The room was larger than expected, and the bathroom had lovely strong shower. A kettle for tea was nice. We were to the side of the main building so there want to much outside noise. Large tv with free view channels kept my daughter entertained. Close location to the zoo, and the city centre by bus.

The only thing I didn't like were the pillows weren't great. Felt lumpy and lacked support. Also could here the shower upstairs but not to much on an issue.

Staff was excellent, knowledgeble and helped me navigate around the city. Food was amazing and I'll be thinking about that gammon for years

My room was a bit cold and bathroom smelled of mildew, but it wasn't too bothering honestly.

Everything, staff were amazing the location was brilliant and the hotel especially the room we had was brilliant 👍👍👍

I've stayed here before and would stay again. The facilities and staff are great. Long term staff so that tells you they are happy with their employer. Convenient to have the bus stop right outside your door as well as the restaurant in the building. Food is great.

El personal era excepcionalmente amable. Teníamos el desayuno buffet contratado y 2 días no pudimos disfrutarlo porque teníamos tours muy temprano. Nos prepararon una bolsa con zumo, plátano, magdalenas y croissant para que nos lo pudiéramos llevar

Aunque tienes la parada de bus en la puerta y varios autobuses te sirven para ir al centro, es cierto que pilla un poquito lejos (trayectos de 20min aprox)

Location easy enough to get to places and comfy bed and room not to big so felt more homely with being just me

Świetna lokalizacja, blisko dobre połączenia zarówno do centrum jak i lotniska. Przemiła i pomocna obsługa, dobre jedzenie. Kapitalny klimat, bardzo fajnie można spędzić wieczór w lokalu

Nam to nie przeszkadzało, ale raczej ciężko spać przy otwartym oknie jeśli nie lubisz lekkiego ulicznego hałasu

Attached to Toby Carvery making breakfast end evening meal easy, Staff more than helpful always spoke with us how was our day , went out of their way to help. Room tidy and acceptable although shower was a large square with sliding doors very small for larger person to get in and turn around.

This was a booking for 3 people 3 rooms 4 nights. Having paid extra to cancel near the time if required , paid deposit and called Innkeepers to ensure 2 disabled rooms on ground floor as no lift. This was sorted fine. A week or so later i was emailed about my group booking and had to complete a contract and sign to responsible for damage. This had to be returned at once or booking would be cancelled. I then had to pay 10% deposit by return despite paying the higher price on line secured by credit card. I was then told i had to pay in full xxx days before despite my booking with booking .com I was very unhappy at the way i was treated as this was contrary to how i had booked and even the lady i called at innkeepers did not mention it was a group booking. Apparently a group booking is more than 5 room nights in total for more than one room . I had 12 as it was 3 rooms for 4 . When booked at booking.com it did mention any of this in booking process.

Come lo scorso anno mi è piaciuta molto la colazione grande e soprattutto all you can eat. La camera è pulita ed ordinata, il bagno è comodo e pulito.

Loved the fact there is a bus stop out the front so it is so easy and cheap to get into Edinburgh without any fuss. We ate at the carvery every night as the food is delicious and very well priced. Being gluten free wasn't a problem. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Toby Carvery Edinburgh. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful with everything we needed. The location is perfect it is close to absolutely everything and offers great access to the city center. Getting around was incredibly easy, making it the perfect base for exploring Edinburgh. The rooms were comfortable, and having the restaurant right there was a huge bonus for a great meal. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again!

La ubicación es muy cómoda, tienes buses en la puerta que te llevan directos al centro en 20 min. Tienes otra parada que va directa al aeropuerto con el bus 100 en 10 minutos. Además estás en un barrio de casas, no es zona turística, por lo que te adentras un poco más en la vida de allí.

La limpieza es un punto a mejorar. Había pelos por el suelo y polvo cuando entramos. Pero es verdad que nos hicieron la cama y nos cambiaban las toallas todos los días.

Cosy stay just outside Edinburgh, it’s so easy to get into town and it’s nice having toby carvery just downstairs. Better value than central Edinburgh. It’s also accessible easily by bus from the airport. Ideal for what I needed.

Love the large room and comfortable bed. The location and parking is perfect for me. Friendly helpful staff.

Ruime badkamer met een goede douche. Goede matrassen. Veel parkeergelegenheid. Bushalte voor de deur met meerdere lijnen naar het centrum.

Heel kleine kamer, niet eens plek om je koffer open te maken. Dat moest op bed. Uitpakken kon niet want er waren enkel een paar kleerhangers voor de jassen. Matig ontbijt. Voor die prijs verwacht je geen slappe voorverpakte croissants.

The bedroom was a little dark and not very well set out.

The location is very good, right on the main road, with a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. It’s not right in the city center, but I actually liked that, as getting to the center is very easy. The hotel also has its own restaurant, which is a big plus. The food is delicious, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. The staff are also wonderful, especially the ladies working in the restaurant. They made me feel right at home. If I visit Edinburgh again, I will definitely consider staying here again!

Room was a bit dark/dim even with all the lights on.

The food-- both roast meats supper buffet & hot breakfast were excellent. All staff were very friendly & helpful. A good location & comfortable room helped make it a memorable stay. However, given it being an off--season booking, it was not good value for money. Also, for a similar per diem rate, we got a full bachelor apartment in Norwich just priority our stay here.

Good location for relatively quick access to Edinburgh airport. Comfortable, although quite small, room with kettle! Adequate for an overnight stay. Good shower.

Initially confusing to work out where the actual reception desk was - a small unmanned desk at the entrance to the bar/restaurant. But a member of staff soon turned up and explained all. No lift which would be a problem for anyone with mobility problems.

De douche was niet echt geschikt voor grotere mensen. Verder alles wel prima met de douche. Er zijn ontbijtmogelijkheden voor de mensen die geen scottisch breakfast willen smorgens als ontbijtgranen, butter croissant, .... . Echter waren alle gebakjes en croissants allesbehalve vers maar in plastiek verpakking. Ook het apelsiensap was niet vers maar uit brik. Beetje jammer. Maar the scottisch breakfast zelf en lunch en avondeten was heel vers en lekker.

The location is great - a constant stream of buses going straight into town, literally right outside the door. The room (a single) was great. Very comfortable bed, well stocked tea and coffee making facilities, high-flow shower and all very clean.

I checked in online, choosing the latest possible estimated arrival of 10pm. I met friends in town and the evening drew on. I decided ideally I would like to arrive and collect my key much later, so rang at about 7pm to check this was ok. It was not possible to speak to a human and the recorded message stated that the hotel line was now closed. I therefore had to travel to the hotel to collect my key before travelling back to my friends. I discovered that there is always someone at night reception so I needn't have made the journey. It would have been good if this was clearer in advance. Small gripe but hopefully might help others!

Das Hotel liegt ganz in der Nähe des Flughafeens und ist mit dem Flughafenbus 100 bequem zu erreichen. Die Verbindungen mit den anderen Busen, die in die Stadt fahren ist direkt vor er Restauranttür. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist ganz ausgezeichnet.

Die Lage, guter grosser Parkplatz und direkt vor dem Haus ist die Haltestelle des Busses (x31), mit dem man gemütlich ins Zentrum fahren kann (ca 10 Min).

Das Hotel liegt zentral an einer Bushaltestelle. Ruhige Zimmer gibt es zum Hinterhof hinaus. Das üppige und traditionelle Sonntagbratenbuffet ist einzigartig. Der XXL-Teller ist für 1.99 Pfund zusätzlich wählbar. Jeder darf sich einmalig 3 unterschiedliche Fleischsorten aussuchen und die restlichen Beilagen (Gemüse, Nudeln, Kartoffelgerichte.....) unbegrenzt nachholen. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich. Und die schottischen Familien wissen wo es schmeckt ;-) und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Easy to find and get around for exploring Edinburgh

I liked the ease of booking and the carvery lunch was superb and the breakfast was also very good. A pleasant and friendly staff.

I picked a very expensive time to visit Edinburgh, and central hotels were extremely expensive to the point where I was ready to cancel my visit. Fortunately I found a very good price to stay at The Toby, and as it has very good reviews I booked it. Very pleased with my choice, it’s about 3 miles outside of the city centre, but there are loads of buses and with a bus stop outside the door. My single room was perfect, recently decorated and very clean. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Breakfast buffet was fine. I walked into the city as well, which took about an hour with a few detours. Located in a nice area with a few bars and shops around. Will stay here again (unless I find a city centre bargain). Noticed they also have a big car parking area behind the building.

Very minor, but the basic white bread at breakfast is a bit bland. Otherwise no issues whatsoever.

Room did not look like the photos it was smaller and darker the bathroom was tiny the shower was very powerful and the best thing about it albeit a bit tight, the toilet was like a kids toilet it was so low, there was a smell of sewage when I entered but it seemed to reduce also the carpet smelt damp as it looks like it's not been cleaned in a long time, the mattress was acceptable but the linen did not look or smell fresh also a few hairs around, not good, the breakfast used cheap quality ingredients I left most of it and did not bother with it the second morning, parking was good and bus stop outside makes it easy to get into the city but I won't go back if I had the opportunity, overall not impressed

Our room only had ONE window which was covered in distorted screen so couldn’t see out and window only opened about 3inches . AWFUL

Very very noisy from street traffic. Room very hot. Couldn’t open windows because of traffic noise all night long without a break, take earplugs. They help a tiny bit.
