Balmoral Motel

Beautiful room, very comfortable bed and very quiet. At reception they were very kind. Will definitely be back.

Well stocked, clean, had everything we needed

Great shower, comfy bed and pillows...things that make or break a stay for me. An easy walk to a shop and the beach.

The heater in the bathroom didn't work, apart from that all good.

Primo location, great stay, friendly staff

Nothing

Nice tidy stove and kitchen. The tv was also very good

Car parking was awful, no where to park with even medium sized vehicles, let alone big vehicles

Nice room with everything you need.

Found the bed a little hard for my liking.

The suite we used was very pleasant, well furnished with excellent cooking facilities and daily servicing of the rooms. The staff were always friendly and adapatable. The motel is on a road which has a nice pub (The Smugglers) a shortish walk away. It is also in walking distance (about 3/4 mile) from the beach and nature reserve.

nothing

Excellent location. The room was very spacious with full kitchen facilities.

Well we have a low pressure shower at home. When on holiday it's nice to have a good shower. But this was very disappointing.

The price,it was good value for money.

It was lacking in toilet paper( we felt for 4 people staying, there could have been more) There was only 1 sink plug for the whole unit, which was a bit of inconvenience.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating of our late arrival. The room was exactly what we had imagined with lots of space, a kitchen and an ensuite bathroom. Very good value for money, too.

Nothing

It was very well laid out and plenty of room and in a quiet location. The staff were exceptionally helpful. It felt like being at home.

It would be good to have more storage shelves in the wardrobe for under clothes which don’t hang up.

Good rate, clean and tidy, good location, friendly staff, 😁

Easy and great location

Bit tight when u hav a big truck but ok

Great to have the full kitchen including the oven and stove top

The oil heater was broken, shower had poor pressure, shower drain cap was broken, gate latch was missing.

It was really a Good value for money .

Great location, beds superb comfy. Great sized unit, exactly what we needed for our stay.

Nothing

Everything was Great 👍

Perfectly adequate room for the two nights we stayed. Clean&tidy with great bathroom. We would stay here again.

Good location. Shower bit low on pressure

Room comfortable

Parking.

Disclosures not provided for Cleaning fee . No daily service Have to chase for changing towel No staff presence Swimming pool in not working No heater in bed rooms

Great location for seeing nelson

We stayed here for a family function, the staff were lovely and communication was great as initially we were going to be checking in late so had a lot of communication for that.

There was nothing we didn't like. Heat pump was great at keeping us warm. Rubbish was emptied daily for us and staff were friendly. Bed are comfortable and warm.

The motel was great and friendly with some adjustments to our booking, flexibility in allowing some of our travelling party to add an extra night on or make a couple of changes as required. The facilities and rooms did exactly what we needed them for with a large group travelling all together for a kids sports tournament

The only one thing we would say could have been better was the stocking up on basic supplies such as toilet paper and coffee sachets etc. Due to the tournament and commitments we had there wasn’t always someone about to ask and so we had to purchase our own to stock these up. Usually motels we find do supply daily stock updates of these, if they don’t usually here that wouldn’t be an issue but would maybe suggest just letting guests know so they can grab whilst out rather than have to go back out to get. This wouldn’t impact us staying again though, as I said very flexible and accommodating which was great

good bang for my buck

Amazing view lovely clean sweet great kitchenette and bathroom

Our friend forgot her AirPod in this Motel and when we check one day later and the staff found it. Good staff ☺️

Always a comfortable stay here. It’s simple but has everything you need. I think we’ve been here four (?) times now, and will be back again.

Warm and cosy, great value for money. Loved being by the beach. Great location.

A little dated, but absolutely fine.

It was exactly what we needed at a great price point. Had everything we needed.

Exactly what we where after as a base Fantastic staff

Easy, cosy and comfy. Felt safe.

Little bit loud when people upstairs were walking around

The room was clean.

The mattress was either a very cheap model or been around for too many years = very poor sleep. Also the photos on Booking.com lead to disappointment when you arrive and understand how dated the facility is. Of note is that the swimming pool was green and incorrectly treated. Poor maintenance of the pool leads to wondering what else is poor at the facility. Very disappointing.

The service at the front desk was excellent, friendly and prompt. The beds and 2 bedroom unit was extremely comfortable for 4 people with good amenities and a substantial sized bathroom. Had everything that we needed. It was easy to find and easy access after a long day of driving as we even arrived to see the memorial fireworks display on the beach which was only a short walk away.

The only issue we had was that the microwave was hard to work, couldn't for the life of us work it out and did not find the manual until the next morning as it was tucked away on a high shelf.

It was well laid out.

The shower sump smelt really badly

The price of the room was reasonable and the receptionist was friendly.

Good location, friendly receptionist and nice and clean place

Ample towels, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and bedrooms very clean.

Perhaps a sachet of plunger coffee instead of just instant coffee. There was a coffee plunger but no ground coffee to use with it.

Clean tidy good size room and very comfortable bed

Shower pressure was a bit low

The staff were friendly, service was quick and easy

Pool wasn't accessible

Very clean

If you check out early no proper return keys

was nice and clean

some of the beds very uncomfortable

Location was great ,easy to find

We liked everything definitely stay there again

No problems. A lovely spot.

Cleanliness

Too tight parking

A bit run down

They dont take you to your room or show you where to park

Highly recommend. The whole unit was a good size, the bathroom was nice and big with a great shower. The beds were so comfortable. My sister used the pool and said it was lovely and crisp. The location was fantastic.

Nothing that I can think of

Good location

Booked two units of two bedrooms apartment last year. When arrived was told only one unit and the other one is one bedroom and sofa bed in living room.☹️

Units clean and well equipped and tastefully decorated.Staff very accommodating . Would recommend

Location was great . Walking distance bar resteraunts and garage

Lovely, friendly staff When we informed the lady that our arrival time was delayed due to the ferry sailing 3 hours late, she offered to let us a very late check out time of noon the next day. We considered that was very kind. Our unit had a great shower.

We were in a unit close to an intersection it was too noisy for me (I am a light sleeper though).

Il motel è molto accogliente e a due passi dalla spiaggia. La stanza molto comoda ha una cucina dotata di tutto. C'è anche una lavanderia e una piccola biblioteca per scambio libri.

Walking distance to lots of eateries.

Dated but good accomodation for one night. Value for money

Nice clean room. Good size with cooking facilities.

Bed was too soft my liking. Felt like I wasn't supported and felt like id roll off the bed.

Location suited us well halfway between airport and hospital or town but close to a few restaurants bars and shops

Comfortable bed, spacious unit, good price

Water pressure is terrible. Toilet seat broken. We were in ground unit and could loudly hear unit occupants above walking around, opening doors, etc. Spoilt our 2 nights. Office opened between 9 and 10, but 3x I went in no one was available. We checked out after 9 office doors were still locked and nowhere to deposit key. So left on doorstep

Super lovely person at front desk! And great location for Weetbix triathlon stay.

The receptionist was lovely.

Bit noisy

Easy check in and comfortable rooms

Location didn’t seem the nicest and the premises seemed a little tired

Gut eingerichtete Unterkunft.

The unit we had was spacious and clean and we all found the beds comfortable. We didn't use the cooking facilities and while basic, they seemed fine. Location was superb for our needs and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Nothing negative

Eenvoudig, meeste wat je nodig hebt voor een paar dagen is aanwezig.

Gehorig.

The shower head was very small, water pressure ok
