Corstorphine Lodge Hotel

The manager was not helpful. He put us on the third floor which was fine, however he refused to help with our luggage. He saw us both struggling but refused to help. He stated " I gave you an upgrade." This statement was not true I got the exact room I paid for. The maid was very helpful and kind but the tall manager was useless.

Het slot van de kamer was defect en konden de kamer niet op. ‘S avonds laat was de kamer open, maar konden alleen van binnenuit open en dicht. Bij ontbijt moest er een stop tussen de deur. De douche liep niet door en de ruimt was overal super klein. Bukken in de douche was niet mogelijk, alleen rechtopstaand door je knieën om je spullen te pakken (geen rekje). De volgende dag zijn de problemen pas opgelost. Zeer teleurstellend voor een best hoge prijs van bijna 200 pond per nacht.

Location perfect. Did not have breakfast.

The room was very comfortable for three persons. The hotel is very suitable located on the way from the airport to the city center.

There are some details - specially in the bathroom - that could be improved.

The location.

We were given a twin share on the top floor the stairs were hidden behind a door. The stairs were so steep and dangerous manoeuvring suit cases. Ok if you were a mountain goat. The shower was hopeless.

Excellent cooked vegetarian breakfast (the meat ones looked good too) and proper fresh filter coffee - I would stay again just for this! There was other buffet stuff like fruit etc to help yourself to. Tea and coffee making in the room. Everything looked clean and the bathroom and room was a good size. It is very good for transport links esp to the airport, as the airlink shuttle is just outside on the main road, and it is really fine for short stays.

Basic facilities, lots of stairs and winding staircases, so beware of this if you have lots of luggage or maybe ask for a ground-floor room if so. None of the lights in the room worked except the big light in the room (they may not have noticed unless people pointed it out, I guess).

Great location and the staff were amazing!

Only very slightly disappointed there was no bar/lounge area BUT I could get a drink from reception and went and did some work in my room which was very spacious and very clean so all good!

One night, we had guests across from us causing noise until 2am. We contacted the staff and they informed the guests to keep it down. Although the guests continued to make noise for a while, the staff were very good in checking up on us

Convenient location

The bed was very hard there was a wet patch on the bathroom floor when I cleaned it up the tissue was black. Bathroom very small so was the shower and not very powerful more like a trickle

Posizione ottima, fermate del bus a due passi e bus ogni 5 minuti per il centro. Presenti negozi (Lidl, Tesco) e molti ristoranti. Zona tranquilla e piacevole. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Bollitore e tazze con tè, caffè e biscotti a disposizione ogni giorno!

Scarsa pulizia, asciugamani vecchi e macchiati. Materasso vecchio e scomodissimo. Lavandino intasato e doccia con temperatura difficile da regolare (l'acqua passa da ghiacciata a bollente, difficile trovare una via di mezzo) Prima notte al freddo per via dei riscaldamenti rotti, sostituiti poi con i termosifoni elettrici , ma in bagno non sono presenti prese perciò rimaneva freddo. Dal secondo giorno in poi il riscaldamento era funzionante ma la mattina alle 6, quando mi alzavo, erano già spenti e in bagno faceva freddo per fare la doccia... L'hotel non specifica che tipo di riscaldamento c'è nelle stanze. Ho pagato davvero troppo considerando tutti questi disagi. Consiglio solo per la posizione.

Old fashioned hotel without many amenities - but thats something you can expect from 3* hotel. Room on the first floor, spacious, with windows towards main street. Working heating (first impression was cold, but soon I've checked heating and it just nedd to be turned on). Room and bathroom clean; cleaned daily. English breakfast not the top one but edible and filling. Excellent location - close to the airport (some 15 minutes by bus) and to the city center (some 30 minutes); for longer stay close small shop and if neccessary big markets also within few minutes walk. Overall impression - I liked this place. Stayed for 8 nights without any serious issues. Ofc there is alwasy a room for improvement - than this would be 4* hotel and probably twice as much expensive.

Am besten Gefallen hat uns die Lage des Hotels. Eine Bushaltestelle zum Zentrum und zum Flughafen befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Zimmer war mit Tee, Kaffee und Wasserkocher ausgestattet. Unser Zimmer war relativ ruhig gelegen. Mit dem Frühstück waren wir ebenso zufrieden.

Das Hotel war insgesamt etwas hellhörig und wir hatten keinen Blick nach draußen.

I liked the location was close to airport and personnel was kind.

The bed creaked extremely. We coudn’t sleep because of that. I have never seen such a loud bed.

Son positionnement, dans un quartier banlieusard et très chic, à proximité des transports, des commerces et des restaurants. Son style très XIXe avec les moulures, les meubles et les tapisseries

Assez mal isolé de la rue, on y entend en continu les voitures qui passent à l’extérieur, sur un axe très emprunté. Il y fait donc aussi assez rapidement froid, et le chaud peine à se diffuser dans les chambres très hautes sous plafond.

grande chambre, lit confortable pour moi en tout cas, port USB pour charger le téléphone à la tete de lit, j'ai choisi le petit déjeuner Écossais un régal et servi rapidement. Il y a des arrêt de bus à 100m de l'hotel que ce soit pour aller en ville ou à l'aéroport, de plus il y a un lidl et un mc do pas loin ou cas. Vraiment j'y retournerais

Le seul petit bémol je dirais c'est la pression de l'eau dans la douche elle n'est pas assez forte mais c'est tout

Nice rooms

Mine and another’s rooms were in the loft, this wasn’t explained to us on arrival, we just found out when we got to the top of the stairs .

The breakfast was great, the staff were friendly and my room was large with a conservatory room attached. The place had loads of character and a lively walled garden. Lication was good for me because of the proximity to the airport.

The bed wasn't very comfortable and the layout if rhe hotel is a little confusing at first. It would be great if they provided a airport shuttle because the taxis to and from the airport were expensive given given the short distance.

I thought breakfast was overpriced, but that was not a big deal. There are plenty of coffee shops and cafes nearby for other options.

I had no complaints.

Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, ruime kamer, dichtbij openbaar vervoer richting centrum en vliegveld. Ontbijt was minimaal, maar prima. Dat geldt ook voor de badkamer.

De kamer lag aan de voorzijde en was daarmee gehorig v.w.b. het verkeer dat langs kwam rijden.

Debajo de las camas no se había barrido desde hacía mil años.

Un hotel en una casa antiga molt bonica i sobretot molt ben comunicat per a arribar des de l'aeroport i al centre d'Edimburg. Totes les línies d'autobusos principals passen per allí.

En general, tot bé!

We got stuck at the airport and booked this hotel room very last minute - a tired mum with 2 teenage sons. It was cheap, so we didn't expect much. But we were so pleasantly surprised - what a lovely room, en-suite bathroom, and tea/coffee corner. Very clean and very well presented. We didn't have time to stay for breakfast, sadly. The staff were incredibly helpful, booking our taxi for us and explaining how everything worked. This stay absorbed some of the shock of our horrendous flight delays, and we will keep this place in mind for the future.

Die Lage war für uns perfekt, da unsere Freunde in der Nähe wohnten. Mit dem Bus oder auch zu Fuß (dauert aber lange 😉) kommt man gut ins Zentrum. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und das Bad sauber und völlig okay. Es gab Kaffee und Tee mit Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer.

Lovely spacious Victorian rooms. The breakfast was not worth nearly 13 pounds. Very basic and sausage cheap frozen stuff. Cooked to order. Nicely presented and nice chef. Filter coffee but lovely coffee shop over the road does decent coffee and breakfast. Staff got shirty because I wanted to take sachets ti the room for my daughter as she doesn't like tea or coffe with caffeine. After a long explanation let me have them but he had to have the last say patronising. Manager very helpful to get warm water out of the shower. Staff let us keep our bags there for late flights good service as staff on hand all day till 11 at night.

Cleanliness stairs needed a hoover pretty Dusty and dirty. Cheap electric shower hard to get a decent hot shower. Didn't make the beds for us on our second day. Fitted sheets hard to stay on mattress. I have arthritis and struggled to get them to stay on.

Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffett war sehr klein und für das Gebotene sehr teuer. Außerdem sind die Betten sehr alt und die Lattenroste instabil

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem sauber und komfortabel. Gute Busverbindung zur City.

Struttura molto vecchia... Materassi molto vecchi forse quanto la struttura affossati e con lenzuola macchiate... Bagno ovviamente altrettanto vecchio con doccia molto stretta e non c'era shampoo e bagnoschiuma. Dalla moquette delle scale per arrivare nelle stanze ad ogni passo usciva polvere. Cattivo odore in generale in tutta la struttura. Gli asciugamani molto piccoli e sottili...

Geräumiges Zimmer, grundsätzlich sauber und gute Ausstattung mit Kaffee auf dem Zimmer.

Der checkIn war für spät angekündigt und bestätigt. Unter der angegebenen Nummer für späte checkins hatte sich niemand gemeldet sodass wir vor verschlossenen Türen standen. Die Nummer an der Tür war eine andere, beim Anrufen dort meldete sich eine sehr unfreundliche Person, welche einfach auflegte. Am Ende kamen wir doch ins Zimmer und hatten eine erholsame Nacht.

Have reached out to the hotel as requested a refund following a negative experience staying at the hotel. Have not had any communication since this.

Kein Platz für Fahrräder. Zimmer katastrophal. Extrem hellhörig und hell. Keine Möglichkeit abzudunkeln.

部屋が古い。ベッドシーツ等が洗ってあるかもだが古い。部屋とシーツの湿気感が快適とはいえない。ファミリールームの横が玄関で玄関のドアの開け閉めがうるさい。

« Vieillot », pas d’ascenseur, bruyant : portes qui claquent, plancher et escalier qui craquent, ventilation bricolée et bruyante . Maison de ville inadaptée à l’hôtellerie ! Malgré un personnel de bonne volonté.

Comfortable stay. Big room with 5 of us. Location wasn’t bad. Maybe 20 min drive from Edinburgh. Room was clean

We were pretty upset the first night because we were woken up at 12:30 at night with someone banging on our door multiple times. When we got up it was the manager trying to figure out where some noise was coming from. There was nothing it could have been from our room besides the bathroom fan which still didn’t even make sense. The fact that they wanted to solve this problem and wake up the neighboring rooms of the person complaining was insane.

Proximity to the airport

The cutlery in the room was dirty and the stairs to get bags to the attic / 2nd floor was difficult

الموقع جميل فقط 20 دقيقه عن مركز المدينه بالباص ومحطة الباص امام الفندق. كم يوجد سوبرماركت امام الفندق وايضا مطعم هندي المنطقه هاديه

Friendly staff. Free parking in the roads around the hotel was easily possible. Old house with nice garden (closed at our stay though). Bus station close by to take you to Princes Street/Edinburgh Castle. Several restaurant options and a large supermarket in walking distance.

Two floor house with winding corridors. As British houses go, no elevators, steep, carpeted, winding staircase instead to our room. Our bed was a bit creaky. Shower had little water pressure. Continental breakfast options a bit limited

La posizione è perfetta. Comodità alla fermata di due bus che portano in centro in una ventina di minuti e vicino alla fermata della navetta per l' aeroporto. Camera comoda e pulita. Staff davvero disponibile

The staff were most helpful and friendly. There was no lift so they helped carry a heavy suitcase up the stairs. We could have extra tea bags for our room. The beds were comfortable and we could leave our luggage there after we had checked out whilst going into the city centre until we needed it to catch our plane. The hotel was well situated for the David Lloyd centre and for buses into town and out to the airport.

Super lokalizacja, przystanek autobusowy z mnóstwem linii (z Airlinkiem włącznie) mniej niż minutę drogi od hotelu. Blisko do Lidla i Tesco, jest też kilka restauracji w pobliżu.

The staff were incredible and wanted to us to have the best stay and were eager to help every time we needed it.

The manager decided to give us 5 small bottles of sparkling water (they were out of still too) as compensation for our twin bed falling apart. One of the guys slept terrible because his bed was broken and did not have a decent place to sleep.

Camera quadrupla molto ampia, luminosa e accogliente. Tipica inglese. Letti comodi. Pulizia molto buona. Staff cortese e gentile. A 15 minuti dall’aeroporto con bus navetta e a 20 minuti dal centro con bus.

Colazione (extra a pagamento) migliorabile.

La amabilidad del personal, la limpieza, dormitorios amplios. Todo fue muy bien. Se recomienda!!

Nagyon jó tömegközlekedési útvonalon helyezkedik el, közel a reptérhez és a belvároshoz is. Bár korán érkeztünk, elfoglalhattuk a szobánkat. A folyosón citromos víz állt a vendégek rendelkezésére.

A szobánk a 2.emeleten volt, amihez egy szűk csigalépcsőn lehetett feljutni, ez eléggé kényelmetlen a csomagokkal együtt. A törülközők foltosak voltak, nem tudtam eldönteni, esetleg már használták őket? 🙃🤨 A reggeli omletthez semmilyen zöldséget nem adtak, pedig a megrendeléskor szerepelt az étlapon. A konyha személyzete unottan (talán fáradtan?) szolgált ki bennünket.

The stairs to the top level are so steep they are dangerous. No fridge available for putting food in which should be available as this is more like a hostel than hotel. Overall basic entry level, bathroom shower needed mould treatment
