Great gluten free options for dinner and breakfast 👍. Bed linen and towels all good quality and plenty supplied. Staff and owners really friendly and welcoming.

Attention , il faut prendre le ferry pour accéder à l’hôtel . Par la route c’est bien plus long . C’est à savoir . Les murs sont plutôt fin . Le ferry commence son service à 6 h le matin si vous avez le sommeil léger vous risquez d’entendre

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The location is fantastic on the side of the Loch. Plenty of parking. The staff were very welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was comprehensive with plenty of choices. Evening meals were also very good. We loved our stay here and plan to visit again in 2027.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Quiet. Clean. Comfortable. Everything you need available. The bar was well stocked and well managed. The food in the restaurant was solid if not excellent. Service was solid. Everything worked. It was really quiet at night.
Ferry required for most travel to and from the inn - 20 minutes and 13 pounds one way. Keep that in mind when comparing properties. In-room amenities could/should be upgraded. Coffee, tea, etc. seemed to be an afterthought. The hotel is a historic property and may not appeal to someone expecting Hilton. I personally enjoyed the unique character, un-sanitized atmosphere - others may find it difficult.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026L'atmosfera del luogo e dell'albergo sembra quella di un film ambientato nell'800, con i vecchi lupi di mare che frequentavano i pub prima prima di salpare per andare a cacciare le balene.
Il posto è isolato ed è collegato alle principali località da visitare da un traghetto dal costo di 13 sterline a corsa (agosto 2026), con ultima corsa alle 21.30, altrimenti occorre fare un lungo giro da 90 minuti in più. Se non si attraversa il loch, il paese più vicino è a più di 20 chilometri. Inoltre, sono in corso dei lavori rumorosi per la costruzione di un nuovo molo a due passi dall'albergo che cominciano alle 7.30 del mattino....

Se arrivate da Glasgow/Glecoe, vi conviene prendere un traghetto (costo di 13 sterline) che vi porta sull'altra sponda. Altrimenti dovete allungare il giro di ca. 1 h e passare da Fort Williams, per poi tornare indietro. Abbiamo cenato presso la struttura e il cibo era molto buono. Consiglio di prenotare, anche perché in prossimità della struttura non ci sono molte alternative

Ongoing harbour improvements started a little early, BUT hotel had warned about this in advance, it’s not the hotel’s fault and in the long run beneficial to guests staying at the hotel.

Quando siamo andati c'erano dei lavori per rinnovare l'attracco del traghetto, quindi la mattina non era silenziosissimo.

Die Zimmer sind schon sehr in die Jahre bekommen und renovierungsbedürftig. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr schlecht und der Geruch ist auch extrem. Außerdem war der Boden in Zimmer schief - sogar so schief dass man die Türe der Duschkabine nicht schließen konnte.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026We had an evening meal and breakfast the following day. Both were very good indeed, with generous portions of very good food and reasonably priced. The view over the loch is excellent, the adjacent ferry slipway you will like or not (we were happy watching the ferry loading/unloading) Ample parking spaces. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and had time to engage with us. We were warned of the ferry slipway upgrade activities in advance but these were entertaining to watch in their own right.
The room could have been a bit more high end, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026We liked the rooms, the bunk beds were a hit with our grandchildren. Breakfast was perfect. Catered for our family who are Taoist vegetarian so no onion or garlic. Staff very attentive and provided extra coffee and milk. We ( husband and I) had dinner the first evening which was cooked to order and very tasty. They have a nice residents room with games . The hotel is situated on the west side of the loch and has lovely walks, friendly sheep and a car ferry to Onich every 30 mins
The shower wasn't very hot in the morning and water intermittent. My son said it was hot with good pressure in the evening so we obviously showered at the wrong time🤣

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Un hotel a gestione familiare che fa fare un tuffo nel passato. In un posto bellissimo e fuori dal mondo. La struttura e' antica ma confortevole e la cena servita nel pub, cosi' come la colazione, assolutamente autentiche.
Asdolutamente niente ma capisco che sono molto speciale perche' cerco sempre l'autenticita' rispetto alla ipocrita perfezione che la massa vuole trovare in un hotel.

Room was tired, duvet was about the same thickness as the pillows which were very uncomfortable. Noise from neighbouring room was rather loud with the doors banging etc Even though we were advised that there was extra noise from the works outside it was more than the "there is some noise" expected Poor TV signal (world cup viewing wasn't possible)

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026The team were very helpful and made us feel welcome. The evening meal was piping hot and tasty. After a long drive we checked in, this was very straightforward. We had a family room which was spacious with a lovely view of the Loch. Husband and son had a great time watching Spain vs Belgium in the snug with a lovely Spanish Family. We chose not to have a breakfast but used the Breakfast Truck in the carpark for Coffees and Hot Choc and a breakfast bap which was really nice.
The fire alarm at 6am was a fresh start to the day but could not be helped and was caused by a guest smoking indoors 🙄 but this was handled really well by the team and we were back in our room 20 minutes later!

El desayuno fue un poco escaso. Nos pusieron un Scottish breakfast para 5, pero en un plato para todos, cuando habíamos pagado 5 desayunos. No creo que fuera mala intención, porque tampoco lo reclamamos mucho, pero había que estar insistiendo en que pusieran más tostadas también. Las televisiones eran muy pequeñas.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026Het was schoon en voldeed aan al onze verwachtingen. Het is van vriendelijke Schotten, het is schoon en je kunt er goed ontbijten, dineren en een drankje doen. Het pand ziet er schitterend uit. De locatie was ook erg fijn, al moet je wel er op letten met het pondje te moeten - dit is wel vrij eenvoudig.
