The location is excellent and convenient - the rooms were adjoining which was a plus plus We were very surprised at how good the Holiday Inn was and is definitely on top of list for Lincoln stays - well done to all
Location
Parking was an issue and resulted in me having not 1 but 2 parking fines for the same stay when parking should be free
Location
I didn’t realise it was expensive due to graduation week
The breakfast had a wide choice. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and made sure we celebrated our anniversary well. The hotel was in a good location by the water.
Possibly due to the fire alarm but the towels weren’t changed on one day.
Location is excellent, very short walk to a variety of restaurant's and into the City centre. Staff very helpful and the breakfast was very good.
Nothing
Modern, fresh and clean. Great location by the water. Welcoming feel, good breakfast.
location
no shower rail essential when older, no info in the room about what is going on in the area and instructions on how to use equipment. Could also do with a small fridge in the room.
e-chargers in the car park. night light in the bathroom
there was no bath. One needs to relax in a hot bath after climbing Steep Hill!
Excellent.
Car park capacity low
The staff, great breakfast and plenty of choice.
The showerhead could do with being further out, so you could stand under it, felt like I had to press very close to the wall to get water all over me.
Located in nice area next to wharf.
Room looked over car park would prefer view onto the water. Room was nice though.
Nice location overlooking Wharf. This is my second visit.
No parking available at the property (full)-had to park in an old multi-storey park with very narrow bays. Breakfast too expensive.
Friendly helpful staff, right by the waterfront, great view from dining room. Close to train station and shops. Made it special for my birthday 🍹
Air con not working, only shower not bath.
Generally excellent and cafe staff really helpful. Food there good too. Breakfast also enjoyable and staff good, lots of topping up always appreciated. Excellent and scenic location.
Reception staff a bit disengaged, would be good to feel welcome.
Location
Procesco was flat. Breakfast items were hard and dry. Some of the mugs placed on the tables were not clean. No plug sockets or usb sockets on bedside tables.
Friendly staff
Lots of German men staying 🤔 would have booked else where had I been told, solo female traveller.
Location
Stained bedding
Friendly staff Clean and comfortable room

Hotel is in a great spot, great views over the water with plenty of eating places right next door and not to far from the city centre.
Nothing
excellent location , good large parking lot , friendly staff , comfortable beds
no room at breakfast as it was very busy , but more options at nearby restaurants
Excellent location and rooms are big and so comfortable

It was my wedding anniversary, we stayed here 35 yrs ago on our wedding night. The hotel kindly left a bottle of Proseco in our room, a very nice touch. All staff friendly and helpful.
The rooms are a bit dated and tired looking.
Location - although there should be better access instructions, since you have to drive down a pedestrian street to access.
It’s just a very expensive Premier Inn - and I still haven’t received the invoice I requested.
The communal areas were very nice. Location excellent. Bedroom had poor lighting, no USB ports, musty smell, lack of drawers & leaky shower. Unfortunately the extractor fan was on 24hrs & we were told this was part of a ventilation system so had trouble sleeping as there was a constant drone.
See above,
Great location
Cl9se to city centre
There was a mark on the chair in the main room A long black hair in the shower. I don't have long black hair I'm sure that this should have been an executive roombut not sure it was? Pillows we're lumpy Quilt was very thin It would have been good for the recent heatwave but the weather was cool and damp at the weekend
LOCATION, STAFF FRIENDLINESS ESPECIALLY RECEPTIONIST
AIR CON NOT WORKING, WINDOW NOT EFFECTIVE, ROOM SMELT OF SWEAT AFTER THE LONG HOT SUMMER. ALL MATRESSES AND PILLOWS SHOULD BE REPLACED ASAP. BARMAN TRIED TO SERVE ME A COKE JUST IN THE BOTTLE - I HAD TO ASK FOR A GLASS AND ICE\SLICE.
Great location with on site car parking. Spacious room and quiet.
The restaurant food could be improved.
Didn't have breakfast. Location very picturesque. Hotel spick and span and in a lovely location Lincoln is a beautiful city.
All fine.
Great location, room was clean.
When we checked in staff didn't tell us that they were having trouble with the boiler and that there was no water. We used the toilet so couldn't flush or wash our hands.
The location and staff.
After we booked a twin room through booking.com we were sent an email from the hotel stating twin rooms were subject to availability and we might not get one, this was not stated when we booked. We are mother and son and so this was stressful not knowing until we arrived at the hotel if we had an appropriate room. Initial room smelt of urine. We were swapped to a better room. There was no hand-wash. There was thick dust in the folds of the curtains and the lamps had thick dirt on the metal stands. The boiler broke on the 2nd day leaving us with no running water or shower all afternoon. And we had to pay £10 a night for the car park then told there were restricted spaces and wemight not be able to park.
A great location
The decor is looking rather dated and the sofa bed in the room was very lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on
Cleanliness service and location excellent

The hotel is in a pleasant location near Brayford Pool. Our room was big and well supplied with pillows and towels and the temperature of the room was just right for us. The staff were happy for us to pay cash for our continental breakfasts, even though it would have been easier to charge them to our room.
Location
Some redecoration needed
Ideal location. Helpful staff. Hotel decor a bit tired, paint work could do with freshing up.
Location
Great breakfast with good selection.
Very convenient and welcoming to all INCLUDING our 4 legged friends
I didn’t like the smoking at the door outside the hotel. Must be designated area for smoking.
Fabulous location, comfortable rooms and great restaurant. Close to the city centre and it's vibrant nightlife.
Loved the waterfront view
Cleanliness of the room could have been better, and the shower kept going hot and cold
Breakfast
Wash basin & bedroom lighting
The location is great great breakfast and the dining staff were very helpful .
Some parts look a little tired for a four star hotel The bedrooms have no drawers which I found unusual and no telephones if we needed any assistance. The reception staff, although efficient didn’t seem very friendly and smiley which I would expect.
Location only
Location was good and that’s it. I complained for Liquid soap and got it after 03 x days. No cleaning was done except making the bed. Making the bed means same bedsheets for entire stay even if you spilled something by mistake. Cleaning was not done at all, all the wrappers stays on the carpet, no washing or replacement for the used coffee cups. No bedside Electrical sockets., plugged Power extension all the way from one wall to the bedside to charge mobile/watches. I’ll certainly not advise any of my colleagues going to Lincoln to book that hotel.
Run down rooms, needs updating/renovating was glad to leave
Location the rooms the staff the break

we liked the area the holiday Inn is situated. Plenty of bars, places to eat if you want a change
nothing to not like
Location was fabulous - staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bed settee a bit lumpy.
A very poor room. The photo of the room is taken on a bright sunny day. It’s the darkest room I’ve ever stayed in. The walls have numerous marks including what would appear to be a previous flood from above. The plug photographed is actually really dangerous. The smart tv will not work with the hotel WiFi, and when we mentioned it , reception told us there are no smart TVs in the hotel ( see the photo !) It was our first time at this hotel but are regular visitors to Lincoln. Sadly we won’t return to this hotel.
Liked all things
Great location in the centre of town with a car park, which was a bonus. The reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful. The room was big for a city centre hotel and comfy enough.
Little bit jaded, could do with a refresh.
Lovely hotel in a great location very close to a variety of restaurants and bars, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was clean and a good size.
Everything was good
OVERCHARGED IN BAR, MANAGER DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW. I went to the bar at this holiday inn in Lincoln on Saturday 22nd Aug 26. I took my wife, daughter and her partner for a drink. On entering the bar at 10.50 pm , it appeared that the bar was closed. There were approximately 15-18 people at the bar complaining that it should remain open. Finally, two more staff arrived and began serving. I asked for a gin and tonic, two red wines and a pint of lager. The bill was £47 !!! I was so shocked, I handed over my card and paid. At checkout in the morning, I asked to see the manager. When I told (Manager, Charlie) about my experience, she was completely unsympathetic and stated ," the prices are there to be seen", and refused any refund. I went and checked the bar tariff and found I had been overcharged by approximately £17. I returned to reception again to explain this. "Charlie" wasn't interested and again refused a refund. As my daughter has moved to Lincoln as a doctor, we plan to visit regularly, it definitely won't be at the Holiday Inn, that's for sure. Oh, and if you have a car, be aware that when the carpark is full, as it was for us on the first night, you have to take it to an unstaffed multistorey carpark instead
Good location
Nothing
Buffet breakfast with plenty choice. Room was clean and comfortable
Nothing everything was fine
Location, clean room
What is it about UK hotel staff? I have lived in, and stayed all over, Europe in the last 5 years. Almost universally the staff are friendly and helpful. In the UK, however, it always feels like you interrupting their day, more an inconvenience than a customer. They were not rude or miserable, just inattentive, leaving us to wait while they appeared to have more important things to do.
Stayed many times. Excellent location, comfortable twin double room with wharf view, very good breakfast, buffet type excellent selection of hot and cold food.
Very noisy air-conditioner, having to arrive as soon as possible to ensure space in £10.00 a night car park. My vehicle too high for nearby multi-storey
The bar and dining area was nice and well Decorated. It was great to see a printer available and the welcome for dogs was really warm.
Broken items in the room. Minimal toilet roll. Monosyllabic staff. Slow to resolve issues. Really awful food :(
Great location and a great price. And had ev chargers in the car park.
The only negative I can think of is maybe a little tired in the corridor to the room.
到英国旅游这么多天,住了好几个比这家更贵甚至贵很多的酒店还有民宿,这家是性价比最高的,唯一一家有空调的地方!
city centre location, two double beds in the room, air con, good size room, great view over the water, biscuits!
breakfast could have been warmer, bacon a bit more well done, maybe hotter plates would have helped keep it warm as all a bit lukewarm as I was eating it
Everything
Nothing
Great location for what I was in Lincoln for. The room was clean and amazing perfect size for two friends sharing. The staff were amazing as well very friendly and helpful
Nothing
Friendly staff, location and very clean rooms
Price they charged us for a bottle of wine thought I had choosen a bottle of chardonnay for £28 only when we checked the bill it was £48 extortionate for a bottle of wine I would never pay that sort of money for a bottle of wine
Don't bother with the breakfast!.we went for breakfast at 8am.items were not restocked, boiled eggs had ran out ,I asked 3 times if there were more coming out and on the 3rd time I was told "you will be waiting a long time for them??the eggs along with several other items were not restocked in the 45 mins I was there. Also to be noted no sockets by beds
The breakfast was good quality
We paid extra for a view of the wharf but couldn’t see the wharf for the glass canopy. We stayed in room 207. We approached the staff to discuss this but was told they were too busy that night to do anything about it
Central to Lincolns bars, just a few minute walk. Room was basic but clean and comfortable
Smelt really musty in the room
all vary good
the tv in the room was very tempremental
Good location and really helpful staff
No fridge in the room and aircon initially didn’t work although they did fix it really quickly. Dirty in some places
Net hotel op leuke plek in Lincoln, bij de werf, universiteit en High street. Ruime kamer (waar de fietsen in mochten) en 2 ruime bedden. Goed ontbijt
We hadden hulp nodig om de airco en tv te starten. Vriendelijk personeel
If you wish to park at hotel getting a space is gold - we are regular visitors and it’s rare we get a space - it’s now hit the point we are going to book into a different hotel !!!! As platinum level guests the added extras were not even in the room this time (water etc ) standards def slipping Please change toiletries -who wants to smell like a salad after coming out of the shower !!!!! Having just come back from Scotland they use different soaps and smell much nicer !!!!! Position of hotel is perfect but not being able to book parking and little extras let it down
Helpful staff (especially Charlotte on reception and Bev on breakfast). Walk in shower. Free ice lollies. Lovely lounge to sit in.
Air con was rather noisy and the controls were not accessible to guests.
Really good hotel, ev chargers in car park great choice at breky friendly staff good location too defo stay again
Location & staff
No IHG points rewarded. No standard room at Street side
Everything lovely hotel and in a very good location by the water. Staff were very helpful. Room was lovely and big.
I liked everything
Great location. Over looking the waterfront
It was all good and had parking
Staff were very attentive and the location is amazing
There weren’t any drawers in the room just a small cupboard and the towel rail had come away from the wall in the bathroom but didn’t effect our stay
A lovely place to stay, close to the centre of Lincoln and nicely situated on the quayside of Brayford Quay. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food, the vegan raspberry croissants were delicious 🥰 All staff were friendly, helpful and polite.
Location and cleanliness
Had to wait for too long to get room serviced
Location and Breakfast
The reception staff, the air conditioning did not work, the toilet didn't flush, the lights are all dated and don't really work. No USB charges and hardly any plug sockets. Staff not interested or helpful. My friends curtain rail fell on her head. Windows do not open and with no air con it is awful. When you complain they accuse you of lying. Disgusting.
Ligging en gezellig restaurant/bar
Gehorige kamer door zgn tussendeur, airco die het niet deed, lampjes die het niet deden, vies toilet bij aankomst
The location was perfect for my requirement to be near Lincoln university. I liked the late check out time as that fitted my plans for the day.
The price was more than some other hotels in Lincoln but understandable given its central location. I didn’t choose to have breakfast in the hotel as I only have juice and cereal and the inclusive cost was too high.
Mantiene la calidad de servicio, alojamiento y excelente desayuno. Estar al lado de la Marina y a 15 min de la catedral es maravilloso. ❤️
Central location. Friendly team!
Room 11. Drainage issue -toilet didn’t flush properly and sink didn’t drain away- bathroom just looking worn out. The rooms air con just blew the cool air up behind the curtains so it didn’t really work unless you opened the curtains but then you’re on ground floor at front of hotel so there’s a privacy issue as there were people walking past the window regularly. Also I was signed up for a rewards scheme and marketing emails without being asked 🙄
Good location
Rooms looked a bit tired and no fridge in the room
Frühstück, sehr bequemes Bett
Great location, very friendly staff, nice bar area and outside seating, decent breakfast. We had a room with 2 comfortable double beds and a lovely view of the Quay.
No fridge or bathrobes. Hand / body wash - bizarrely- was Parsley scented. Lumpy pillows. Would have been happy with a standard twin room, as originally booked, but felt obliged to upgrade to a room with 2 double beds as the hotel messaged to say it couldn’t guarantee we would have twin beds, and I was sharing with a friend, which made it quite expensive.
Central to the area we where going too
As above
Good position by the marina. Not far from a range of restaurants and bars and close to the city and the railway station.
We were given a room that had a view over the car park and a wall! Bit disappointing but the lady at check in didn’t seem very helpful sadly.
Great location for Lincoln. Friendly, professional and courteous staff. Rooms were comfortable and not too hot.
The shower seemed to shut off half way through the shower. Not sure whether it was a water saving feature.
Convenient location
Car parking charges
Location, parking warm welcome and large rooms
The none stop dripping noise all night disturbed our sleep.
RAS
Fantastic location, room was spacious, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent - amazing amount of choice and beautifully presented.
Although the room was spacious and clean, it was shabby in respect of the decor and needs a freshen up. I also needed to rehang parts of the curtains as they had come off the rail.
Perfect location for what we needed it for
Good value for money
Location
Shower was hard to keep at a comfortable temperature
Hotle in a good location 👌
Smell of cigarettes in room,no towels, window was disgusting, cold water pressure low unable to shower, very disappointing.
Vriendelijk personeel, fijne (standaard) kamers. Prima locatie
Stel je niet teveel voor over de airconditioning, want die bestond uit een tamelijk luidruchtig apparaat dat niet veel koelde. De waterdruk van de douche was nogal wisselend.
The breakfast was good
Car park was for 24 hours
Position close to shops
Nothing
Lovely hotel in great location. Unfortunately there are issues with the plumbing including water pressure and also a damp musty smell in the corridor. Hopefully this can be fixed.
