Cranford Oak Motel

Good location, good parking, not full occupancy

There was nothing I did not like

Very helpful staff

Nothing

The lay out the room. Impressed with all the utensils, microwave, plates etc. Bathroom was great lots of room. Nice fluffy towels and still has toiletries. Fairly quite given the location . Easy acssess.

Couldnt work the heat pump, but then I didn't ask either. Other than that nothing else.

Very helpful friendly staff

Stopped here many times. It's a great location for the airport and town. This trip was to buy a car and it was only 300m away from the motel. It's very clean and perfect for a short stay.

A bit noisy with traffic at night. Doesn't bother me, but might annoy some people.

great place to stay so i could visit my friend at Diana Isaacs. Friendly and very helpful staff

bathroom was very cold. Maybe I need to harden up!

Everything was upto standard for our two night stay. It was close to our new favourite restaurant. It was close to everything we wanted to do in Christchurch. We would stay again.

Just a small thing the microwave needs to be changed as it is starting to rust inside. Apart from that everything was good.

Good Amenities

Good location, fuel and pub accross road .Yet to try meals has gf option important for us..Friendly and welcoming host .Very tidy and kept to great std

Seems to be a common problem most places, shower needs some attention in terms of cleaning (exit mould)]

Clean modern, great water pressure

Helpful staff, nice cleaners, the oak tree was gorgeous, good coffee n biscuits. Lots of towels provided

Dryer n washer room was locked so couldn't go in without getting someone and needed coins. It was also a very old machine x2. Internet working sometimes but not very good for video. Cleaners arrived at different times and sometimes before 10am. No sign for room do not disturb to put on door.

good location near the city

no

Location

Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Making noise and no support at all.

Great location, handy to the part of Chch we needed to be in

Bed could have been a bit bigger

Great location for my needs, very clean comfortable & welcoming staff

No issues

I liked the photos.

Booked and paid for a king superior room with spa, was given a cold room under the stairs that looked nothing like the photos. Even tho the heatpump was on full all night it was absolutely freezing, the bathroom and kitchen tiles were like ice to walk on, broken latch on one of the windows. The night manager rudely banged on our room door and then proceeded to unlock the door and let himself in because he could smell weed outside which wasnt from my room, he told me off for not answering the door too him. Couldn't relax, felt very cold and on edge for rest of the night.

I liked the size and bench space in bathroom. And toiletries provided. The kitchen was convenient too.

Its not that I didn't like things. But a couple of suggestions..1. A long carpet mat in bathroom, and one in kitchen. The floor is freezing. Also, the sheer curtains ..the strings were hanging down and sheers were not ironed. This cud be all done so cheaply. This motel is on great bus route and handy to town. Near great pub, and we will certainly come again. Also spray the shower walls with exit.mould. it works a treat! Cheers

Clean and comfortable

Didn't enjoy the unit next to the stairs was very gloomy

Location, Clean and staff were amazing.

Bed was comfortable

Everything felt old. Carpets weren't clean. Just didn't feel clean. Inside of toilet was stained.

Good location, good deal, friendly staff, with sufficient stuff we need.

Good location, comfortable and friendly

The location was great.

No cooking facility eg. Hot plate was not working. The noise of traffic wasn't pleasant at all.

We booked a downstairs room and this was confirmed but was suddenly unavailable on arrival.Others that booked after us got downstairs rooms. We had a medical reason for this and would have booked elsewhere if we had known. It spoiled a good stay.

Loved our stay here - the bloke behind the desk was super helpful and nice.

It was quiet and conveniently located for what we needed. The bed was comfy and the room size was great. I liked the layout of the bathroom. There was a single burner cook top which was very efficient.

It’s a bit tricky to get to because of the road layout. That is no fault of the Motel of course.

Location to my event. Nice and close to restaurant

Shower seal exposed and hazard. Microwave front cover had crack in it

Excellent Staff and location. Room had everything needed plus nice little extras. Bed was very comfortable. Room was warm and quiet. Easy accessible parking. Accommodated my 1.30am check in.

Nothing

Missed an email , didn’t arrive in time to gain access. Couldn’t contact staff. From the outside looked quite run down. Luckily didn’t pay anything but after battling through storms to get there felt tired and disappointed.

Cleanness, kitchen stuff

Noise from the street

Very happy with the room and facilities overall. A very comfy bed. It's next to a busy road so there was some traffic noise but I knew that before booking.

Traffic noise - but it wouldn't stop me staying again. A good option for that area.

Well located. Clean and modern. Good quality plunger coffee and range of teas. Cookies were a bonus. Excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend to others and stay again ourselves.

Nothing

Friendly and very helpful reception staff and clean and comfortable accommodation.

All good.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent bathroom with plenty of room to move around.

There weren't any negatives.

Could here people using toilet during the night. Using TV bit of guess for us ,in our 80's! No instructions. Would not have known where to gather in event of an emergency .! No info!]

Very good facilities, friendly staff

The kitchen a bitt too cramped

Close to where I needed to be. I was upgraded and had a lovely spa bath. Also asked for a late checkout so I could attend parkrun and return for a shower. This was granted for which I was appreciative. Very friendly staff. Guest laundry was a bonus.

Hard to leave curtains open as people could see in as they walked by our up the stairs.

Location to public transport

The wifi was sketchy and slow. Needed to continually reboot TV to watch Netflix. However we weren’t there to watch TV. Wifi extender?

Distance from Airport $50 for taxi from Airport

Great location, especially the 2 minute walk to the Cranford Ale House, where the food was fantastic.

Fantastisch für ein Motel, war prima gelegen für die Weiterfahrt am nächsten Tag

None

Unfriendly staff. We booked the placed and was charged by booking.com but cannot check in when we arrived. The staff said it was cancelled by booking.com without giving any evidence. He didn't help to contact booking.com to clear the case and unfriendly asking us to leave. We have to booked another place to stay, which is much more expensive due to last min deal and very troublesome.

Location was perfect for us. Manager was very helpful & accommodating.

Location

Bed was a little uncomfortable.

Very handy location for the event I was attending, and the price was very reasonable. Free parking was great. Bath was very welcomed and the water pressure is amazing!

The air conditioning unit made interesting noices during the night (so I had to turn it off, even though it was too warm). I'm not used to noice at night so sleep was disturbed (coming from a quiet rural area), earplugs would have solved this though so recommend to bring some if you are a light sleeper. Cleaning, particularly in the bathroom, left a little to be desired (hair on the wall and in the bath tub that got missed). The bed wasn't to my liking, however, that's quite an individual thing, so while my comfort score was lower, someone else might like a firmer matress.

A lot Parking on site Close to the city Very clean Well equipped Kitchen

- Beds sinking in the middle - 3 books piled under the bed to support it - not much light and air circulation in the room with 2 single beds - a bit noisy near highway, our room was at the end

Clean and close to facilities

Was a little noisy due to the traffic going by, I live in a very quiet area, so I am not use to it

Ottimo motel, tenendo conto del rapporto qualità prezzo. Gestori gentili.

Friendly owner who greeted us when we arrived. Easy access to unit as i have a disability. nice and warm and clean.

Nice and clean

Road noise

Spacious room

The shower gel and shampoo dispenser were hard to operate and difficult to see which was which with soap in your eyes. They need to either be in different colors or large print on the bottles.
