Excellent location, beautiful B&B, lovely view from our bedroom window, free parking, very friendly and helpful staff!

Loved the decor, the room was spacious and had a great view. The breakfasts were tasty and well cooked.

Just the access, but there is nothing to be done about that!

The room was too cold and the shower temperature was sporadic. The cooked breakfast was free but there was a £10 charge to upgrade to a full English or a smaller charge for eggs Benedict. This felt a little awkward.

Parking is not onsite. I messaged booking.com to update the website (which they did) as parking needed to be reserved. I had an awful experience trying to park on streets and was about 10 mins away. I couldn't carry all my items and have a health issue which, had I known parking was off site, would not have stayed. I was on my own and trying to navigate one way streets to find parking was a nightmare. The hall and landing carpet need cleaning and smells. Everything else was very clean.

Booked only day before travel and the location was perfect for the Steampunk event. Lovely little room great onsuite Staff were Very good and accommodating 😊

Great location to hang out in lovely Lincoln . Parking was easy on road always a space Poplars kindly providing a permit. Think Victorian charm meets quirky boutique. I stayed in Elderflower perfect me me on my solo trip. Had a fridge stocked with drinks & crisps plus coffee/tea. The breakfast was delicious beautifully presented & cooked. Little touches like old cutlery and unusual spoons for the preserves. Loved it 😁✨

Nothing except a couple of hooks in bathroom would be handy and a small stool but that’s just me

De locatie. Het bed was ook goed, alleen het dekbed/laken was niet op de breedte van het bed afgestemd. Mensen waren vriendelijk. Ze verzorgen gratis parkeren. Ontbijt was prima.

De douche was heel zacht. Op de kaart die de B&B ons liet zien stond ingetekend dat je kon parkeren waar wij hadden geparkeerd, maar dit bleek voor de laatste twee parkeerplaatsen niet juist. Wij hadden niet goed gezien dat het daar geen zone 1A of 1D was. Advies: kijk goed en niet alleen op de kaart.

The room was quite small, but had everything we needed - including nice tea/ coffee facilities and a decent bathroom. The breakfast was very well done and there was a lot of choice - full English was available for a surcharge, but we had the omlette and cheese and meat platter which were both excellent. The location for the top of the hill/ castle area was excellent... everywhere is within a short walking distance.

The parking was a real let down - we booked this B and B specifically because it had free onsite parking. What they don't tell you is that it is up a very steep ramp on which we grounded our car attempting to access the parking - it's a normal family hatch back with fairly good clearance. The alternative parking is on the street with a residents permit, which was hard to come by.

The parking situation is terrifying - I thought my car was going to roll back Down the hill or just not even make it up the drive, it was note for the faint hearted. I also came back to find my car blocked in? What if I had wanted to use my car during my stay? No one asked, no one. Checked - so that wasn't ideal.

Great location for the old town including the cathedral, castle and numerous restaurants and bars. Staff very friendly and a fabulous breakfast to start the day.

Parking although available will test your driving skills and probably wouldn’t suit low vehicles. We didn’t need our car during our stay so this wasn’t an issue for us. Not for the faint hearted.

Tucked away, great views over the city (means a steep climb but worth it). Staff were helpful and it was very clean.

Only downside was room was sooooo hot! Fan was provided but windows and blinds opened every day after we left so heat came straight back in.

Ruhig gelegen in einem hübschen Garten auf dem Weg zur Kathedrale, aber man sollte gut zu Fuß sein. Schöne Aussicht und ein wunderbares Frühstück in so angenehmer Atmosphäre! Liebenswürdiges Personal. Ich wäre gerne länger geblieben.

Unique and quirky boutique hotel. Just our sort of place. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and made our stay a real treat. Ideally placed to walk around Lincoln and its various attractions. Lots to see and do too.

Room way too hot, exceptional heat stopped us sleeping. I would consider staying in a room that had air con in summer seasons

L'emplacement très proche desendroits touristiques. L'établissement a beaucoup de cachet ! L'accueil est agréable. Lit très confortable. La chambre spacieuse. Excellent petit dejeuner, haut de gamme, personnalisé pour chacun, très grand choix. Beaucoup de prises pour recharger les appareils.

La lampe trop agressive qui s'allume automatiquement entre la chambre et les toilettes. Une veilleuse suffirait. Sinon, rien.

Great location close to the city centre, 5 minute walk to cathedral and castle (we were here in part for a concert at the castle). Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast good quality.

Although there a limited number of onsite parking space, access is very tricky up a narrow, steep entrance. We feel this should be made clearer on the website as some cars would be unable to get in or out.

Perfect location for the castle a 3 /4 minute walk. I loved the two big breakfast tables ( seats 6 people ) so a nice good chit chat with other weekend residents. Made to feel welcome.

No where to turn your car around. Bed and breakfast should mean you get a cooked English breakfast, you shouldn't have to pay extra. Can't see why some give it 10 out of 10.

Completely on point for the facilities that are so important to a good nights stay: Exceptionally comfy beds, peaceful venue and location, fully equipped quality furnishings and a luxurious shower!

Didn't realise accommodation was on such a steep hill so, although its very close to city centre, it made getting around a little challenging. Best for train/taxi passengers.

Beautiful well appointed, very clean rooms and comfortable beds. location was superb, easy reach of historic lincoln. the parking is well organised, although is steep, guidance given by staff to help guests negotiate this. having parking is an absolute bonus.

A warm welcome from the friendly staff. A clear explanation of how everything worked, breakfast times etc. Very quiet location but very close to the cathedral and castle area. Good size room and bathroom. A fan was provided in the room, also fresh water and a fridge. Continental breakfast with local produce was good.

Three different door codes instead of keys. Plenty of hanging space in the bathroom for towels but nowhere to put your spongebag.

Lovely, friendly guesthouse. Staff were extremely helpful and it was great to stay in a family run business. The location near the castle and cathedral plus some restaurants and pubs is excellent

Beautiful house with fabulous features. So convenient for getting to the cathedral and about a 12 min walk from the train station. We got a taxi from the train station when we arrived, but after that we walked everywhere from The Poplars. Really welcoming staff, Martin was so helpful and knowledgeable about Lincoln. Breakfast was perfect so much choice all fresh produce. Won’t hesitate to book again.

The very, very steep driveway, but we've stayed before and knew about it, so asked for a street parking permit instead.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel, and it exceeded our expectations. It is located in the quiet countryside just outside of Ely, where we were heading the next day. The view from the room was of a quiet river with beautiful weeping willows and an old bridge. I was in awe, and we watched the sunset from our window—a very romantic location, which I wholeheartedly recommend.

Prefer to perform the housekeeping after customer checkout confirmation. Also, could you remind your Customer that their car park is on a Steep slope & need to park in bumper-to-bumper?
