Struttura accogliente e staff cordiale e disponibile. Colazione e cena a buffet variegata.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We stayed on the 4th floor in a Junior Superior Suite with a sea view, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The suite was spacious, beautifully clean, and very comfortable. We were especially impressed by all the thoughtful welcome gifts waiting for us – a fridge stocked with drinks, a bottle of local wine, and a lovely basket of fresh fruit. Such a nice surprise and a wonderful way to start our stay! Everything was taken care of perfectly throughout our stay. Coffee and tea for the in-room coffee machine were replenished daily, and we always had fresh towels and bed linen. The food was excellent, fresh, and varied, with plenty of choice every day. We truly didn’t miss a thing. What made our stay even more special was the hotel staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile. Their warm and welcoming attitude really made us feel at home. A truly lovely hotel with a wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rethymno!
We stayed at Kriti Beach for 10 nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent. Rather than offering an overwhelming selection, the hotel focused on high-quality ingredients and consistently well-prepared meals. Even our children enjoyed every meal, which says a lot. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. A well-managed hotel with a pleasant atmosphere. We would gladly stay here again.
Location and great breakfast
Pool very small onlt 6 sunbeds
The property was lovely, close to everything and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a variety of foods to choose from and was delicious.
Air con was set and couldn’t be changed, got a bit cold at night with only one sheet in the bed.
Perfect location - beach front and close to shopping, restaurants and a short walk to the old town. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was definitely a highlight!
Nothing.
Location is excellent — sea right across the street. Rooms and common areas were very clean. Nice touch being able to leave luggage, use showers/changing rooms and get towels if you have a late flight. There was also a bottle of wine in the room, a nice welcome touch. Staff are a mix — some very friendly, others a bit arrogant. Food was good and portions were sufficient, but not very varied. On the downside, several things made it feel below 5-star level: - Pool is small and right next to the eating area and the main street — the Booking photos didn't really convey how small it is, though this may just be a space/location limitation. - Elevators are quite small — I doubt a stroller would even fit. Not ideal for families with young children. - Towels are only changed every 3 days. No self-service coffee machine at breakfast — coffee is only served from a filter carafe brought to the table, or made to order at the bar (cappuccino etc.). There's no dedicated barista — the same staff member who makes the coffee is also busy setting up and arranging the tables, which causes delays. A proper coffee machine where guests could make their own coffee would have made a big difference. Coffee was served quite slowly most mornings, except for our last day, when it came quickly. There's also no coffee machine in the rooms — just a kettle and instant coffee, so there's no way to make a proper coffee at any point during the stay. -Extra charges felt like a low-cost airline model, taking advantage of almost every situation through their policies: beach loungers require a minimum €3 /€ 20 consumption at the bar, and the breakfast drinks policy is confusing and inconsistently applied. One day a waiter told us the bar was closed, yet served cappuccino to another table — I had to go order it myself in person. Another time, after leaving the breakfast area and ordering a coffee from the smoking terrace, we were only informed when it was served that it would be charged €4, per their policy — even though we were still within breakfast hours (7:30–10:00). We raised this with reception, not to dispute paying for it, but as constructive feedback that for a 5-star hotel, this kind of policy feels more like a low-cost airline nickel-and-diming guests wherever possible. Staff were quite firm and didn't seem open to reconsidering it. At checkout I also asked directly about the coffee policy and got conflicting answers — first "one coffee per day," then "as many as you want but only if you stay in the breakfast area, otherwise you pay if you're on the smoking terrace." The policy remains unclear even after asking. At check-in, some information was given only in Greek — partly on us for not asking for an English version at the time, but it should probably be offered by default. Overall: great location and clean, but small elevators, no coffee-making options, confusing breakfast policies, inconsistent service, average food for the category, barista attitude and a "pay for everything" approach to extras made it feel more like a solid mid-range hotel than a true 5-star experience.
Everything was just perfect, from the kind staff, welcome bottle of wine, outstanding breakfast and dinner and generous beach. Hope to visit again next year this beautiful hotel
La colazione buona è la posizione ottima

Excellent location, good food and value for money. The service from staff was of a high standard. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. All areas within the hotel were also kept clean to a high standard. This hotel is a smaller hotel but you are in Rethymno where all the action is from culture to tourism and much more.
Location and some of the staff were nice
There are several serious issues with this hotel and, frankly, I genuinely do not believe this property qualifies as a 5-star hotel. At best, I would rate it as a 3.5-star property. The main issues I experienced were: 1. The room was extremely old and worn out. The floor was visibly uneven (I have photos), the shower clearly had plumbing issues, and the toilet seat was loose and not properly fixed. 2. The cleanliness standards throughout the hotel were unacceptable. The corridors and common areas were poorly maintained, and I personally saw blood stains and vomit that had not been cleaned properly. 3. The parking is not located on-site as advertised or implied. It is around a 4–5 minute walk away, underground, and in an unpleasant and somewhat intimidating area, especially at night. And it’s chargeable!!!! 4. The hotel only allows guests to change beach towels once every three days. I travel frequently and have genuinely never experienced such a policy at any hotel claiming to be 5-star. 5. The reception manager was unfriendly, dismissive, and appeared completely uninterested in customer experience or resolving concerns. 6. The lift/elevator situation is extremely poor. The lift is tiny, very slow, and clearly insufficient for the size of the hotel. During busy periods, waiting times can easily become excessive, forcing most guests to use the stairs instead. Thankfully we stayed on the first floor, but for guests on higher floors, elderly guests, or anyone with mobility issues, this would be a major problem. 7- Breakfasts finishs at 10am 8- Beach is chargeable - again so odd for a beach hotel. 9- We got a different room than what we booked My biggest issue is the false advertising and lack of clarity on what exactly are you booking. Overall, after visiting Greece regularly for the past six years, usually 2–3 times per year, and staying in more than 15 hotels across the country, this has by far been my worst hotel experience.
Super
Excellent service at good value! used this hotel to attend a wedding in area. Room quality was excellent: size, cleanliness and furnishings all great value. Reserved ocean view room and enjoyed balcony view of beach. Staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful -- housekeeping was prompt; front desk ready to assist; restaurant/bar had great service. Great value for the area; will stay again.
The location of the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful
The room - en Executive room - was very small
Tuż przy plaży z darmowymi leżakami, 10 minut spacerkiem do starego miasta. W pobliżu liczne restauracje. Piękny apartament na najwyższym piętrze, z jacuzzi i widokiem na morze. Niespodzianka w pokoju w postaci szampana i deski owoców. Pyszny świeżo wyciskany sok z pomarańczy, w niedzielę nawet prosecco :) Przesympatyczna i pomocna obsługa w całym hotelu. Gorąco polecam! Zdecydowanie 5 gwiazdek!
Läget och vänligt mottagande i receptionen.
Frukosten - rörigt och stressad personal.
Walkable location to explore old town Rethymnon and easy beach access. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
The hotel is owned by the "OK Hotel" chain and that is the best way to describe the hotel, it was OK. First of all the staff were amazing and excellent. Helpful, friendly and a credit to the hotel. The rooms were nice, clean and tidy. The food was average, tasty but a bit "samey" - to be fair, the meats (Chicken, Pork and especially the Lamb were great.) but if you were veggie, it would be disappointing. Down as 5 star (but we never go from these ratings) and it certainly would not be 5. Overall, Okay.
The breakfast was very good mainly thanks to the very kind and helpful chefs working in the kitchen. They were polite, welcoming and clearly doing their best to provide a pleasant experience for the guests. However, for a 5-star hotel the breakfast does not meet the expected standard. It would be perfectly acceptable for a 3- or 4-star hotel, and in that case I would even rate it as excellent. But for a hotel that advertises itself as 5 stars, the variety and overall level should be higher.
The room we booked was supposed to accommodate three adults. In reality it is a room for two adults with a small extra bed clearly intended for a child. The hotel should inform guests about this in advance. An adult sleeping for six nights on such a bed will most likely end up with serious back pain. Our room (number 121) was located on the first floor in what felt more like a basement area, right next to the service entrance where deliveries for the hotel take place. Sleeping was possible only until around 6 a.m., after which the noise started — deliveries, unloading products and taking out garbage. If you are offered this room, I strongly recommend refusing it. When I asked for another room, the hotel offered one only with an additional charge of 50 euros per day. There was also a very strange internal door connecting our room with room 120. Because of this thin door, the sound insulation was practically nonexistent. When the guest in room 120 was whispering on the phone, it sounded as if he was inside our room. Privacy and quiet were clearly not part of the experience. Regarding cleanliness, I prefer to be honest. The carpet in the corridor leading to the room was extremely dirty. During our six-day stay the bed sheets were not changed even once, although the towels were changed every day. Room cleaning was minimal. For example, the ashtray on the balcony remained full of cigarette butts for the entire six days and was never emptied. The room was also not vacuumed during our stay. In my opinion, Booking also shares part of the responsibility because the room description was misleading. Overall, the location and the kitchen staff were the only positive aspects of our stay.

Super Hotel w kurorcie Retimno. . Do centrum starego miasta i starego portu i twierdzy spacerkiem 15 minut wzdłuż plaży. Blisko.

Well located hotel opposite the beach. Hotel was nice, clean and had a great breakfast offering. The staff were also very good, both the bellboy and man at reception were friendly and helpful.
Sehr gutes Frühstück mit frischen Omeletts. Direkt am Strand mit eigenen Liegen. Sehr nah zum Hafen und zur Altstadt. Sehr nettes Personal.
Visited the hotel together with family, very good location, close to the beach and supermarkets. Tasty, good quality food and great service. Slow elevators otherwise nothing wrong at all. Would recommend.
We love this place (Its our 3rd stay at Kriti Beach , have also stayed at Kyma Beach earlier in Spring 2025). Its all very simple, Hotels very comfy ,food is good ,close to beach and old town. Best bit is the staff .They are a lovely bunch of people and great fun .We would like to think they are all becoming our friends ,it certainly feels that way . We would certainly recommend staying at either Hotel . Margaret and I will certainly be returning in 2026 !!
Posizione, letto comodo, ottima colazione
Piscine piccole
Super emplacement de l'hôtel. Buffets petit déjeuner au top et variés . Personnel efficace et serviable
Pas de point négatif
Sehr gute Lage gegenüber dem langen Sandstrand. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Personal sehr freundlich
The location right across from the beach, walking distance to the city centre, very friendly staff, great facilities and great breakfast.
We could hear our neighbours and their baby in the room next door

Very nice location
This hotel seems to be oriented to a more adult clientèle. It is not a party hotel. We visited with a family with two teens. (Our daughter especially liked our friendly waitress Joanna.) The family room offers a excellent option to have seperate bedrooms. Our room even offered both rooms their own balcony. If you close the windows the sound from the street is very manageable. (The airconditioning works quietly.) Expect friendly and professional staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms, en a very nice buffet restaurant. They do have a à la carte, but with the selection changing every night the buffet was excellent enough we did not need anything else. The pool is a tad small, but with free beach beds across the road, it doesn't matter. (They do require you order at least one drink. But that can also be a bottle of water.) If available, the hotel parking is very cheap. But do require you to be able to handle a car in narrow spaces. (But if you rent a car in Crete you will have to be able to do that anyway.) I would very much recommend the hotel.
Kriti Beach Hotel – Rethymno’s Seaside Embrace Some hotels offer a stay. Kriti Beach Hotel offers a HOMECOMING. From the moment you step into its light-filled lobby, you’re met with the kind of welcome that feels less like check-in and more like being greeted by old friends. Elegant concierges erase the miles of travel with warm smiles, anticipating needs you didn’t even know you had. Upstairs, modern, immaculate rooms open to balconies (reserve it) that catch the sea breeze, framing Rethymno’s beachfront streets. Mornings bring bountiful breakfasts; evenings, sumptuous dinners — Cretan classics, Mediterranean and international favorites — open-air terrace seating where the scent of grilled herbs mingles with salt air. Every bite is rich with the soul of home cooking, as though a beloved YiaYia has been cooking all day just just for you. Even the cocktails (colorful, delicious, and made with love), arrive with an easy warmth from the bar staff, who remember not just your drink but your stories. By day, the inviting pool offers a cool, refreshing dip beneath a captivating stone fountain wall. By night, as dinner unfolds, the cascade trickles as a mythological waterfall so magical you half expect Athena and Zeus to appear. Step outside, and the private stretch of sand — with sun loungers reserved for hotel guests (no charge except front row) is your VIP chaise on the Aegean. Attentive beach staff, the quiet heroes of the hotel, dash between umbrellas with chilled drinks, full bar menu, meze (snacks), and sunny grins. Twice a week, as the horizon melts into ten shades of blue and purple only found in Crete, live music swirls poolside for dining guests: a lilting bouzouki/ keys/vocals one evening, a graceful piano-vocal duo the next, blending Greek classics with contemporary international songs. At Kriti Beach Hotel, you arrive a guest — and leave aching to return to the family you’ve found.
Leaving. ;-)
Very good 😊
“My stay was absolutely outstanding. Everything exceeded my expectations – from the spotless cleanliness of the entire place to the incredibly warm, helpful, and professional staff. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, and the breakfast each morning was simply exceptional – fresh, varied, and delicious. I genuinely felt cared for and appreciated every moment of my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-quality service and a truly memorable experience. I will definitely come back!”
I spent in this amazing hotel 7 nights/8 days. Everything was exceptional: the accommodation, the services, the food. The rooms are cleaned every day. The food is so various and so tasty that you have to pay attention if you don’t want to come back with so many kilos, but anyway is vacation :). Congrats, Chef :). The staff: everybody is organized and even they work a lot, they smile and are polite. My favorite waitress is Celeste, the nice lady with red hair :), very professional and very Last, but not least. Also. The reception. The team is very friendly, but my favourite is Adonis, the best guide ever. He gave us a lot of important info regarding other places we wanted to visit. He is funny and a very pleasant company. Overall experience: excellent ♥️ I would definetly recommend.this hotel.
Standard gutes Hôtel am Strand.
We were taken care of in every way. Just fantastic hotel and staff. It's difficult to explain how good the place and staff were.
Some of the lower staff
I did not understand what makes this hotel a 5 star
Position
Needs refurb
Check in was a cluster. I got a "side sea view" room, which was $$, and I got a room that has ZERO sea view and they kept trying to say I got an upgrade to a "suite" (which it was not). I wanted water, I got none, and they insisted, rudely, that I was in the wrong. Eventually they changed me to a side sea view. IMO there is NO WAY this is a 4-5 star resort. 2 at best. Seems like a cheap motel with a nice restaurant and pool with sea front views.
Excellent location and friendly staff
Didn’t see anyone use the pool throughout our stay
Nice location. We enjoyed our days by the pool and on the beach. Air conditioner was fabulous, we could get the room ice cold! Short walk to old town. Gorgona restaurant next door was our favourite place to eat. Hotel’s piccolo was very friendly and helpful. Extra points to him.
Staff were delightful...very helpful and spoke good english Gave us good recommendations of 3 restaurants in Town
Location is great, near harbor and old town within 5-10min walking distance
Breakfast is not great, lack of seasoning and variety
Great breakfast, super location opposite the hotel's private beach!
Hotel sits over the road from the beach. A friendly staff welcome you to the hotel and look after you during your stay. Public rooms are light and airy. The lifts are small and somewhat claustrophobic and I preferred the stairs, kept me fit. The pools are plunge not exercise pools. The sunbathing areas are limited and adjacent to noisy and busy streets. The hotel provide sun loungers which are staffed and food and drink can be delivered by staff to the beach. The swimming is safe and enjoyable. There is a range of water sports that can be accessed from local suppliers. The rooms are quite small as is the balcony and if you like to spend time in your room it is doable but not the most comfortable. A good size bathroom with a powerful and good shower. The rooms are cleaned daily , just as well as if you come off the beach you will drop sand on the tile floors. There is a great range of bars and restaurants local to the hotel. The marina , harbour and old town are in an easy walk from the hotel. There is a good range of stuff shops bars and tavernas offering a good selection of meals. Most places are reasonably priced though caution needs to be taken when eating at the harbour.
Es war ein sehr netter Empfang. Modernes Hotel.
We are just back from a relaxing break at Kriti Beach Hotel. My husband and I have had a delightful 7 night stay from 1st November till 8th November 2024. We stayed in room 417 a side view (more direct view) of the sea. The room was well equipped and very clean, maid service and fresh towels daily. We were full board guests and enjoyed the food and variety also received excellent service from the bar and waiting staff. Always greeted and all staff very polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel and it’s fabulous staff to anyone looking to go to crete. The location is a short walk away from the picturesque harbour with its quaint buildings/boats/cafes. Also the beautiful old town of Rethymnon which is a lot bigger than we anticipated. The beach is directly across the road from the hotel with its own sun lounges/beach towels also provided with no extra cost you simply return them when finished and place in the laundry box in reception. The indoor pool is small but nice to relax in towels again supplied, the outdoor heated pool is much larger. We hope to return in the future. Thank you Kriti Beach Hotel for a wonderful stay.
The staff were very helpful and friendly Carissa in particular and Michalis provided us with great advice on were to go on the island. Thank you.
Location was great and the breakfast was excellent.
Excellent staff servicee and excellent breakfast
no pool amenities - way too small
The staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly.
I liked everything.
The Kriti Beach hotel, is the best hotel in Crete my wife and I have stayed , we have spent 5 holidays in crete and this was the best service we've received. From reception to dining room staff , cleaning staff kept the room immaculate. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, waiting staff were top quality, tried fine dining restaurant received 5 star service and the best lamb dish in Crete. The beach beds were cleaned regularly and the staff friendly. I would recommend that Kriti Beach hotel to anyone and we'll be going back next year.
Such a lovely hotel. Very comfortable beds and the views are stunning. The staff is what made my experience ever so memorable. Chrissa I can’t thank enough for her hospitality professionalism and kindness. Panos at the front desk who is always available to help with any questions and for his professionalism. Fotis who makes the best Mojitos ever and her lovely personality. Antonis who goes far and beyond. Magda, Celesta, Despina and Christos. Thank you all for making my stay so wonderful. I will be back for sure.
The hotel is very well run, located approximately 15 minute walk from the harbour, the old town and the fortress. The food is very good, with different dishes available every night and lots of choice. The house white wine was very drinkable! The staff work really hard and give a very good service in the restaurant, as everywhere in the hotel. The bar at the front of the hotel is well run and always busy, again with excellent service. ( he makes a very good Mai Tai!) Entertainment on a couple of the evenings was also very good. The hotel beach across the road is easily accessible, and the rooms are very comfortable and regularly cleaned. All round, would recommend and I would definitely return to this hotel.
The staff were the absolute best. We were with our 3 yr old and they were amazing with taking and looking out for her.
The pool
The luggage person was nice and helpful at the entrance They did try and help with baby bath which they didn’t have. Breakfast was fine
This is not a 5 stars hotel. The lobby and elevator smells of cigarettes, the elevator is tiny, couldn’t get inside with the baby’s stroller. The air conditioning in the room is very hold and takes time to cool, if you leave the room or open the balcony’s window, it shuts off and takes time to cool again. It is not view to the sea, it is side view. The rooms are small , we couldn’t open our luggage since we also have a baby and needed a bed for him. We shortened our trip and didn’t stay there the whole time we were supposed to because we didn’t have any space.
Just spent 2weeks at Kriti with my daughter, and what a great place to stay it was. Location is very good, nearby old town, Fortezza, shopping possibilities, and great beach right across street. Our room was comfy and our fantastic cleaning lady kept it beautifully clean and fresh on daily basis. Overall staff was very nice and helpful, also service at Kriti’s beach area was just awesome. Breakfast and dinner buffets were great, allot of good and tasty food to choose from, and i.e. omelettes prepared according to customers’ choice @breakfast. There was a dress code for dinner, which i personally was happy with. I rather see ppl dressing nicely for dinner, than not. I’ll choose Kriti Hotel if my way leads back to Rethymno at some point. I already miss time we spent there even though been back home only 2days by now :)
Excellent location with a private beach, a lot of places with delicious food. Friendly and willing to help staff, particularly at the reception desk. They assisted us with a travel recommendations and taxi to airport.
Not a big issue, but in a family suit, while an air conditioner works pretty well in the main room, it is somehow weak in the children's room. I also do not understand why you need to put 2 separate beds in the main room...
Great rooms, great location, really friendly staff and wonderful buffet breakfast.
Nothing
Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. They also provided us with a complimentary sunset boat tour which was marvelous. Beach is also great.
Food could be better
Location, the hotel is right in front of the seaside and has access to a private beach. Air conditioning was also good as the temperature outside was hot. The bed was comfortable although we had 2single beds instead of a double bed
The overall look of the hotel felt old and dated. At first glance the room looked clean and tidy, but on closer inspection the tv had a thick layer of dust on top & there were several long black hairs on the bathroom floor (I’m blonde & husband is bald) also the paper doily under the drinking glasses looked like they’d been there for weeks. Breakfast was very chaotic, with waiting staff running around like crazy. Looking like they didn’t want to be there. The food offer wasn’t great either. Plenty of choices but the quality was poor.
The first day of our stay we were denied entry to the restaurant for dinner because our son was wearing croc shoes (12 years old). In order to use the services, we were forced to purchase appropriate footwear. We were surprised to see in the following days how family members of the staff and certain selected guests violate this dress code with the permission of the staff who did not allow us to enter.
We were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is nice, the breakfast is good and the location is excellent. Above all, the friendly and cordial staff make me recommend the hotel to others. If you want to visit Rethymno, come here.
