Great location, the hosts were brilliant, breakfast made fresh for you, room was cleaned as much as you wanted, facilities were great and you were made to feel welcome.

Bathroom was a little on the small side, but there really was no issues at all.

Friendly hosts. Clean, well equipped rooms. Hairdryer and fridge provided. Fresh milk in the fridge for our morning cuppa. Excellent breakfast with good vegetarian options. We had a 3 night stay and were made to feel very welcome. Jonathan and Sade are very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. It is only a 15-20 minute to the harbour where all the bars and restaurants were.

Room was small but clean

This was our 4th year of returning to Torquay. Different hotel this time. The hosts were very pushy. After a 6 hour journey walked through the door to be told we had to choose our breakfast for the next morning. Just wanted to relax in room after a long journey. Then had to choose each morning for the following morning just to make the hosts life easier.Sade extremely rude about the inner door being left open when infact it wasnt us if she'd of checked her cameras she'd of known this. Breakfast very poor to the point of feeling quite ill the 2 days of eating it. Will not be returning.

We were warmly welcomed and shown our room. A brief and purposeful walk around followed. We pre ordered breakfast and were shown the stocked fridge in our room. Excellent room and comfy bed.

Either the carpet or mattress in the room I stayed absolutely stinks of BO I had the window open the entire stay and the smell still didn't go. The walls are extremely thin, I could hear next door snoring so got very little sleep through the night. Carpet wasn't clean, covered in hair and dust. Bedsheets were stained and when I had requested both beds be made up as I booked a room with 2 beds for 2 people Kethla house requested a £10 surcharge for both beds to be made. Felt far more like an airb&b sharing someone's house than a guest house or seaside b&b that I'm used to which I'm not personally keen on

Perfect for our overnight stay near the centre of Torquay.

Arrived after a very long day travelling, so lovely and welcoming! Felt like a home away from home, we always found parking available no matter the time of day. Room was probably one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in as it goes for hotel rooms! Location was ideal also! Will definitely be staying here again and we very much look forward to it!

We had such a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend it. The family who run the place are genuinely lovely — so kind, friendly, helpful and give us great advice. It was a real pleasure meeting them! Our room was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. We felt really comfortable, safe and welcome throughout our stay. The location is also brilliant. The beach and marina are within walking distance, as well as some beautiful gardens and lots of nice cafés and restaurants along the seafront. It was really easy to get around and explore all the area on foot, by bus or by cab, and Torquay land train stops nearby. There's a nearby convenience store that opens till late on weekdays. We honestly had the best time and would happily come back. A lovely place, lovely people and a really enjoyable stay.

Breakfast was just perfect, the scrambled egg & smoked salmon was delicious, husband had full English no complaints !! Plenty of tea & coffee , we had a long journey home so it set us up for the day !! We have to come back to Torquay soon so will book again .

The location was perfect, just a 5 min stroll down a short hill to the beach and nearby Marina. The owner was really helpful and his lovely children even helped us up to the room with our things. The breakfast was cooked to order and beautifully presented, very tasty. The room was exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed which led to a restful two nights sleeo.

The only (very small) niggle I could mention is that as a woman, I'd have appreciated a longer length mirror near a plug socket so I could style my hair, but I managed ok with the wall mounted mirror. But really, this was a minor thing.

Absolutely perfect stay I had a wonderful stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. The room was absolutely spotless and beautifully clean — as someone who is quite particular about cleanliness, I was extremely impressed. There was honestly nothing I could fault. The breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented and clearly prepared with great care. The table setting was lovely and everything was perfect down to the smallest detail. The whole guest house was warm, welcoming and exceptionally well looked after. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed every moment of my stay. Thank you so much for making my visit to Torquay so enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this wonderful place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kethla House was lovely to stay in Jon and Sade made us feel so welcome from the very beginning and were always giving us suggestions of where to visit.Breakfast was ordered the day before which is such a good way of doing it, it was a beautiful breakfast with a great choice nothing was too much trouble when ordering. Kethla house is a short walk away from the beach and the town everything is very accessible and plenty of buses within walking distance that can take you to other place's. We had such an amazing time a big thank you to Jon and Sade 🙂

The owners were very friendly and accommodating, the place was extremely clean and well kept, a lovely place, with a great breakfast too!! HIGHLY recommended.

There wasn't anything to dislike really, the traffic was a little loud at times, but you expect that with the location and almost anywhere in Torquay.

The location is simply wonderful — perfect for exploring the area and enjoying everything around it. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Everything was well organised and made us feel at home. A special thank you to Jon, who truly made our stay even more enjoyable. He is incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive to his guests. He responded instantly to all our requests and was always happy to help. His hospitality really made a difference. And the breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, tasty, and clearly prepared with care. We especially appreciated the quality and freshness of the food each morning ☺️

Location is perfect, 5 minutes walk to the seafront. Jonathan and Sade are both very friendly and welcoming. The B&B was decorated tastefully and felt homely. The room and bathroom were spotless! We had a family room and it was big enough for the 3 of us with a decent amount of storage space. The breakfast was excellent, cooked really well, we asked to change a few items and Jonathan was very accommodating. It was really quiet at all times, you wouldn't have known there were other guests there most of the time. There are 3 parking spaces reserved for the property and we got a space the whole 3 days we were there. I would certainly recommend this B&B and we loved that it was owned and ran by a lovely family!

We had a wonderful two night stay. The room was spotlessly clean, cosy, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and the owner was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We felt very well looked after and really enjoyed our stay. Easy to find on the Belgrave Road! Jon and Sade were exceptional hosts couldn’t do enough. Our room was comfortable very clean and the bed was lovely! Breakfast was delicious and always hot😃

The location was central for everything, easy pleasant walk to the seafront and plenty of buses running nearby into town.Plenty of choice for breakfast, freshly cooked and served in a beautiful quiet dining room.

We had everything we needed for a lovely stay, the room was comfortable with a very large bed and en suite. Plenty of storage and a fridge that was very useful. Sade and Jonathan were perfect hosts and couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had a lovely stay.

Jonathan & Sade were extremely welcoming & friendly. Jonathan was very helpful and dealt with any queries efficiently and right away. The room was spacious and decorated beautifully & had a small en suite (toilet, sink & shower) and also had been provided with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel for the shower and hand soap and hand & body lotion (Faith in Nature) bottles to use. Appreciated the fan in the room to use also. The hallway and dining room were also decorated lovely and everything was clean throughout. Breakfast was superb and plentiful and Jonathan was nice and chatty and my partner would like to add that the pancakes at breakfast were fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back!

Just a little advice for anyone booking rather than a complaint, but the bathroom in room 2 is quite cramped, especially the shower. For someone taller, it was a bit of a squeeze!

Kethla house is in a great location, making it easy to get around and enjoy the surrounding area. Everything was very well managed and organised, which made the stay smooth and relaxing from start to finish. The room and all shared areas were spotless and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. The food was fresh, tasty, and offered a good variety. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything needed. Their excellent service really added to the overall experience. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.
