L’architettura è incantevole. Nonostante sia parte della catena relais & chateau è veramente unico. Alcuni aspetti, che sembrano un pò naif, in realtà rendono il posto molto vero ed è questo a renderlo davvero speciale. Si vede che chi l’ha realizzato ha messo tutto se stesso nel progetto.

From the moment we arrived, we received an incredibly warm welcome. It was the best check-in experience of our entire trip through Northern Spain. The staff took care of our luggage, showed us around the hotel, and explained all the facilities. The hotel has a spacious parking area with EV charging, beautiful gardens, a lovely swimming pool, and excellent service around the pool and garden. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a unique character. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of fresh products and some excellent à la carte options. We also had dinner at the hotel's gastronomic restaurant, which was outstanding. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

The only minor thing we missed at breakfast was a larger selection of fresh vegetables. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Weird, tacky, vaguely racist “art” sculptures for sale that looked like they were depicting slavery? Downtrodden black laborers? They were mass-produced and throughout the hotel in display cases. Not good.

Ein ausserordentlich schönes Hotel in einer jahrhundertealten Anlage, die sehr gut erhalten ist. Sehr guter Service inkl. Gepäck aufs Zimmer, kostenlose Pool-Tücher, Auto parkieren sowie viel freundliches Nachfragen, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Das Frühstück war unglaublich gut.

Das Restaurant war ausgezeichnet, es fehlten allerdings vegetarische Optionen auf der Karte. Auf Nachfrage wurde dann ein sehr leckerer Reis mit Grillgemüse für uns zu bereitet (wiederum grosser Pluspunkt). Es hatte etwas wenig Liegen beim Pool, wenn viele Gäste das schöne Wetter geniessen möchten.

L’hôtel est un peu excentré et dans une zone industrielle mais le infrastructures et les jardins sont très agréables. Le restaurant et petit déjeuner sont plutôt bons. La décoration de l’hôtel est faite avec goût et les chambres confortables

L’entrée au spa n’est pas comprise dans le prix de la chambre qui est relativement onéreux par rapport aux autres hôtels de standings de la région et facturé au tarif de 35 euros par personne pour 1h pour des infrastructures vieillissantes

Not a child friendly hotel. I was forced to upgrade to Luxury room in order to have a child bed, while there was plenty of space in the room, and we didn’t need any extra bed, as the 5 year old child slept in her parents’ bed. Despite the fact that we booked and paid for 3 double rooms for our family over 2 days, the manager didn’t care about our frustration. The hotel is outside the city center, requiring a taxi for tours in the old city. Basic breakfast, substandard for a hotel in this category.

Cafe Baltesar was inconsistent and often slow. Some of the staff serving didn't seem interested and were simply just doing their job. The food choice could be wider as this is where we ate on both nights as the restaurant opening time of 8pm is too late for our preference.

Dear Sir or Madame  Quita da Auga in Santiago de Compostella hotel does not deserve association with relais and chateaux brad. We spent one night at this establishment with non-working air conditioning.  The temperature would not drop below +23C (75F) throughout the night in our room. We could not sleep.     We took three time-stamped photos illustrating the temperature and the time photos were taken during the night.  When we complained to the receptionist in the morning, they told us that it was our fault that we didn't notify them in the middle of the night of the issue.  According to them we were supposed to have requested repairs in the middle of the night!!! We spent the night with open windows in the room full of mosquitoes.   I requested to speak to the hotel manager and sent the hotel the time-stamped photos. I was assured that the manager would call me back..   I have never received a call back.  Though we have already checked out, we went back to the hotel to speak to the manager.   We spoke to Carla , Al quality manager   Who simply told us that the air conditioning in our room works fine , that temperature of +23 C (75F) is a standard temperature in the hotel rooms, that she did not need to see the time-stamped photos and we should be on our way.   I tried calling Louisa, the general manager, and left a message with Andrea who told me that Louisa would call me back.  Nothing happened.  We feel that our trust in Relais and Chateaux brand was betrayed.   We were lied to about the functionality of the air conditioner in our room straight to our face.  We were lied to about the GM getting back to us.

I had a very negative experience at this hotel. The private spa was in poor condition (dirty, with insects, and on one occasion it smelled of urine). When I complained, the staff downplayed the issue and denied everything. I filed a formal complaint with Relais & Châteaux. More than a year later, they cancelled my confirmed reservation and banned me from the hotel, citing "serious incidents" during that stay. It seems quite clear that this is retaliation for having filed a complaint. I have now been waiting almost 24 hours without any meaningful response. The hotel is going worse over time, same price or higher with qualities doing down. Including personnel, which is at this point the main pain point of this place

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate twice in the higher end restaurant and the food (and service) were excellent. The bed was very comfortable.

Our (entry level) room was on a lower ground (basement) floor and was very dark with no view other than of a grass bank rising up from our window. We found the room to be overly stuffed with an odd mixture of old and new furniture, some of which was not as useful as it could have been. For example, there were no drawers at all in the room and all clothes (including underwear) had to be stored on a shelf inside the wardrobe. There would have been space to include a chest of drawers in the room in place of the (entirely useless) writing bureau or the TV table that had a gap underneath where the cables from the TV were visible trailing down the wall. The two bedside tables were large and had no storage space underneath either. Maybe a personal preference but we generally expect to find drawers in a hotel room. There was also no coffee machine, although one was provided on request. We then had to keep requesting additional capsules for our morning coffee as they were not automatically replenished. The outside areas were pleasant enough although the furniture was very uncomfortable with no cushions provided (or available on request) for the seats or beds around the pool. The informal cafe had uncomfortable fold up wooden chairs that discouraged a long lazy lunch. The hotel is also a large wedding venue and hosted events on two of the three nights while we were staying, with loud amplified live music playing directly adjacent to the outside terrace of the high-end restaurant. Reviews seem to be excellent but we were thoroughly underwhelmed. We would not stay again and would advise friends to look elsewhere.

We felt that this did not match other hotels charging the same price for rooms. What we got was a good three star experience. There was a scarcity of staff, only two attending the breakfast area each morning. The ordered breakfast was poorly presented on the plate with no finesse. The buffet area did not have a huge selection. E.g in other hotels of this price range there is usually a few different types of bread to choose from. Fruit selection was limited and melon and pineapple left in large slices. We have had better food in b&b accommodation. Some staff were lovely and others didn’t care. It was as if the owners have cut back on staff to save money. Another sign of financial cutbacks was in the toilet cubicles near reception, the lights were programmed to stay on for thirty seconds and then left you in the dark, to locate and press the switch again. How much did this save them, honestly! Also liquid soap seemed to be watered down in these toilets. The mini bar in the bedroom contained non alcoholic beverages only. The cafe style chairs for the bar/ cafe area outdoors were not very comfortable. More comfortable chairs on the other side of the patio area were cordoned off in the evenings and patrons were not allowed to use them! The spa area was also very disappointing. The sauna, special showers etc were very small. The addition of artificial grass around the outer shower walls was really cheap looking. The pool was small but nice and the different jets in the adjacent pool were interesting. We paid extra beforehand with the spa deal as we thought we would benefit from it, DO NOT PAY FOR THIS IN ADVANCE UNTIL YOU SEE THE AREA perhaps on seeing it you may decide not to avail of it at all! You have to book the spa area in advance and can only stay an hour per day. This is probably because the area really only facilitates about 8-10 people comfortably. There was another pool outdoors which wasn’t heated, but was warm because of the sun.

Charming creative decor, super comfy beds, great restaurants.

Maybe spa could be elevated a bit but really enjoyed all the pools and think the circuit helped my camino recovery a lot.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was wonderful and so hospitable. Our rooms weren't ready, so they invited us to have a cocktail down by the pool and explore their beautiful gardens. The space is serene - you will never want to leave. We also had dinner one night at the restaurant, and the service and food were great too. The breakfast buffet was also very good. The rooms are gorgeous and super clean. The interiors are impressive. 11/10 would recommend and would want to revisit.

I was really angry to know that charging for electric car costs 40€ per night(well they say for whole day but those who use electric understand that it works not like that). Charging is essential feature in today travel, and hotels normally provide it either free or at symbolic price to cover the cost, thats not the case. I take 2 points out.

One of the best hotels we experienced. We have traveled the world and rarely have found a hotel of this quality. The surroundings, accommodations and s we service we outstanding.

There was nothing that wasn’t above and beyond expectations.

Everything was exceptional, from the staff who welcomed us to the smiling happy bar and restaurant staff. They treated our two little doxies like guests themselves, with beds and bowls and treats galore. The room was impeccably designed for cozy comfort, evoking a long weekend in the family country home but on a grander scale. The grounds were beautiful, the pool was refreshing on a hot day. The Michelin restaurant did NOT disappoint! Terrace seating overlooking the garden, every dish we had was amazing from the salt- encrusted seabream to the lamb shoulder to the scallops, amazing! The location and the history of the hotel is super interesting, the owner/architect had a wonderful vision that came to fruition with the river and gardens in a surprisingly quiet corner of Santiago de Compostela. Did I mention the staff? They made our experience so special we are planning on visiting in September.

I can hardly bring myself to comment but the late night dog barking from across the revene was concerning but not bothersome, they quieted down eventually. It is probably a kennel of sorts.

Hospitality and greetings from staff are outstanding. The property is generally in good repair with only minor items needing attention. The secluded location is good and the grounds are quiet even though there were several parties over the weekend. The quality and finish of the construction, especially the windows and doors, is outstanding.

There are numerous figurines throughout the lobby and common areas depicting what seem to be slaves or black people in various domestic activities. Not sure if there's a specific significance to these but I found it offensive to display these in the 21st century. Some are even for sale. On another note, as minor as this may seem, it's the small details that make a high quality property truly outshine. The quality of the toilet paper here is well below standards. I found softer tissue in a public parking garage toilet.

Everything! The historic property exquisitely renovated and decorated, with so much history! The staff were very friendly and helpful; the breakfast buffet and dinner at Filigrana were superb. The spa pool circuit is amazing, especially after a long day of walking. If I ever return to Santiago I will stay at Quinta da Auga again!

The reception staff seemed a bit confused at many times and only seemed capable when Maria took charge. Maria was fantastic and a true leader who made the guests feel welcome and special . Spa could be bigger as it got crowded very easily.

Кожен куточок — коридори, зони відпочинку, номери — продумані до найменших деталей. Усе виконано дуже красиво, стильно та гармонійно. Окремо хочу відзначити привітність і дружелюбність персоналу. Працівники готелю одразу розташовують до себе та створюють дуже теплу атмосферу. Навіть якщо виникають мовні труднощі чи якісь питання, персонал завжди знаходить спосіб допомогти та вирішити все максимально комфортно для гостей. Також окреме місце у моїх враженнях займає спа-комплекс. Після важкої дороги ми змогли по-справжньому відпочити та відновитися. Я відвідала масаж і, на жаль, не пам’ятаю імені масажистки, але після її роботи я буквально відчула нові сили. Особливо хочу відзначити сніданки — дуже смачні, ситні та різноманітні. Вечері протягом усіх трьох вечорів також були неймовірними. Усі страви, які ми обирали, були просто “вау”. А в останній вечір ми з подругою вирішили спробувати дегустаційне меню з 12 страв у стилі ресторанів Michelin. La decoració un tan caòtica; amb barreja d’estils poc encertada; venta d’objectes diversos sense cap sentit, jardins poc cuidats. En definitiva no correspon a un nivell de Relais&Chateaux.

Instalações únicas com excepcional bom gosto e requinte! Fomos recebidos no quarto com bilhete de boas vindas e docinho, uma delicadeza que nos fez sentir especiais! Equipe da recepção muito simpática todos os dias! Limpeza do quarto impecável ! tivemos também atendimento no bistro por uma argentina muito prestativa que nos encantou!

Somente melhoraria as opções de frutas no café da manhã, nos dois dias não houve mudança.!

Excellent staff, beautiful location, wonderful ambiance

Only the lady at the breakfast room wasn’t nice

The spa facilities and the water circuit were great and we had a good time, even though some of the water jets were not working. The restaurant and the cafe are great, the food at the restaurant was exquisit and the waiters lovely. The room was big and spacious, and the reception staff was helpful and overall brilliant. Loved the breakfast spread, and the decor was remarkable as well.

I think the bathroom in our room could have benefitted from having a heated towel rack, especially to dry swimsuits after the spa.

Lugar muy tranquilo, acogedor con toque familiar. Cerca de la ciudad en 7 minutos estas en el centro.
