The room was clean comfortable and very acceptable. The breakfast was excellent . The staff were superb, friendly, helpful.

It is a little distance from the old centre but there are plenty of excellent restaurants near for dinner so no problem with location .

Good, safe location. Great buffet breakfast. Bed & pillows were comfy. Aircon worked.

On arrival: the rather unfriendly man on reception said "you're too early to check in, come back after 3pm." We asked if we could leave our bags and rather than offer to store them somewhere out of sight, he indicated we should just leave them there by the door. We werent offered a map (had to ask for one) or given any suggestions for what to do or where we could find somewhere nearby to eat, just left on our own to wander out in the 35 degree heat. Service generally: reception wasn't great, certainly not pro-active. A cheerful 'buongiorno' occasionally would have been nice (it was always us instigating this). In contrast, breakfast service was always cheerful and friendly. Special mention for Sambu who was always smiling and even came to help open the room safe (by banging if hard!) when it refused to open for us. Room: we had booked what we assumed was the best room, described as a junior suite. It seemed fine at first - seating area (2 bucket chairs and a single bed) bedroom area with comfortable bed, rather small TV (no Netflix), small table with huge (redundant) lamp which half-obscured the only (small) mirror. No drawers, only two small drawers at the bottom of the wardrobe. Not enough hangers in wardrobe. There was a wrap-around balcony but no balcony furniture so to sit out there you have to drag out the very heavy armchairs. And a table if you want a drink. There were several strange/useless ornaments (big empty vases etc) that we had to move in order to put our things down (like a drink or a book). We wanted to have a glass of wine in the evening (there's no bar in the hotel but the room had a small fridge/mini bar) and had to go down to reception for a couple of glasses. They were reluctant - but we insisted, and eventually got given a couple of glass tumblers. I think they expected us to drink from the paper cups in the bathroom. Bathroom: dark and poor lighting. Very tired decor.

Breakfast choice was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. The shower was disappointing. It was a shower over a bath that leaked water onto the bathroom floor. We were expecting a separate shower cubicle to match the photo's when we booked.

Ants in the bathroom, unable to get any tv chanels and when advised took 3 days to sort out which only happened the day before we left. The dressing table laminate edging was coming away, and the cuboard door where the mini fridge located was not hanging correctly. Those items needed updating.

Hotel con personale accogliente, gentile e premuroso! Colazione molto variegata e abbondante, per tutti i gusti ed esigenze personali! Camera pulita e spaziosa. Una piccola passeggiata ha portato subito sulla via Ruggero Settimo, con numerosi negozi e il Teatro Massimo!

La gentilezza dello staff e la posizione

La camera e il bagno. Finestre alte e non raggiungibili, condizionatore vecchio e rumoroso. Sembrava più una camera di un hotel 3 stelle. Non so se fosse la categoria della camera, ma secondo me costava troppo per quello che poi ci siamo trovati davanti.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had an early flight out, they provided a breakfast pack for us to take. They arranged a car to the airport.

O Hotel fica perto do centro de Palermo

Os corredores dos quartos do hotel não tem ar condicionado. As janelas dos quartos não isolam do ruído. Estive hospedado no quarto 304 e ouvia-se o barulho da rua, das pessoas a falar, dos carros, não se conseguia dormir. As casas de banho são velhas, com louças antigas, torneiras oxidadas. A box para tomar banho é exígua. Uma pessoa "forte" não consegue entrar. A protecção de vidro da box estava partida. Um dos dias, às 8.30 horas da manhã, já não havia água quente para tomar banho. Tivemos que tomar banho em água fria. A sala onde servem o pequeno almoço é muito pequena, com poucas mesas. O pequeno almoço é muito simples. Um tipo de fiambre ( muito salgado), umas fatias de queijo, uma mortadela (dura), que n\ao consegui provar. Um ou dois tipos de pão, quase sempre apenas branco ( o menos saudável e o mais barato). É uma funcionária que serve o café, o capuccinno... tudo racionado. Os sumos são intragáveis. Estivemos hospedados cinco noites e pagamos cerca de mil euros. Um valor exorbitante por um hotel tão mau.

Хотелът е в самия център.Стаята беще чиста,има хладилник,даже имахме два балкона Закуската беше фантастична,както и кафето..Персонала усмихнат и приятелски настроен.Много мили хора.Пред хотела има автобусна спирка,с който лесно се стига до жп гарата.

Възглавниците бяха малко твърди.На терасата няма столчета.Встаята имаше кана за вода,но нямаше кафе,само чай.

Cuando llegué el personal de recepcion fue muy amable.

Llegue y me dijeron que habia un problema hidrico y no habia agua en mi habitacion y me enviarian a otro Hotel pero este estsba muy alejado del centro, practicamente aislado y el proposito de mi viaje era estar en el centro, no queria ni tenia porque alquilar coche ni usar taxis, deberian dar tambien la opcion de Reembolso para que el cliente decida por ultimo que otro Hotel escoger en la zona que prefiera, no considero justo "amarrar" al cliente que ya pagó por adelantado para darle lo que el Hotel decida

Dobra lokalizacja, jak na włochy różnorodne śniadania, każdy coś znajdzie dla siebie, czysto w hotelu, duże pokoje.

Hotel muito bem localizado, perto de todos os pontos turísticos, mais ou menos 18 minutos a pé da gare Centrale, café da manhã correto. Hôtel très bien situé, à côté de monument touristique, environs 18 minutes a pied de la gare centrale, petit déjeuner correct.

La ubicación espectacular para recorrer el centro de Palermo. La atención de todo el personal fue excelente.

No sé si es un hotel de 4 estrellas. El desayuno es bastante básico y a la habitación le falta un poco de espacio a nuestro gusto.

La struttura è datata. Al mio arrivo non trovavano la mia prenotazione, ho dovuto aspettare per 1h che mi trovassero una stanza perché l’albergo era pieno. La prima proposta prevedeva una stanza senza finestre, solo dopo essermi assolutamente rifiutata sono stata spostata in una stanza decente

Colazione davvero ottima. La posizione centrale dell'albergo ha soddisfatto le mie esigenze, come anche i servizi offerti dall'albergo. Lo staff davvero molto gentile.

Nella doccia non ho trovato lo shampoo, ma lo staff ha risolto subito il problema.

Desidero ringraziare e fare un sincero complimento a Giovanna, addetta alla sala colazioni. È stata l'unica persona che ha dimostrato vera professionalità, cortesia e una grande attenzione al cliente. Sempre sorridente, disponibile e attenta alle esigenze degli ospiti, rappresenta un esempio di come dovrebbe essere il servizio in un hotel di questo livello. A lei va un meritato 10 e lode.

Il soggiorno in questo hotel a 4 stelle è stato purtroppo molto al di sotto delle aspettative, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il servizio alla reception. Il personale si è dimostrato poco cortese, poco preparato professionalmente e privo dell'educazione e dell'attenzione che ci si aspetta da una struttura di questa categoria. Durante le interazioni con gli ospiti, gli addetti rimanevano seduti dietro al banco, senza prestare un gran attenzione al cliente e con altri comportamenti che non rispecchiano gli standard dell'hôtellerie e che incidono negativamente sull'esperienza complessiva. Mi auguro che la direzione investa maggiormente nella formazione del personale di reception, perché un'accoglienza di qualità è il primo biglietto da visita di un hotel a quattro stelle.

Colazione ottima, variegata e abbondante, la zona è centralissima, l'hotel è facile da raggiungere anche con i mezzi pubblici sia che si arrivi dalla stazione centrale che dall'aeroporto, la camera dove abbiamo soggiornato era ampia e ben climatizzata, l'hotel si trova a due passi da piazza politeama e dal Teatro massimo. inoltre essendo molto in anticipo rispetto all'orario del check-in abbiamo potuto lasciare i bagagli gratuitamente (molto apprezzato), e iniziare a visitare la Città sin da subito.

unica pecca, se prendete la camera del 5° piano l'ascensore arriva fino al quarto, quindi magari bisogna chiedere prima, io purtroppo ho preso l'ultima camera rimasta, non è stato un grosso disagio per noi, però magari per qualcuno potrebbe esserlo.

Posizione centrale, vicino al teatro Politeama e vicina al porto. Staff gentilissimo e accogliente. Colazione dolce, salata con scelte anche di prodotti locali abbondante e variegata, consigliatissime le torte. Stanza nella media e bagno spazioso.

Ci tornerei volentieri, anche se avrei preferito la doccia alla vasca da bagno.

Breakfast was very nice, and the lady assisting there was very nice and polite.

We did not experience a 4 star hotel AT ALL! The room was super dark which is misleading from the photos they had uploaded. Both the room and the bathroom had lots of mold, there was no soap in the bathroom and the face towels were hanging on the bidet!! The bed also had hair! Severe unhygienic conditions. We checked in very quickly at 4:30pm and had to leave the room and came back at 11:30pm, so there was nothing we could do. We did message them and they completely ignored us. Thank god we were checking out the next morning, if we were to stay longer we would not tolerate these conditions. We definitely do not recommend it. 0 value for its cost.

La habitacion y el baño no tenian ventana y este detalle no constaba en la descripción al hacer la reserva...sensacion de estar en un nicho.

Reservamos una habitación triple y al hacer el check in a las 15h faltaba una cama, avisamos en recepción y nos dijeron que durante la tarde nos la pondrían, salimos del hotel y al regresar a la noche todavía no teníamos la cama, tuvimos que esperar hasta las 23h a que nos las pusieran. La cama fue mal montada y no era estable, imposible dormir en ella.

Our room wasn’t serviced on our 2nd day , when mentioning this at reception they seemed totally uninterested. We found reception to be quite casual in their approach.

Hotel classed as 4 star but not what we would expect of a 4 star hotel in the UK. Hotel foyer had only a few seats and would have benefited from a more relaxing and welcoming area. Hotel did not offer food service with the exception of the buffet breakfast. Problem with Room-safe - issue with key pad. Given key to open and close Room- safe as repairs could not be completed while we were there. Room-safe key had to be returned to reception every time we used it and then retrieved to re open safe - quite a hassle!!!!! Shower and sink did not drain well. Breakfast was just ok. When the early arrivers at breakfast ate all the breakfast rolls, scrambled eggs etc. then we were told there were no more available. Breakfast time was from 7am-10am and we were often there around 8:30am.

The location was perfect, and the staff were friendly, iIt was a lovely respite from the heat and the breakfast was exceptional.

Throughout the night there was a low honking sound in our room. I assume it was the air conditioning from another room, but it was loud enough to keep me up all night.

Le staff de l'hotel est très agréable, gentil et souriant. L'hotel est bien placé, parfait pour des visites du centre historique en marchant ou prendre le bus.

Les chambres présentent quelques défauts, la porte fermait mal et on devait la claquer et le mini frigo ne refroidis rien. Le petit déjeuner mériterait d'être un peu plus frais.

La nostra esperienza palermitana è stata assolutamente positiva, anzi, indimenticabile. Palermo è una città splendida, un crogiolo di culture e storia che si svela a ogni angolo. Passeggiando tra i suoi mercati colorati e i vicoli barocchi, si respira davvero il calore autentico, l'accoglienza spontanea e la genuinità tipica dei siciliani, che ti fanno sentire a casa fin dal primo istante. Durante il soggiorno, abbiamo alloggiato all'Hotel Artemisia, situato in una delle vie più centrali e vivaci della città, a due passi dai principali monumenti. La struttura, dal fascino storico e ricco di carattere, si è rivelata accogliente e più che dignitosa. Personale alla reception professionale e preciso. Ma il vero plus, il valore aggiunto che ha reso unico il nostro risveglio, è stata la signora Giovanna, la responsabile della colazione. Una donna esplosiva e solare, capace di contagiare tutti con il suo sorriso sincero e la sua energia mattutina. Gentile, garbata ma allo stesso tempo estremamente professionale, si è dimostrata disponibile oltre ogni misura, prodigandosi con attenzioni squisite. Il buffet da lei curato è un tripudio di bontà: una ricca selezione di leccornie sia dolci che salate, che spaziano fra torte morbide e gustose, cornetti di vari gusti e cannoli ripieni al momento, ai formaggi e agli affettati, il tutto accompagnato da succhi, caffè e cappuccini preparati come si deve. Insomma, tra arte, storia, profumi e sapori autentici, Palermo ha saputo conquistarci. E se l'Hotel Artemisia offre una cornice suggestiva, è grazie a professionisti del calibro della signora Giovanna che il soggiorno si trasforma in un'esperienza dal sapore familiare e assolutamente consigliata. Torneremo sicuramente!

Staff was not super friendly. Maybe a cultural barrier but I’m Sicilian and tend to be more friendly. Especially if someone is paying me.

They were able to accommodate us with a different location but after 20 hours of travel It was a disappointment.

Very comfortable hotel about 15 minutes walk to historic centre. Rooms and bathroom a good size. Beds comfortable hotel is spotlessly clean. Straight walk to main train station

Breakfast room is very small so when busy is a bit chaotic

The location was ideal. The room was good and the air conditioning didn’t go off which was much appreciated.

Even though there is a mini bar, glasses are not provided in the room so we had to ask. Also our safe didn’t work and although we reported it, it wasn’t fixed the whole week we were there. Easy things for a four star hotel to put right.

Personalens attityd, jobbigt när man behövde hjälp. Trasigt värdeskåp, ingen försökte laga det. Fick be om hjälp varje gång vi behövde in och det var ej populärt.

L’accueil à notre arrivée par un monsieur très désagréable. On nous a donné une chambre sans fenêtre, on a demandé à changer, ça n’a pas été facile. La deuxième avait une fenêtre mais pas plus de 13/14 m2, prix pas du tout justifié !! Si Booking.com ne contrôle pas cela à l’avenir je pense que je traiterai avec d’autres plateformes de location.

At 0100 hrs someone opened our door while we were sleeping. We were disturbed and didn’t not feel safe. Brought it to the notice of receptionist in the morning. Also we were told that there was tea/ coffee in our room. Only teabags were provided. When requested for coffee , we were asked to go to restaurant and buy coffee. We booked 2 rooms for 4 of us. Since we were travelling together, we wanted to have rooms on the same floor close by but when we checked in , we were given different floors. Hence not a great experience.

Shower needs fixing. Water Leaked from bath and flooded the whole bathroom. This was room 404.

hotel 4-gwiazdkowym nie jest, zasługuje co najwyżej na 2-3 gwiazdki, straszny hałas od ulicy nie pozwolił spac. Pomimo zapewnienia nie otrzymalismy tzw. lunch-boxu za niewykorzystane śniadanie, facet na recepcji opowiadał, ze autobus na lotnisko najwcześniej odjezdza o 05:00, a my znalezlismy 200 metrów od hotelu, przystanek autobusowy skad na lotnisko odjechalismy o 03:50. Bardzo słaby jezyk angielski. Sniadanie jest porażka jesli chodzi o hotel 4-gwiazdkowy.

The location was good enabling easy access to main attractions and public transport.

On our first night we were put in a room that smelt and did not have windows and could not pass as a 4 star hotel. However the staff were kind and could not move us until the next day as they were full. Our new room was great.
