My car broke down and I had to cancel my booking and book for the following night. I was not charged for the night I cancelled as they offered to carry my booking over to the next night.

Reviewed Mar 22, 2026The short journey from Cape Town airport. We only stayed one night as we were traveling on to Greyton. Arrived at night and only saw the facilities in the morning. Great breakfast spread and extremely pleasant staff. The host greeted everyone at breakfast and provided good travel information. After seeing the pool area we wished our stay had been longer. A good base for the wine area.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026Diese Unterkunft verdient volle Punktzahl. Die Kommunikation mit Jörg und seinem Personal war besonders herzlich, es sind viele Stammgäste dort. Die Zimmer zur Gartenseite sind etwas schöner, der Pool ist sehr sauber und das Frühstück auch mit frischem Obst besonders lecker. Wir hatten unsere Medikamente vergessen und sind ein paar Tage später nochmals zurück gekommen und konnten sie abholen. Wir können diese Unterkunft wirklich weiter empfehlen.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026It was close to Vergelegen which was our requirement. Dog Friendly, however, we had an upstairs room which they did warn me about beforehand, but the stairs were not easy for a dog slated wood with a curve at the bottom. My dog coped so we managed.
The bathroom was tiny with a huge beam at an angle above the basin and loo, shower so small you couldn't bend down.

Rooms are small and does not really facilitate longer stays where one can eat in the room. One has to eat at restaurants. Facility is not really dog friendly and someone always had to stay in the room during breakfast time. Fridge too small. Water pressure in shower low.

The photos advertise wine and with a name Winelands we expected wine availability for purchase as to not leave the property. A smart tv in the room for those lazy afternoons would be an asset for sure.

Reviewed May 11, 2025Lovely property with stately trees, swimming pool was loved by children. Breakfast was good, wide range of options to choose from , very friendly staff accommodating of specific requests and tolerant of children from age 2-16yrs old.
The R44 road runs just below the property, and though not an issue during the day as a high sound-proof wall is in place, the soft purring of traffic sounded like rain and was a mild disturbance in the morning.

Reviewed May 9, 2025The friendliness and helpfulness to accommodate us for a single night and even allow my mom to sit in the room till after the wedding celebrations - we are TRULY grateful and will recommend many people to your place.
I was a bit disappointed that the bedding wasn't very clean - the sheet in particular but still will not let that override the gratitude and welcome feeling of our stay. Oh and if I may suggest, as much as there is liquid hand soap, sometimes a bar of soap is also preferred - but this is not a complaint !!

The chalet rate in this property is deceiving. Booking was for a chalet that sleeps 4 max. Upon check-in, they charged the other 2 guests without official notice on booking.com. Future guests, please be careful when booking at this property specially the foreigners.

Reviewed Mar 8, 2025In terms of the breakfast, I found the same as in many B&Bs and restaurants. I told the food lady "Eggs easy over don't overcook the bacon". I got hard eggs and over cooked bacon. There not a great skill in eggs easy-over, but very few peoiple can do it, ir they don't want to.
Kitchen staff were nice but didn't listen.
