Wir waren total begeistert vom Frühstück. Mit so viel Liebe hergerichtet und alles frisch zubereitet. Einfach köstlich. Toll war auch, dass das Zimmer schon wieder fertig war, wenn man vom frühstücken zurück gekommen ist.

Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und kommen nächstes Jahr auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit; die Location ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Zimmer groß und stilvoll!

Die Auswahl zum Frühstück hätte etwas vielfältiger sein können

Unser Aufenthalt war wieder mal grandios, Seit unserer letzten Reise wurde umgestylt und fanden wir chic. Das individuelle Frühstück was täglich frisch zubereitet wurde , ist klasse. Das bett super . An Weihnachten durften wir uns über ein sehr hübsches Frühstücksbuffet freuen mit landestypischen Delikatessen. Besonders möchte ich Keasha danken für Ihre rund um die Uhr Hilfe bei sämtlichen Reservierungen, sei es Restaurant oder Giraffe House , egal was sie war einfach klasse. Auch Tondarei war uns eine Hilfe und alle immer super freundlich und man fühlte sich gleich angekommen. Danke auch Jessica und Shida für unser immer freshes Zimmer und die reichlich kuscheligen Handtücher. Die Aussicht ist : wenn man sich bemüht, sah man von unserem Zimmer bis ans Meer . Der Pool ist immer sauber und lädt ein , dort mal einen Nachmittag auszuruhen. Das Personal stand immer für Erfrischungen bereit an der chicen Bar. Die Lage ist super. Man ist gleich an sämtlichen Golfplätzen um Umkreis. Gleich in Strand am Strand oder in Stellenbosch. Wir sagen DANKE

The breakfast was so beautiful - like a pretty little wonderland of yummy treats. Everything else, from the service and staff, to the facilities and food, well exceeded our expectations. It was peaceful; the room was a tropical haven with expert attention to decorative detail. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was stunning and the bath and shower were both amazing - great pressure, size, and heat. The stars of the show were the staff (Keisha, Tonderai and Jessica), who were welcoming, informative, warm, attentive, and very hardworking. It's like they were built for hospitality! We were met outside, helped with bags at both check-in and check-out; they provided everything we needed, quickly and happily, and made us feel at home. They are the epitome of great service. One more shout out to the breakfast... What a vibrant AND delicious spread - of continental and hot breakfast options, mini smoothies and green juices, chia pudding fruit cups, fresh fruit and nuts, soft bread, and a ginger-orange homemade maramalade that converted me to a marmalade lover. Everything was tasty and the portions were perfect. I was so impressed! I left feeling happy and rested.

Eine sehr individuelle kleine Lodge( nur 4 Zi)mit einem wirklich schönen großen Pool. Auch das Zimmer sehr schön mit einer kleinen Terrasse, mit Blick in den Garten. Dem Ganzen merkt man den indischen Einfluß in der Dekoration an. Gehobene Wohngegend, leider kann man nichts fußläufig erreichen. Hat uns aber nicht gestört. Die Restaurant Empfehlungen waren auch top.

The property is fabulous, situated in an upmarket suburb and very well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay at SW1 Lodge.

Great service and the staff were exceptionally helpful and made me feel welcome. Very stylish decor and great rooms. Would be great if restaurant service at lunch and dinner was accessible.

Keisha, Nobulele, Tonderai and the team took such good care of me from the moment I arrived until I left. I loved Keisha's crispy croissants in the morning, and the freedom I had to sit in the Sunshine. I loved the garden, the flora, the privacy of my room. I had a lovely stay and look forward to another visit.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like....

Breakfast was excellent. From pastries, to croissants, to muffins. The fresh fruit was outstanding and the cooked breakfast excellent. Champagne with breakfast Christmas day was fantastic!!

It was clean and staff are trying.

We have travelled extensively internationally and stayed in multiple accommodations in South Africa. This was by far the worst for the following reasons: - security was appalling. We arrived back from dinner at about 10pm to find we were the only people in the guest house. We were given no details as to when reception / security was manned until, just a note to advise if we are coming back late to let them know so we can be greeted. We didn't do this as we don't need to be greeted but we do expect basic security to be in place. The glass front doors didn't lock properly so some wooden shutters had been pulled behind them which had no means of locking. Our room was right by the front door so we only had the lock on our room door. We eventually heard someone else come in later in the night which we had to assume was another guest rather than an intruder. The protocols for any problems or emergencies over night were completely lacking. We asked about the lack of security in the morning to be told that the door had been left open for us as it doesn't lock properly and they didn't want us to struggle. - we were only staying for one night and returned to our room after breakfast to find that a housekeeper had been in making the bed, folding toilet roll etc. This was completely unnecessary given that we were checking out within the hour. We asked about this to be told it was normal procedure. We have never ever had anyone enter our room before whilst we are having breakfast. There was no need for our room to be touched until after check out. - we were charged for a bottle of water at check out. It would seem that the housekeeper had also checked the fridge whilst we were having breakfast. Apparently there is a rule you can only have complimentary water if you stay 2 nights! - the complimentary bottle of wine listed on the booking never surfaced. There was just some sort of liquid in a small bottle on the coffee table, no idea what it was.

I recently stayed at SW1 Lodge, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The accommodation was absolutely gorgeous—every detail of the house was beautifully decorated, and each room felt thoughtfully designed. It truly has a luxurious yet cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was fantastic and incredibly filling, the perfect way to start the day. But what really stood out was the staff. They were so friendly, kind, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Upon arrival we were welcomed and made to feel at home. Our room was exceptional, the decorations had meaning, each space filled with purpose and we felt a nice homely feeling. Our host Tonderai was so friendly, kindhearted and helpful and attended to all our needs. He was very professional at all times, yet we felt his warmth and he was always smiling. He is truly a gem at SW1 lodge and we felt very comfortable with his exceptional service. Our Chef was so nice and friendly, treating us to his breakfast specialties and those breakfasts were remarkable, such depth of flavour. We loved our room so much, the aircon and fireplace was so nice and made the room feel cozy and warm during this cold winter season. We loved the turn down service too and this was a nice touch. Het was een prettig verblijf. In eerste instantie had ik last van de harde matras maar heeft Antoni snel voor mij opgelost. Antoni is een lieve gastheer die altijd voor ons klaar stond. Ontbijt is heerlijk maar ik miste een zoete warme optie als French toast. Zwembad is plezierig om na een actieve dag te kunnen genieten en afkoelen.

Good breakfast. Freshly made (as opposed to a buffet). Choice is adequate.

This place is absolutely incredible. I’ve heard a lot about it and was very pleased they had availability. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden (with a pool), the rooms are exceptionally clean, new, and comfortable, and have everything you can ask for (it shows that this place pays attention to details). The staff is professional, helpful, and very kind. The breakfast was one of the highlights —amazing selection of fresh baked breads, fruits, and many other goods. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely stay here again when I’m back in Cape Town. Cannot recommend it more.

I'm torn about this place. Our stay was great overall: good breakfast, clean & wonderful room, secure property not impacted by load shedding. However, 2 things happened that made me lower my rating: 1. When I called to arrange late-night check in, I was told the service fee is R350. The SW1 website states the fee is R300. My South African partner called another time to inquire and was told it is R300. Thanks for adjusting it on my bill, but either update your site, inform your staff of the accurate price, or maybe just don't take advantage of "foreign" guests. 2. I left my gym shoes behind in our room's armoire. When I called a few days later, I was told housekeeping did not find anything. Listen, it's a boutique hotel with less than 8 rooms. If this was the Hilton or another large chain hotel with hundreds of rooms I could buy that answer. The manager who answered my call recognized my name & remembered the room I stayed in, which means it's a small enough hotel where the staff notices things. With 5-7 rooms total, your cleaning staff most likely did find my shoes, didn't report it (or did - who knows), and kept them. I'm familiar with how South Africa works. It's my own fault I left the shoes. The hotel isn't responsible for my belongings, but they are responsible for their staff & general conduct. The lack of principle here is bothersome: clearly taking advantage of a "foreigner" & the general dishonesty in conducting business. Don't think I'll return.

SW1 is immaculate. It has a warmth which is hard to describe - maybe the staff, the decor, the utter peacefulness. The independence from the main electricity system ensured we suffered no inconvenience with Wi-Fi etc.

Our entire experience at the SW1 Lodge was amazing. We were treated so well. Staff and owner are very attentive and the breakfast was wonderful. We felt relaxed and at home. Beautiful area of Capetown as well. Highly recommended.

MY WIFE AND I GREATLY ENJOYED THE EXCELLENT SERVICE,VERY FRIENDLY STAFF-FROM MANAGERS TO THE CHEFS TO THE CLEANERS AND CHAMBER MAIDS. THE ROOMS WERE WELL APPORTIONED AND VERY COMFORTABLE.ALL WITH THEIR OWN PATIOS. WE LIKED THE BREAKFAST ROOM. BREAKFAST WAS A BIT LIMITED, BUT WE WERE NOT REALLY FOCUSED ON EATING IN THE HOTEL. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD WAS PEACE FUL AND LAID BACK.QUITE PLEASANT. WE THINK ITS BECAUSE EVERYONE WAS ON VACATION ELSEWHERE. THERE IS A LOT ONE CAN DO IN THE VICINITY, BUT A GOOD RENTAL CAR-COMFY,IS ESSENTIAL BECAUSE OF ALL THE DRIVING. WE HAD A GREAT TIME . MY WIFE THINKS WE SHOULD HAVE STAYED LONGER.
