Villa Del Lago

The property was beautiful presented.. Everything needed for our stay was provided. Walk into Queenstown takes about 20 mins but easy. We stayed in number 16 lakefront.. It has a low but beautiful ore of the lake and the mountains. There is a lot of stairs to walk down and back up as the Frankton path that runs along the lake is closed. Once this reopens it will make a very easy walk into Queenstown

Amazing location half way between Frankton and town. Beautiful view of the remarkables. Good value for money for the size of the property.

The fireplace was not working throughout our stay. This was one of the main reasons we booked this accomodation and was dissapointing. In fairness they did explain this was due to the system for the complex needing replacement and it was no longer listed as a feature on their listing, but I feel the fireplace features heavily in multiple photos for the property which is misleading.

Suite 19 was in a brilliant location for views, access to unloading cases and perfect for the peace and quiet. Not that we needed it, but it clearly is an accessible unit and was great because there is a ramp near this unit to drive the car to it, unload and roll our cases in. There was no need at all to carry cases up or down the stairs. Also, the shower wasn't in a bath, so no need to climb in and possible slip when getting out.

There was nothing to not like. The staff were efficient with answering any queries we had and the suite was well stocked with everything that we needed for a four night stay.

1、没有拖鞋；（强烈建议自备） 2、厨房没有不粘锅，哪怕煎个鸡蛋也会立即粘在锅底；煎牛排、三文鱼，就会是灾难；（在New World购物时，可以考虑买一个不粘锅。） 3、冰箱温度设定不够低。我买的鱼肉放在冰箱，第一天就臭了；（会设定冰箱温度的，可以自己设定。） 4、Wi-Fi不给力。微信视频在客厅还能勉强，卧室无法接通。网速比不上手机4G；（视频通话时，改成4G网络。） 5、壁炉坏了，临时加热器让房间内空气异常干燥，导致我的鼻孔受伤，至今10天了，还没好。（不太冷，建议关闭加热器。）

The views are spectacular. Good cooking and laundry facilities.

We had a few issues with Villa 8. Firstly, there was no communication that the apartment was only accessible down three flights of stairs with no lift, so we had to carry 69kgs of luggage up and down. It was fine for us, but for an older couple they simply couldn’t do it. I think you should tell people about the stairs if their Villa is accessed by them. We spent one night on the mattress and had to buy a mattress topper from the local Kmart the next day to make it ok to sleep on. The fridge was off/broken. There was no water pressure in the shower. We made these complaints through booking.com and about 5mins later we had a maintenance person and property manager arrive to help with everything we needed which was great service. They offered to bring a new mattress, swap the fridge and replace the shower head so overall we were happy with that.

Fireplace was out of action, however, the staff were amazing and still provided us with heaters. The bed was not the comfiest and definitely had an indent / dip in it from all the past people that had slept in it.

We paid almost AUD 900 for two nights, expecting a comfortable stay, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. One very important detail was never mentioned during the booking process: our apartment was located three levels down with no lift access. This meant carrying all of our luggage down multiple flights of stairs. This was especially problematic because my mother had undergone knee surgery just two months before our trip and was unable to manage so many stairs. There was also no reception desk on site. I called the property’s reception number and was told the staff member needed to speak with her manager. However, no one called us back. After waiting in our car for another 30 minutes, I called again and was told that if we wanted to move to a higher-level apartment, we would have to pay approximately AUD 300 extra because the alternative unit was larger. I tried to explain our situation, but by then it was already 8:00 pm, we hadn’t had dinner, and we were exhausted from travelling. In the end, I had no choice but to carry two large suitcases and two carry-on bags down three flights of stairs by myself. What disappointed us even more was that there was no follow-up from the property after we checked in. No one asked whether we had managed or offered any assistance. Even the guests staying next to our unit commented that they were surprised and disappointed by the lack of lift access. Finally, we specifically paid extra for a lake-view room, but the view was only partial, with a significant portion blocked by trees. Overall, while the apartment itself was acceptable, the lack of transparency about the access, the poor customer service, and the misleading lake-view description made this stay far below our expectations. I hope the property will clearly disclose the stair-only access on its booking page so future guests—especially elderly travellers or those with mobility issues—can make an informed decision.

This is a spacious villa to stay in with a great layout. There is a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom, so you don’t feel like you’re in a tiny room the whole time. The bed is king sized and comfortable. The bathroom has heated floors, heated towel rack, and a heater to keep you warm while showering in the very cold winter. There is also a convenient washer and dryer which work well and allow you to wash your clothes during your stay. The view is also phenomenal.

This is a self service accomodation. You’re sent a message ahead of time telling you where to park, which villa you’re staying in, and how to locate the key. There are no reception staff on site for assistance, only a number to call for help. There is no daily cleaning service, not even a mid stay clean (we stayed 9 nights). We had to go down 4 flights of stairs from our car to our room with all of our luggage, with no lifts, not even a bag only lift available. You cannot call a hotel 5 star when this is what you get. 5 star is luxury, it’s service. There was none of this. The TVs don’t allow streaming services/ didn’t work during our stay. The bath/shower combo also has really low pressure and is quite narrow. You have to choose between water on the front or the back of your body, and then rotate. If you’re looking for a spacious place with a great view and average appliances, this is a great option. If you’re looking for luxury and service, go elsewhere. When we booked we were advised that the fireplaces were not working and needed replacing. That’s okay, these things happen, but the replacement heater was an oil heater. If you’re familiar with these, you need to stand right next to it to get any warmth. The place was freezing as we were there in winter, and it was quite uncomfortable. Better heater options were available at local shops for $50-$80, so this just felt lazy and like they didn’t care about customer comfort. One side of our electric blanket on the bed was also broken. Again, this happens, but it is something that should be tested as part of the pre check in prep. Lastly, on the day we were checking out, construction started outside our room. Not outside the hotel, directly outside our room. We had until 10am to check out, but construction started at 7:30am, making our final morning quite unpleasant.

The apartment was clean and cosy. The views were absolutely stunning and the location was perfect close enough to Queenstown main town while still being peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

There wasn’t much to dislike. The only minor downside was that the water pressure was very low for us and the pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Would also been good to have a cleaner during our 2 week stay

We stayed here a few years ago and in comparison this time the rooms felt a bit tired, could do with a bit of a freshen up.

Had a good experience staying here with all amenities provided. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms are ok. Great views of the lake and a reasonable location that was an easy walk into town (about 20-30mins). Ubers easily accessible for when we didn’t want to walk to/from town.

Narrow stairs some may consider difficult to navigate with large suitcases. Bathrooms ok but a refresh on the showerhead and also had a very sticky en-suite door that was very difficult to open once shut.

It would have been nice if the lounge heater wasn't broken, was looking for the ambiance. Also someone put the fridge temperature up high so couldn't have a coffee in the morning as the milk was frozen solid!

The location was ideal, close to the city and convenient for getting around. The administration team was very responsive and supportive, which made the overall experience seamless. One of the highlights was definitely the beautiful views, which added an extra touch to our stay. Overall, a highly recommended place for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a great atmosphere.

Lovely view from the bedroom and living room. Spacious apartment located just a few mins drive from queenstown centre.

- The water pressure is very weak and takes a long time for the hot water to boil. - No instructions for the washing machine and dryer. - Hairdryer wasn’t working properly at first but luckily the host arranged a new one the next day. - Please note you have to go through some stairs as there is no accessible path.

Lovely view over the lake, sitting room and large bedroom with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. You can see the view from the bed. Very clean and modern.

The floor was sopping wet when we arrived (15 mins after earliest check in time) - puddles and soap everywhere on the hard floor. The floor was still damp 2 hrs later despite leaving both sliding doors fully open. There was a lovely gas fire in the room, but unfortunately it didn’t work. The hosts were unable to get it working during our 2 night stay. They did provide a tiny oil filled radiator as a replacement. When we went to bed, there was no window to open except the sliding doors, which didn’t feel safe, and no air conditioning. So we were too hot during the night. Also be aware there are a couple of flights of steep concrete stairs from the tiny car park down to the room.

The property was clean, well equipped and amazing views of the lake.

- Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The bedrooms are located below the living snd kitchen. Too many stairs to go down which was not made clear in their description of the property. - There is a terrible sewer smell outside the property. - The parking was too tight, had a hairpin bend to go to the property and you can hardly see the road while entering and exiting.

地理位置在皇后镇城区不到一点，坐揽湖边景色，去城区需要自己开车，走路的话还是不太行的。厨房设置很好，有提供油盐调味。房间很大，特别适合伙伴出行。

自驾车停车要上下一个大斜坡和大急弯，有点考验车技以及刹车油门的耐性。

部屋やキッチンの設備を全体的に整っていて、特別不便は感じませんでした。全体的に清潔感もあり、概ね快適に過ごせました。

バス停からやや離れているので、クイーンズタウンの中心部へ行き来するのに、少し歩きます。 食洗機の洗浄力が弱いのか、あまりきれいになりませんでした。 また、キッチンの空調から異様な匂いが漂う時間帯があり、一時的に匂いが気になりました。窓を開けたり、換気をすることにより改善しました。

Amazing views across the lake

We stayed in a 2 bedroom lake view room. The view is amazing.

Taking rubbish to the bins is difficult and bins should be provided near units 2 and 3. It's 67 stairs down to them then back up. Ensuite shower leaks onto the bathroom floor. Only 1 pot and 1 pan provided in kitchen otherwise well equipped.

The room was clean and very comfortable

I booked a lake front room. Don’t bother as you have to drag your bags down three flights of stairs. The view from the upstairs room would be much better. The whole property looks unloved and dirty on the outside. The rubbish area was full of overflowing rubbish. The stairs down to lake front are full of weeds. I probably wouldn’t stay again. The room was clean and comfortable . A wine glass was dirty with liquid in the bottom and lipstick from previous guest and only one champagne flute. We couldn’t get heater working but didn’t really need it as weather was superb.

Accomodation was lovely, with fully equiped kitchen, great bathroom, we had a fantastic view of the lake & mountains in a our lake front room.

Unfortunately the walking track along Lake Wakatipu was closed, (which was no fault of Villa del Lago's) the local council had closed it. Would have been nice to have been able to walk along. Otherwise less than a 5 minute drive into Queenstown.

We only needed to use two of the three bedrooms a both had wonderful views. Bathrooms had lovely fluffy towels. Top floor bedroom had no view and access to bathroom was two floors away.
