Onich Hotel & Lochside Beach Pods

Le pods était très chouette avec une vue magnifique sur la plage et la mer, bien équipé avec un lit très confortable. Emplacement de parking juste devant le pods.

Pas d’épices dans les armoires. Prix assez cher pour la surface intérieure du pods. Moisissure dans la douche, elle était également compliquée à utiliser et le début était assez bas.

Hunde sind erlaubt. Sie werden nicht so freundlich behandelt, wie ich das in anderen Unterkünften erlebt habe. Keine Begrüßung, kein Wasser und keine Leckerli wurden angeboten.

Le petit déjeuner et la vue. Le restaurant est sympa.

La chambre sur la route bruyanteet trèspassante. Les murs qui tremblent quand les camions passent. Chambre pour 3 petite avec peu d'espace pour ouvrir les bagages.

Jättegulliga små stugor. Små och saknades lite köksutrustning men väldigt mysigt.

Colazione diversificata e abbondante, con dolci e salati. Staff molto cortese. Una sera abbiamo provato il loro ristorante e la cucina era molto buona. Posizione ottima con parcheggi.

Purtroppo, i materassi del letto in camera erano materassi a molle e non molto comodi.

The location right on the loch is absolutely stunning. The staff is professional and warm. It’s my second stay and I enjoyed both times very much.

Wir hatten als Paar einen Beach Pod, mit direktem Ausblick auf den Loch, für 5 Tage und haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist ausflugsstrategisch gut, um Glen Coe und Umgebung zu erkunden. Das Hotel liegt allerdings an der vielbefahrenen Straße und die hört man. Zum nächsten Supermarkt sind es ca. 10 Minuten. Die meisten Natur-Hotspots sind mit dem Pkw in 15-30 Minuten zu erreichen. Der Pod war für uns mit mit dem Minimum an benötigten Utensilien ausgestattet, man könnte sich aber sicherlich etwas mehr Mühe geben; damit sind keine Luxusartikel gemeint. Der Preis darf sich aber sicher nicht nur durch die örtliche Lage rechtfertigen. Für die meiste Zeit hat man uns in Ruhe gelassen, was in Ordnung war. Zwischendurch wurde zweimal gefragt, ob wir etwas brauchen. Was wir uns bei der Anreise definitiv gewünscht hätten, wären ein paar Instruktionen zur Unterkunft oder zumindest eine Gästemappe gewesen. Wir haben lediglich den Schlüssel bekommen und ein “Welcome”. Das war’s.

Quite pricy for room only. Although clean bedding & towels the rest of the Pod was very grubby. All the kitchen area & fridge very dirty, fridge full of crumbs, debris and sticky red liquid. All doors covered in grime and handprints. Gave it all a good clean on arrival. Bed only accessed on one side. Banged head quite badly climbing out. No bolt on the storage cupboard under bed which kept opening and banged & bruised legs on wooden doors. Maybe pod accommodation on this occasion was not for me.

Location, location, location! What views! Absolutely stunning. Perfect pod too, very well made. We loved it. Breakfast was great too.

Hôtel bien placé et literie confortable. Le reste est un peu dans son jus mais cela semble être le cas pour tous les hôtels du coin. Le personnel est très gentil.

Unfortunately nothing.

Asked for early check in due to weather - it was No. Hotel moved our dinner reservation day before to 7pm without consultation so ended up cancelling reservation made 3 days prior. The location had the potential to be amazing however the price we paid was for the view so don't understand why our pod (#1 Skye) had thorny weeds obscuring the view. Very disappointed. When I asked for bedding for sofa bed I was treated like I was annoying and asked why I needed it as there was only 2 guests? Cupboard broken under bed and due to height everytime got out scratched leg as latch broken.

Liked my single room with loch view. And the pebble beach perfect for a summer swim. Staff were very polite and service at the restaurant excellent. As a solo traveller you often get bad seating but not here. Got a table by the window with Loch view. Thank you!

Teppich im Zimmer war sehr dürftig und sollte dringend erneuert werden. Weinauswahl ist sehr dürftig. Breitere Brotauswahl beim Frühstück wäre wünschenswert.

Prachtige ligging, en mooi, zeer royaal hotel met goede voorzieningen. Heerlijk gegeten en super aardig personeel. Een aanrader zeker.

Wij hadden een kamer aan de kop-kant van het pand, die lag, net als de kamers direct aan de straatzijde, behoorlijk rumoerig qua verkeerslawaai. 's Nachts dus de ramen moeten dichthouden. De (duurdere) kamers aan het water hebben dit nadeel niet. Wij wisten dit echter niet, was dus jammer.

We had a cabin near the lake and it was horrible. Dirty, all covered in spider web, no AC which was particularly bad as this metal cabin was hearing up quite intensely.

Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist toll, die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Abendessen war auch gut. Unbedingt Zimmer mit Seeblick buchen. Da hört man die recht nahe Straße nicht. Guter Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Wanderungen im wunderschönen Glen Coe.

Unser Bett war für zwei Personen etwas zu schmal und unbequem. Das Hotel ist insgesamt ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, dafür aber relativ günstig für schottische Verhältnisse.

De locatie is prachtig waar dit hotel gevestigd is.

Ontbijt vond ik niet erg uitgebreid en daar was de prijs kwaliteitverhouding minder.

Room was dated and had water stains on the ceiling. We had to leave the window open all night to scape the moldy smell in the room. The bed was small and not comfortable. No chance of room change !

​Wat een fijne aankomst had moeten zijn na een lange reis met onze baby, veranderde in een absolute nachtmerrie door het onbeschoft gedrag van de eigenaar en zijn medewerker. ​Door vermoeidheid waren we helaas verkeerd gelopen (naar het linker rijtje pods, terwijl onze gereserveerde pod 'Skye' in het rijtje rechts bleek te staan). Omdat we dachten goed te zitten, staken we onze sleutel in het slot van pod 'South Uist'. Tot onze verbazing paste de sleutel en ging het slot gewoon open. Voor ons het logische bewijs dat we goed zaten, want je verwacht natuurlijk niet dat de sleutel van pod 'Skye' zomaar het slot van 'South Uist' opent. ​Toen de hoteleigenaar erachter kwam dat we aan de verkeerde kant stonden, kwam hij niet met hulp, maar met extreme woede. Hij begon razend tegen ons te schreeuwen, vroeg of we wel "goedsnik waren" en dreigde direct met extra kosten. Dit alles terwijl mijn vrouw op dat moment probeerde onze baby te laten slapen, die door zijn geschreeuw compleet overstuur raakte. ​Om de situatie nog erger te maken, begon de tweede medewerker zich er op een bizar neerbuigende manier mee te bemoeien. Hij zei meerdere keren tegen mij als man dat ik "mijn vrouw maar eens moest kalmeren", omdat dat "niet goed zou zijn voor de baby". Mijn vrouw is op dit moment pas 6 maanden geleden bevallen en raakte door de hele intimiderende setting uiteraard emotioneel. Het personeel keerde hun eigen misdragingen en geschreeuw dus om alsof wij het probleem waren. ​Ja, wij hebben een menselijke fout gemaakt door de verkeerde kant op te lopen. Maar de reactie van deze twee mannen is volstrekt onacceptabel en grensoverschrijdend. Eén verkeerde afslag praat dit intimiderende gedrag niet goed. Daarnaast is het een gigantisch veiligheidsrisico dat de sleutel van pod Skye zomaar op pod South Uist past. Dit betekent dat willekeurige andere gasten dus ook jouw accommodatie binnen kunnen stappen.

Location is quite literally the only thing good about this property.

The carpet is ripped, stinks, walls have stains, the place is filthy- absolutely filthy. Everything is outdated and appears like all furniture is 60 years old or older. Staff were not friendly at all.

Petite cabine très propre situé sur le bord de mer, très charmante. L'équipement est très correct.

Contre toute attente, la cabine était très près de la route et ca s'entend. D'autre part la cabine manque de place et à deux adultes et un ado, c'était très très serré. Il y a d'autres cabines mieux placées que celle que nous avons eue et ... elles sont parfaites pour 2 personnes.

Lots of white light when you enter. Felt like walking into a retirement home or private hospital. I prefer yellow light / warm light but maybe that's just me. The breakfast was ok but nothing healthy to eat. The bathroom door would not close properly because of poor installation, and the toilet was uncomfortable to use because you had to sit at an angle; the toilet paper holder was placed too close to the toilet on the wall. Weird design planning.

An sich ein sehr gemütliches Hotel direkt am See mit sehr guter Küche reichhaltigem Frühstücksbuffet sehr zuvorkommendem Personal.

Durch die Lage direkt an der Hauptstraße sind die Strassenseitigen Zimmer etwas lauter

Si trova sul fiordo, carino per una passeggiata sulla spiaggia. Il ristorante cucina bene e a prezzi nella media. Il bagno, seppure piccolo, è stato rifatto da poco e ha una ampia doccia.

La mia stanza singola nel blocco hotel non ha il fascino dei pods sul fiordo, che sembrano molto più carini. Il prezzo secondo me è abbastanza sproporzionato per quanto offerto, ma capisco che si approfitti dell’alta stagione per far cassa nei mesi che lo permettono. Con un po’ d’impegno, si potrebbero anche rimodernare le stanze, per un’accoglienza degna del prezzo richiesto (£195/notte).

No hot water in the sinks but in shower. Sofa bed very very uncomfortable. They should check what’s still available In the pod we stayed in thing probably broken over time or gone missing. Only one bowl not enough glasses and not enough knifes forks spoons . Could do we some hand soap in the bath room and a tea towel . For the amount of money per night expect the basics.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Loch Linnhe. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Ein großer Schrank war vorhanden, sowie ein Bügelbrett/eisen. Großes Bad mit sauberer und großer Dusche. Das Frühstücksbuffet war lecker. Es entsprach einen typischen schottischen Frühstück. Personal ist nett. Wir haben 2 x im Restaurant Abendessen gessen. Nicht ganz günstig aber super lecker.

Unser Zimmer lag nach vorner an einer sehr befahrenen Hauptstrasse. Es roch muffig. Einrichtung ist schon älter aber okay. Wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten.

Beautifull location. Close to glencoe, and fort william.

Accueil et restauration pas du tout professionnels. Manque de maintenance de toutes les infrastructures de l'hôtel à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur. Défaillance de l'entretien et propreté de l'hôtel : cendriers et poubelles ni vidés ni nettoyés, moquette et rambarde d'escalier en très mauvais état, personnel de salle de restauration non avenant et ne faisant aucun effort d'accueil.

Breakfast had a nice selection, the eating area is very comfortable and has a nice view. The view from our room was right out to the Loch and above the pods and very calming and peaceful. Very nice and accommodating staff with easy check-in

The breakfast hot foods were warm and could have been hotter. The trash bin between the parking lot and the pods was overflowing onto the ground the whole time we were there. Need more trash receptacles on the property or need to empty them more often.

The location of property is excellent however property has misleading photos on platform and was in very bad shape and very bad hygiene has been maintained

Rooms were smaller then photos. Bathroom were not clean and filled with mould and stinking.

Das Restaurant war sehr lecker sowie das Frühstück. Das Bad war neu gemacht.

Möbel im Zimmer waren sehr alt, Ausstattung sehr sporadisch, abgenutzte Teppichböden im Zimmer und im Flur. Letzterer darf gerne renoviert und gestrichen werden. Muffiger Geruch.

Some maintenance issues around the property. Broken bench and fence in garden, handrails with worn paint … simple things to fix but neglected

Lo staff è estremamente gentile. La cucina molto buona. La colazione ottima. Bellissima vista sul lago dal bar. Le parti comuni sono molto belle e accoglienti

Le camere sono veramente molto poco curate e, se come nel nostro caso lato strada, parecchio rumorose

Chambre donnant sur le loch et donc sans le bruit des voitures mentionnés dans d’autres commentaires. Très bonne literie. Situation géographique idéale pour partir en randonnées.

Pas d’ascenseur donc escaliers obligatoires ( attention car certaines marches sont de tailles différentes et la chute est facile, cela se repère grâce à la moquette abîmée). Décoration et ameublements datent et auraient besoin d’un sérieux coup de jeune voire d’une grosse rénovation.

The room was nice, everything was clean. The dinner was excellent - delicious and reasonably priced.

The staff weren’t super attentive; we asked for a lower floor for my elderly mother but were given the second floor (top floor). Also the shower, while super nice and clean, is very slippery for an elderly person.

The location is great with breathtaking views over the water. Just a few miles away from Glencoe and Fort William, it is a great base for exploring around. The pods were small but comfortable, even for a family of 4 (including two teenagers). Breakfast was good and packed lunch can be organised for a decent price. Staff was friendly.

The food in the restaurant was too salty to our taste.

Nos encantó nuestra estadía en este pod. Es pequeño, pero muy lindo y acogedor, perfecto para dormir y descansar. Tiene una pequeña cocina y un baño impecable, y todo estaba muy limpio y cuidado. La gente fue muy amable y servicial durante toda nuestra estadía. El desayuno también estuvo muy bueno y completo. Pero, sin duda, lo mejor del lugar es la vista: ¡es realmente hermosa y hace que la experiencia sea especial! Un lugar muy recomendable para disfrutar de unos días en Onich y recorrer los alrededores de Fort William.

La vue des alentours de l'hôtel était époustouflante depuis la chambre et la terrasse !

Pokój z widokiem na Szkockie morze oraz szum fal - niesamowite doznanie. Mgła o poranku niczym z romansu. Śniadanie-bufet okay. Personel bardzo przyjazny i pomocny, godny polecenia i widać, że dbają o gości. Wspaniała restauracja i strefa wspólna. Dojazd do Three Sisters oraz Fort William doskonały. Polecam zwłaszcza osobom z samochodem! Okolica malownicza. Bardzo czyste łazienki.

Okna - w jednym pokoju zaparowane od środka (niemożliwe do umycia); w drugim pokoju okno z trudem się zamykało (wręcz wisiało na jednym rogu i baliśmy się je w ogóle ruszyć), kiedy udało nam się je w końcu zamknąć, strach było znowu otwierać.

Der Ausblick auf das Wasser und die Berge ist sehr schön.

Einrichtung der Zimmer bereits sehr in die Jahre gekommen mit muffigem Geruch. Die Betten sind sehr weich. Im Flur kommt die Tapete von der Wand.

Die Lage/Aussicht ist sehr schön. Dass Essen war gut und das Personal freundlich.

Im Bad hatte es in der Dusche und am Fenster Schimmel - das ganze Badezimmer roch danach (ohne das Fenster zu öffnen fast nicht zum Aushalten). Der Abfluss war völlig verstopft. Die Schublade im Bad war kaputt. Im Pod selber war das Bett nicht richtig bezogen (nur ein Tuch darüber gespannt), sodass die eklige Matratze darunter immer wieder zum Vorschein kam. In der Küche gab es keinen frischen Schwamm oder Seife zum Abwaschen, weshalb wir nichts benutzt haben. Allgemein war das Zimmer sehr, sehr schmutzig und das gesamte Inventar/der Pod sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Preis ist viel zu hoch für das, was man kriegt.

Sehr freundliches Personal und eine nette Begrüßung.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer unter dem Dach und die Dachfenster waren verrottet und von Schimmel befallen. Schade, daß im renovierten Badezimmer das Dachfenster nicht ausgetauscht wurde, auch da schwarzer Schimmel.

Stayed in the pod. It was very small and extremely hot. Dirty cups and cutlery not washed after previous tenants. First hotel I see does not have hand soap.

Petite chambre donnant côté parking. Beaucoup de circulation. Très bruyant. Pas d ascenseur. Restauration moyenne. Belle terrasse mais on n a pas le droit d y manger, seulement pour boire. Trop cher, que ce soit pour la chambre comme pour le restaurant.

The front desk and the restaurant/Bar staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble. The rwstaurant food is excellent, compliments to the chef and their team.The hotel has recently changed hands post Covid and the new owners are on a rolling program to modernise the place and get it to their high standards; so ignore the scratched paint on the banisters or the odd loose fitting as they are making it all right in stages.

Unfortunately we had some issues with our bathroom. It wasn't as clean as might have been expected and the ild silicone was grubby and very mouldy. The batheoom had a new toilet seat, Unfortunately the fitter hadn't tightened up the fittings properly for use, so it came off at one point. Our shower door came off its tracks whikst we weere using the shower and we couldnt clise the doir so after 2 showers the bathroom was soaked through. In the plus side the staff fixed both the toilet seat and the shower door straight away for us whilst we were out.

Wir konnten eine Nacht verlängern und ein besseres Zimmer bekommen. Rezeption und Servicepersonal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Blick auf den See ist schön. Frühstück sehr vielfältig. Dinner möglich.
