Provider-sourced guest reviews.
the room was spotless, modern, carpet was soft under foot, bathroom and shower excellent, very powerful with good toiletries. Nice decor and bed comfy. Nice size room
paying for parking - should be free
Had to pay for parking
Pub and grill fine. Room functional.
Massive amount of construction wok being done. Workmen walking outside bedroom window. Had to have blind closed during stay. No warning about this when booking. Booked 2 rooms asked for them to be closed to one another. One on 1st floor one on 4th floor.
The pool and leisure facilities and the bar
Clean and modern with onsite bar and restaurant. Ideal for Farnborough craft show.
Uneven grid outside main entrance which caused me to trip and bang my head
Everything was perfect
Nothing at all
It’s a very nice hotel and the staff were excellent. The Bar & Grill were excellent as I ate there and had a few drinks.
Nothing
Nice refurbished room but limited clothing space if staying more than a couple of days
Parking is a bit of a hit and miss trying to get a space as the gym is used by the public as well
It has lots of fitness facilities. Good as a stopover if you’re travelling or on business.
DO NOT GO TO VILLAGE HOTEL FARNBOROUGH Basingstoke village hotel is 24 min drive away, go there where the staff are helpful and don’t kick you out of your room after THEIR mistake to a room with broken aircon
Staff booked us into the wrong room and we only found out later after about 5 hours . Where we were told we had to vacate and get moved to another room Where the Aircon was broken They offered us free breakfast and when we went to get it, it wasn’t free as the member of staff didn’t apply it
Large bedroom and comfortable
A shame it was a building site, no advising of this until arrival
The constant noise from Midnight for hours of someone outside moving or banging items causing me to wake up multiple times, one rooms Aircon didn't work and was unable to cast to the TV due to TV not being connected to the internet, could not connect the TV to the internet as the setting is force locked, 1 room which was also a club room that TV didn't even give you the option to cast unless you were assigned the apparent one room in the whole hotel according to staff which had a 65” TV and a King size bed but every other “Club” room had a double and smaller TV
Location and aesthetics
Construction
Comfy bed. Great shower
Noisy building works
Very clean and comfortable. Convenient for our departure from Farnborough airport. Dan who helped us with check in was very helpful, pleasant and attentive.
Nothing really
It was exactly what was needed by us, a place to get changed, sleep and have breakfast. Self check in was new however a member of staff was there to assist if required. The room was clean and had what was needed. The breakfast was typical buffet and good quality. All staff greeted you with a smile, were polite and helpful. There were other facilities but can’t comment on as did not use.
Minor thing however car park routing was confusing and we weren’t the only ones who went the wrong way. Needs a few more spaces, we found the last one at 3:00 pm in the afternoon.
Everything - location, cleanliness with friendly staff
They used to have armchairs in the rooms, where you could sit and enjoy the view
Not much.
The room was small, There was no Safe to place valuables in and no fridge. Also no dressing gowan's or flannels. The standard of the breakfast was poor. The bacon looked under cooked, the scrambled egg looked congealed, it was dreadful and did not look appealing at all. Also I was not happy to find out on the day that there was no longer any free parking for guests. Finally the lift doors on the inside had key scratches, it looked awful.
Rooms
Air con …. Didn’t work.Tap in bathroom - burner or freezer…- extremely dangerous with kids.
It was excellent
Rooms clean and comfortable, minimalistic. Towel availability VERY minimalistic! Views not great, but can’t have it all.
A bath mat and a hand towel in addition to the two bath towels would have been useful.
We stayed here for 1 night on 15th August The hotel is a little bit tucked away off the road so dont be too reliable on Google maps At first glance the hotel is very modern and parking is easy, but dont forget to pay on way out as it is disappointingly an extra £5 a night cost. On our arrival the receptionist seemed a bit stressed and not very knowledgeable as her system was playing up, but informed us of the extras we unknowingly had to pay, parking etc Our room was clean and very modern Sadly it had a bad odour when we walked in, like the drains etc Could be something to do with current building work going on. The bar/restaurant area is very good and the food we had was very good. The staff were also very polite and helpful. We also had a good breakfast but staff need to replace missing items a bit quicker if they run out on buffet. All ok as well till morning when I noticed shower very low down, so on our way out mentioned to receptionist, who informed me that we had been given a room for a disabled person because they were very busy. Nice to be told this when we checked in? NOT! I queried this with receptionist in morning who was a different older person, who was not a bit interested and offered complimentary coffee and cake....no thanks not after breakfast. Just said basically leave in review if youre not happy. We enjoyed some of our stay but room was disappointing and would appreciate to be told if any changes made. Overall good but improvements needed. Facilities and staff on reception especially
An excellent experience at The Village Hotel Farnborough. First class and spacious gym with an excellent range of fitness equipment. The spa is excellent with Jacuzzi, Steam, Sauna, swimming pool and ice bath. The number choice hotel in Farnborough
So close to the British motor show. Great location and the customer service was exceptional. The phone call a few days before our visit was unexpected but very appreciated as it allowed me to reserve diner in the restaurant and book a room with a shower only due to my parents mobility. Exceptional customer service throughout the stay also
Great location and pool, and restaurant food was great. Beds really comfortable and room was spotless
Rooms were great
Food and drink very expensive quality of it poor. Starbucks well over priced

Would highly recommend, good value for money. We had a deal including breakfast & evening meal, no complaints whatsoever.
The hotel it self was good and comfortable.
Pay for parking should be free if your staying in hotel Breakfast was not very nice and for the price of it should be a lot better .plenty there but not very appealing to look at . As for the meals in the evenings, price is expensive for what you get . Ie I had mixed grill what cost £30 and there was hardly anything on the plate. Not appealing to the eye . Overall hotel is good just the other side not so good. It wasn't as good as last year
AC and big comfy bed.

We came here for the night after visiting the motor show and we wish we had found this hotel sooner! The room was very spacious, light and airy, great bathroom and shower space. VERY COMFORTABLE Beds. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, we stayed in the bar and had a meal 2x adult and 2x teens and we all enjoyed it. Breakfast was help yourself and it was delicious and worth the money. Having a Starbucks on site was great!! Good to grab a coffee before leaving!
Nothing! Everything was fantastic, we’ve stayed in other village hotels and are impressed every time. My only niggle was the cocktails!… they were nice but seemed to be rushed when preparing them. I had a pina colada and for the price my glass was just about half full! The mojito was served in a martini glass and it would have been better in a high ball glass. But, this had no effect on our stay! Just something for reference.
Location works well if you’re in Farnborough on business, easy to find & access. Car park was heaving, unfortunately they’d given some of it to the builders, must have forgotten who’s paying! £10 a night to park 🤔. Great they had human beings rather than screens for check-in. Room was good - modern, clean, comfortable. Didn’t use the WiFi. Breakfast poor, limited range of foods & quality average at best. I didn’t like the coffee but may have been fine for others. I’d go back but skip the breakfast.
Modern & different
Hotel very modern and nice facilities Excellent swimming pool with sauna and steam room, good aphmosphere too with music. Nice bar and restaurant and food was good Parking was good Room has a good view and was clean Good air conditioning Nice tv in room
Room had a bad smell when you walked in, smell like a sewer We were given a room for disabled person as everything was low, including the shower Didn't realise till morning sadly Receptionist not very helpful when we mentioned above Apologised and offered free coffee and cake Also said just mention faults in review
Location was great Breakfast was nice and rooms were large and comfortable The gym and swimming pool area was fantastic
Nothing
Great weekend for a family party, first time we have stopped at a Village hotel but we will definitely stay again, eventhough there were building works going on it did not cause any issues, all the staff were welcoming, chatty and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We used the swimming pool which although busy we still were able to swim in the designated lanes provided. Breakfast and all meals we had were plentiful and tasty. Thank you to all the staff for a great weekend.
Coffee cups like all hotels could be bigger, it would be nice if the bar stayed open a little later.
Access of m3
Nothing.
There is extensive building work going on replacing the cladding. This affected the outside seating ambience. It just so happened to be the hottest day so far this year and I would’ve loved to sit outside with a cocktail, but didn’t feel it was a pleasant experience. Such a shame.
Modern building. Very nice room. Fantastic space. Great shower. Lovely hot water. The gym comes complete with a lot of fantastic machinery from TechnoGym. The staff were superb. Self check in was awesome, and simple. Straight in, no messing.

Room was not ready
Very nice room, huge bed which was very comfortable
Paying for parking. I simply find it ridiculous that you have to pay for parking at a hotel you are staying at. It’s not like it’s in a town centre with limited parking. The car park is large and used to be free for overnight guests.
We had a lovely couple of nights at Village hotel in Farnborough. Our room was very clean and very nice xx Thankyou so much to Tyler who was so welcoming and helped us check in after we had a very busy and 'hot!' Day at Chessington!! 😊😊 We hope to visit again soon x
Easy/accessible parking, elpful staff, easy check-in/out, clean and spacious room, comfortable bed.

Central location, well equipped room, clean spacious. Comfortable beds, ample parking spaces.
Having to pay for my parking, breakfast was not varied, not alot of selection for the price I paid for it.

Wonderful friendly place to stay for a break staff in every department make you feel welcome.hotel is well kept rooms spotless food hot and tasty .gym and pool great .close to Farnborough town
Location was fine bedding was fine
I paid for extended check out to 1pm, but the room was not soundproofed as you could clearly hear conversations going on in the hall. There was also a lot of work going on elsewhere am not sure we here from early morning (before 5 am ) It was not the rest I had hoped for
My stay at Village Hotel Farnborough was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, everything was top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, the hotel was beautiful, and the facilities were fantastic. Everything was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!
Location, clean room friendly staff
The air conditioning was working to good The room was very hot
Everything.was,nt expecting much for price but was pleasantly surprised by it all.would deffo use again
Small tea cups in bedroom
The comfy bed Blu on reception was just lovely
The scaffolding was up and it was a little noisy at night
actually the breakfast bar , also the room itself x
need bin place inside the hotel room please also need to stake toilet paper up
Very modern, well kept and super clean.
There wasn’t anything I could criticise.
Just a word of warning The ‘car park’ for this establishment is privately owned . Any patrons are likely to get a ticket even after paying good money for food and drinks etc One has to ask how many other pubs are subject to this practice where their patrons end up with a £100 fine for enjoying a night out .
Tyler at reception desk was exceptionally outstanding with the customer service I received. Very effcient welcoming check in I received, with a smile. It's the small things that count...... he even remembered my name the next day and greeted me when I returned to the hotel. Also very helpful as I needed an extra towel. Tyler is an asset to the Village hotel, with his kindness and customer service he provides.
Location
Check-in was not straightforward and caused confusion with the room and key. The room facilities are poorly equipped. The restaurant offered very limited choices. Room service is also limited, including its hours of operation.

I would like to comment on the improved cleanliness of the gym changing room at Farnborough Village. Thank you Tracey B for your hard work and cheery manner … you have made a big difference.
Nice and comfy
Paying for car park
Air conditioning not working, room hadnt been cleaned properly, staff dis-interested
Good quality and selection
The restaurant did not have air conditioning. Not fair on the staff. We want to our room to watch the football as the restaurant was unbearable
Bedrooms were ok, not quite as good as other village hotels
Charge extra for parking and use of facilities which I did not notice when booking. When eating they brought starter and mains out together. Was too much to eat all at once so went to cancel the desserts and the bar maid wouldn’t refund me for the desserts even though they had not made them yet. Cookie skillet was cold and rock hard and not warm and soft. All round just a bit of a disappointment.
We would like to thank Tyler at reception for his care and attention. Arriving for a family funeral Tyler has really looked after us with care and compassion. Even the following day finding us within the hotel to send his condolences and ensure the funeral had gone well and that we were ok.
Very good standard throughout
Nothing to be honest
I am a frequent business traveller and have recently enjoyed the pleasure of staying at Village Hotel Farnborough for en extended period of time - typically 3-4 days per week over six months January-June 2026. Another renowned hotel in the town is my employers preferred accommodation. However I elected to change location and take advance of the leisure facilities at The Village. Which are excellent, particularly the commercial-grade gym. What I found within the first few weeks of repeated lodging was a friendly, welcoming team. My arrival was always greeted personally (not always the case with Village self check-in), and every request was handled promptly and with authentic customer care. A huge thanks to the that looked after my room requests, dining, leisure activity - namely Sheryl (Blue), Aaron, Wendy, Tyler. Your hospitality made the extended working away from home much more bearable. And I look forward to enjoy your hospitality in the near future. A final word to Maria. The Barista and Manager of the onsite Starbucks; every guest treated with genuine care and attentive service - names and orders committed to memory - and a warm conversation that gave positive momentum to everyone’s day. A new friendship made and a daily ritual that is missed. Thank you and see you next time…
Like the hotel's location, good size, nice bar and restaurant area, comfortable rooms, spacious, good size walk in showers and bathrooms, tea/coffee and kettle. Different Decor in some rooms really well done, good service during our meetings/lunch on this visit I had a view, last stay got stuck looking at a concrete wall
The kitchen ran out of some breakfast items quite early, but I had enough to eat..otherwise nothing to dislike, staff were helpful
Not quite the 5 star I was expecting. On a par with Premier Inn which is fine.
No wardrobe. Only one chair.
My wife and I had a tough day at work decided to stop at Village Hotel for a meal and drink - the bar staff were highly inexperienced albeit pleasant - the food we ordered was cold and tough (chicken share platter ) HOWEVER the evening was saved after we asked for the manager Racquel (Spanish) was absolutely amazing in trying to rectify the situation- she professionally assessed the meal - honestly and not defensively agreed it was unacceptable and offered us an alternative meal. A bad meal saved by a good manager - the hotel must work on training and improving its kitchen staff and bar staff
Great hotel if you are here for a business trip
Breakfast could gave been a bit better. Not enough fresh fruit and trays were not filled up until people told them to.
A dry sausage roll at Starbucks... Coffee was OK!
Sausage roll
Breakfast was good layout
Booked accessible room which was ok but asked for wet room got a bath which was no good for my husband as he couldn't get in to it and I found it very slippery when wet so had trouble getting out as bars were all low on bath none on the walls
Didn’t like the high seats. Location was okay, found the breakfast only lukewarm.
No orange juice
Helpful staffs.

Amazing hotel very clean great food
Loved it all
Easy to find. Lots of parking. The 24hr reception was good for us as we arrived at hotel very late.
Nothing
Location, comfortable, and the blackout blinds.
The gym is underwhelming and it's not open until 8am but I needed it at 7am. I wasn't told the opening times upfront. I found out when I tried to go. I ended up using my gym (JD Gyms) 10 mins up the road.
The room was big, although i did book a double double room. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in. It was very clean. Staffs were helpful
Not big issue but there was only one staff available when we were there so I had to wait for while to be served.
What a pleasant experience me and my husband had staying at the village hotels! Superb customer service, specifically our receptionist Tyler. Tyler helped us with our check-in, luggage and whatever we needed for our stay and we were so pleased with his kindness and professionalism! We plan on staying here again thanks to this experience.

Excellent stay, staff went above and beyond for us every night. Even though they were extremely busy.
Absolutely amazing staff all around, was staying here to work the Armed Forces Day show in Aldershot. Mark, Director of Sales, amazing service and allowed us complimentary gym for the duration of our stay. The bar staff despite having such a busy few days were super professional and polite. Raquel, Senya and Elizabeth M were incredible and provided good hospitality even with our large party of 14. Thank you for a good stay!
Had an absolutely phenomenal time staying at the village in Farnborough. The staff were so accommodating even providing an extra fan when requested. The facilities here speak for themselves I’ve never been to a hotel quite like it. It was super interesting to see people coming to the hotel purely to use them gym! I look forward to my next stay and a big thank you to Mark for the complimentaries and for helping us with so much during our stay
Fantastic stay! The service of the staff was fantastic, cleanliness of the rooms was great and the amenities such as gym was 5 star.
Clean, quick and easy check in
Aircon broken in room - stay was at the start of the June heatwave. No other kings available to move me to, I said I would happily move to a double and be refunded the difference. They refused as they didn’t want to refund anything. Offered me a club room with extra perks like gym, but I was only there one night and wouldn’t need that. They brought me a stand up fan rather than move me. Food expensive for the quality. I ordered the katsu chicken curry. I asked after my food after 30 minutes of waiting, my friend had almost finished hers. They gave me a cold bowl of food and said that someone had been around with it for ages and I hadn’t claimed it. I recognised the bowl as one a young lad brought round asking if I’d ordered ‘buffalo wings’, which I hadn’t. The food was thrust at me, it was cold. I took it back and got a lot of attitude from chef/kitchen manager, and an offer of ‘well I’ll make you another one but you’ll have to wait for it’. Not a very pleasant experience.
Loved every minute we even extended our stay and booked an extra night
No Netflix on tele most hotels have it
Lovely hotel & great atmosphere with super friendly staff especially the lady at reception
The staff was good especially Blue
The noise from the ac?? and parking paying
Great facilities
Rooms were a bit small
First time staying at this hotel today. Upon checking in this today I was impressed with the courtesy and services that Tyler provided! I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others visiting this area. Tyler is an example of how to treat hotel guests!! Great job
I was very impressed with Village Hotel in Farnborough--we were visiting friends in the area and this hotel was recommended to us. Service was impeccable, Tyler helped us and tended to all our needs. Very professional and caring. I highly recommend this hotel.
Comfy beds
Sound Spin class music blasting out and waking me up at 8am on a Sunday morning
The lady on reception called Blue was lovely, so welcoming.
I preferred the rooms before the refurbishment! A comfy chair is desperately needed by the window. The windows were very dirty on the outside. £10.50 for a glass of wine seemed rather expensive.
Arrived later on in the evening and had fantastic welcome from Anil and Tyler. I believe they were just changing shifts but fantastic people and had a good laugh while checking in. The room was comfortable, clean and an easy sleep and breakfast wasn’t too bad either, can’t complain. Thankyou
Great hotel, great staff especially Tyler who is on the reception helped as much as he can
Stayed in a club room. Room came with an upgraded coffee machine and some other things, but they weren’t that special nor noticeable. The sweet treat they market in the upgrade turned out to be a single club chocolate bar that you could buy in multipack in any supermarket! The room itself was pleasant enough, recently renovated. The rooms overlook the carpark though and can be seen directly into! This is the case during the day, but especially at night. So, if you wanted privacy you had to close the blind entirely, as there’s no foil/net curtains. Good gym and pool facilities, although to access you have to walk through the main reception/restaurant/Starbucks. We ate in the restaurant. This was a little disappointing. Tables dirty and sticky. Starters and mains bought out as one. Several items on the menu unavailable.
Very helpful. Taylor was very good help 👍
