good breakfast
not great rates for wedding guests
Lovely clean rooms. Was upgraded and also opted to have breakfast in the bedroom.
No refrigerator in our room. Booked through booking.com but they charged me again during check in. When we realised that two payments were pending the lady at reception refunded it back to car.
It was extremely comfortable and the staff were amazing. I informed them it was my wife's birthday.and they went above and beyond to make the day feel special. Such a lovely relaxing stay around Bangor.
Clean, great staff had a great sleep
Air conditioning would be a welcomed addition as the room was very warm.
Staff were fantastic Rooms were so comfy Beautiful hotel
Nothing
Cannot praise this hotel/wedding venue highly enough, the food, accommodation, surroundings etc are first class. The bedrooms and public areas are very well appointed and extremely comfortable, staff were pleasant, friendly and happy to oblige with any request, special mention to Maggie on reception who was very helpful from our initial booking to check out!
The hotel is in a good location and the grounds are charming . The hotel interior is very chic and the Coq and bull restaurant is stunning . The food is very good .the staff are all friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying there and we will be back again soon!
There is absolutely nothing to dislike !
We were at the hotel for a family wedding and everything was perfect. Meal was lovely and rooms for reception were beautiful. We had a lovely stay, the room was very comfortable and bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have experienced. Great selection for breakfast.
We chose this hotel immediately after a wedding tour hosted by Gia. Experienced and friendly staff combined with modern, well laid out and spotless grounds made this an easy choice. All subsequent questions and queries were responded to quickly and the follow up meetings with Ian were just fantastic. This gentleman has so much knowledge and nothing escapes his oversight. The accommodation was perfect, reservation staff super friendly, and the food was top class. All the wedding vendors seemed to blend in and work hand in hand with the venue staff. Well done Ian , Gia and the events team.
VERY GOOD
The overall experience at Clandeboye Lodge was excellent. The warm atmosphere and ambience was noticeable upon entering the lobby. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and very welcoming. Staff were extremely friendly and Ryan looked after us well in the restaurant. Here, the food was of a very high quality as was the wine recommended by Ryan. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again.
We were at the hotel for a wedding - could not fault anything about our stay - we stayed two nights - ate in the Coq and Bull on the Friday - meal was fantastic and good value, lovely staff. Breakfast was excellent and as a wedding venue it ticked every box - highly recommend it.
Attended a family wedding and was very impressed with everything, from the bedroom which was spotless and a very comfy bed to our wedding meal and service which was five star! Food was unreal and plenty of it! Great selection at breakfast also. Highly recommend for both family/couple stays and would definitely recommend for a wedding!
Always a lovely hotel to stay in. Lovely setting. Hotel main areas are full of ambience and relaxing and great for a glass of something nice. Bedrooms are luxurious and comfy. Room service was a treat. Never fails in its facilities and staff. Food is excellent., staff are so lovely.
An excellent stay visiting family with comfortable accommodation and delicious food- thank you!
Very kind and thoughtful management of our son's wedding reception.
Staff are friendly and helpful . Food is wholesome and portions are generous . Ambience is welcoming . Garden room is beautiful with lots of light and garden view Weddings most days so a good vibe with splendid gardens
Angela was fabulous from making my initial enquiry by phone to arrival. My parents have some mobility issues and were allocated a perfect room - a wedding suite!! My room was superb - clean, perfectly appointed. We enjoyed a delicious meal with some friends - steak was delicious. Would recommend
It was our first time back for a stay since we were married 10 years ago to the day. We were greeted so warmly on arrival. The personal touches and note in our room from staff was incredibly thoughtful. The room was immaculate and just they way we remembered it, an amazing throwback for us. Dinner was absolutely perfect for both food and atmosphere and the service couldnt have been any better. We loved every second off our stay and didn't want it to end. A truly wonderful experience and we absolutely recommend it to everyone. Thank you!
Had a lovely stay with my husband to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Reception staff were very warm and welcoming. We stayed in the dressing room suite which was a nice treat. Beautifully decorated and wonderful attention to detail from the dual 55” TV’s, books, accessories and voya hair, body and hand products. It felt so homely. Our room had a balcony, but unfortunately we didn’t use it as it had been raining prior to our arrival and the seat cushions were soaking. Food in the beautiful garden room restaurant was divine, service very attentive and the cocktails were excellent too. A fabulous stay and we look forward to returning soon. The only downside as a resident is that there isn’t what you would call a cosy residents bar. There are small seating areas dotted between the two dining areas and a sectioned off seating area near a window but you feel a bit disconnected from the bar itself. All very cosy but if you were with a lively gathering, I think you would feel very aware of your noise levels.
Fabulous staff and lovely restaurant and the food was exceptional. Very comfortable room. We enjoyed talking to Ryan and Shea about the menu and Shea is a font of knowledge when it comes to wine! Loved our stay with you.
Comfortable and very relaxing stay. We were well looked after and the staff were attentive and friendly. One suggestion would be a seat beside the lift for those with mobility issues who are waiting for it to come.
Room was excellent, staff were super friendly and the restaurant evening food was amazing
Only complaint was they wouldn’t cook me dippy boiled eggs!
friendly and helpful staf....food was good as well....
Weather was amazing i wanted to eat at table outside...Told me I couldn't order food to eat outside......dont get it...not staff fault....Management ruling i think ....
On the occasions we have stayed we seem to have booked with Maggie. She is absolutely brilliant. So helpful and a great ambassador for the hotel. The room was lovely, very clean and the restaurant was very good too.
I came with my son to my granddaughter’s wedding. The whole stay was great and the hotel service was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the wedding venue was beautiful. I would recommend the hotel to anybody coming over from England and Steven and I went down to Bangor which was nice. Thank you for everything. Carole Wickes
The surroundings are beautiful

We visited Clandeboye Lodge Hotel recently for my husband's 40th trip away. The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant garden fab and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and I highly recommend this hotel. It is also a beautiful wedding venue. Thanks to all invovled who made our stay so lovely.
Super comfy bed...great shower..could open windows for fresh air...outstanding food and service
Our second visit to the hotel along with my sister and aunt. We enjoyed it so much we Brought our elderly mums along . It was one of your summer deals which we thought was excellent value for money which included an evening meal, a bottle of wine per room and a room upgrade. Hopefully we will be back at some point.
Attended midweek for a family wedding. Beautiful venue, exceptionally clean. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Great food. Lovely cocktails from the main bar. Good room size for a family of four that was well equipped with iron, fan et . Lovely breakfast, good options. All of us had an amazing time. A brilliant stay
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. From our very first viewing right through to our wedding day, the entire team were warm, professional, and incredibly supportive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. It was also fantastic to be able to stay the night before, with accommodation available for our guests, and a lovely breakfast the next morning. Having the ceremony on site was beautiful and made everything so easy—it really is a great all-in-one wedding package. The staff were amazing throughout the day—making sure we always had a drink, keeping us updated on what was happening next, even helping with my dress when needed. They were friendly, reassuring, and had a great sense of humour, which really helped put us at ease and allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. The transitions between each part of the day were seamless, and everything was organised exactly as promised. We had complete trust in the team, from the set-up before guests arrived to the clear-up afterwards. They were honest, kind, and incredibly reliable throughout the whole process. The food was sensational and there was plenty of it, and the drinks flowed all day. We’ve had so many compliments from our guests about the quality of both the food and the service. Thank you to everyone for making our wedding day so special. We wouldn’t change a thing and will be recommending you to anyone planning to get married!
Disappointing meal and circumstances, visit to check it out, for reference, - “secret shopper style”! My partner indicated her choice of salmon was ok but modest, my fish and chips most underwhelming. The few chips, a basic ingredient, way overcooked and served in a container which caused them to go instantly soggy. The portion of fish a disgrace, about a third portion of my previous occasion, thankfully the batter coating was acceptable in taste and fineness. I’m aware, as are lots of ingredients, expensive, fish in particular! A 11.5 % Pinot at £30 excessive, a glass £12! Haven’t been at the lodge for sometime and don’t understand some of the hype I’ve heard, - at times, not 4 star let alone 5 for food in my opinion. Service was ok and efficient. The restaurant appeared very busy with a mix of patrons. The new garden room noisy and a lot of the basic wooden chairs, one of which I endured, extremely uncomfortable, couldn’t wait to find a sofa in the lobby area. Wouldn’t be my personal future choice. The gardens and surrounding landscape and the overall venue are indeed very well kept and presented, so well done, - but the quality of food and value for top end pricing is in “my view” what matters, was not delivered on this visit and a let down ….departing with elements of hunger remaining! We didn’t complain during service, but offered observation and comments to the restaurant management on paying the top end [5 star? ] bill of £86 including tip. We are booked to potentially visit again with friends from the mainland shortly with high expectations! The standards would significantly need to improve where relevant for my opinion to change or be convinced that those expectations “ will be met”! …..seems the mixed reviews I’ve continued to hear recently are unfortunately appropriate!
We attended this hotel for our daughter’s wedding & it was fantastic from the start of planning, preparations to the actual wedding day. The day was fab & ran like clockwork which is a credit to all the staff involved.- great teamwork everyone. The food, service & attention to detail were amazing. Our overnight stay was so comfortable & a great breakfast choice to add the finishing touch. Be proud of the service you provide as we received very positive feedback from our wedding quests. I would fully recommend this hotel for any function. Well done Clandeboye Lodge Hotel. Wishing you all continued success
Excellent stay, comfortable and quiet, staff all very helpful and attentive. Just one niggle about the room: please do consider installing in it a small safe for valuables, an American guest I spoke to during my stay also commented on this.
Gorgeous rooms, very clean and beautifully presented. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious- would definitely recommend a stay here.
We enjoyed our friend's wedding at this venue. The venue was lovely. Beautiful venue for a wedding and high end bedrooms. The grounds and the extras added to its charm. Deff recommend staying.
I was at a wedding. The soup was lovely, main course was woeful, dessert okay. Numerous guests including myself asked for the heating to be put on but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Considering it was December and there was a visible frost on the ground I don't think it was asking too much. I sat with my coat wrapped around my legs during the meal, some people had scarves on. The toilet area was so cold that I couldn't even pee!! I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything like it. With the prices they charge and boast to be a 4 star hotel I am sure they could well afford to heat place. The heating was etheventually switched on after 8pm, by this stage I had my coat on and was heading home. This was my first and most probably my last visit to the Clandeboye Lodge.
From Reception to breakfast the next day the service was excellent . We got access to our room in advance of the arrival date , the room was “standard” in name but excellent size , decor and facilities ! Woke up and were really pleased with both the breakfast , surroundings and staff.
Staff were absolute lovely people went way over & beyond in every aspect. The hotel itself is beautiful, well run, & very clean. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough, first class. Will definitely be back again.
Cant say there was one thing my & my partner didn't like.
Quality and value of food. Separate wedding building from the hotel. The manicured garden, trees and shrubs were excellent.
No access to walks from the hotel or some sort of gym facility. Lack of hand rail to assist with bath access.
Wonderful hotel, we stayed 2 nights as it was my son’s wedding venue. The moment we walked in the staff could not do enough for you, friendly, polite. We arrived very early in the morning on the overnight ferry, the receptionist let us hang wedding outfits, Grooms men suits etc in an area and then put them in our room ready for us, sorry I cannot remember your name. Rooms were immaculate well done housekeeping staff, not an easy job I know. The wedding venue was amazing, Marvin looked after the bride and groom through out the ceremony and into the night. He was brilliant very personable. Food is amazing both in the restaurant and wedding food, portions were very generous again staff were very quick to get the food out and to clear away. On the whole I cannot recommend this venue enough either for a stay or a wedding venue. Management you have some amazing staff well done to all of you I wish you continued success.
We had a fabulous stay Food staff room location everything was first class cant wait to stay again
Fabulous Hotel lovely friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room with all you could need, beautiful food and tasty breakfast and a great location couldn't fault it we cant wait to stay again first class
We had our wedding at Clandeboye Lodge mid June 2026 and it was fantastic from start to finish! Our venue tour was hosted by the amazing Gia. The venue sells itself, but Gia’s knowledge, expertise and effortless enthusiasm is what truly led us to picking Clandeboye Lodge for our wedding. Throughout the planning process, we were guided by the fantastic Ian and Lorraine who perfected everything for us! Nothing was too much hassle and any requests we had were met with ease. The day itself was fantastic and ran so smoothly thanks to all of the staff, but especially our amazing MC Bradley. The ceremony space is spectacular, the gardens are stunning for photographs and the reception spaces are beautiful. The food was also fantastic, and has been a real talking point for our guests! We cannot thank the team enough for all of their hard work in making our day so special! If you are looking for a first class wedding venue, look no further.
Had our dad's birthday meal here in the new Garden room, everything was excellent. The setting is beautiful, the new landscaping is gorgeous, the staff are super polite and professional and the food was top notch. A really lovely outing all round, highly recommend a visit
The food was good, the breakfast was good as well, especially the local yoghurt. Staff was friendly
The room had no AC and no possibility to open the windows . Also there is a strong smell of manure which was not ideal
The meal at the wedding reception was very good however the downside of the visit was the cooked breakfast the next morning. Sausages could have been cooked a little more, the soda and potato bread did not taste like NI soda or potato bread. Sorry
The cleanliness of the rooms was great and the beds very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent service throughout my stay. The food at breakfast and in The Coq & Bull for dinner was amazing. The room was modern and very comfortable with exceptional amenities . The grounds also were very well maintained
We were there for our daughter’s wedding & the whole day was superb ! Excellent service there when needed but not over bearing, food excellent & a special mention to manager apologies I can’t mind his name was so good!
Thank you for what was an absolutely outstanding wedding day. Everything was perfect from the moment we first visited and made our booking, the contact throughout especially the continuity it didn’t matter who you chatted to / emailed they always knew the answer, all the staff from the people who dressed the room, Bradley our MC, the food (oh my goodness the food!) and everyone we encountered throughout the day were simply fantastic. The collective service and attention of everyone made it truly a day we will never forget. If you want a truly outstanding wedding experience go to Clandeboye Lodge
The hotel is beutiful, super clean and has everything you need. The staff os very pleasant. I liked how they had apples in the room and the bath bubbles - fab idea!
Nothing. Everything was great

Great stay at the Clandeboye Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent. I stayed for three nights and had a very enjoyable experience throughout. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again.
breakfast and dinner excellent; room very comfortable; all good. .
nothing really
Before booking our wedding here we sat down with Lorraine and discussed what was available to us. Lorraine had asked about potential dates and we had said about the first week in November 2027, as we got engaged on the 6th November. We were leaning more towards the 8th November as it was cheaper for a weekday wedding. However, Lorraine had said the 7th November (Sunday) is the same price as a weekday wedding, and that we could book out the Garden Room on the 6th November for a private anniversary dinner with some of our guests as well as a farewell breakfast on the 8th November. We really loved this idea and it became a huge part of us choosing our wedding date and having our wedding at this venue. Not long after paying the deposit, I spoke to the restaurant manger to begin booking the Garden Room on the 6th and 8th November. She told me this was her first time hearing about this and that the Garden Room cannot be booked on a weekend. I emailed the wedding team to inform them of this (thinking it was a simple fix) for them to confirm that the Garden Room cannot be booked on those dates despite Lorraine assuring us this could be done. There was a lot of back and forth, and a very clear lack of accountability from the venues side. Even though we were going to pay thousands to have our wedding at this venue, they stated it wouldn’t be “cost effective” to book that room out to us. Their alternatives were unhelpful and didn’t reflect the idea that was originally sold to us. One option was to book the room out for about an hour, pay a non-refundable £400 booking fee, and pay for all the meals on one card. This was completely different to what Lorraine had presented us with. I moved on from this as there was no resolution and I didn’t want this to affect our relationship with our venue. I spoke to Mia in March to confirm things in the contract regarding confetti and food. She confirmed indoor confetti was allowed and that we could provide our own food, as well as organise external catering. I then spent weeks researching pizza trucks for our late night food, and emailed the wedding team our plans. I was told that only the hotel provides all food/drink. At this stage, I was deeply frustrated that this was the second time I was assured I could do something, and then, after spending so much time and effort organising it, I’m being told I’m not allowed. My email was ignored, so I called and spoke to Mia who remembered informing me I could arrange for external catering. However, she argued that she didn’t say I could have a pizza truck - this was the problem, there was a lack of communication on their end. I advised Mia she made it very clear I could have external caterers brought it - there was no mention of types of catering I wasn’t allowed, and if there was, it should have been communicated to me in the first instance. I asked Mia what the difference was between us having a pizza truck compared to an ice cream truck - she stated “well how many people do you know that have had vomiting and diarrhoea after eating pizza compared to ice cream?”. This was probably the most bizarre justification for refusing us a specific type of catering. I genuinely wanted to come to a resolution and work through this, but Mia informed me that she had spoke to the owner who decided that he would give our money back. So instead of working things out, they decided to cancel our wedding and cast us aside, despite them causing the problems a few weeks after we signed a contract. I’m not one for leaving negative reviews, but my short experience with the Clandeboye has caused me significant stress and heartbreak. We never thought we would encounter such issues when planning for such a special time in our lives. We’re relieved we’ve seen this side of Clandeboye early on, as I couldn’t imagine how bad they would be a year down the line.
Our first time staying here and I hope it will not be the last. A lovely cosy atmosphere in a rural setting. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and professional. Our meal was of an equally high standard, as was the wine selection. The bedroom was also vert well appointed and comfortable. All in all, a great experience.
I probably wouldn't stay here again for the money. It was expensive for a relatively small and hot room. However, it was spotlessly clean, the staff were charming and the food good. The location was peaceful, even though I was woken up several times by doors banging in the corridor.
A lovely relaxed atmosphere. Tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff are very nice.
Nothing
We had a great stay at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel, the food was exceptional and the room had everything we needed and was very clean & tidy . The staff were very helpful and pleasant .I would highly recommend..
Stayed for 2 nights before and after a wedding. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and were professional at all times. Also ate in the garden room, surroundings were lovely and meal was fab. Wedding was a great success and would recommend this place for a wedding also
Lovely welcome at Reception when we arrived and a good sized, clean and comfortable room. Service throughout could not be faulted and the restaurant was excellent with our lovely dinner being perfectly cooked and presented. Would definitely return in the future.
A good value deal for overnight with bed, breakfast and dinner a 2 glasses of Prosecco. The welcome from the ladies at reception was warm and professional and we were promptly directed to the Dressing Room Suite. This was a spacious suite with ground floor terrace. Given the sun was out it was lovely to have this outdoor space. The suite was well furnished, the bathroom large and exceptionally clean. A nice little touch too, as this was a birthday treat, a card and some chocolates in the room. Dinner in The Garden Room was OK. We thought the food was a little bit tasteless although our desserts were better. The service was friendly but a little bit patchy during our meal. After a good nights sleep we headed for breakfast. I’m afraid this was disappointing - as a vegetarian- I ordered potato and soda bread, mushrooms and tomatoes. A large plate arrived with bread, one mushroom and half a tomato. It looked rather meagre on the large plate. All it needed was a few more mushrooms and maybe even a whole tomato! The meat eater got a more substantial offer. Check out was smooth and efficient.
Beautiful property and lovely rooms! Clean tidy modern and comfortable
My partner and I stayed here in January for our anniversary and was so impressed, we stayed again on Valentines night. Another 5 star stay! We just cannot fault this hotel at all. We opted for the "Time Together" package deal which consists of 1 night's B&B, 3-course a la carte dinner, a bottle of prosecco, espresso martinis and salted caramel brownies. Cannot recommend this highly enough and well worth it if you ask me! Service was second to none, as always, and we were well looked after by the lovely Andrea. We asked if we could bring our desserts and martinis up to our room which wasn't a problem. Our room again was immaculate, lovely and spacious with a comfy bed and pillows and.such an amazing powerful shower. It had everything we needed...coffee machine, robes, slippers, safe, iron etc. I requested for our breakfast to be brought up to our room the following morning along with a later check out and again, Janet was very accommodating and this was no proble whatsoever .This is by far our favourite hotel we've stayed at a few! Can't wait to return to check out their outdoor seating area. Thank you to all the staff involved who looked after us during our stay. We look forward to our next visit! .
The hotel felt very cosy and warm and the staff were great.
There was the occasional sweet smell in the air of the next door dairy farm but it was not bad.
We had our wedding at Clandeboye Lodge on 24 April 2026 and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. From our very first show-around in December right through to the big day, the Events Team of Ian, Gia, Lorraine and Mai were absolutely fantastic. There was always someone available to answer questions, whether by phone or email, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The whole planning process was smooth and completely stress-free, which made such a difference. On the day itself, everything was flawless. We held our ceremony in the Blackwood Suite, enjoyed the afternoon in the Sheridan Suite and then celebrated into the evening in the Clandeboye Suite — each space looked incredible and was perfectly set up. The staff were exceptional throughout. A special mention to Graham, who kept us informed all day and to Marvin, who ensured everything ran seamlessly into the evening. Their attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. Our guests had an amazing time — many were visiting Clandeboye Lodge for the first time and were hugely impressed. We’ve had so many compliments about the food, particularly the beef, which was absolutely perfect. The bedrooms were excellent, the dressing room was ideal for getting ready and the ultra-lux suite was just incredible, such a special touch to end the day. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping to deliver the perfect wedding. We couldn’t recommend Clandeboye Lodge highly enough. Alex & Mark
Stayed for a family wedding. Room was lovely and food outstanding. Top marks
Lovely veggie breakfast and restaurant food was lovely too. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was a great size, large comfy bed and very clean. Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area.
Not much you could do better. Only suggestion I would have would be to have maybe one more veggie option on the restaurant menu. But to be honest the food I have was delicious.
A wonderful venue!! The rooms were of a high standard the facilities were perfect the setting beautiful the staff were amazing especially Angela she was so helpful and friendly. The tables were set just as my daughter wanted. During g the run up to the wedding the staff dealing g with the wedding couldn't do enough. The whole process was made easy and the price was reasonable.

Warm welcome, peaceful and comfortable. Staff very attentive.
All very positive
Peaceful, restful amazing rooms and food was excellent The wedding organisers were brilliant And the wedding reception was fantastic 🥰🥰would stay again Next time we are in the area. Heavenly Stay
A really professionally run hotel with great food with a truly relaxing vibe, helpful staff. I've stayed in some really posh hotels around the world and so appreciate when they get it spot on. It is also the first time I've looked out a bedroom window to see a procession of cows wondering down the adjacent field.
reception greeting poor booking , com price match treatment shocking No reply to e mail customer service very poor Bathroom safety a concern no hand rails to get in and out of shower over a deep bath
We recently had a very pleasant stay in the Clandeboye. The room was lovely and the meals were superb. Just one think I would like to mention. We were in Room 101. The room was fine, but the ensuite was not. For my wife, who has mobility issues, the toilet was far too low, and there was only one handle to assist in standing up from the toilet. Also, there was no seat in the shower, so she could not have one over the there days of our visit. Other than that it was fine. Hope you don't mind me mentioning this.
NB> We didn't stay at the hotel, but simply booked a breakfast slot the previous day, in the hotel's Coq & Bull restaurant. I treated myself and good friend to the breakfast. The service from Tukta was very efficient and friendly🤗 but she did seem to be on her own a lot; working very hard. We opted for a combined 'continental' and cooked breakfast. The former was a modest offering, the latter tasty - but could have been a bit bigger. Also, the bowls and cups were on the small side, unlike the price (£18.95 per person)!
My daughter held her wedding reception at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel on Saturday 2nd May and can I say the Hotel Management and staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming and professional in making the whole day a truly magical experience. From the moment the bridal party, guests and family arrived at the venue, we were all treated like VIP's. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our wedding venue and surrounding grounds were immaculate and all of our invited guests had an amazing day. The Hotel's wedding host for the day ensured that my daughter's special day ran smoothly without a single hitch and made this, and I quote the bride and groom "the best day of their life". What more could proud parents have asked for. The wedding meal was absolutely delicious and the friendly staff from management to waitress, from receptionist to bar staff made this a special day to remember ever. Guests danced until the wee small hours and then retired to the amazing and relaxation of the bedrooms. Thank you Cladeboye Lodge Hotel for giving each and everyone of us such a memorable day. This has to be the "best" wedding venue in Ireland.
What an incredible wedding venue. Attended the wedding on 01/5/26. Everything was perfect. Food was exceptional and staff were definitely some of the best people you could meet. Big thanks to Angela on the reception desk, nothing was a problem to her and was always up for a laugh and bit of craic. She is a true gem and asset to the hotel. Marvin during the wedding was amazing, great chats and craic and he would have bent over backwards for any of us, pity he was on duty as we would’ve loved to have given him a pint and join in on the celebrations . Thanks so much for a great few days. Can’t wait to go back.
We were fortunate to have our wedding at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel and I have to say from start to finish it was absolutely perfect. I cant praise Graham, Bradley and the whole wedding team enough! They are all amazing and had us feel so much at ease on our special day. We wanted for nothing, they had everything sorted for us. We were finding our audio guestbook difficult to set up as we misplaced the instructions and Graham and Bradley tried refously, even rang the vender and thanks to their help we eventually got it working! From the time we booked our wedding, the wedding team and the hotel team were in contact with us making sure we had everything we needed. It was an amazing day, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous food just all round amazing 👏. Thank you Clandeboye Lodge Hotel for the best day ever!!!
Great food and lovely staff. We were upgraded for free for our Anniversary which was really nice of them. Made the stay even more special.Had a three course meal in the restaurant which was excellent.
Lovely breakfast and great to have hot food freshly cooked and a cafetière of coffee. Excellent evening meal in the Garden Room.
From start to finish the Clandeboye Lodge was a fantastic venue for our wedding. We loved the convenience of having one venue for our ceremony, reception, photos and overnight stay. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with fabulous locations around the grounds for photographs. The food was some of the best I've ever had at a wedding, the feedback from our guests was all so positive. The whole day ran perfectly due to the staff - from the time of booking the events team answered all my many questions via email and on the day Graham our MC guided us every step of the way. It was honestly the best day and I would thoroughly recommend it as a wedding venue to others.
As always we were made to feel at home and the service from all the staff was both excellent and friendly. The new restaurant in the conservatory was a perfect environment to both eat and talk. Well done all.
Comfortable facilities good food
Little bit out of Bangor but that peaceful as well
I was staying overnight for a family wedding. Due to having coeliac disease I needed a gluten free breakfast. Unfortunately, this was disappointing as the only cooked breakfast choice on the menu that didn't attract a supplement was the fry. They had no gluten free sausages and there wasn't much else on the plate. The two slices of gluten free toast which half filled the plate were like cardboard. I did feedback to the restaurant manager and receptionist how the experience for someone with coeliac disease could be improved. This is probably one of the worst hotel breakfasts that I have had.
A very warm welcome upon arrival. Cases taken to room without any issues. Rooms are top class with good heating. Package included Dinner for one evening and the food /ambience/service was Top Class. The Venue itself is a hidden gem - a popular gem but well off the beaten track.
Really friendly helpful staff!!
Nothing
Arrived late after delayed ferry. The hotel staff were great very welcoming . Nothing was a bother even at a late hour. Brrakfast was excellent and the bedroom.sumptious.
Fantastic helpful staff, beautiful room with lots of little touches like fresh fruit and bottled water which just enhanced the experience. Housekeeping was superb, and again so friendly and attentive. Would definitely book this hotel again
We recently enjoyed yet another fantastic break at the exceeding well located Clandeboye Lodge Hotel. As always, the staff provide amazing professional, attentive and friendly service, each going out of their way to provide guest satisfaction. The addition of the new Garden Room provides welcome comfortable space for dining. We will look forward to seeing the landscaping work completed when we next stay.
We recently stayed at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel and had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived. Our room was cosy, comfortable, and a lovely place to unwind. If we were to make one small suggestion, it would be the addition of voiles or blinds on the windows, and perhaps a small fridge for convenience. Otherwise, the room was excellent. We were extremely excited about the restaurant menu and couldn’t decide which starters to choose for our evening meal, so we visited the restaurant for lunch to sample a few. This turned out to be a great decision, especially as we enjoyed them with the complimentary glass of Prosecco included in our package. When booking our dinner reservation, we requested our favourite table, and the staff kindly arranged this for us. The only improvement we would suggest is adding small lampshades to the table lamp for a softer ambience. That said, the meal itself was exceptional — one of the best we’ve had in a hotel — and the service exceeded that of many places we’ve stayed. All bar and restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. In particular, we would like to acknowledge our server, Andrea. It will come as no surprise to the hotel that her professionalism, customer interaction, and attention to detail are second to none. She truly elevated our dining experience. Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive. We ordered a cooked breakfast, which did not disappoint and set us up perfectly for the day. Overall, our stay was memorable for all the right reasons, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent: personable: Kind & compassionate (especially to a Stroke patient)! Wonderful food & service! Gardens & architecture exquisite! Price reasonable! Well-staffed. Hygienic and cleanliness — of a high standard. Excellent car park: Commendably lit at night! Highly recommend!!
Great staff. Very comfy bed. Very convenient location for visiting friends and beauty spots. Excellent breakfasts. Good dinners.
Time between ordering dinners and getting them.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just wish we had longer ! The hotel is beautifully furnished the bedroom very comfortable and the staff really friendly. We ate in the Garden Room which has only recently opened. There was a great atmosphere in the room and again staff service first class. The food lived up to the rest of the hotel and steaks were fantastic. Couldn’t fault it - would love to go back.
We attended an event recently at the Clandeboye, and I was helping out with some of the organising. I was very impressed with this beautiful venue, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them during setup and the entire event. The function rooms and the guest rooms are all gorgeous, and the food was also incredible. Highly recommend.
From the check in until the checkout my friend and I were blown away by every single moment of our overnight stay. We both agreed there was not one single thing we could find fault with. We were made to feel welcome by every member of staff we spoke to. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. Beds were so comfortable and the bathroom products felt luxurious. We will be looking forward to our next stay.
Sehr schönes Gebäude mit sehr schönem Zimmer, sehr gutes Frühstück, sehr gutes Abendessen. Ruhige Lage, 15 min mit dem Auto ins Zentrum von Belfast
