Abisko Lodge

I really liked the self check-in — I found it really easy to use and straightforward. The public seating area was a nice feature, especially with the fire going, and there were lots of board games available to use. The location was also great, with shops and pubs all within easy walking distance.

The fridge in my room made a constant buzzing sound throughout the night, which kept waking me up as I’m a light sleeper. The bathroom fan also made a really unpleasant noise when the light was turned on. I had a look at it, and it seemed like it could benefit from a really good clean to remove the dust, which may make a big difference to the noise.

I’m it was great value for money. The lounge and drying room were great and we enjoyed using the spa and sauna. The kids loved it! Convenient location and comfy beds. Board games and tv in the lounge were awesome.

The check-in was a bit confusing, particularly knowing where to go and where to park. Others who arrived also were unclear about what to do! Our room was mostly clean, although the shared areas of the lodge could have been cleaner. For the price, though, it was reasonable. A hairdryer in the room or lodge would also have been a useful addition.

Not much in the way of off-road parking, the room was not ready at 2 o'clock and the walls are very thin, so you can hear everything from the nextvroom.

Clean convenient for the ski slopes warm tidy. It was great having microwave hot water and tea and coffee making facilities breakfast bowls in the morning in the restaurant to make our own breakfast. Also being able to eat our evening takeaway meals in the restaurant.

Staffs don't reply to our messages informing them we are coming in late around 10pm/ no follow ups text or call acknowledging our notice. Only automated text sent out to everyone for self explanatory self checking-in via text or on arrival over kiosk machine self.checking in. We arrived very late night past 10pm & the room was way too cold on the heights of winter time- heater was not put on for us prior to our arrival. And there was not enough warm blankets for 4 people- we only had 2 small sized thin fleece blanket taken from cupboard & all the inner sheets are also cold meant for summertime only. Luckily, there is electric blanket for 3 beds to somehow gives warm, but still not warm enough to keep us warm overnight as the heater is not warm enough even on a maximum temperature to heat up the whole room plus no extra warm blankets to use.

A wonderful location for nearby cafes and restaurants. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was super-comfortable. Everything was supplied for tea and coffee making. Loved the Smart TV.

The room was clean. The lady we spoke with was lovely.

The bed was very hard. The fridge was so smelly when I opened it. Then realised it was because it was switched off at the wall. It was so so stink! I didn’t trust the milk in it so bought my own. The spa and the sauna didnt look appealing at all. We were really looking forward to the spa. We didn’t use it. Past reviews said they supply a continental breakfast but we didn’t see anything of that.

Fatima was a beautiful soul and tried her best when a major mistake was that the lodge was actually closed for maintenance… she allowed us to have a room though . But we missed out on the facilities advertised that was included in the price we paid . We are trying to get a partial refund from the owner and booking. com . We stayed in the room which was very clean. But it felt strange being there completely alone. With no lounge area or spa and sauna closed .

The property was advertised and took our payment but was actually closed for maintenance.nonone there when we arrived. Had to make phone calls. It looked tired and all shut up. Didn’t enjoy my night there except for the lovely Fatima who is employed there.

Good location. Once checked in, the key codes for the door was easy to use. Towels were folded nicely on the edge of the bed and toiletries/hot drink supplies were nice.

Not enough parking. I struggled with the check in process, Abisko Lodge have a self check in process but there was no communication about this or information about room number etc to try and self check in. They did have a number there to call for help, which I did, but I felt like an inconvenience to the man. Shower was dirty, toilet was dirty. Pillows were thin and only one for sleeping with. There were no photos of the bathroom and now we know why! I expected a lot more for $200/night and especially coming from the beautiful Opuke Pools and Spa. Perhaps the price is high due to the isolated location but the accommodation was definitely a "downer" of our weekend getaway. My husband and I ended up leaving and traveling elsewhere for a nice night's stay.

Was clean and good location

The shower pressure was very minimal. Usually I take our breakfast but the email said there was a complimentary breakfast. When we went to go to it it was all closed up. Rang buzzer and lady said oh we forgot to change email and that it was only available during winter. We then had to purchase it at 30.00. Very disappointing.

Breakfast is perfect and decoration is super warm, the heat is provided and the employees of lodge are nice~

The bed was really uncomfortable and the rubbish bin in the bathroom was full when we arrived. The walls are very thin so there is a lot of noise from other guests.

The continental breakfast was a nice surprise and the lounge area was nice and cozy with a nice fire. The staff-less check in and all the rooms having code locks was a nice touch so we didn't have to juggle keys around. The room was quiet spacy and plenty of room to store your gear.

There wasn't much I didn't like about the place, it's just an older lodging but nothing bad. I would imagine if you were someone looking to ski in the local mountains that it would be much more suitable than us just stopping in over night.
