It was very peaceful and quiet with a generous comfortable room good facilities, spa etc and after de stressing I slept so comfortably.

No chocolate on pillows

We enjoyed the peacefulness, and the accommodation was so lovely. Didnt want to leave.

Space in the unit was great. Would be a nice in summer months. Was made miserable by the weather.

Bed was hard and high, but lovely pillows. Didn't like the muddy pathway from the waka to the verandha. Was a very wet day.

I loved it! Booked it last minute and it exceeded my expectations. Staff were so accommodating, I would definitely stay again.

The grounds were very fun for our children to explore. The spa pool is also a good feature for children during the winter.

Spa was not hot enough when we used it Cottage a bit cold initially and condensation on window in the morning even though we left heap pump on whole night. A bit dusty at cottage entrance - wooden floor can get dusty quickly There are moudly spots in shower.but not too bad.

We loved our stay, it was peaceful and such beautiful grounds. Friendly staff member showed us around and we felt very comfortable. I would 100% come back here

Location was an unexpected surprise - tucked away, down by the river but so close to town.

Avalon feels like a holiday. Resort style within a tranquil setting with water and bush clad privacy. The cottages are roomy and fully equipped. Bath in Bathroom. Watched the stars from the spa at night.

It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place. My daughter absolutely loved our room — it had such a warm and cosy, homely feeling. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again next time!

The location is down a long driveway and feels rural. There are ponds and semi-tropical plantings. It has an Asian-hippie feel that I really liked, also fruit trees and ducks.

Roads need upgrading which owner is doing up. Cottage could be made more attractive with a couple of rugs as was wintertime and a warmer blanket for smaller bed.

The helpfulness of the owner to our needs was exceptional. The setting was amazing as well as unique and the room was extremely good - kitchen was very well equipped. The use of a spa and sauna was an added bonus.

The accommodation is hidden and quiet from the main road. Beautiful scenery. Accomodation was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable with an electric blanket which was an extra bonus.

The quiet farm-like surroundings of this property were superb. Chickens were roaming freely and we were greeted with free oranges and lemons from the trees upon our arrival. The property was very comfortable and cosy and had all the comforts of home.

The shower cubicle was very small and despite the shower door being closed, water leaked onto the floor.

Cleanliness could definitely been be better. I have had almost 20 years in hotels, so have high expectations. Rats in the roof did not allow a peaceful sleep at all.

We love this place. ITuu is the 3rd time we stayed at this property. It is kids friendly and the owner Brad is very accommodating and friendly.

We like this property because the cottages are cost and have everything you need for a stay away from home. Our kids like the spa, ffeeding the fish n chickens.The only thing we want the property owners to control on mosquitoes. Rest all was perfect.

Absolutely amazing accommodation, beautiful scenery, secure space, very inviting and homely. The facilities were great, they have a laundry onsite. The pool and Spa were very clean. Great space to relax.

Parking was a little walk from where our place was. We were out early and in late so the dark and lugging stuff back and foward. Thats the only thing I could fault.

We loved everything about the property, especially where we stayed in the Turquoise suite! The bed was so comfy, the shower/bathroom were modern and clean, as was the kitchen. Plus, we could just step out on the back deck with a pool, hot tub, grill and sauna right on our doorstep! Brad was fabulous in making us feel welcome and sharing local knowledge about the area. Highly recommend and will definitely book again if we are in the area!!

It’s excellent

We could not fault the resort at all or Brad (the owner) who was very obliging , as I phoned him to ask how do we get to the Resort & he said he would come & pick us up, which he did. Then he also booked us into a lovely restaurant that night & dropped us off there & also picked us up, when we were ready to come back. The next morning at 5am dropped us off to Kerikeri Airport. We would highly recommend Brand & his beautiful, tranquil, peaceful resort without hesitation. Cheers Darleen & Les

The motels are down a very lovely bush lined drive. Quite a distance from the main road. The Studio Unit was close to the parking area, so very good for getting luggage into the room. It had a separate bedroom, and good seating in the lounge dining area. Excellent heat pump as it was wet and chilly while we were there. Great outside seating, covered area, so you could sit outside if you wanted to, even when raining.

Nothing really. The only disadvantage was it is quite a distance from the town center if you want to walk there.

Brad was so accommodating and made sure we were happy. We Loved the studio unit it had everything that we needed and sum. We would highly recommend Avalon resort cottages to others. Super plus....a really comfortable bed, we will definitely be back, thankyou Brad.
