Property is decent but priced too high as compared to the facilities available
The management is very slow and poor in terms of arranging small things like cab and even providing room as per infant ease. However, the serving staff was fantastic though and bartender did a fabulous job with limited resources.
I was delighted when I first entered the property and was impressed by its infrastructure and location. However, to my utter surprise, I was taken aback by the extremely poor service I experienced during my four-day stay at your premises. There appeared to be a lack of adequate staff and a clear absence of proactive problem-solving when issues were reported. On several occasions, I had to request room cleaning and bathroom essentials nearly five times before any action was taken. At one point, I even had to inform your team that if no one was sent, I would have to come to the reception myself. Additionally, basic food service was unavailable at night. We were informed that there was no chef available, which was quite surprising for a resort that positions itself as a five-star property, especially considering the amount being charged for the stay. I was further astonished when we ordered food at 11:00 AM and were told that the chef was unavailable because breakfast service had just ended and food would only be available again at 1:30 PM. The response was so unexpected that it was difficult to take seriously. Overall, the experience did not match the expectations set by the property’s otherwise impressive infrastructure. Based on my experience, I would not recommend others to book their stay here, as they may face the same lack of responsiveness and service.
Extremely disappointing experience at Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock. The service was poor and the staff was unhelpful and indifferent, showing little sense of basic hospitality. What was most frustrating was that at 11:30 in the morning there was no food available, which is unacceptable for a resort that claims to offer premium service. Instead of assisting or offering alternatives, the staff seemed unwilling to help. Overall, the stay was frustrating and far below expectations. Definitely not the level of service one would expect from a resort of this category.
Very disappointing experience at Coral Reef Resort & Spa Havelock. The service was extremely poor and the staff was not accommodating at all. Basic hospitality was missing. At 11:30 in the morning there was no food available, which is ridiculous for a resort that claims to provide premium service. Instead of helping, the staff seemed indifferent and unwilling to assist. Overall, the stay was frustrating and far from what we expected.
We went in a group of 11 and booked three partial beach view rooms two pool , and while the location of the hotel is good, rooms are okay and the private beach is pretty, the hospitality and service leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel was unable to serve food at 11:30 am, room service was almost completely absent and whenever we had to get towels/glasses/water etc, after waiting for the longest time possible, we finally had to get it ourselves. On top of all that, in room no 122, where someone from our group was staying, had no telephone at all and ordering anything was a nightmare. There was no intimation of the last order (we had assumed there would be round the clock service considering the tariffs) and on day one when we were told at 10:15 that the last last order was 10pm and hence no food could be served, not even dal chawal, we ordered on time the next day only to be told that the chef had already left at 9:30pm! Overall the experience could have been much better had the staff put in a little more effort in making our stay more pleasant rather than being indifferent.
Rooms are good and spacious (pool view). Located nicely near to the marketplace and direct access to the beach. The food is decent. But the room service was pathetic. They took a minimum of half an hour to provide anything in the room, and that too after several reminders. Plus, the most negative point they have is no night dining menu. A basic 5-6 option food menu is even sufficient, but they do not provide anything after 10 pm. Not even glasses, basic cuttlery, and ice boxes in the room.
Service and the staff specially at the reception really poor. Bedsheets were not clean had to get them changed . After many calls they did change. You need to give them several reminders for any thing you need. Food average. Location of the hotel is good. Property is decent.
I stayed at Coral Reef, Havelock from 23rd to 24th January, paying ₹15,000 for one night (double occupancy). I understand this was peak season, and the usual price is around ₹10,000 + taxes. However, even at regular pricing, this property is not worth it( you wouldn't want to pay even a penny hearing the incidents that took place :) )mainly due to very poor cleanliness and hygiene. Upon entering the room, one pillow had visible stains. We chose to ignore it, assuming it was an isolated oversight. Later, we noticed dead bees in the room, which clearly indicated insufficient housekeeping. The most disturbing incident was with an extra blanket we requested. We were tired and went to sleep, only to wake up to a foul smell. On checking, we found dried blood stains on the underside of the blanket. It was extremely unpleasant to realise we had slept using an unclean blanket. Additionally, the minibar fridge wasn’t working initially and required repair, and the electric kettle provided had an incompatible plug. These were smaller issues, but when combined with the hygiene problems, they made the stay very uncomfortable. Trust me Havelock has many better accommodation options at similar or slightly higher prices with far superior standards. I made a mistake, requesting you to not make the same. Would strongly not recommend unless you’re okay compromising on hygiene.
*Terrible Experience at Coral Reef Resort* I stay at 122 room no coral Azura. I'm still frowning thinking about my disastrous stay at Coral Reef Resort. From the moment I checked in, I knew something was off. The staff's service was absolutely pathetic! Not a single smile or welcoming vibe, just a meh attitude 🤷♀️. Things went downhill from there. The room was a nightmare. I walked in and found a cockroach chilling in the bed, and another one scrapping around the bathroom 😱. But wait, it gets better. I spotted one in the Ocean Prime restaurant too! When I reported this to the staff, their response? A casual "Oh, is it?" 🙄. Like, seriously?! After 10 minutes, they 'cleaned' the room, but I'm pretty sure they just swept the dead cockroach under the rug 🐜. The cleanliness (or lack thereof) was a running theme. The bathroom was a mess – dirty shower area, clogged drain, and two drawers below the basin filled with stagnant water 🛀. And guess what? The stinking smell wafted into our room for a solid hour. Not exactly what I paid for, right? 😷 And if all this wasn't enough, I found a whole in the bedsheet. Like, what even is that?! 🤯 Needless to say, I won't be recommending Coral Reef Resort to anyone. If you value your sanity (and don't want creepy crawlies sharing your bed 😅), steer clear of this dump. 1/5 stars, and that's being generous 🙅.
Very kind and nice staff. We were served by Depa and Mignma. They gave very nice service and we appreciated it a lot in the coffe shop
The pool and spa facilities are very good . The food variety and taste is fresh and nice .
Many stray dogs loitering on the resort beach area and even violently roaming inside the resort .
Our stay at Coral Reef Resort was extremely disappointing and nowhere close to what is advertised as a 5-star experience. From the start, the room was clearly not ready for guests, with missing basic essentials, a leaking shower, a torn bedsheet, and a safety locker that did not work. Even after repeatedly raising these issues, there was no proper resolution and basic necessities required daily follow-ups, which is unacceptable at this price point. The housekeeping and front-desk staff were largely unresponsive, defensive, and appeared poorly trained, with a complete lack of warmth or hospitality. Calls to reception often went unanswered, including during an emergency while we were out, and even the manager did not respond despite multiple attempts. Loud music played near the pool late into the night disrupted sleep, defeating the purpose of staying at a resort. The beach is very small and filled with corals, making it unsuitable for swimming, which is not clearly communicated. Checkout was equally frustrating — despite clearing the bill in advance, no final bill copy was provided and we were unnecessarily stopped again for payment, reflecting inefficient front-desk operations. We also witnessed and heard several other guests complaining about similar issues, making it clear that these problems are systemic and not isolated. Overall, this is an overpriced property with misleading 5-star claims, poor service standards, and very little accountability. Definitely not recommended.
Good location and nice beach at the back side
Housekeeping needs improvement
Great restaurant with lovely live music by NUNPII. Ambience - 5/5 Live Music - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 4/5 However the priceing on food is bit higher but worth visiting
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent service by Holiday Treasure Pvt. Ltd. The entire team is very professional and supportive. From booking to pick-up and drop arrangements, everything was smooth and well managed. The team guided us superbly at all three locations—Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil Island. The pricing was also very competitive compared to MakeMyTrip, offering great value for money. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended for a hassle-free trip.
beach is nice and walking distance to beautiful beach
Staff were not kind or hospitable. It is an ok resort not more than that
We stayed at Coral Reef Resort for our honeymoon and had such a lovely experience. The staff were super polite and always there when we needed anything. The private beach access was so so amazing. We also joined the forest trek and intertidal walk with the “Native settlers” Prathamesh, Mridul and Will — the forest trek was a great early morning experience, and although the intertidal walk was a bit late in the evening and hurried up, it was still nice. Overall, a really memorable stay! 🌴💙
Excellent stay at a prime location with direct beach access. The rooms were cozy and tidy, and the staff provided great hospitality (special mention to Mr. Nishith & Sujoy). Highlights include the amazing food, the poolside bar setup for evenings, and the highly recommended, affordable Spa. The resort also offers great activities, 💯 percent recommended. Waterfall trek was skipped as we have a little kid with us, but the early morning forest trek guided by experienced Naturalists team, Mridul and Will was a truly wonderful experience, the secluded beach they took us was cherry on top. . One must visit this property for sure.
Coral reef resort has one of the best private beach in havelock. So near and clean property. Staff's are very helpful and calm especially front office staff. They welcomed us with a smile. Singer was melodious and amazing. Over all we experienced refreshing snd happy holidays. Will definitely look forward to visit this beautiful and outstanding resort 😊
Just one word for this beautiful and fantastic resort — WOW! I truly feel that choosing to stay here was one of the best decisions of my life. The staff were incredibly cooperative, helpful, and friendly, and the beach was spotless and serene. The live singing by the pool created the perfect vibe — a dreamy combination that made our stay unforgettable. We’re leaving with hearts full of joy and memories we’ll cherish forever. We absolutely loved it! 😁
Location was very good. Everything is nearby. And the atmosphere, staff behaviour, cleanliness all good. With great views.
🌴 Pros - Beautiful beachfront location with lovely views. Plus lots of cute hermit crabs on the beach (we also saw a sea snake late at night, cool but sure it was a rare occasion). - Multiple pools to enjoy and relax by. - Modern, stylish rooms with thoughtful touches like a bath, kettle, and balcony/terrace. Plus the bed is really comfy. - Friendly staff: some went above and beyond to fix issues quickly (special shout-out to the “spicy cheesy fries vs non-spice request” rescue squad!). - Good food overall, with nice variety and pleasant dinner service. ⚖️ Cons / Areas for Improvement - Communication could be clearer: Some requests were only partly fulfilled or misunderstood. - Housekeeping delays: Rooms sometimes not serviced by mid-afternoon; small details (like tea stirrers and robes) were overlooked. Coming back to your room at 3pm without your room made up is not giving 5*. - Special occasions need more care: Our candlelight dinner (for our engagement!) was almost cancelled due to rain concerns and miscommunicationm. Even though my partner cancelled the candlelit dinner on the Monday, they put the decorations up anyway. Then they took them down the next day on the Tuesday. Then it rained in the afternoon. It stopped for a bit around 5pm. Despite the fact the weather was set to be clear in the evening, reception called us 90 minutes before the dinner was supposed to happen and said it was cancelled. But the excuse given was not that it might rain later; the excuse given was ‘we haven’t had time after the rain finished to put the decorations up so we won’t be able to’. By that point the rain had stopped and there was enough time to prepare the table - a full hour bare minimum. And on my weather app, the weather was set to be pretty clear. I even checked the precipitation map on my phone and I literally could see the giant rain cloud leaving the area fully between 8-10pm. But from the vibe of the phone call, it very much felt like ‘we took the decorations down this morning because we mistakenly put them up last night and now we can’t be bothered to do it again’. I had just got engaged so I wasn’t going to have someone tell me I can’t have my special dining experience because they can’t be bothered! We went to reception to ask what was going on. The same ‘we haven’t had time to prepare the table’ argument came up as well as ‘it could rain again’. I was confused because it was an hour away from the dinner time so I said something similar to ‘surely the table could be set up in that time?’ ‘It’s not raining now soooo….’ When the other manager piped up that it could rain again, I’d had enough. I just said ‘I’m British, I’m used to the rain. If it rains, it rains, you adapt. I don’t care.’ After I said this they seemed to run out of excuses and seemed to get things rolling. When one manager asked me if we’re celebrating something special and I held up my hand and said ‘yes, we just got engaged’, she seemed really surprised. How could you be? Surely if someone orders a candlelit dinner, it’s a special occasion…like an engagement, a honeymoon dinner, anniversary…aka. an event you need to give special attention to, an event that is not about you! It felt like our candlelit dinner was being treated like any normal dinner, and it really put a sour taste in my mouth. Surely management would want to know what the occasion is? Maybe prioritise that dinner because it’s clearly important!? When I asked if there was an indoor option for the dinner that my partner spent a lot of money on, the same surprised manager said ‘you can have dinner inside, but there’d be no decoration.’ So just a normal dinner then, okay. On a tropical island where it frequently rains, they really do need an indoor candlelit dinner option - what if it rains all week, a couple have to get engaged anyway…and they don’t get a nice candlelit dinner they’ve planned for because of normal weather on the island? There seemed to be a lack of creativity, thinking outside the box and going the extra mile in this candlelit dinner situation. And ultimately I didn’t feel special from the outset, which is the whole point. People should feel special! The dinner (that wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for me pushing for it and showing my engagement ring) was nice in the end but having to literally fight for it made it less special. If people have ordered a candlelit dinner, read the room: it’s probably a special occasion, so go the extra mile! Also cancelling something because it ‘might’ rain on a tropical island is just silly. Let the couple decide what they want to do. Or better, get a bigger canopy. Or come up with an indoor option. The other thing that was weird was once we had pushed for the dinner and the staff were preparing the canopy and table, we got a call from the kitchen asking about what we wanted to eat and drink. I hadn’t even thought about it. Then I was being pressured to decide in five seconds. I had a feeling it was to save the kitchen time later. But we were paying the extra money to have table service and our food cooked fresh; not made an hour early and kept warm. That added to the poor experience prior to the dinner. All together, the approach to our once-in-a-lifetime candlelit engagement dinner was poor. We felt like a burden to the staff rather than a guest paying decent money for a luxury experience. I don’t believe the customer is always right, but I do believe it’s all about the guest in a 5* hotel. Don’t try to cut corners and affect the guest experience so you can have an easier day. It’s obvious what you’re doing, and it shows. Because of this experience, I can’t give 5/5. If the candlelit dinner had been handled better, I would’ve given 5/5. - Half-board confusion: The menu and meal-plan rules weren’t clearly explained. Clarifying what’s included (and adding soft drinks into the deal) would avoid confusion. Simplify the menus and meal plans. It seems like there’s no rules at all; if that’s the case, get rid of the ‘set menus’. On one night, we were given one set menu, then when we wanted to get dessert we asked for the menu and were given a different one with different meals on it. When we asked staff about the meal options, they said the set menu was more like a template and you could ask for what you wanted. This made me feel like I had been missing out because I’d been sticking to the set menu! I saw brownie or ice cream on the menu and chose one of them; I didn’t know that I could have tiramisu or chocolate fondant! Breakfast: Compared to other 4* and 5* hotels, the breakfast is poor. This feels more 3★ than 5★. Limited Western options, and it wasn’t obvious we could order custom eggs or fresh drinks. More variety and table service would make mornings more enjoyable. It seemed that if I asked for something, I’d get it. But the trouble is, this is not clear. You need to tell guests what their options are, otherwise how can they know?! It would be great to be offered fresh tea or coffee by waiting staff when you sit down (there are a lot of staff so this is possible), and it would also be good to be offered fresh customised eggs (scrambled, fried, omelette, etc.) The offerings in the buffet were 99% Indian. The only Western thing was pancakes and boiled eggs every day, no variation. They could vary this (one day waffles and boiled eggs, another day pancakes and scrambled eggs, etc.) But tbh even when I learnt I could order eggs and asked for scrambled eggs, the eggs I received were really overcooked and rubbery, so not great. And don’t get me wrong, I love Indian food but I don’t want it for breakfast, so it would be great to have better western, continental options. So yeah, if there was more personal service at breakfast and higher quality food, it’d be way better. It’s a stark contrast to the personal service you get at dinner. I actually dreaded breakfast by day 4. Was not good at all. Outdoor areas: The beachfront garden could use some TLC and more comfortable loungers. A few aesthetic upgrades would make it feel more luxurious. Especially considering this is in the way of the beach view from some hotel rooms and is used for the candlelit dinner. When this area is tidied up, it could be such a pretty, inviting and useful space…I imagine lots of outdoor furniture, a fountain or even another pool, hot tub…cushioned loungers…a love heart structure made of driftwood and shells…it could be soooo good! Amenities: We could have done with more than one towel per person. It would have been nice to have bath salts in the bathroom to be used in the bath. Our bathrobes were sometimes not replaced when taken by housekeeping. TV channels were outdated and limited and screen mirroring only works for Samsung. No on-site laundry (outsourced, cash-only, and one item was damaged). My boyfriend was pressured to go to an ATM to get 100 rupees - in the end, again, we pushed them to accept a payment by card or UPI but they were really pushing for the more complicated option at first. When I got my clothes back, two of them had stains on them, which is just not acceptable for any hotel. I don’t know where you get laundry done, but you need to change it or, better, do it in-house like a 5* hotel should. Definitely stop using the vendor you have now. You should also be able to tell guests when they will get their laundry back. We were told ‘well they’re dried outside and if it rains…it could delay drying time’, etc. I get that it’s island life, but us guests have flights to catch and things to do. We need to know when a service can be done by. Over-attentiveness: We fancied a change and wanted to try some fresh seafood (when on a tropical island, you have to!), so we went down the road to a great seafood restaurant. Staff must’ve realised we hadn’t checked in for dinner twice in a row, so they called us while we were at dinner outside. I don’t think this call was necessary because it felt a tad like we were being babysat. We’re adults, we know when dinner time is at the restaurant, if we want to have dinner at the hotel, we’ll be there. Put that attentiveness elsewhere…like special occasion dinners. I’m surprised we didn’t get anything special when I mentioned that we just got engaged. It would’ve been a nice touch to get a free drink at the bar one of the days or a little congratulatory cake in our room, petals on the bed or something like that. Something small to make us feel special would really have made us feel less sour about the poorly organised candlelit dinner. 💬 Overall Impression It’s a beautiful resort with a solid 5★ foundation. Staff are friendly, the location is stunning, the rooms are modern and clean, the pools are lovely…But if they pay more special attention to guests and improve some of the amenities and features of the hotel, it would be 5*.
Property and location is good, nicely Decorated rooms
I want good service and good food too but staff was not found friendly and food was very bad in test and at the time of breakfast staff is not available even many items having no taste, even failed to refill at the time of complimentary breakfast.
Thanks to the resort for making me and my family special Pool was amazing, beach is something can't be missed Thacks to Nishit for giving wark welcome and making our stay special

We recently visited Havelock Island to celebrate my husband's birthday, and our stay at Coral Reef Resort made the experience truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Nishit at the reception. He greeted us with genuine hospitality and even considered our request for a room upgrade, which was a delightful surprise. The highlight of our stay was the candlelight birthday celebration arranged by the beachside in the evening. It was absolutely magical! A special thanks to Mr. Abhishek from the resort team for organizing it so wonderfully – every little detail was perfect and added to the charm of the celebration. The food at the resort deserves a special mention – it was delicious and flavorful. Whether it was the main course or desserts, everything was top-notch. The rooms are beautifully designed, equipped with modern amenities, and offer great comfort and luxury. The entire property is stunning – peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. We also want to appreciate the amazing hospitality of the staff members – Sinthoi, Paoming, Soham, Pasang, and Lalit – who made us feel right at home with their warm and attentive service. If you're planning a trip to Havelock, I highly recommend Coral Reef Resort – it’s a perfect blend of luxury, nature, and exceptional service. You can book this property without any doubt!
I have never seen such s beautiful resort. They have such a wonderful staff with good service and pool area is amazing Me an ny family would definitely recommend this fabulous and awesome resort
I had one night stay at coral reef, shower in washroom was not functioning properly. Even after complaining it to housekeeping they were convincing us that this is how it works. Switchboard were also faulty and that also they did not fixed. They were least interested in resolving customer queries. It is very bad in terms of sevice pathetic. Staff is so lazy and not at all interested to serve in good way. Do not go if you want to save your hard earn money. I wasted my whole day in just getting these things sorted. The only thing which they do is just greetings thats all they know.

The cafe was so gud.. the people here are so humble we feel great. I wish to mention that Miss. Pooja & Miss pemu such a sweet person.. we really had a great time that we can't forget ever in our lyf.. must visit if you visit havlock
I recently stayed at coral, the location is excellent, the service throughout my stay was very good what stood was the staffs, everyone I interacted was helpful and polite, especially Abisekh from reception, overall great location, God bless them
Breakfast was not included in our package but we did have and was good.
Wifi could have really been better. The island itself has little less network so this is important for people to contact.
I would give Coral Reef Resort 1 star because while the rooms were nice, the property clean, and some staff friendly, the actual service was shockingly poor. From the moment I arrived, my genuine request to shorten my stay by one day and get a refund was brushed off with robotic, unhelpful responses and no resolution. My room card never worked the entire time despite repeated complaints—such a basic issue and yet ignored. The food was overpriced and underwhelming (a seafood platter at nearly 2,700 rupees with taxes was unforgettable & tasted really unappetizing). On checkout, things were even worse: the reception staff were unhelpful, dismissive of our concerns, and more focused on forcing us to complete feedback forms or pushing alternate payment methods than actually solving problems like their broken card machine. Overall, this was the opposite of exceptional service, and I left highly disappointed
Overpriced, poorly managed, and full of service failures — avoid Coral Reef Resorts in Havelock & Port Blair. We stayed at Coral Reef Resort in both Havelock and Port Blair and, unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve ever had. Havelock Island Property We arrived after a long journey from Mumbai, only to be given a room with an air conditioner that started leaking heavily within minutes of being switched on. The in-room safe didn’t work either. It took the staff two hours to move us to another room, by which time we were completely exhausted. From there, it was one problem after another: • Housekeeping failed to clean the room even when we were out sightseeing, forcing us to wait 90 minutes on the balcony for a clean room. • Coffee, towels, and basic supplies were repeatedly missing. • The bathroom drawer had dead cockroaches and bugs — clearly neglected for weeks, if not months. • The TV didn’t work for days despite multiple complaints; when the technician finally came late at night, he explained that management hadn’t topped up the account. • Room service walked in without knocking. • Breakfast was repetitive and uninspired, with chicken sausages tossed in soy sauce as the only non-veg option. Staff told us openly that while the resort charges a 10% service charge on almost everything, none of it is shared with them. This disconnect between underpaid staff and management was obvious — staff blamed management for lack of support, and management blamed “poor quality staff on the island.” One night the pool bar bartender was loudly complaining about mistreatment in front of guests. We did get a late checkout on our last day, but even that was poorly handled. Moving to the new room for the extra hours took over an hour despite us being packed and ready. Getting the final bill took nearly three hours and multiple follow-ups — and they even tried to charge us ₹5,500 for a custom cake we never ordered. Port Blair Property If anything, this was worse. The entire floor was under painting work. The bathroom shower was clogged, and water leaked all over the floor. The property felt incomplete and unprofessional. Overall Across both properties, we noticed other unhappy guests — at least three families complained loudly in the lobby, one of them checking out early. The only meaningful “compensation” we received for a total bill of ₹65,000 for five days in Havelock was a ₹3,000 discount. Transport arranged through the hotel is also overpriced — double the rates available directly from the jetty or airport. Some individual staff members like Sujay (Front Desk), Pai (Manager), and Birendra tried within their limits to help, but without management’s support, they were powerless. The Director of Sales, Sanjay, acknowledged the problems but end of the day doesn’t care about customer needs and did absolutely nothing to improve our stay. Conclusion We will never stay at any Coral Reef Resort property again. They have a long way to go in basic hospitality, service quality, and management accountability. For the prices they charge, far better hotels are available in both Havelock and Port Blair.
One of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. In Havelock, our first room had a leaking AC and a broken safe. Housekeeping skipped our room entirely one day, the bathroom had dead cockroaches, the TV didn’t work all week, and basic supplies like coffee and towels were often missing. Staff openly complained about management, and service was slow, disorganized, and careless. Port Blair was even worse — the floor was under painting work, the shower was clogged and flooded the bathroom, and the property felt unfinished. Transport arranged by the hotel is overpriced (double local rates). We paid ₹65,000 for 5 days in Havelock and got just a ₹3,000 discount for all the issues. Many other guests were also visibly unhappy. Some individual staff tried to help, but management clearly doesn’t care. For the price, you’ll find far better hotels in both locations.
The resort itself comprises everything in it.all luxury is taken care of.the only aspect they can improve upon is their food preparation.
Food and it's way of preparation needs to improve
The sweetness of the staff, the emptiness of the swimming pool.
- The harassing management team, very bitter, very annoying! Even before I arrived, they harassed me through texts. They refused to heat up my food that came from outside (thought it was a hotel before being a restaurant!). And when I left, they take too long to provide me with a link to pay online (as I only have my card numbers and not a physical one, information they had from my arrival). Had to leave as I didn’t want to miss my ferry. They called 10 times! Once I was sitting in the ferry, I took my phone to make the paiement but didn’t see any links, and I look up to see one of the managers who came all the way to the ferry to harass me some more! - The way the staff is poorly treated! Bad working conditions and low salaries… no wonder no one stays for long! - The automatic lighting and fan in the toilet… what a bad idea! It turns on when I just walk by, sometimes on it’s on in the middle of the night… and turns off while I’m on the toilet or showering. - The very short sink, had to touch the bowl every time I was washing my hands. - The constant brightness of the light switches, had to put something in front to be able to sleep. - The very high % of taxes (19 instead of 5) in the restaurant, and of course, the prices doesn’t show this. It makes a very nasty surprise when the bill comes!
This is the best resort ever I have ever visited, was our first trip to Andaman Everything was just perfect Private beach ⛱️🏖️ was fantastic

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended at All! Our stay at Coral Reef Resort, Havelock was nothing short of a nightmare. Right from the start, the service was absolutely pathetic. The AC in the room wasn’t working, and even after multiple complaints, no one bothered to fix it. We had to spend our nights sweating in discomfort. On top of that, basic amenities like dental kits and shaving kits were not provided, which was shocking for a Resort that claims to be of decent standards. The restaurant service was equally terrible. Cutlery was never given unless we asked multiple times, and even then, the response was sluggish. They served the finger bowl ice cold – clearly, they have no understanding of basic dining etiquette. The room itself was in horrible condition. The bed had a spring poking out, making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance were far below expectations. This Resort completely spoiled our vacation. It’s highly mismanaged, poorly maintained, and customer service is almost non-existent. Avoid this Resort at all costs. Not recommended under any circumstances.
We stayed at the Coral Reef Resort for 7 nights. Rooms are very nicely designed. Service and staff was very friendly, accommodating and attentive for all services including the breakfast. The property and stay would have been fantastic, but there were some major downsides. We selected a better resort to enjoy a week away from air and noise pollution. Unfortunately, this hope was disappointed due to the following: - there were construction works ongoing throughout the entire week at both pools and next to the restaurant. Loud grinding work was done in all places, with intense noise and dust pollution. - Workers were present at all times, also at the beach where sand was removed for building purposes throughout all 7 days. There was no place to relax without being observed by workers. - Unfortunately, also the Andaman beaches are suffering from global plastic pollution. Plastic is washed upon the beautiful beaches on daily bases. It would have been nice, if at least the resort would cleaned off the plastic each day from their beach which was not the case. Under different circumstances, we would definitely recommend the coral reef resort. Like this, we had to escape the resort each day. We were not prior informed about the construction work and the offered compensation is not even worth mentioning.
The resort took 30 minutes to take luggage to the room. Service is absolutely shady, staff are thoroughly unprofessional and the reception guy, the most arrogant and pathetic. His only interest is fleecing the customer, and provide misleading photos on website. Imagin, I didn't get a spa appointment after waiting for 45 minutes at reception. They will charge you and exorbitant money while giving service like the hotel near Dadar station. If you still go ahead with your booking, be prepared to get a traumatic experience for life as you don't come to A&N island often
Sadly I'm writing this review while I'm staying here. The room category shown is pictures are different from what actual it is. Their highest category rooms fail to meet the basic standards. Service is pathetic. Luggage got delivered in the room after 40 mins. Supposedly a five star property with no towels or any amenities in the room. They have only one bottle opener in the resort. Taps are leaky and we kept asking for fixing it. The beach is really bad and you practically can't do anything here. There's no warmth and you feel cheated with the money paid. Also, the spa has only one person and you never get an appointment. Quite disgusted and very bad experience. I feel my holiday is ruined and money got wasted.
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable 2-night stay at Coral Reef Resort, Havelock. Should have booked a longer stay here! The resort isn’t a sprawling property, but it’s thoughtfully designed and has all the comforts you’d look for—two swimming pools, a spa, a dining hall, a bar, a private beach, and activities for both adults and children. The Sapphire room (Pool facing) was well-equipped, clean, well air-conditioned, with comfortable bedding. The hospitality was warm, prompt, and consistent throughout. The food was enjoyable, with a nice breakfast spread, and the Wi-Fi worked reasonably well for Havelock Island. Overall, the place offers a comfortable and calm experience—just what we needed. Some suggestions (just minor ideas to improve an already pleasant stay): - A bathing cubicle instead of just the bath tub; its easier and safer too! Bathtubs could be add-ons - Sound carries through wooden structures—we had a noisy upstairs guest one night, but the staff handled it well. - A few quieter rooms for couples/solo travellers, fans near the beach, and mosquito control in common areas would be great. - A pool floater for non-swimmers would be useful too. Overall: great comfort, friendly service, and a relaxed setting. Would definitely recommend!
Terrible experience. It doesn't meet by any way the 5 Star hotel standards. Very poor service & rooms. Food is also not good and the excuse is being given it is off season now. Giving only RO water in rooms and no bottled water. Completely Dirty slippers.
Did not have a pleasant experience during my stay . Booked my stay for 3 nights but found termite in bed due to which could not sleep ,pictures below . Staff friendly but services not up to the mark on various occasions which was informed at the reception but no actions taken. Wanted to avail spa and informed at reception, also about breakfast but never got any response from them. Bad experience overall
Stay was perfect, enjoyed the wooden finish of the room which had a balcony as well to relax, house keeping was prompt...the restaurant team also did a good job, they also have a spa which unfortunately we couldn't try because of the time constraints. Overall one of the few beach resort in Havelock.
Had an incredible stay at Coral Reef, the rooms were spacious and well maintained. The food and staffs were also good. Nice location, radhanagar is about 13 kms and kalapaathar is 3.5 kms. Havelock is also the best island in India. Renting a scooty is a good option
Extremely poor service. Room cleaning is done after 3 pm! Food ordered in restaurant takes ages to come. Invariably, tea bags, milk sachets were forgotten. Maintenance of the room needs to be improved ( hair dryer was hanging on a thread!!). Curtain in bath short letting water out while taking shower!!! Poor training despite nice infrastructure! Will never opt for this brand again!!!
They opened my room when i was not present and on complaining i was told by the manager that it’s their policy. They open everybody’s rooms for cleaning without consent And the staff is really lazy They just blame the things on each other I went there with my wife and my child and their service is not at all satisfactory Total waste of money and time
Lovely setting with pool area and beach. Nice size rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast selection was great and bar staff very good. Good quiet location and easy to get around. Liked using the bicycles and security staff were helpful. Pool was clean and a good size but beware of falling coconuts....
Had to remind breakfast staff and reception on a few things and drinks etc were quite expensive for there. Only had one choice of beer selection which was a more expensive premium. Need to stock diet and reduced sugar drinks.Hotel taxi alot more expensive that normal street taxis and tuc tucs.
Wow ! What an amazing Property. Really it's a beautiful scenic resort with luxurious rooms and amenities. We had booked 2 suites for 4 pax for staying between 6th to 8th February 2025. The entire booking process was very smooth and easy. We find best suggestions and deal for our stay. Will like to mention Ms. Priyanka Rai for her soft spoken nature and willingness to Reply/ solve each and every query with politeness. Would definitely suggest this property to everyone.
Outstanding resort with 2 swimming pools, great breakfast and other food options. Generous portions. Excellent service from the team. Rooms are big and comfortable. Every room has a balcony Not too close to the market and not too far from the market. Perfect location to easily access from a cycle or a motor bike Local shops for basic needs just opposite to the hotel Many restaurants on the road just outside the hotel if you prefer to eat out sometime
I stayed in the property with my wife and my 3-year old daughter from January 19 to January 21, 2025. We were accompanied to the room by Ms. Shaheen, the front desk manager. The room was spacious, clean and was the best among the ones we stayed at in the Andamans. The private beach was a major highlight and was very well maintained. There were two different swimming pools that were also well maintained. The property overall was managed very well. However, the main laggard in this entire experience is the restaurant. We had a candlelight dinner by the beach on the 20th. of January. The starters were nicely made but the chicken tikka was very dry inside. We observed the same trend across different chicken dishes where the chicken was overcooked and was not moist at all. Chicken Dijon tasted a lot bitter than expected. Towards the end of our meal, we were told that the restaurant had run out of caramel custard which we ordered at least 7 hours before our meal. Surprisingly, the Greek salad (a vinaigrette based one) appeared just before the dessert whereas these types of salads generally appear as appetizers in the Western world. The restaurant here needs serious improvement and it's important considering the few choices of eateries outside the hotel. I will specifically mention Mr. Ravi Chhetri for his impeccable service throughout the dinner. He also took some good photographs of us and strived hard to make the dinner experience enjoyable for us. While checking out, I was initially asked for the payment of the candlelight dinner which I had paid even before arriving at Havelock. Hence the billing system needs an upgradation too.
Perfect pool & entertainment view from the room
Hotel rooms are small no fresh up kits provided and breakfast served with expired ingredients such as expired butter and expired ketchup etc. the good thing is hotel is near to beach and cleanliness other than that food is average and service is okay.
Very nice. I have stayed on 3 of the Andaman Islands and this is by far the nicest hotel. The staff, many of whom are from Sikkim, are welcoming and helpful and speak enough English to make this easy for a non-Indian guest. The buildings are 2 stories. My room was upstairs with a balcony overlooking one of the two pools. It was well set out, very clean and well lit. There was a big comfortable bed, coffee table and chairs, minibar fridge, the usual kettle and tea/coffee plus jars of sweet biscuits. The bathroom was a little cramped but the shower was big and had reliable hot water. There is a restaurant and a café, the latter with a real coffee machine which seems to be pretty rare. The food was okay, not super gourmet but good enough, and the wait staff went out of their way to be helpful. There is a bar serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at reasonable cost. I also had a good massage in the spa again at reasonable cost. I would be very happy to return to the Coral Reef in the future.
It is a good resort on the beach. 2 swimming pools, live music in evenings, good breakfast spread, lavish rooms = good holiday! The resort seems to have space crunch yet they've managed to give good experience to travellers. It is at reasonable distance from major attractions. Although the restaurant takes longer time to deliver the food order, it was delicious. The beach is at walkable distance and the entire stretch (including for resorts nearby) have wonderful view
UNCLEAN- They didn’t clean our room, when they did it was solely making the bed. I found a dead cockroach, flies were everywhere and termites were in the ceiling. USELESS STAFF - we almost missed our ferry back to port blair because the woman in reception lied and said she had booked a taxi, which she hadn’t. Not good for 6 am new year’s day. We ended up hailing our own tuktuk while the staff laughed and said to ‘calm down’… whilst also piling on more bills. The management swan around shouting at their younger staff, some of whom are actually very good, trying to get them to be the scape goat for their mistakes (writing down and serving the wrong meal and then saying ‘oh i don’t know how that happened, stupid xyz’) NO SERVICE- we had to ask 3 times for refills after 2 days of no WATER or toilet paper- this was met with visible and verbal annoyance from the cleaners. We were lied to more times than i can count - mainly by the awful woman in reception and Baimal- e.g: telling us they booked a lunch for us at the taj (stay there instead), us travelling all the way there only to be met with the maitre de at the Taj informing us that he had told Baimal it wasn’t possible. I also received multiple bruises from the massage, after telling the masseuse to decrease the pressure multiple times. We, and the other guests ended up having to have daily chats when it was all getting too frustrating. I wish this had only happened to us, but apparently the coral reef is known for its poor service and rude staff. I will never be returning, and i hope this helps sway anyone who was planning on wasting their money
The room was cozy and nice. The beach in the property was very pretty with really amazing sunrise. Lunch & dinner was good especially the chicken tenders. Breakfast was good.
There was a cockroach in my room. The continental dining can be improved.
The rooms were great, facilities were fine
Food was very subpar, breakfast was terrible and a la carte for dinner had stale chicken. The taxi fare to the jetty- 10 min drive, was very overpriced.
Food and service in the restaurant was excellent. It was also great that we had chance to use bicycles on the island. The room was nice and clean. Musician was tallented with his soft voice.
Wifi connection was not good and hot water was not always available.
It's location to the most peaceful, beautiful, full of natural beach
Unfortunately construction was very close by, Next to our apartment. So it has drilling and banging into the night. No discount was offered
Pool was good, rooms spacious, veg food was average - avoid pizza, non-veg food was good. A bit expensive though.
Property was under renovation, AC was not efficient.....took very long to cool. TV was present but Tata sky was not charged (even basic pack).
Pool is not bad Barman is great Resort looks good at night
Some staff members are not very helpful Restaurant is slow and makes mistakes Reconstruction added some noise during the day Public WCs need to be renovated Beach is quite dirty and not being cleaned
Clean
False advertising, there is no bar at the place. Extremely difficult to communicate with the staff. Manager pro belly doesn’t care about the place anymore. Highly overpriced compared to other resorts at havelock. Rude staff in general, som few were good.
Private beach is so beautiful! specially when its high-tide time. Breakfast is very good Swim pool- nice and clean Staff is very good
Construction at the resort. Cost is little high Overall Andamans is a good place to go but its little costly with not much infra....so not sure if its really a value for money.
No water supply in the bathroom for 3 hours & again morning time no water. Literally had to wait and waste time and even once the water supply was on, no hot water supply. Rediculious. Still charged full tariff with no apology from hotel.
