Great location, far away from the central part of town to enjoy peace and quiet and close enough to walk in to town should you want to leave the car behind. Room was a good size with very comfortable bed, and woke with birds singing outside the window. Great bathroom and shower head, however if you are fussy about shampoo/conditioner bring your own, from memory they had a 2-in one situation. The hotel was clean in all public areas with classic elegant interior. The staff are the real highlight of the stay, Brendan met us upon arrival and assisted with our check-in and luggage, he was a real gentleman and felt like he must be part of the hotel. While we did have the chance to eat in the restaurants, we arrived to their bar late in the evening after a night on the town - we were celebrating one of our party birthday, waiting for midnight to make the celebration official - and were greeted with the lovely Minesh (Joe). He was so kind and patient with our antics, arranged a Happy Birthday song to play at the strike of midnight and had a slice of cake. The following day, nursing slightly sore heads, but happy hearts we met Lenny at the Cafe. She was very kind and assisted in supplying us with big smile, pastries and delicious coffee to assist in the next leg of our journey. *I use an em-dash, but AI had nothing to do with writing the above. Good location, quiet but convenient. Easy walk to town. Nice bar. Pleasant decor. Comfy bed. Lovely bathroom. Very clean.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was well placed for the town and parking was straightforward.the room was clean and of a good size.

The bathroom was in need of updating.

The staff were 5 star. The hotel comfertable and homey . Good price. Great breakfast. Would return even if I prefer city center usualy (only 20 minutes walk )

Der Concierge war bezaubernd, und obwohl ich etwas spät ankam, und die Küche 10 Minuten zuvor schloss, bekam ich noch ein tolles Essen von der Speisekarte Das Bett war großartig und die Wäsche duftete sehr sauber!

Einzig der Gang ist hellhörig, was aber von den Gästen kam, aus den Nebenzimmern hörte ich nichts....

Very responsive, pleasant and hospitable staff. Nicely renovated clean and comfortable facility. Very convenient, quick cab ride to all amenities and on bus routes too.

Staff were lovely - front reception and coffee shop staff were great, accommodating and made the stay even better

This property was artsy and interesting. There was a hospital across the street but there were no sirens at all. It was in a safe area. We had dinner and a drink at the bar one night and the man who worked behind the bar made the stay so great. He came over and asked if we wanted our picture taken together because he saw me taking pictures. Then he asked if I wanted a glass of ice water to bring back to my room. It was such a little thing but that really made my night. He was so nice!

Nulla di rilevante. Si trova a un paio di chilometri dal centro città dove ci siamo recati in auto. L'ascensore è ad uso esclusivo del personale che si occupa di portare i bagagli al piano assegnato.

Letto king-size supercomodo! Colazione buona. Struttura ben restaurata e ben arredata, con gusto ed eleganza. Molto bello! Parcheggio comodissimo.

Malgré son aspect extérieur correct, son intérieur en bois et sa situation calme, Hôtel resté dans les années 80, trop cher 280€ pour 2 avec petit déjeuner vraiment moyen, 2 expresso et 1 cappuccino payants 6,50€ ,pas de croissant….tout préparé d avance en libre service. Dans la chambre pas de frigo, pas de bouteilles d’eau, pas de prises aux normes ,pas de coffre, ventilation bruyante dans la salle de bain. Franchement ne vaut pas le détour rapport qualité /prix.

Staff were nice and helpful when they were available. The bar looks newly renovated. Lots of available parking.

The rooms are standard but the furniture is quite old and worn. Lots of scuff marks etc. throughout on the walls and furniture. Reception was not regularly manned and we ended up checking ourselves out. Given the price charged for one night, I had higher expectations.

This was a very comfortable hotel & we loved our short stop over night , the breakfast was delicious

My stay here occurred from August 3-4, 2026. Staying here felt like staying at one's grandmother's house in the coziest and most tranquil way. The only thing that was missing was the milk and cookies and a fire in the fireplace. The atmosphere here was grand and elegant. Part pub and part hotel, this hotel was very orderly and clean. Staff was very nice and can assist you with your bags to your room if needed. I loved the vintage feel of the bar area - it felt like a Sherlock Holmes story.

My issues were minimal. Though there is body wash and shampoo available in the bathroom, there is no body lotion - which should be included. The location is a little out of the way from the center of town. If you prefer to have peace and quiet then you will enjoy your stay here.

Cute little quaint and quiet hotel, within a 25-min walk of the town centre.

Room could have been a touch cleaner. We noticed a former guest's beer can on the floor, but otherwise was well-kept.

Es war gut zu erreichen. Es gab genügend Parkplätze. Die Bar bietet vernünftiges Bier und ab 18 Uhr dann auch ein bisschen was zu essen. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß. Frühstück war auch in Ordnung.

Es ist ein bisschen abgewohnt. Die Möbel haben viele Kratzer und sind nicht mehr so gut in Schuss. Auch im Bad haben die Silikonfugen schon sehr gelitten.

Breakfast was below average for my taste; had I known, I would have booked without it. The property is quite worn, but it was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind.

Friendly. Easy parking. Location (easy access to Central Kilkenny). Bed was reasonable size as was the room.

A bit of noise from upstairs but not much to complain about. I suspect it was high season but the cost seemed a bit out of line with the location and quality of the offer.

Stayed for three nights and most say the highlight was the staff, so friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bar was beautiful, comfortable and the bar staff chatty and great craic

The location was OK. The room was OK.

I got the feeling the manager would've been happier if our group of three couples weren't there. He didn't really go out of his way to make us feel welcome. One of our group paid significantly more than the current rack rate on their website and he couldn't care less. The room we had was nothing like the marketing photos. Plugs didn't work. Lack of space to put our cases. Sorry but I've got nothing much good to say about this place.

The room was beautiful, especially the bathroom with a big shower. I loved the bar and coffee shop in the hotel, such good quality food and drinks. All the staff was also so amazing and friendly.

Honestly I literally can't say anything bad except one minor improvement, the TV's. They're a bit outdated and people that want to watch movies on Netflix at night for example, are unable to do that. It doesn't have to be big flat screen TVs, but just update the system, so that people can connect to the TV to watch Netflix and stuff, even thru their own accounts.

Brandon vom Empfang war äußerst zuvorkommend, auch der Barkeeper vom angeschlossenen Pub war der Inbegriff an Freundlichkeit. Das Zimmer war ganz zauberhaft und sauber.

Leider haben wir die ganze Nacht einen Kompressor gehört, Abluft oder Klimaanlage vom Pub, teilweise echt laut. Ob das aber in allen Zimmern so ist, wissen wir nicht. Es gab keine Klobürste und manches im Bad war etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstück eher durchschnittlich.

It has quite a large room and the rooms are very clean. We were very comfortable and had a good night rest. We were very lucky to get the first floor rooms because we have to climb up the stairs.

Nothing. Only my room tap for the shower was very tight, hence it was difficult to change the water temperature.

Beautiful hotel. Really nicely decorated and cosy. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The staff were attentive and friendly. Bed was very comfortable and we got a great nights sleep. It was a hot and humid day and a fan was available upon request which was super appreciated!

The shower didn't have cold water. It stayed at an extremely hot temperature no matter how we tried to turn the handle. The TV was also difficult to use. Trying to use netflix was tricky as it kept freezing. It may have been the remote control but unsure.
