Needs upgrades in the bathroom.

Very close to town within walking distance

Breakfast was great. Location was perfect. We got our laundry done half a block away at a reasonable price. I highly recommend. John and Angela are super.

Die Lage war sehr gut, die Landlady und ihr Mann waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sehr herzlich! Der Eingangsbereich ist sehr schön und einladend ausgestattet. Da ich morgens nicht so viel essen kann, habe ich kein Frühstück gebucht, kann dazu also nichts sagen.

Leider war mein Zimmer zwar mit herzigen, liebevollen Details gestaltet, aber insgesamt sehr unpraktisch. Die Matratze des Doppelbettes war kompmett durchgelegen, wahrscheinlich uralt. Es hatte nur einen Stuhl, obwohl das Zimmer für zwei Personen ist. Es hat auch fast keine Ablage- oder Abstellfläche, und kein Tischchen/Tisch, wo man sich hinsetzen und z. B. etwas schreiben oder irgendwas erledigen kann, was man nicht unbedingt auf dem Bett machen kann. Man kann auch niegends etwas aufhängen. Um das Bett herum hat es noch einen knappen Meter Platz, mehr nicht, ausser bei der Zimmertür. Ausserdem war mein Zimmer (Nummer 1) direkt oberhalb der Eingangstür. Also jedesmal wenn jemand hinein kam und die Tür ins Schloss fallen liess, 'stand' ich quasi im Bett. Es war sowieso insgesamt sehr ringhörig. Wenn man wirklich nur zum Schlafen im Zimmer ist, geht es einigermassen. Wenn man sich sonst darin aufhalten muss/ möchte, ist es extrem unpraktisch! Darum finde ich es überteuert. Vielleicht hatte ich ja azch nur das Ersatzzimmer...

Ottima colazione, la camera molto carina (stile tipico del luogo), perfetta posizione a pochi passi dal centro e dalla stazione degli autobus, molto buona la pulizia ed una fantastica cordialità dei proprietari.

We loved everything about this property but especially it’s location. It is within walkable distance of, well, everything including the castle and great restaurants.

The location was good and close to town, restaurants/pubs.

The host man was nice and welcoming. The room itself was small the bathroom door couldn’t be completely open and the bed very noisy. Unfortunately breakfast was a bad experience, toast was cold and when I asked for an Irish breakfast the lady told me that I should have ordered before (which we didn’t know) so I just had an orange juice which is not a breakfast and not what I paid for.

Great location, breakfast and friendly hosts

The Irish breakfast was good! The soda bread was very good. It was located near to many restaurants, pubs in the evenings.

It would have been nice to be offered whole grain toast instead of only white toast.

We had the top room (room 5) with panoramic views of the city, able to see the castle and cathedrals from our room. It was absolutely lovely.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but we made it work.

Over-priced for a small B&B room with v limited facilities. Strong smell of hosts evening cooking throughout the house when we arrived ; and strong smell of guests breakfast in our bedroom in the morning

John und Angela sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber, super Lage... nur 5 min zu Fuß zum Zentrum.

Fantastic location and parking. The breakfast in the morning was the true highlight, some of the best in Ireland.

La logeuse nous a placé dans 2 chambres alors que nous pouvions aisément dans une des chambres où il y avait 4 couchages. Le petit déjeuner n'avait pas d'Irsih Pudding

We had a lovely spacious room on the top floor, with two queen-sized beds. Our welcome was very nice. The centre of the beautiful town, was a brief (3 minutes) walk. The bathroom was also very spacious and well facilitated.

La struttura gode di un'ottima posizione, vicino al centro di Kilkenny. Il personale è molto gentile e accogliente e l'ambiente è tranquillo.

Personnel adorable. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient très propres. Le petit déjeuner irlandais était très bon et copieux. À proximité du centre ville de Kilkenny, moins de 5 min à pieds.

Angela was a wonderfully warm host who went out of her way to make us comfortable. We had just arrived from a very long flight, and she let us check in early and we were able to take a quick nap! We were also able to park onsite. You can't beat the location - we walked everywhere and could see the beautiful sights from our room. Thank you Angela!

We loved how convenient the B&B was to the centre of the city for shopping, food and drink. parking availability was perfect. Our hosts were very welcoming . The place was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious.

we had difficulty opening the front door when we tried to get back to the accomodation (maybe the lock should be changed?). Breakfast finishes quite early, it would be nice maybe extend till 10.30am. Also a hairdryer would be nice in the room

De gehorige kamers, buren die om 01.45 losgaan in het liefdesspel tot 2.30! Respect maar had liever lekker geslapen.

Good location by the river and town.

Lage ist perfekt. Angela und John sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Alles supersauber. Angela ist Autorin, sie hat mir ein Buch sehr persönlich und sehr nett signiert.

We were looked after very well and are very happy about our stay there. The only thing I would say is that as far as I could see, this is not a place to stay if you have mobility problems. There may be a lift, but as we did not need one, we did not ask. The position is perfect. A short walk away from the very pretty town of Kilkenny and so we were kept very busy. I wish we could have had more time, but we didn't. Our hosts were very kind and really cared about making our stay perfect. So much care and attention has been paid to the room and bathroom ensuite, and everything is spotlessly clean and tidy. Different types of breakfast are offered, so there is plenty of choice.

Nothing bad to say about it besides the warning that it may not be for a person in a wheelchair, etc. I may be wrong and I hope that if I am giving any wrong information, our hosts will correct me.

Frühstück war super und genügend. Alles war frisch und gut auch war die Bedienung freundlich und das Celtic House ist sehr gut gelegen. Wir konnten das Auto während dem Aufenthalt stehen lassen. Super alles.

John and Angela were great hosts and our stay was excellent

Ik stel het op prijs als er gevraagd wordt welk ontbijt ik zou willen. Nu moest er onnodig eten worden weggegooid omdat er 2 gebakken eieren geserveerd werden.

The owners Angela & John were so kind, warm & welcoming! We arrived in the early evening and they allowed us to park right at the front door which was great for unloading our luggage. After we got settled they shared information on a wonderful pub within five minutes. The next morning we awoke to a wonderful breakfast and learned the history of the Celtic House and their family. They allowed us to leave our car in the same spot while we toured Kilkenny.

Excellent location, easy walk to all major sites. Friendly innkeepers. Great breakfast. Clean, simple rooms.

Von der Unterkunft kommt man schnell zu Fuß in die die Innenstadt. Die Lage ist top! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und umsorgt. Das Frühstück war super.
