water. I guess it was a way of going from sleepiness to wakefulness
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. It was very clean.
It was like being back in a university dormitory, which is essentially what it used to be! It.was a lot of up and down stairs to get anywhere. Personally I did not like the piles of dirty linen and towels left in the corridors for lengths of time. I would say realistically it was a 3 star stay (not a 4 star).
Lovely hotel and staff, clean a big room with a beautiful view
Clean and good value. Evening meal was nice and plenty options for breakfast. Perfect location for uni visit.
It wasn’t the easiest to navigate around. Can’t be helped as layout of building.
The bed was huge. Very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely.
Had an electric vehicle. Difficult to charge at stay. Front desk was, not, not helpful but wasnt sure about where to charge. Was told to go to the uni but security said i needed a qr code and the guy at front desk just sorta shrugged his shoulders, which wasnt very helpful. Overall very nice otherwise
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in August. It was actually a pleasant surprise - the rooms were spacious, the on-site restaurant was very good, and the staff were always happy to help with navigating in Northern Wales. Overall, we liked it a lot.
According to their booklet, the hotel was last renovated in 2010. It is indeed somewhat worn out, but not to such an extent that it could cause any inconvenience.
Nice quiet hotel in a beautiful place. The room was space, quiet and clean. The staff was polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious as always. I stay in this hotel every year, it is my favourite place.
None
Charming staff. Good food. Room a bit poky but adequate. Great views from the garden.
Good food served in a room like a staff canteen with cloth napkins and sticky cheap veneer on the tables. Going up and down lifts and stairs all the time was exhausting. Supposed to be 4 star. Mainly felt like 2 star. Lovely garden with horrid cheap bench/table combinations. Uncomfortable and awkward to get in and out.
Great location as staging (15 minutes to Zip World and access to Anglesey). Good breakfast, staff very helpful. We booked large room with sofa. EV charging points on campus. Very relaxed with outdoor seating area. Also on site coffee shop with seating.
Car park gets full, luckily we were able to park overnight at the EV charger. Also smells bit musty (lol), but part of the charm of an old building
Excellent base. Value for money. Good breakfast.

Breakfast and evening meals was a good choice and quality
Would have been nice to have some draught beers. A bit of a walk to the town centre
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Good breakfast.
Nothing
Location and facilities
Bed was a bit too soft for us
Breakfast is very nice. Apart from the continental breakfast, it also provides with the fresh fruit. The room is also clean and comfortable.
It's not too far to go to and back from the city centre but needs climbing some stairs.
Very clean, spacious and lovely location. Breakfast was exceptional and evening meals were very good.
Nothing at all
Location, breakfast, staff
Bedroom too small for two people
Pratique, parking inclus.
Breakfast excellent. Dinner- quiet restaurant with excellent views over the Stfriats. Good menu choice. and all well served.
Location was very convenient to where I was working. The food was good. Staff was very friendly
It’s kind of a maze to figure out, but it was beautiful!
The location, the cleanliness and the helpfulness of staff
Facilities may need some update.
Nice spacious room, and a proper bath. Good breakfast.
Takes some navigating, but it is an old building.
The clean rooms
Room size was very small
Great breakfast buffet with really friendly staff. Comfortable simple room with a lovely view. A beautiful old building made into a hotel.
Everything !! Receptionist was very helpful when checking in. The room was so spacious ( I did pay more for this but well worth it ) bathroom was clean and lovely soft towels. Bed clean and comfortable. Evening meal was such good value for money and then sat outside in the gardens and the bar was close. Breakfast- there was so much to choose from. Really loved this place.
Nothing
Très bien situé, calme. Bon restaurant.
Friendly hotel with helpfull staff. Our room was a good size with comfy bed.The layout of the hotel was a little confusing at times.Breakfast was buffett and a good selection on offer.
Ruime, propere kamer. Verzorgd en uitgebreid ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel.
Lovely welcome staff. Good very nice.
Nice and clean, ample parking and lovely staff. Great breakfast too.
The bed was too firm and you thought from the photos you were staying in a grand building, so a bit disappointed by that.
The rooms are very dated and basic
Personal molt atent.
Exclusive bar and modern bathroom
Bar shut at 22:00 we had to leave with our drinks
Fabulous breakfast buffet with hot options and fruit. Room has a wonderful bathroom with great shower and lots of storage. The big windows open so you can regulate the temperature.
Great place to stay to explore Anglesey , we particularly enjoyed the breakfast , good value for money
Beautiful buildings in a great location in Bangor with lovely views out the back. We appreciated the simple, practical bedroom and en-suite and enjoyed great value full breakfasts and tasty evening meals.
There’s nothing to not like.
Easy check in/out.Friendly staff.
No thing major.
Very comfortable, well situated hotel. Staff very friendly and food available for breakfast and dinner.
Nice hotel in a beautiful and quiet place. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, clean and bright. The bed was really comfortable. The English breakfast was very good and tasty.
Pillows were too soft, so it will be nice to have 1-2 firmer pillows in the room.
Staff are always great, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is consistently good. Rooms always clean and well stocked with tea and coffee
Nothing
Great location. Friendly, clean, comfortable.
In my opinion its depends on your room location as it can be a little bit of a maze!
Regular visitors to the Centre and we were again not disappointed. As requested we had a room off the ground floor. The breakfast was amazing and the staff are still friendly, professional and caring. We have been using here as a base for visiting family for the last 4 years. Its standards have remained high. It never disappoints. Thank you all
Excellent breakfast with a great choice of hot and cold buffet items, beautiful fresh fruit display and very pleasant staff. Room was comfy, fresh and clean. Location was perfect, close enough to the city centre but quiet. Lovely walk down to the pier and the view from the garden was stunning!
