Fantastisk personale, hjelpsom med alt. Fint hotell, rent og ryddig over alt. Beliggenheten er super. Rommene var fine, utsikt til sjø, ble oppgradert til sjø utsikt. Fint bassenområde på toppen. Frokostsalen og frokosten var veldig god, påfyll og rydding pågikk konstant fra noen smilene jenter. Vi kommer gjerne tlbake.

Decor tired and bathroom poor - shower would not stay in holder so could only use as a hand held. Coffee at breakfast awful.

The location, breakfast included, friendly staff, roof top deck, nice rooms.

Pigeons and their poop on the roof top deck around the swimming pool and outdoor shower area. Recommend a designated staff member to clean the deck daily and something to be done to deter the pigeons from landing and hanging out on the deck..

I tried twice to make some own tee but the electricity was shut due to some problems with the kettle. They should have made breakfast boxes on our second and last day.

Nice hotel with top roof pool. International mixt cohort, more on the pension side, which may prove challenging sometimes at the pool, if you travel with kids (as we did). Not a biggie though. The place is like a 5-min walk away from the closest beach, but much closer to shops and restaurants. No parking is available exclusively for the hotel, but it is free to park on the streets (as long as you can squeeze your car in as one gets out). Breakfast is buffet style, nice variety, yet little variation from one day to another during our 7-night stay. Every member of the staff did their best to make our stay perfect and we are thankful to everyone. Big hugs and thanks to Erica, who was very nice to us and the kids. Coffee (in Greece and at this hotel as well) is absolutely horrendous (which I knew about so I brought my own from home).

The hotel is in a great location only a few minutes walk to the Old Town which offers great shops, bars and restaurants. We stayed for 10 nights and all meals in the old town were fabulous and good value. The roof pool is great, and the breakfast offers something for everybody. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view over the garden. The ladies who clean the rooms everyday were so happy and friendly and made our room so lovely for when we returned at the end of the day. A fridge in the room was great, and the air con worked perfectly. At this hotel the staff are absolutely fabulous, so friendly, helpful, happy and very hospitable and that made our stay even better… the breakfast girls who also looked after the roof pool/bar. A special mention for the lovely .. Erofili Silia Euaggelia Erica Also the reception team, who were always so helpful and friendly especially Costas, who my husband enjoyed a chat with whilst waiting for us to get ready of an evening! Thank you for our wonderful, happy family holiday ! I would highly recommend you choose to stay!

My only comment would be that the bathrooms need a bit of modernising, but with that said everything else far outweighed that for us.

Η ευγένεια του προσωπικού άγγιζε την τελειότητα , όλοι πρόθυμοι και διαθέσιμοι να μας εξυπηρετήσουν. Πολύ καλή καθαριότητα στα δωμάτια και σε όλους τους χώρους του ξενοδοχείου. Εξαιρετικό πρωινό και εξυπηρέτηση. Η τοποθεσία είναι στο ιδανικό μέρος για όλες τις ανάγκες, κοντά σε παραλία, στη παλιά πόλη, στο μεγάλο Parking της Μαρίνας, αλλά και σε μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς και ταξί.

The staff was excellent, big thanks to Poppy at reception, she is such a gem! We felt truly welcomed and had the best time! I was having my birthday, so the hotel gifted us a delicious chocolate cake, such a nice gesture, thank you so much! The location was perfect, close to the beach and to city center, somewhere in between! The facilities and the mattresses were comfortable, a lot of space in the room and in the bathroom to put make-up and skin care! The breakfast was continental, tasty omelette by the way, maybe would prefer some more fruits and a salad with lettuce, but still very good!

Sicuramente un’opzione valida per soggiornare a Retimno Vicino al lungomare ed alla città vecchia . Considerate che la zona è loro caotica e se non trovate parcheggio( per colpo di fortuna) dovrete pagare . Il valore aggiunto che mi ha fatto comunque dare un giudizio positivo è il bellissimo giardino interno dove fare colazione e la piscina seppur piccola, sul tetto con una bella vista!

La struttura è molto datata ma la cosa che proprio non posso accettare è che ci sia un bagno con il piatto doccia piccolo e con una tenda che neanche arriva alle caviglie! Risultato tutta l’acqua fuori !! Condizionatore super datato e rumoroso. Colazione con molta scelta ma il succo di arancia chimico anche no!

Clean, quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast and the rooftop Pool

The location is very close to everything. The staffs are very friendly and you ask them any questions you like even for restaurants reservations. The gentleman who was at reception helped me to get a parking spot in front of the hotel. We were so grateful for that. It was not easy for the first time when we are the foreigners to drive in Crete. We were so lucky that we had a room upgraded. Thank you very much for all the staff and managers.

De vriendelijkheid van het personeel. IEDEREEN is heel erg vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam. De locatie van het hotel is ook geweldig. Vlakbij het strand en de old town wat voor ons geweldig is. Supermooie zaakjes en heel erg lekker eten. Het ontbijt is ook lekker. Niet heel erg uitgebreid maar voor ieder toch wat wils.

- I HAVE to look at Achillion Palace as a hotel with NO POOL. There's 20 sunbeds and 72 rooms.. Pool OPENS at 10.30 which was a huge disappointment. The first 20 people get sunbeds and even if you queue before pool opening its not a given you get a spot. The sunbeds were packed for the whole day For us who's holiday usually starts with a early breakfast and then off to pool to relax, the opening hours and lack of sunbeds really affected our one week stay. We did get sunbeds for coule days, but we were also forced to seek other activies for daytime troughout the week because we couldnt use the pool and sunbeds. So if pooltime is a big part of your stay, I STRONGLY suggest you find another hotel for that. You might not get one with a superb location, but id choose another one any given day. - Poolside bar/kitchen. I'd say about 30-35% of the menu's food options were crossed out and not available - Got a make up for our room every day, but they did not replenish instant coffee servings and new mugs/classes every day. Had to go to reception for that every time. -Bathrooms really need some renevation and the tub for showering was not so user friendly -Breakfast very moderate (6/10). Some times there was no juice/ all foods left -Room TV was from the 80's. No screen mirroring/chromecast/Wi-Fi - No winebottle openers or wine classes in the room. Had to go to reception for that every time - Last night when I went to get my wine opened the reception staff gave me attitude about it and also told me that "Do you know theres a pool bar, where you can also purchase wine? maybe you should go there to buy some". Do they really think guests dont want to purchase and experience new wines by theyre own liking and have to just settle on the couple ones the hotel has to offer? And maybe some guests want to enjoy the wine on the balcony and not with other guests at the pool bar..

Achillion Palace er en sann perle. Det kan skryte av en fantastisk beliggenhet i gangavstand fra både stranden og sentrum av Rethymno. Det er et fantastisk takbasseng med panoramautsikt – et fredelig sted med mange solsenger og en bar som serverer drinker og snacks. Frokosten er veldig god, og det skyggefulle atriumet er nydelig. Vi likte alt ved det. Det som virkelig gjør oppholdet uforglemmelig, er imidlertid gjestfriheten og varmen til personalet. Det er rent og koselig, og du kan virkelig føle at ledelsen og de ansatte bryr seg om gjestene sine. Vi nøt hvert minutt av oppholdet vårt og vil gjerne komme tilbake.

Excellent location right between the beach and Rethymno old town - Very helpful staff. I had an issue with noise in the first room. The night manager sorted the problem out very quickly after I went to reception at midnight, unable to sleep due to kitchen fan noise. The next morning, when the noise started again, I was moved to a quieter room. -Anna, the housemaid did an amazing job of telling me which side of the hotel was quieter and cleaning my room to an excellent standard every day. We shared some great jokes together! - Very friendly staff overall; very happy to help and advise on where to go in Rethymno. - Loved the garden as a place to eat for breakfast. - Pool at rooftop was absolutely lovely, with stunning views although I didn't spend much time here as I spent more time at the beach.

While the staff were very friendly, I paid more more for a double room and when I needed to be moved to a single room on the first floor, there was no offer to refund the money I paid for the more expensive room. - Internet. Was a bit patchy at first but beware that the internet connection is NOT secure. When I asked the guy at reception about this he basically shrugged and said that there had never been an issue in 10 years so why would there be. He said people have made this complaint before but his phone said the connection was secure so there was no problem. This isn't really reassuring, or even an answer - all it takes is one malicious breach and people' s financial and personal information is at risk. I would not suggest using the hotel Wi-Fi for any type of banking errands. - You have to pay 10 euros to use the safety deposit box in the room for the entirety of the stay which feels like a bit of a money grab. -Breakfast is basic but nice and you need to get down early or the selection runs out. - Bathroom is very basic and needs updating. The shower is not good - handheld shower with mediocre water pressure.

Nice lady working in the reception. Good location, pretty quiet street. Sunbeds and pool on the roof. Decent breakfast (if you arrive early enough). Cute garden.

Blood on the mirror when we checked in, cleaning was generally subpar. Cleaning staff randomly entered the room to deliver a welcome note on day 2. Luckily everyone in the room were fully dressed and awake. Very uncomfortable shower, horrible water pressure and awkward positioning of the shower head. Hard beds. Dark room. Corridor smelled like garbage. Only one tiny elevator in the hotel. Asked for a quiet room, but was given what was probably one of the nosiest rooms in the hotel. Was awoken many times by furniture being dragged across the floor on the roof before 8 am, as well as by noise from cleaning staff in the morning. Moisture issues in the room.

The roof top pool with amazing views was a real treat. Immaculately clean exactly like the photo. Breakfast courtyard was beautifully curated. The balcony was ideal for drying swim suits! Comfortable bed.

The public areas and the rooms are spacious. Room has a large balcony. There is a pretty large pool on the roof with strech beds around it (but it closes at 17hr30(??)

It looks like this hotel had it's last make-over in the early nineteen-sixties or so. The drapes, the colours, the furniture, the equipment. All last seen in the former Sovjet Union, really. Also the breakfast needs an upgrade in choises and equipement.

A very comfortable hotel. We received a warm welcome. The room was excellent with a big comfy bed. Location was fantastic. Breakfast was great quality.

Η τοποθεσία.Ακριβώς στο κέντρο της πόλης,αφήσαμε το αυτοκίνητο στη μαρίνα κ γυρίσαμε με τα πόδια όλη την πόλη.Το προσωπικό ευγενέστατο κ εξυπηρετικό.Το πρωινό γευστικό κ υπέρ αρκετό.

Τα δωμάτια χρειάζονται ένα φρεσκάρισμα στο βάψιμο γιατί αν κ καθαρά φαίνονται σαν παρατημένα.

Τόσο οι υπεύθυνοι στη ρεσεψιόν όσο και οι υπάλληλοι του προσωπικού του ξενοδοχείου ήταν πολύ φιλόξενοι, ευγενικοί και πολύ εξυπηρετικοί. Καθάριζαν καθημερινά το δωμάτιο μας και μάλιστα μας άλλαζαν και τις πετσέτες. Τέλος, επειδή στην περιοχή δεν χρησιμοποιούν εφαρμογή για taxi, μας εξυπηρέτησαν από τη ρεσεψιόν και μας κάλεσαν ταξί για το δρομολόγιο μας προς το ΚΤΕΛ.

Η διαμονή μας ήταν θαυμάσια . Ξενοδοχείο καθαρό δωμάτιο ζεστό και μεγάλο. Η υποδοχή από την κ.πόπη και τον Μανώλη Ευγενέστατοι και πρόθυμοι σε ότι ζητούσαμε . Το πρόγευμα επίσης άριστο! Σίγουρα θα ξανά έρθουμε κοντά σας και σας ευχαριστούμε πολύ.

Δεν έλειπε τίποτα είχαμε πολύ ευχάριστη διαμονή ! Στο δωμάτιο δεν είχε συσκευή για ζεστό νερό για τσάι ή καφέ όταν γυρίζαμε στο ξενοδοχείο αργά. Όμως το προσωπικό στην υποδοχή ήταν πρόθυμοι μας ρωτούσαν τι θέλουμε να πιούμε και μας έφτιαχναν χωρίς καμιά χρέωση.
