The constant humming when the heat pump is on is quite annoying when trying to sleep. We turned it off each night before going to bed

Reviewed Jun 4, 2026The motel is walking distance from the restaurants and supermarkets, which is a good thing.
Driveway work was going on when we arrived. We were told to proceed to the chalet. My car tire scrapped against an exposed steel angle bar driven into the ground for boxing work. As a result, my tire wall was ruptured., I had to get a new tire brought in from Auckland. The contractor however paid for 50% of the cost.

Das ich die Nachbaren sprechen hörte und sogar ihren Unterhaltungen teilweise folgen konnte. Am schlimmsten war es im Badezimmer.

Reviewed Apr 5, 2026individual little houses which are well equipped and have a porch out the front to have a beer and enjoy dinner. The property is surrounded by avocado trees and was very quiet when we were there. The main shops are just a short drive down the road (2 mins) and there is a cake shop with coffee/ tea just next door. They have an outdoor BBQ which was clean and well maintained. We stayed here because accommodation was cheaper. We drove to Piahia and did a ferry trip to Russell and a boat cruise to the Hole in the Rock and the drive to and from was nothing.

Reviewed Apr 5, 2026Location is great in town central. The individual cottages feel great and there are lots of trees around. It has everything you need for a holiday get away.
The path from reception to the cottage is under construction so the road is super narrow and you have to be careful not to hit either side. Hopefully this get fixed soon!

Personally couldn’t find an after hours key drop box near reception, ended up leaving key where I found it in chalet. Left feeling I did the wrong thing but that’s all I can fault.
