Courtyard Shreveport-Bossier City/Louisiana Boardwalk

The hotel itself was very clean as usual

The staff was very unfriendly, the valet parking is a joke, charged $17.99 a night and not once did they park our vehicle nor did they retrieve it for us, so we basically paid to park in the hotel parking lot that used to be free for guest we have stayed at this property many times over the last 4 to 5 years and always enjoyed our stay the personnel were always very friendly and hospitable but that is not the case now, not sure why they are making so many unnecessary changes but we will not be returning.

Loved the location. Clean. Check in was easy and fast.

Everything was good…air conditioner was a little loud but the room was cool!

Staff was great

Location and clean spacious room

Third party booking instructions said $8.95 for breakfast- no breakfast option except for on site Starbucks

Didn’t get the room I reserved

Everything was everything

The staff is so sweet and helpful

The Pool was closed so grands had nothing to do

Staff double booked my room and didn’t issue a refund

The whole experience poor communication within co workers

Room was canceled due plumbing issues, ending up having to find another hotel

Not enough working outlets or charging ports

My family was in Shreveport for my nephew's surgery at Willis Knighton. We ended up booking rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott in Shreveport due to its proximity to the hospital. Although it is an older hotel, it has recently gone through renovations and updates. They were very well done! My room was updated, clean, smelled fresh. All of the things I look for. The bed was VERY comfortable and provided a great night's sleep after a very stressful day. Additionally, the staff was welcoming and very friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

The entire front desk, bar and kitchen staff(Angie), were all kind and very informative. They young lady whom checked us in was very friendly each time we saw her.

We stayed in the king suite, it is a large room. The living room area furniture was not clean and the bathroom floor and baseboards were not the best.

Sorta bittersweet. Love the new indoor pickleball courts Bitter, there's really nothing left on the boardwalk. No eateries and no shopping.

The staff was excellent, property was very clean

Staff was amazing, rooms very clean, bed super comfortable

The advertised boardwalk was closed, businesses had left. This is not advertised. Front desk said it would be cheaper to go through them, we paid for booking.com instead of hotel itself. The amenities were not amenities. No free coffee, except for a coupke of pkgs in the room, breakfast was not included, boardwalk closed. Very misleading

Comfortable, good value for money!

Everything around it is closed down but Salt Grass Steakhouse, a movie theatre, and Bass Pro. However, the hotel and be blamed for that!

We were in Shreveport for the NGA State Gymnastics meet. The first night we were there we heard scratching inside the walls-like mice kept us up all night. When we left for the first day of the meet, I asked the front desk to move us to a new room. When we returned that night we were given a new room. This room had adjourning doors and when we walked in the smell of marijuana almost knocked us down. There was also loud music coming from the next room. I went to the front desk and told them what was going on. The lady called the room and they said they would quiet down. Within 30 minutes, the music started back up and the marijuana smell was still strong. This was all happening around 10 pm. We packed up and went to stay with another gymnastics family who had rented a house rather than a hotel. I let the lady at the desk know that I was not happy that my kids were trying to get rest to be able to compete and we had to pack up and leave. I told her I wanted. Refund for both nights. She explained that I had to call when the manager was there. I have made 4 calls asking to speak to the manager and was told she was not available but she would call me. I never received a call. Stay elsewhere!

Away from the local casinos, away from the congestion of traffic and foot traffic of the casino visitors.

Great location, but the 1 issue was parking. Not enough parking available that at times i had to park a couple of blocks away inside a parking garage.

It was a perfect stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Everything! Staff was extremely helpful and cooperative. Our room was so comfortable especially the beds. It was a very relaxing stay

Everything was nice.

After the screw up at the other hotel Ms. Pycolyia got me checked in was extremely pleasant and got me right in !!!! I love when people make Marriott look good because I have a IPO with Marriott and when people understand there in hospitality it makes the company look good management great employee we need more people like her

It was clean and the staff was friendly.

No complaints

The lady that checked me, it was so nice and sweet. You so professional she helped me find the information that I need to find on my phone to check in. She need a raise.🥰🥰

There was no free breakfast

The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The river view was a nice surprise as well.

Nothing.

Hotel was very clean, and it was exactly as pictured on the website. I wish I took pictures, but I will say it is just like the website.

The property was perfect. The boardwalk right out the door of the hotel is predominantly empty, but that isn’t the property’s fault.

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Shreveport-Bossier City/Louisianna Boardwalk for one night in mid-April. It was easy to find, a smaller lot…but I had no trouble parking. Check in was quick. This hotel is exactly what you would expect from a Marriott property. Well maintained and clean. Notable that breakfast is not free. I had room 228 – a King downtown/River view. The room was large, clean, comfortable bed, and the standard Marriott amenities. The view of the river is not great…more like the parking lot. The Louisianna Boardwalk was mostly closed down, the only thing I saw open was an indoor pickleball place. Overall was a good place to stop for the night.

This maybe the worst Marriott property that I have ever stayed at!

Everything

Ok location

Everything close to it is shut down

Quiet, nice staff

The elevator call button on the 3rd floor was broken on Friday and remained that way through my stay (Sunday). I saw an ant in the shower. Only 1 sheet one sheet over the mattress & mattress pad on the bad. Outlets built in the light switch next to the bed were loose and didn’t allow for plugging in electronics. The prongs would fall out the outlets.

the Location was great. Friendly and helpful staff

No complaints

Front desk staff excellent.

Location

Very bad smell throughout the facility made my daughter sick to her stomach

Everything was great

Only slight problem was limited parking

Easy to navigate, always someone present

The parking is a nightmare, we were told the parking pass should be visible, because the hotel polices the parking lot, multiple vehicles parked in fire lanes, making the drive through impossible, always had to park way out in the Alley and walk every day and evening, this was our 3rd time staying and has seemed to only worse

Everything was amazing

Easy access to my room, walking distance to a few locations

Had to go ask staff for ice, no ice machine. Kinda hard to locate entrance and the boardwalk didn't have hardly any stores open

Clean rooms, Professional staff

Parking

Esau to get to and clean

The staff was very friendly. The room was good size and the bed was wonderful.

I wish there would have been bottled water in the room.

no breakfast, it should be complimentary for the price of the room.

My family and I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The exterior of the building showed visible mold, and the staff member who assisted us at check-in (an older white woman without a name tag who declined to provide her name) was unprofessional and discourteous. She eventually brought over a male employee who offered no meaningful assistance as he just stood there with his hand on his hip and coffee in the other. Additionally, the elevator was out of service, and the hallway carpets appeared to be poorly maintained. Upon entering our room, we found trash still in the wastebasket, one of the beds looked as though it had already been used, and the pillows provided were unusually small. Later that evening, when preparing for bed, we discovered that the television did not work. When we contacted the front desk, the same male employee answered. He refused to issue a refund, provide another room, or offer any form of accommodation. He stated that he was aware of the issue but could not resolve it. After traveling many hours, we went downstairs to request to speak with the manager, only to be told by this employee that he was the General Manager. At that point, we understood that no resolution would be offered and chose to leave. Overall, the condition of the property and the quality of service were far below expectations. We will not be back to this property and will tell others the same. Not Marriott standard

Breakfast wasn’t free I don’t eat. Everything else was great

Free breakfast

Everything was amazing!! My check in was fast and easy. Everyone was so nice and friendly! The lobby and my room was very clean. I would definitely stay again!

The location was great!!

Not enough parking parking spaces available.

The property was beautiful. Customer service at the bar was excellent, and the food was delicious.

It was beautiful and the staff and hotel manager were very friendly….

It was clean

I liked how close it was to where I was going.

The exterior of the property is in terrible shape and honestly gives a scary first impression when you pull up. The inside is much nicer, but it still needs a lot of work to be worth the $170–$190 a night rate. Overall, the condition just doesn’t match the price.
