It was easy walking distance to attractions. The breakfast was good.

The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Very low water pressure and flow in the shower.

Excellent location with parking. Delicious, hearty breakfast included. Happy helpful staff.

Für grosse Menschen wie wir war das Zimmer und der Flur sehr niedrig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer unter dem Dach.

Vriendelijk personeel, top locatie, fijne kamer.

Ottima posizione davanti alla fermata del bus sia per il centro che per l'aeroporto. Comunque una 20ina di minuti a piedi dal centro. 10 dal Dean Village.

Letto matrimoniale molto piccolo. La stanza è abbastanza pulita sull'essenziale, biancheria e sanitari, ma poco sul resto. Ragnatele e polvere in giro. Niente di drammatico.

The period ambiance is kind of cool and it's handy to a good bus service into the Towns. Nice modern bathroom.

The stairs were a challenge for an old guy traveling with too much luggage.

Supervriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. uitstekend ontbijt, Engels ontbijt en continentaal ontbijt. Prima ligging, een half uurtje te voet tot in het toeristisch centrum en een bushalte voor de deur. In vergelijking met de prijs van andere hotels in Edinburg is het hotel zeker ok om te verblijven.

Kamer 11. We waren 6 nachten ter plaatse en slechts 2 nachten functioneerde de tv. Het personeel en de manager deed er alles aan om tot een oplossing te komen echter zonder resultaat. We kregen wel een drankje aangeboden ter compensatie. Elke morgen om 6h00 wakker door lawaai van een compressor of zoiets dat in werking werd gezet. Onze kamer werd niet echt goed gepoetst en de bedden werden niet naar behoren opgemaakt elke dag.

Great location, less than 10 minutes walk from Haymarket train station. Plenty of buses and trams available to get around.

The bathroom floor was not clean - long dark hairs over the floor. I cleared some myself but asked at reception for the floor to be swept and mopped whilst we were out the next day - it wasn’t! Also the shower drainage hole didn’t empty very well - nearly overflowed. The underside of the plug hole cover was very grimy. When anyone used the shower in the next room, water splattered up through the shower plug hole in our bathroom. Continental breakfast was also under par - processed/longlife croissant/pain au raisin, cheap yogurt. I would share photos of our stay…..but they are really quite unpleasant!!

Hotel perto do centro de Edimburgo e com vagas próprias de garagem. Quarto confortável e com água quente. Equipe prestativa e simpática.

Poderia haver mais disponibilidade de frutas no café da manhã. Poderiam os quartos ter ar condicionado e o hotel ter um elevador.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a good place to get to main attractions. Vegetarian breakfast was good.

The springs in the bed I was sleeping( room 34) in were on the way out and made a lot of noise when I moved from side to side. There was a fair amount of noise coming from the water pipes which kept me awake.

It was very comfortable, lovely old property and the rooms were very clean, lots of hot water for showers or baths and ample tea and coffee provided Staff were very friendly and it was quiet in the room as the hotel is set back from the road

Could probably do with decorating and updating but this is just cosmetic as everything was very comfortable

The room was very big, with high ceiling and windows, while having light blocking curtains for the morning you want to sleep in. It provided two beds and a cot (even though during the reservation it was stated they didn't had one), so plenty of sleeping options, and also a sofa and a table with two chairs, a wardrobe and the bathroom is spacious.

The room was very dusty and the towels were mismatched, some of them quite old. One day we left towels on the ground to have them changed as instructed by the sign on the bathroom door and housekeeping rehanged them. For the price we payed this things are unacceptable and also a petty for the potential this hotel shows.

I really liked the location and the beds were comfortable. We had a hairdryer available in the room and could request an iron if needed. We also received a complimentary coffee, as our room only had decaf available.

We had a room for 3 adults and whenever we showered, there was no proper way for the humidity to escape from the bathroom. There was no window and the extractor fan didn’t seem to work properly, so all the moisture went into the main room and was absorbed by our clothes and bedding. Everything felt damp after showering. It was also very difficult to open the windows and they looked as though they were rarely, if ever, opened. The floor was particularly dirty. We could tell that it hadn’t been mopped properly, and it looked like it hadn’t even been hoovered after the previous guests. Our socks became extremely dirty after walking around the room for just a short time and anything we put on the floor got dirty as well.

Weinig op aan te merken, vond het alleen jammer dat je op een eigen terrein parkeerplaats 15,- pond per nacht moet betalen voor de auto.

Das Bett war recht schmal und nicht sonderlich bequem. Die Reinigung klopfte schon um 9:00 Uhr ans Zimmer. Für ins Zentrum läuft mal ca. 30 Minuten. Die Beleuchtung in Zimmer ist nur von einer Bett Seite her zu steuern.

Location, breakfast food and Adam.Adam greeted us on arrival and was extremely helpful and informative throughout our stay. When he worked in the breakfast room -same. This man was exceptional - always friendly,happy disposition which seemed genuine not fake. Gentlemen who served in the dining room also very efficient. Dining room , waiting room, walking areas all very clean and tidy.We enjoyed our stay.

The room cleaning was not up to the standard I expected. On arrival the room was clean, tidy and well presented. However, during our stay the shower/toilet area was not maintained.Towels were not replaced when requested or we were given one clean towel for four people. Toilet paper not replenished, and hand basin never cleaned.On the positive side, the bins were always emptied , beds made if required and room vacuumed.

Struttura vecchiotta ma pulita, staff molto gentile e disponibile, colazione disponibile su prenotazione alla reception. Posizione ottima, fermata del bus per aeroporto davanti, così come i collegamenti per il centro. A piedi da Haymarket sono 10 min circa (2 fermate del bus). Avevamo la camera non sulla strada ed era silenziosissimo. A poca distanza ci sono diversi caffè e ristoranti.

Infissi, letti e sovracoperte non nuovissime. Ma pavimento non in moquette e nuovo. Non c'è ascensore

Location. Good public transport (bus stop front of the hotel). Town centre is a 30 minutes walk. Nice, kind staff.

The shower drain was clogged in our room (room 3) and had to stand in a puddle. It was disgusting. Reported to the staff. They tried to fix it, it got better, but the water still doesn't drain properly. The single bed was old and very creaky. The room was clean but needs renovation.

De havermout bij het continentale ontbijt waren een pro! De mensen waren heel vriendelijk. Goede uitvalsbasis om de stad te ontdekken. De bushalte was vlak bij de deur en ook te voet is het doenbaar.

De algemene kwaliteit in Schotland van accommodaties is doorgaans laag in verhouding met wat je krijgt. Dit hotel voldeed dan ook aan die verwachting.

The facility’s was good, but felt a bit damp and everting was a bit worn. And there was to many signs and warnings about all mater of stuff.

Good location, easy walk or bus into Centre. Some great choices for food in this area. We had a family room and it was large and clean, exactly what we needed as we were out most of the time. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Shower head needed tightening up so it stayed in position. Reported to staff so they could sort it.

Proximité du centre (nous sommes allés chaque jour à pieds jusqu'au centre historique, mais il y a des bus qui passent tout près et le tramway un peu plus loin. Personnel très serviable. Parking sur place (petit et premier venu, premier servi).

Le lit dont le sommier perdait ses lattes (ils ont du venir chaque jour réparer/replacer celles-ci).

les chambres sont spacieuse et le personnel est a l écoute.

The bus stop into the centre was right outside the hotel. The staff were friendly.

It was a really hot day and you could not have the window open .The towels were a bit worn and thin. The room needs an update from the drab curtains and decor.

Cheap & nasty. Service atrocious. Room not very clean. Trading on location. A total rip off. Worth paying extra for a mainstream hotel if you can afford it. Unfortunately we hadn’t realised the Fringe was on / booked as we were going to the Royal Tattoo. Worth booking £30 Uber ride away in a hotel - Stockbridge is lovely.

Sehr schönes Hotel in toller Lage, Edinburgh Castle oder zur Bahnstation Haymarket gut zu Fuß möglich. Das Hotel ist sehr charmant eingerichtet. Nett auch das Wasser zur Begrüßung. Sehr nettes Personal. Wir hatten das Familienzimmer zu viert, toll war die Zimmer Aufteilung mit 2 Betten abgetrennt. Alles war sauber. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in diesem Hotel wohnen und waren sehr zufrieden.

Die Betten waren für unser Gefühl zu weich. Bei einem der Einzelbetten waren Schrauben bei den Lattenrosten lose.

La posizione è a 30 minuti a piedi dal centro, ma la fermata del bus è proprio davanti all'hotel . Bisogna organizzarsi per gli spostamenti.

The location was fantastic, very convenient to walk to cafes and the train station and Fringe events! The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

The shower wasn't great but certainly my only complaint. The hotel was lovely.

De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Maar tijdens de Fringe liggen de prijzen hoog. Kamer heeft niets meer dan absoluut nodig. Dat is een tegenvaller. Geen bekertje in badkamer(tje). Douche 1e dag niet helemaal schoon. Bedrijfsleider was wel zeer belangstellend of alles oke was, en na de klacht over de douche tw hebben doorgegeven was het vervolgens elke dag in ordem

It was nice to drop off our luggage and our car before check-in.

Room 24 had a strong musty smell, the carpet had several stains and needed to be scrubbed, the towels were threadbare, the mattress was so hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were flat, and the bathroom needed a good cleaning. The exit of the car park had zero visibility—impossible to see bikes and pedestrians. When we returned from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo we were confronted by an employee demanding to know what room we were in. We had been given the code for the main entrance and we used our room key for the inner door as instructed upon check-in. We didn’t know we would be interrogated like a bunch of teenagers sneaking in after curfew. We booked because of all of the positive reviews and had the opposite experience.

Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Erinomainen sijainti – keskustaan ja Edinburghin linnalle pääsi helposti kävellen. Huone oli siisti ja majoitus vastasi hyvin odotuksia. Viihdyimme ja voimme suositella hotellia erityisesti hyvän sijainnin vuoksi. Myös autopaikka järjestyi, mikä oli iso plussa.

The room was of a decent size. Location is great - I was concerned it would be too far from the city, but it is in a nice neihborhood, easy walk to center, plus there is a bus stop right outside.

Everything in the hotel is old and feels very cheap. Beds and pillows are uncomfortable, there are barely any toiletries. There is no sound insulation - you hear asolutely every sound from the bathroom. Feels like a two-star hotel at best.

It's in a great location, within walking distance of the city center, and there's a bus stop right in front. Our room was comfortable, clean, and stylish. It had everything we needed. It was surprising to find out after making the reservation that the parking was paid. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was well worth the money, and it was the most affordable hotel on my list.

Considering the price we paid, there's nothing I dislike.

The room was nice, with views at the garden. It was pleasant to find some tea, milk and sugar in the room, plus lemonade and apples in the lobby. The internet was ok. The hotel is not in the center, but in walking distance from the old town. Also it is close to bus, tram or train.

The breakfast was good, but a bit too expensive.

We were very delayed and checked in in the middle of the night, but received a very friendly welcome. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was good.

We werre in one of the top rooms and the stairs were steep to climb with suit cases.

We loved the breakfast options. The staff made hot chocolate to my kids. It was lovely. Room was wide and beds comfortable. Location is great. 15 minutes walking to city centre

I think the room wasn't clean enough. My son struggled with dust and sneezed when inside the room.

The staff was friendly. They did a great job of cleaning and helping out. There is a nice bar/TV room downstairs and they do offer a breakfast if needed.

The room was an attic and the bathroom was small. There is a great deal of difference between room 25 and 21. Room 25 is the attic and room 21 is nicer and has two singles and a double with larger space and a larger bathroom. Room 25 is the attic that has three singles and a closet sized bathroom. It works, but it is tinier. I had seen the pictures of room 25 when I booked the room, but I didn't see the pictures of room 21 online.

Non hanno rifatto la stanza. Mi sembra il minimo per un soggiorno di più notti . In più non c’era nemmeno una bottiglia piccola di acqua in camera

La ubicación es excelente, el.bus del aeropuerto te deja justo en la puerta y para regresar también lo tienes justo en frente, el resto de autobuses pasan varios por la puerta y te llevan y traen al centro excelente ubicación puedes ir a todas partes andando o en bus, el personal es muy muy amable y te ayudan en todo lo que necesites (hables inglés o no) muy atentos todos.

El único detalle que no me gustó fueron los puertos USB que no funcionaba más que uno en la habitación y tampoco el hecho de que la ventana no se podía abrir del todo para que entrara un poco de aire.

Angemessene Größe an Zimmern in Altbau. Gute Lage, sodass die Altstadt noch zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor dem Haus mit guten Verbindungen zum Flughafen und der Innenstadt.

Heruntergekommene Ausstattung, dreckiger Boden und unter den Betten viel Staub und Müll.
