Ik kreeg bij de receptie niet helemaal een welkomsgevoel. Nogmaals, dit zal aan mij gelegen hebben, want ik zag er niet uit (modder, nat, vieze fiets etc)

Everything seemed to be charged as an extra - we couldn't have a glass of tap water with our meal, everything in the room seemed expensive - three or four times retail cost even for a packet of crisps!

la chambre qui nous était attribuée était très exigu et bruyante car nous étions juste à coté du monte charge du personnel, insonorisation médiocre. On voit que la chambre n'est pas de première jeunesse. Nous aurions aimé bénéficier du restaurant de l'hôtel et n'avons pas pu car plus de place, faudrait il prioriser les personnes logeant au château.

The chateau is undergoing renovations (August 2026), which mean noise and some disruption, including a powercut in the morning. I tried to use the EV charger. However, this has been moved, and is not on the map, and the hotel staff had no clue about it. It did happen to work with the Aral Pulse card, but charged super high rates for a slow (AC) charge. The chateau is a bit isolated and the restaurant is expensive for a 3 course fixed meal. Breakfast was also super expensive, and only worth it if you can eat for the day.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Exceptional hotel set in wonderful grounds. We arrived late due to a breakdown and so missed our planned dinner reservation. Although the restaurant was fully booked, the staff found a way to get us a table and made us feel super welcome. Breakfast following morning was the best of our trip across Europe and highly recommended.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Schlosshotel. Umgebung sehr gediegen, luxuriös. Sehr ruhig nachts, wenn die Bauarbeiter aufgehört hatten...😉 Es wird gerade viel renoviert dort. Daher sind auch leider einige Bereiche nicht zugänglich. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön.
Bauarbeiten auf dem Vorplatz waren etwas störend manchmal. Frühstück zu teuer. Aber Namur ist generell recht teuer im europäischen Vergleich (wir kamen gerade aus Paris, dort war tatsächlich alles günstiger...)

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Il castello è molto affascinante, sulla collina, in mezzo alla natura. Se si vuole andare in città, oltre ovviamente a auto e taxi, si può prendere la funicolare, che è vicino. C'è anche una fermata di autobus. Per chi come noi cammina volentieri, è possibile andare a piedi. Si può fare la strada normale (circa 30 min) o sentieri (circa 20-25 min). Il tragitto è molto piacevole, consente di godere del verde ma anche di vedere delle bellissime ville antiche e più moderne. La stanza è molto spaziosa, il letto grande e piuttosto comodo. Anche il bagno è grande. È presente una cassaforte. Il personale molto cortese.

Het is een 'leerlingen' setting, daar lag de nadruk m.i. op. Er waren aan de buitenlant veel restauratiewerkzaamheden.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026De ligging van het kasteel is ontzettend mooi en het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was ook erg mooi en groot. Het diner is een echte aanrader geweldig en heerlijk.
1 minpuntje is de prijs van het ontbijt 24 euro pp voor wat beleg en eieren en wat fruit is wat aan de hoge kant prijswijs zou 18 euro redelijk in prijs zijn.

Le lit double n’est en fait que deux lit une place côte à côte. Le Check out a 11h est trop tôt pour un 4 étoiles. Les bornes de recharge des voitures électriques sont bien plus chère que la moyenne ( environ 2 fois le prix d’une recharge classique) Pas de téléphone dans la chambre pour joindre l’accueil

El jadin de olores que hay dentro del recinto no està tan bien cuidado como seria deseable, una lástima porque és una maravilla. También faltan algunos letreros birrados en algunas plantas aromàticas. Por otro lado estaba todo el exterior en obras, lo que afea el entorno y no permite fisfrutar plrnamente del espacio exterior. Para llegar fué una locura. Los autobuses que van a la ciudad desde el "Puente de Francia" no estàn bien señalizados, los conductores no te indican bien. Llegué andando con las maletas, pero no sabía ni que camino tomar. Todo està pensadonpara gente que sube en coche. Bastante desesperante. Es recomendable que si no tiene coche haga todos los trayectos para subir al castillo desde las paradas de bus que hay en la puerta principal de la estación de tren.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Tolles Anwesen mit Park, wirkt hochherrschaftlich und macht großen Eindruck. Ist natürlich auch ein schönes Fotomotiv. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze am Hotel, das ist sehr praktisch.
Für ein Hotel dieses Gepräges war das Frühstück eher enttäuschend, sowohl in punkto Qualität als auch Quantität. Einziger Pluspunkt in dieser Kategorie: Angestellte des Hotels braten den Gästen auf Wunsch ein frisches Omelett - so etwas wertet das Frühstück natürlich auf. Ansonsten eher maue Auswahl und lieblos. Das Hotel präsentiert sich nach außen hin prachtvoll, aber innen sieht man, dass es in die Jahre gekommen ist und seine besten Zeiten schon hinter sich hat. Das Personal ist großenteils in der Ausbildung (es gibt dort einen Ausbildungsbetrieb), da drückt man als Gast schon mal ein Auge zu, wenn's etwas unrund läuft. Auch die Zimmerausstattung und das Bad ist nicht gerade die Neueste. Gut, das muss es nicht immer sein, aber bei einem Vier-Sterne-Hotel wundert man sich dann doch.

Er werd gewerkt aan het parkeerterrein voor de entree. Dat maakte de entree erg rommelig. Ongezellige bar. Het interieur van het gehele hotel oogt verouderd. Krakend bed!

-veel renovatiewerken op het domein en aan de attracties van de Citadelle -onmogelijk om snachts te voet terug te keren van centrum naar de chateau: trappen en paden zijn s avonds afgesloten, heel donker -hotel is wat verouderd en mist wat klasse en sfeer van een kasteel -3 weken voor mijn verblijf was het al niet meer mogelijk om het hotelrestaurant te boeken (volzet, klanten krijgen geen voorrang)

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026De badkamer was netjes,misschien was die wel aan vernieuwing toe,gezien kranen en douche in bad. Het ontbijt was voorzien van heel veel lekkers,ruime keuze en vers. Daar kon iedereen zijn buikje meer dan vol eten!! Het personeel was heel attent en vriendelijk.
Een minpuntje was het feit dat het rond het kasteel aan de hoofdingang werken waren.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Kaunis hotelli rauhallisella paikalla metsäisen kukkulan laella.Hyvä paikka pysähtyä yöksi ja jatkaa aamulla taas matkaa. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja hotellin viestintä etukäteen oli hyvää. Jäi tunne, että asiakkaasta huolehditaan ja yöpyminen tehdään mahdollisimman miellyttäväksi.
Pysäköintipaikan löytäminen oli illalla hankalaa kun ravintola-asiakkaat olivat täyttäneet kaikki paikat. Huoneen kosketusnäytöllisten ja teknisten valoratkaisujen kanssa oli turhaa pohdiskeltavaa. Simppelit on/off katkaisijat ovat omaan mieleen. Nyt huoneen valaistus oli jo joko todella kirkasta, melkein pimeää tai ihan punaista. Sänky oli upottavan pehmeä. Ilmastointi oli hieman äänekäs.

Bedroom was very much in need of a refresh. Although some staff were excellent, others were totally incompetent and looked bored and unengaged! Bartender had never heard of Aperol Spritz, and even struggled when I said that my wife would settle for vin rouge! Need to check bill carefully as our bar bill appeared on the meal ticket but some of it had been double charged on the bar ticket.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026De kamers waren erg schoon en comfortabel. Airco werkt goed en er is keuze uit twee soorten hoofdkussens. Verder is het een kwestie van smaak. Het oogt klassiek. Je kan de auto/motor gratis op het eigen terrein parkeren. Het hotel is groen gelegen en heeft een goed onderhouden tuin. Bij de receptie zijn we correct te woord gestaan.
Er zijn momenteel werkzaamheden die worden verricht. Dit is niet vooraf kenbaar gemaakt. Dit haalt iets van een gevoel van ontspanning weg. Is toch anders als je een elektrische fijnzaag op de achtergrond hoort razen. De douchestraal en -kracht is matig. De doucheslang is ook een aanwezige gast tijdens het douchen. Je staat er constant tegenaan. Gewoon jammer. Niet slecht, maar ook niet comfortabel. Bij het hotel heb je toegang tot een terras met uitzicht op de stad. Zeer aangenaam. De verdere sfeer is wat kil. Een van de bediende werknemers kwam erg onsympathiek over. Minimale communicatie en van afstand roepen in het Frans dat de deur wordt gesloten naar het hotel toe, omdat het terras is gesloten vanaf 18.30 uur. Naar mijn mening weinig gastvrij en klantvriendelijk. Je roept niet op afstand naar gasten. Alle andere medewerkers waren neutraal vriendelijk.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Beautiful building, gardens and views. Rooms were very well appointed and lovely to stay in. Restaurant was also very nice, excellent cheese trolley!
Better bar snacks and/or room service menu. As the hotel is a way out of town and the cable car stops at 6:30 pm, the only food options are to eat in the upscale restaurant, which is very nice, but if you are travelling with children as we were, it has no options of simple food for kids, even a simple order of frites would be appreciated.
