Beautiful gardens en facilities and lovely staff
The beach is beautiful but a little harder to access without shoes because of the rocks.
The property is well kept, especially the outdoor areas. Food was good, especially the breakfast,
Dark rooms. Staff at the reception well informed and forthcoming about information regarding activities
The cleanness, the restaurant and Bar facilities, the quietness in general and all the green palms.
No real beach The Powerhouse noises
Good size, room, friendly staff, buffet breakfast
Padlock to lock the door, delay in getting the laundry done
Location Food as well as staff
Nicobari Cottage were not up to mark as floors were very slippery and risky too
The resort doesn’t exactly have a private beach access. It was more like back waters. Whats mentioned in the website was lil misleading
Very clean and neat rooms , good location , plenty of dining options at various Restuarant’s inside the resort .
Facilities. Amenities cleanliness and friendly staff
Nothing
The location was very good, although you can't swim on the front beach, since there is a reef barrier.
The general impression from the staff behaviour and the policy of the hotel, is the general impression you get from the rural areas of India, that they are not interested in foreign tourism, only in domestic, hence the scornful attitude. Also, if you are a smoker, don't choose this hotel. In all the premises there are only two ashtrays and you are prohibited to smoke even in open spaces.
The restaurant staff and reception staff were very polite and welcoming. The food was delicious and well prepared. The resort’s outfield was beautiful, with lots of greenery that made the environment very relaxing and pleasant.
Unfortunately, the room stay was a very poor experience. The rooms were small, dark, and quite old, with very little ventilation. Cleanliness was also a concern, as the bedsheets and towels looked old and not well maintained. The AC was a major issue on the first day and caused a lot of inconvenience. However, Priyanka was very helpful and managed to get it replaced the next day, and I appreciate her effort. Despite that support, the overall room experience was disappointing.
The high tide bar staff were great and the onsite restaurant Bonova was amazing, the food was delicious and the live musician was a lovely addition. The breakfast spread was great with lots to choose from at the buffet as well as being able to order additional items from omelettes to dosas.
The size of the Nicobar cottage was smaller than expected with very limited storage. Also the hotel taxi prices were higher than expected and we found it cheaper to just flag an tuk tuk down from the roadside
Great Location....rooms are spacious....some staff ate brilliant... cafe food is super....diving center folks are awesome...front desk folks are courteous
Some staff shouldn't be in hospitality clearly....no 24 hour restaurant despite being a 5 star.. frequentl power outages with gaps to restore electricity....at least should have solar emergency lights as backup.
Wonderful pool area. Comfortable lounge chairs at the beach. Beautiful park, liked the information signs on the trees, like a botanical garden.
Bardzo dobrze usytuowany, zadbany obiekt z basenem i z wyjatkowo dobrze wyszkolona obsługa. Jedyny mankament to domki nicobari maja fatalne rozmieszczenie: łazienka na dole, sypialnia u gory
Loved the island Great diving with Dive India, up the road
We had a difficult stay. For others to enjoy better- advise is 1- book the ferry before the hotel. We hadvto cancel our last night because the morning ferry was fully booked. The hotel only supports with booking car th docks, not with ferry booking 2- book with the cancellation option. Things change with teavel plans in India, due to weather and other stuff. Best to have cancellation option. We did not, and tho wd cancelled over a week before, we had to pay full cost of the night we tried to cancel 3- be clear about housekeeping request. We were told that if we wanted the room cleaned and madeup, we should leave the key in reception when we went out. We did this and the room was not cleaned and hen we left the key one evening at 7pm, specifically asking and they came to do the room at 930 when we had retired, and again we left they key with reception at 6am and asked the following day, and room was not done when we returned at 530pm. It was finally done on our 4th and final evening. But with prompting and we still had to ask for more toilet paper. 4,- don't expect much from customer service managers - we asked to speak to managers about the cancellation and had no reply, we also complained about lack of room cleaning and had no reply at first until a couple of days later I messaged again to note that this would impact on review. They did then investigate about room cleaning, apologised and noted that it was confusing because we went out early and returned late (we were diving and on the beach!) Oh - and to note - there is a lovely seafront but beach is not a swimming beach. Best beach is other side of the island. Easy bus or tuktuk
Well organised layout, tasty food, helpful staff, cleanliness and location
Incroyable .... Très belle expérience
Rien
What an amazing hotel, without a doubt one of the best I have ever experienced. The staff were so good it was a great break, the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated and the grounds were like a tropical greenhouse, just amazing and I couldn't recommend it.
Nothing to dislike any where
Near to ferry and other restaurants. Good pool. Good breakfast option.
My unit had bathroom at bottom floor, so it was not great design for comfort. Somewhat higher priced. Staff was not very responsive - you had to make multiple reminders.
Bella ma senza spiaggia e di notte non hanno saputo trovarci né taxi né darci una luce per camminare al buio
Prezzi spropositati rispetto a tutti gli altri posti
Very beautiful green, cottages are very comfortable, breakfast and the resturant are very nice.
1. Location - the beach is rocky and can’t go there also 2. The activity centre needs to rethink - they charge (quite a reasonable sum) for their activities and when you get ready they say transportation to the activity site is not included- why all this at the end; they send so many messages nowhere does this gets mentioned
The resort was very beautiful and we were buoyed staying there.
It was a bit pricey. Internet worked for 2 days and didn’t work for 2 days.
The rooms and swimming pool were lovely. The staff were super helpful, Rabin arranged an alternative Hotel in Port Blair when we missed our ferry, along with all the taxis, no easy task given there were 6 of us. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good, my only suggestion would be to improve the coffee, I don't like instant coffee and there was no fresh coffee available. The island is incredibly friendly, nobody trying to sell you anything or any type of hassle. Was one of the most peaceful holidays we have had in Asia. We will visit the Andaman Islands again.
The WIFI was completely weather dependent, not sure that is in the hotels control. There is also a generator close to the hotel and we were lucky we could change rooms to get away from the noise. It's not the hotel's generator, so again not much they can do about it.
Bungalows confortevoli distribuiti intorno a un bel giardino con piscina e accesso al mare , anche se la spiaggia non è ben usufruibile perché con bassa marea affiorano pietre taglienti.
Good location and excellent service.
Sembrava di stare a bali, meraviglioso sto albergo molto bello esotico, rilassante, tutto quello che cerchi per staccare dalla quotidianità lo trovi lì. Ritornerò
It was great
Nothing
We celebrated birthday here and it was heavenly. This resort is such a hidden gem - 10/10
Cleanliness and location
Morning breakfast spread was limited
Staff knocked on our door when we had do not disturb on, pool was dirty, beach was not as described, hairdryer was broken, room was dark and stairs precarious. Breakfast was average and provided coffee sachets rather than proper coffee. Location was good and trips were fun.
Very good property
Ground floor rooms had privacy issues. Need to keep curtains closed at all times. Needs to have plants in front so as they would form a barrier from the pathway
Outstanding hospitality by every member we interacted with, right from the reception to the wonderful people who served us, the marine biologist, the chef and the singer at the cafe. Very appreciative of the prompt response and kindness that we experienced.
Very helpful staff. Good breakfast and food. Good bar. A lot of greenery. Good beach area for relaxation and walking.
Little bit crowded. Too many villas/rooms, close to pathways. More chairs could be provided near beach and in lawns.
Beautiful resort which is very well maintained and staff is very friendly!
The staff are friendly and smiling, and always willing to help the customers in case of problems. The huge garden is beautiful...the nicest of the island for sure. This is a true infinity pool, the nicest of our stay in India.
This is THE disappointment of our stay in Andaman 😒. The biggest black point is the location of the hotel which is right next to a kind of power plant that is very very very very noisy day and night!!! For what we pay (especially for the expensive bungalows), we expect something else... We had bed bugs in our bungalows (we had to move to another bungalow...), my wife was bitten by the bed bugs numerous times. The prices in this hotel (very expensive in view of all the problems listed above), the water activities are expensive for what is offered. The rocky beach which is not very clean and has a lot of waste/plastic bottles.
liked the location of the hotel close to Jetty and good accessibility for the transport
breakfast was good. pool was good.
i was expecting the beach to be free from rocks so that we can enjoy the beach
The Andaman Chalet itself but it is only suitable for a max of 2 people.
The Beach. It is not the property's fault at all as it is located on a naturally occurring rocky beach and the hotel has done its absolute best to ensure guests are able enjoy the beach despite the location.
The property itself and taste of food.
Overpriced
Beautifull hotel among green palms and awesome andamands nature.
One BIG disadvantage is power plant in the neibourhood with noisy disel generator, that completely devastate atmosphere with 24/7 tr-tr-tr sound. I don't think this hotel was initially designed to be located near such a noisy industrial place, but this is main and huge disadvantage and unfortunately there is seems no solution, except live music in the bar to hide this noise.
Everything
Noise from local power station
Location next to beach , food , staff behaviour was excellent
Beds and Bathroom could have been better
Rooms were large and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to the ferry terminal. Restaurants very good, had a great choice of food.
We were in 211. It was very noisey due to the power unit being next door. Was not very relaxing around the pool with this noise all the time. Needed more pool loungers.
Beautiful!
The location is really good..provides perfect photo op throughout the day. The property is also very well maintained and the staff takes real good care. The pool is also very nice and can be utilised by the whole family. Highly recommended for family vacations.
Some more activities can be added for families that have kids below 12 who cannot go diving. Table tennis, carrom boards etc can be considered.
Breakfast was nice but a some variation would be welcome. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. There is no beach in the hotel property. Some mangrove and small stretch of sand, what you may refer to as beach during high tide. Room was a bit cluttered up, with just one Table for tea/coffee making. Curtains could be better quality.
The reception area could be made made more comfortable wit fans and air-condition in the hot climate even in late December. Guest need to checkout at 10am and need to wait for long hors. For example our 12 noon ferry to Port Blair was cancelled. Next ferry at 4pm. We had to wait at the resort for along time..
The experience here has been extremely mediocre. Sadly, expectations aren’t met if one is looking for a fine stay and dining experience at all. Cottages are the most infuriating with supremely narrow steps leading to a dimly lit bedroom on the first floor and a basic bathroom on the ground floor. There is always a risk of slipping and missing foot when one is not conscious. Even the staff falls down these flight of stairs with trays and luggage. Don’t know what the architect and owners were thinking. The team needs to learn to smile and interact more and in a proper fashion. The girls at reception desk are grim faced once check-in is done. Food is mere average, so the chefs require some brushing up of skills. If one is looking for a beach experience, this isn’t the place as the rocky beach front only provides access to scuba and snorkel. A huge shout out and the only best part about Coral Cove is the Skuba team led by Nigel and Andy and their warm, brilliant, and skilled team of instructors. They will be fondly remembered and we would dive into the sea again only with them. A thank you to Michael as well for a great kayaking experience. In a nutshell, Coral Cove is nothing but an average hotel and which does not meet any expectations.
Grumpy Staff at the reception, Nicobari Cottage( stairs are precarious), no beach, dimly lit, average food
the ambience, greenery, layout, cleanliness, maintenance
breakfast spread could have been more continental
Close to jetty . Claimed to be near a private beach but that was actually a shore used for diving boats etc rather than a Sandy beach for bathing / relaxing . Staff are helpful and courteous. We did a couple dinner which was awesome.
General condition not good . Rooms need a refurbishment . There was some mould on the shower ceiling . Hot water was scanty and used to run out after 4-5 minute of use . We spotted a snake in the resort garden area ( did report it to the staff , who seemed casual about it - I suppose it is a common occurrence considering the overall climate of the place ). Wi-Fi available but very erratic and slow . Frequent power cuts - but backup generator seemed to work ok . Payment system was very cumbersome - instead of simply taking the payment from the credit card on file , the resort has a policy of sending payment demand by SMS few weeks before the date of arrival .. paid using my card using the link provided but was unsure about its validity as it had come out of the blue .
The place is vast and lush, surrounded by a beautiful coconut grove and a mangrove-lined beach. The staff is courteous, and the service is exceptional. The in-house restaurant stands out as one of the fanciest in Havelock. They offer a range of activities, including a marine trail, scuba diving, and trekking. We tried the marine trail and scuba diving—while not cheap, both were absolutely worth it. Surprisingly, the lobster here was priced similarly to roadside eateries in Havelock, even though the rest of the menu is quite expensive.
The entire property, including the rooms, is very dimly lit. While some may find this ambiance appealing, I personally found it a bit annoying. The breakfast spread is good, but after a couple of days, it starts to feel repetitive and monotonous.
The ambience and the private beach
The lighting in the resort as well as the rooms were too dim. At least the lighting in the rooms should be improved even if the same is not done outside to preserve the wild life
Room was clean and well located, Size was good, Could do better with a few more amenities.
The property is set on a big, very well maintained piece of lush green land. The view from its beach is beautiful. The 2 restaurants on the property serve tasty food. The staff are very courteous and go beyond their remit to make guests feel special, especially those in the restaurants.
Both the rooms that I had booked had very mouldy/ damp smell. It was so bad that I couldn’t sleep on the 1st night. The bedding was changed upon complaint, which reduced the smell to an extent but not completely. I caught a very bad cold at the property (which I am still suffering from), and suspect it is due to the damp in the room.
I had a wonderful experience from the start - literally from the moment I stepped out of my taxi! As a solo female traveller with some specific dietary needs (I'm coeliac and vegan), I was amazed when the manager Karishma AND the chef came out to personally greet me! After my tiring journey, they sat me down and offered me fresh coconut water straight from one of the resort's own trees - such a lovely touch! Karishma and the chef then carefully went through everything I could and couldn't eat, making sure I'd feel totally comfortable during my stay. Throughout my time there, I was so touched by how Karishma guided the team to look after me. Being aware I was travelling alone, she also regularly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. She struck that perfect balance of being both professional and incredibly kind. The resort itself is truly one of a kind and the food and accommodation is wonderful, but it's this level of personal care that really sets it apart. I would strongly recommend it to anyone, but especially solo female travellers or those with dietary requirements - you'll be in the best hands!
Property maintenance including rooms. Staff are very polite and gentle. Foods are awesome.
All are good
Great place to stay on Havelock. Very courteous service, clean rooms and good food.
Wi-Fi issues was there with expiring voucher codes, more frequent than 24 hrs as mentioned by them
Food was fantastic, room lighting looks old and need more lighting, most od the staff had been courteous leaving their manager who had to be reminded to be polite and not arrogant near pool side
Delicious Food n helpful staff. Property located nearby to pier, beach is not great. Lighting is dim and need upgradation, pricing looks over priced for the facilities, Was very disappointed with the rude n arrogant behaviour of manager met near pool side
Property was good and vast, very near to every location ,pool was well maintained, very good for leisure stay
Smoking and drinking is prohibited in your own room which is a major drawback, infact u can't even order food to your room ,you have to go to dining area for breakfast ...reception was a bit delayed,..and while check out they may ask for charges for eateries from your mini bar which you didn't consume, dat I faced...
The location
No proper channels in Tv . Need smart tv in the room
Excellent
We missed an iron box in the room.Room was very congested.
A perfect stay with serene view of beach, clean open beach facing swimming pool with aesthetic rooms. Must say it is an ideal destination for tropical vacation with in house spa and scuba diving.
1.) Staff at the pool tried to sell their swimming costume and were not allowing me to enter the pool even though I was wearing my own swimming costume. They told me i was wearing a cotton outfit which was not allowed, but my swimming clothes were not made up of cotton. 2.) The hotel is located in such a locality near the beach and surrounded by trees which invites a lot of insects in your room. They try to control insect infestation by regularly spraying insecticides and applying various methods, but carry anti allergic medications with you for precaution. 3.) Internet connectivity was a problem as they only provide with 1gb data for the visitors, you can ask for more data but it makes uneasy for the visitor to ask for data top-up after every 1gb 4.) NO GYM
The staff ,pool area , spa and the location
Telecom was not working , WiFi had a problem had to re-login again and again.

What guests love
Areas to consider
Cleanliness
8/10Generally described as clean and neat in several reviews, though some guests noted worn bedsheets/towels and occasional cleanliness concerns in rooms.
Service
9.1/10Multiple mentions of polite, helpful reception and restaurant staff (Priyanka called out for resolving AC issue); some staff inconsistencies noted but overall service is frequently praised.
Location
8.5/10Loved for grounds, greenery and setting; good location overall but several guests noted no real private/swimmable beach and a reef barrier limiting beachfront swimming.
Room Quality
7.2/10Repeated complaints about small, dark, older rooms, limited storage in cottages, poor ventilation and AC issues, making room quality a weaker point.
Amenities
9.1/10Strong amenities cited: pool, multiple restaurants/bars, diving center, botanical garden-like grounds and lounge chairs; some operational issues (power outages, no 24h restaurant) but overall amenities are a highlight.
Value for Money
7/10Several guests explicitly said the stay did not live up to the price paid and that marketing (beach access) was misleading, reducing perceived value.
Food and Beverage
9.4/10Consistently praised: excellent breakfast buffet, high-quality on-site restaurants (Bonova mentioned), good cafe and bar offerings; food and F&B service are standout positives.
Overall Experience
8.9/10Overall a pleasant stay for many due to grounds, food and staff, but dampened for some by room issues, beach expectations and occasional staff attitude/policy concerns.
