Nice location out of town - beautiful gardens, well tended. Hotel a little tired but very comfortable.
Wifi in my room (15) a bit slow to engage. Bathroom tiny.
Old school British charm and very good restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast.
All meals were really excellent and the staff worked hard to assist in dietary needs. All staff were first rate and made our stay really memorable
Our bedroom window was painted closed and with very high temperatures it made for a very hot room. We were provided with an efficient electrical fan
Everything, amazing stay, staff wonderful and hotel lovely.
Nothing at all
Care has clearly been taken with pretty much every aspect of the hotel. The grounds and exterior are clearly well considered and cared for. The entrance is gorgeous and smells of clean carpets and good ventilation. It was a hot day when we arrived. We were VERY happy to find that the air con had been running in our bedroom, so it was beautifully cool. Beds and pillows were very good quality, as was the bed linen. Shower is great! Even the shower head is good quality There isn't a single thing I didn't like about our stay. I'll definitely be back.
The fact that I had to leave.
lovely , lovely hotel , a calm oasis with lovely staff , perfect.
nothing
The staff went out of their way to give us a surprise. We booked a stay for one night on Aug 12 a while ago without realising there would be a solar eclipse. We called the hotel in late afternoon the day before asking if they had any specialist glasses to watch the special astronomical event. It was always a tall ask as the whole England was looking for the glasses. As expected, the reply was negative. Then on the actual day, me and my wife was having a drink in the outdoor patio of the hotel at around 18:20. We saw an Amazon delivery van pulled up to make a delivery, took no notice of it, but 10 minutes later the staff came out holding two pairs of those specialist glasses for us, just in time to watch the solar eclipse. We lost for words. It was our first experience watching a solar eclipse, thanks to the hotel staff, it will be a memory that will last a lifetime!
Beautiful building and garden. Friendly attentive staff. Very good food.

It was stunning and very clean, lovely dining facilities. The staff were excellent, and so friendly.

Excellent food and very friendly attentive staff

Superb hotel in lovely location, small village just a few miles from Lincoln centre. The team were all so professional and yet friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble. The garden at the front of the hotel with a small terrace is picture perfect (our room overlooked the garden) and we enjoyed drinks either there or in the cosy lounges. The food was amazing, from the home-made granola at breakfast to the steak at dinner. The rooms were very comfortable and large. We not only visited Lincoln centre (plenty of car parking at the top of the city near the cathedral and boutiquey shops) but also RAF Conningsby for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight tour and the International Bomber Command Memorial - newly developed - which is literally down the road. Hope to come back at some point, but meanwhile we would definitely recommend!
No down-sides at all!
Nice and near Bomber Command
Sparse facilities no gym or pool
Beautiful location just outside of Lincoln. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel met our expectations overall. We were in a basement room so there was limited natural light.
Great location and the property itself is stunning.
Like many places at this time of year, the bedrooms would benefit from air conditioning
Staff air conditioning

Great building very well kept. Good room.
A little restricted in terms of charging for literally everything including charging corkage for a bucket of ice!

Lovely clean and quiet room. Very good toiletries. Great breakfast selection beautifully cooked. This was our second visit and dinner was as exceptional the first time.
Not a lot
Staff very nice, professional and friendly. Restaurant food was exceptional but on the dear side. Room was clean and ok size but requires able bodied people due to stairs.
Would have been better with an independent shower in the room. Lounge seating could do with updating.
Out third but not our last visit all round good experience
Excellent location, very good service, good food and attentive staff. Spotlessly clean rooms and public areas. Fabulous grounds.
The building is very old, so lots of stairs and labyrinth of corridors.
location and staff (beyond expectations)
No fridge in the rooms , rooms need better cleaning including carpets need washing stains on pillows blanket etc housekeeping needs improvement basically greeting at the reception including frontline staff absolutely amazing beyond expectations but as I said housekeeping for rooms needs major maintenance improvement by the way door Matt was on the sofa looks like someone not happy with her wage at the reception Laura and Helen you are absolutely amazing thank you for ur help and support

Lovely house and surroundings
Slightly difficult to find
The staff were welcoming and went above and beyond to bring us extra blankets. Our dog was given special attention and care while staying as well. Thank you
We were happy w everything
Excellent
There was no electric shaver point in the bathroom Evening meal menu same all week.
Everything and everyone inc guests
Only stayed 1 night
Beautiful property set in very attractive gardens.
It was perhaps a little dated but that added to it’s quaintness
Evening dinner was extremely good. Fine dining experience. Log fire in reception hall was perfect for relaxing around before and after dinner. Perfect location for walking into Lincoln along the riverside (I took the local bus back). Staff were highly courteous and professional.
Honestly, I am struggling to think of anything.
Very friendly and helpful staff, the host showed me to my room to avoid any confusion so this was really helpful. The hotel itself is stunning, an absolute pleasure to be able to stay there and has excellent scenery. The facilities excellent with tea and coffee in the room, the hotel clean and tidy, including the room, great value for money and an excellent location with a couple of nice pubs locally, was able to park easy with plenty of space. Food was amazing on the evening, I had to leave early on the morning, staff did their best to accommodate me with a little hot food, so this very kind of them, I utilised the continental and this was very pleasant, so overall a great experience and I will return on my next visit.
Nothing, all good thank you.
Lovely, view from the window and food was Just right.

nothing really.
Very comfortable. Staff very friendly. Dinner was superb.
A wonderful former rectory, Georgian splendour set in attractive grounds. Our room, hotel decor, staff and dining were excellent.
Nothing of note
Beautiful room Large bed and bathroom Spotlessly clean Lovely linen, comfortable bed
Peaceful location, warm welcome, excellent food, comfortable room.
Bedroom decor was a bit tired and out of sync with beautiful Georgian building.
The bedroom decor and bath
The bed wasnt the greatest it was quite uncomfortable
Stunning absolutely beautiful building and the staff were just so so attentive and warm
Nothing it was ideal
Stayed here loads of times. Very homely and amazing food
Everything was exceptional!

Very comfortable room, lovely hotel and wonderful breakfast. We stayed for supper too and that was really, really good! I am dairy free and gluten free, they had even made and printed out my own menu!
Everything was excellent
Very comfy and charming staff. Very good bar for people with dogs to eat.
The carpets!! Huge checked carpets absolutely ruined decor!
Lovely setting and externals.
Room was aging, it felt like a very expensive stay in an old people’s home. Room was too hot. Cleanliness wasn’t great. Room rate was wildly high for what was provided. Checked out early as didnt well at all. Such a shame.
The restaurant is fantastic. Food quality, Staff, ambience all absolutely first rate. A beautifully kept, relaxed boutique style hotel that respects its history.
Nothing!
Selection was good and so was the service The dinner we had the previous evening was very good the sea bass was excellent
I didn’t like the bacon and my poached eggs were slightly
Everything
It was all great, staff, room etc
Pillows really hard
Lovely setting and accomodation
Great location ,Lovely house .Really good choice of evening meal and breakfast .We spent 2 nights and loved it .The staff go over and beyond to make your stay as comfy as possible .
Nothing
The staff were really nice and helpful, especially the lady on reception. The bathroom was definitely the best part with the deep bath.
The room was really nice its just a shame breakfast wasnt included after paying such a high price to stay one night.
A first class stay, great room, comfortable bed, food was first class and the staff were amazing !
Room was well fitted out very comfortable. Food was excellent.
Outside space. Location and gardens were lovely. Communal areas were very nice too, especially the breakfast room. Breakfast was delicious.
We were disappointed by our room. Not as expected as per photos on Booking.com. It needed a refresh. Bathroom was small, badly laid out - no room to set toiletries and was mouldy. Door to room did not close easily.
The whole environment was excellent. Surroundings, building, members of staff and the food was all lovely. We will stay again in the future.
The location was perfect, in the countryside but really close to Lincoln.
Parking was limited when we arrived
Everything - location, food and service was nothing short of excellent.
Nothing…
Lovely place
Beautiful building from outside and beautifully decorated lobby
Staying in the single room made me feel like I got scammed...when you look at photos of the other rooms, it makes no sense for that single room to be offered to guests. It should be a room that staff use for their own purposes
Feels luxury and home from home. Food is amazing. I will stay again
Very nice, clean, well presented and comfortable hotel in a great location. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The bed was too firm for me but that is a personal preference.
Very friendly welcome, helpful staff. Superb menu and food. Very comfortable accommodation. Great location for visiting Lincoln (would recommend the cathedral roof tour). We took an Uber in and out for ease.
An exceptionally good hotel with first class rooms, superb food and incredibly helpful and nice staff
The EV charging point is actually just an external electric socket so of no use to a modern electric car.
Lovely hotel. Staff were professional, polite and friendly. The room was a good size. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was good and the bath towels were thick and fluffy. Breakfast choice was good and plentiful. There was a choice of hot food from the menu which was served to you at the table.
There was no safe in the room.
Great breakfast, very personal with locally sourced food of high quality. Gluten free options available too.
The hotel was lovely, the reception and restaurant staff were excellent. The Room and bathroom were very large and comfortable and the view was fantastic. It was good to be able to get the car in under cover too.
Only have a few issues. I booked the hotel nearly a month before our stay. The hotel emailed a number of times, twice the day before I arrived. At no point were we advised that the restaurant was extremely popular and they were fully booked both nights we stayed, All I wanted was a line to say "Our restaurant is very popular and we advise early booking to avoid disappointment." If I hadn't then done it it would have been my choice. Secondly I object to my wife and myself being referred to as "guys" only the bar staff did this no one else. Finally, The road outside the front is very noisy at night, if you're not used to it don't book a sea view.
Spotlessly clean and well presented, lovely gardens etc Fabulous breakfast made with quality ingredients.
Having part of breakfast served ion a low coffee table seemed cheap and weird to use. Just being in an appropriate table for the service.
The Washingborough was the venue for a wake that I attended for a colleague from my time in the Army. The service provided by the staff for the wake and also in respect of the room, I found to be exceptional. The Hotel nestles in the Lincolnshire countryside and the quiet of the space is great for reflective time. The furnishings in the room echoed the overall style of the decor throughout the Hotel - The staff were very accommodating.
that I couldn't stay longer
The position and grounds of the hotel, and the receptionist was very friendly.
The room was like a dungeon. I asked for a room on the ground floor. We walked downstairs to like a basement area with very little light. Yes there were patio doors into a very small gravelled area of about 15x15ft. but the hotel towered above. The carpets had seen better days and the hotel in the dining rooms were very bland. I travel every week either for business or pleasure, but sorry to say was very disappointed. If you are out later than 10.30pm you enter the hotel using a number coded lock. When we entered at 11pm breakfast had already been laid out in the front entrance.
Beautiful hotel in a lovely village no complaints at all
