Jungfrau Hotel

This small hotel in Wilderswill was in the perfect location for the train station and also the wonderful view of the Jungfraujoch mountain range. It was quiet, friendly, had lots of character and although a little dated it was spotlessly clean with helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay away from the busy tourist area of nearby Interlaken. So glad I found this and a big thank you for looking after us so well.

Nothing to dislike. I believe the hotel is going to go under a renovation soon so I just hope it doesn’t lose the charm but for a quiet location and a view of the Jungfraujoch this is definitely the place to stay!

La fermeture définitive de l'hôtel le 24 octobre 2026. C'est bien dommage de ne pas investir dans la modernisation de cet hôtel, qui d'ailleurs n'est pas vétuste ou suranné.

Staff war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Frühstück war auch super toll und die Zimmer sehr sauber.

Es war 38 Grad draussen und wir hatten drinnen keine Klimaanlage und es war extrem heiss in den Zimmern.

Très bon accueil, le restaurant sur place nickel, très bon petit déjeuner, très bon literie, magnifique vue sur les montagnes depuis la terrasse.

Este prima data când spunând că apartamentul în care am stat ne-a depășit complet așteptările ni se pare ca nu am spus suficient . Cei care au creat interiorul lui cu toate dotările și aranjamentele interioare merită tot respectul nostru. EXCELENT !!!

It’s cozy and and typical Swiss. The location is very quiet and nice. There is a supermarkt and the train station on walking distance.

It wasn’t guest friendly at all. I asked for breakfast in a package for on the go at 18:04 for the next morning and it was rejected because they can serve it till 18:00. They didn’t help me with another solution. When I wanted to check no one was at the desk and the self check in made it not very personal. Also there wasn’t any help for dinner or breakfast arrangements.

The hotel was sensational, staff, incredible facilities, phenomenal, absolutely nothing to complain about! We will definitely visit it again!

The bathroom was not corresponding to the pictures of the booking, it was a very small bathroom which was like created afterwards, the sink was also only outside int the bedroom area. The breakfast was delicious, but with less variety.

Smuk smuk udsigt… beliggende var helt perfekt.. man følte og mærkede stilheden og virkeligt lækkert til et afbræk fra den travle hverdag… samtidig kun 3,5 km fra centrum… elskede det! Servicen var i top!

Elevatoren var lille… men ikke noget der påvirkede os direkte..

A veces había platos que no tenían en el restaurante a pesar de estar en la carta. Se oía mucho ruido de las otras habitaciones cuando pisaban el suelo o abrían slgún grifo. Se nota que instalaciones son mejorables.

No aircondition. It's not good for summer vacation. You cannot stay in the room during midday. It's too hot. There's only small electric fan.

Really great location, quiet away from the hordes of tourists in the bigger towns, but with frequent trains and buses to Interlaken and the valleys. Perfect convenient access to the Schynige Platte railway so I could get the first train up. Lovely view of Jungfrau from my balcony, and I got the corner room so felt like I had a lot of space. I could open the doors at night and it was pretty quiet. I liked having a little airer outside for my damp clothes too. My bed was comfy and my shower was powerful. The staff were lovely and very generous with my poor German, doing their best with English if they didn't speak it (most people spoke well). The breakfast ladies especially were so nice! It's such a shame this place is closing soon, because I'd definitely come back!

الموقع ممتاز، والنظافة كذلك، وطاقم العمل متعاون.

عند الدخول يتم توقيعك على ورقة تتضمن عدم الطبخ في الشقة، وعدم الكوي (توجد غرفة عامة في الفندق للكوي)، والماء لا يتجمع في ارضية الحمام. كذلك لايوجد شطاف في الحمام. ايضاً المواقف محدودة. كذلك الفطور محدود.

Fabulous location with amazing views from the front of the hotel. A few mins walk from the train station. Very good breakfast. Generally very happy and would stay again if it wasn't closing.

I booked a room with a view, was hoping it was at the front of the hotel. Didn't have a balcony but it didn't say it did so that was my fault. Really there wasn't anything I didn't like.

God morgenmad, fantastisk udsigt, afstand til stationen var kort, men stadig roligt område. Hjælpsomt og venligt personale.

Aftensmaden (burgeren) var ikke noget at fremhæve, hynder til stolene på balkonen manglede - man fik riller, ville være fedt med et lille køleskab.

On the positive side, Marco, who served us at lunch and dinner was outstanding. He was warm, humorous, efficient and made every meal a pleasure. The food was excellent throughout, and the Spare Ribs in particular was superb. We also loved the village itself. Every evening after dinner we enjoyed walking through its peaceful streets, and the surroundings were absolutely charming. Overall, while the hotel's location, food and dining service were excellent, the experience would be greatly improved by more accurate room photographs, the installation of ceiling fans or better cooling, and a friendlier, more attentive reception for guests.

We stayed at the hotel from 26 June and came away with mixed feelings. The biggest disappointment was the room. The photographs on the website were quite misleading, making it appear much larger than it actually was. In reality, the room was extremely small, with hardly any space even to place the kettle. There was no ceiling fan or air conditioning, and although a portable fan was provided, the receptionist had no idea where it should be placed . Given the cramped layout, we had no idea where to position it so that it would provide any real relief. We had expected a more practical and helpful response, especially after a long journey. We also found the receptionist rather cold, matter-of-fact and not particularly welcoming. For international guests who have travelled a long way and are paying over CHF 300 a night, a warmer reception and a greater willingness to help with problems would make a significant difference. At breakfast, the lady assisting the guests appeared quite serious and rather unfriendly. A smile and a more welcoming attitude would have enhanced the overall experience.

Great location to access everything in the area and only a couple of minutes walk to the train station. Room was simple but very clean and comfortable which was perfect for us as we left early each morning and back in the evening, ( tea/coffee, water available in room). Really enjoyed breakfast which set us up for the day - fresh food and good selection to suit everyone.

Superb location with view of the Jungfrau and Monch mountains. The village is close to Interlaken with an excellent train service throughout most of the region (hotel was only 5-7 minutes walk away). Staff were friendly and helpful. Possible to eat on the terrace as well as the dining room area. Very secure car parking available.

Although there is no fridge in the room, there is a large refridgerator in the reception area with secure personalised boxes in it if required. (Deposit CHF10 which is refundable). Unfortunately we were told that the hotel will close permanently in October as it is being turned into an elderly persons residence. A very great shame.

I liked the property. Been there before. Breakfast room is lovely. 2 mins walk to Wilderswil Train Station then you’re in Lauterbrunnen in 15 mins.

Magníficas vistas desde la habitación, con terraza muy agradable. Ubicación en zona muy tranquila para dar un paseo por los alrededores y a su vez a escasos cinco minutos de la estación de tren. Buen restaurante y buen desayuno. Destacar también la amabilidad del personal.

Chambre petite et pas clair lors de la reservation , il faisait chaud car pas d’AC, mais on avait un ventilateur. Pas avisée que nécessitait reservation pour le souper alors on a dû attendre 1heure

The washroom had a foul smell from a clogged bath hole! So felt the stay unpleasant! No air conditioning and no refrigerator. Very old property! Not worth it for the price!

Het personeel is super vriendelijk, goed ontbijt en de locatie is top. De kamer is ruim genoeg voor mij en schoon. Prijs-kwaliteit is erg goed/logisch (zie negatieve punten).

Ik geef het alleen punten aftrek voor de staat van de kamer, want het is flink verouderd. De tegels zitten los aan de badkamermuur en er zitten barsten in. De vloer loopt ook af. In de gang zit ook een rare hobbel. Het is goed dat ze gaan verbouwen, want dat is echt nodig.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Frühstück war gut. Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten in der Tiefgarage. Sehr gute Lage.

Die Ausstattung ist verbesserungswürdig.

This property is in a really quiet cute. Little town is super close to the train so it was very convenient to get to Lauterbrunnen and Griswald, which was awesome. Jonas was a total sweetheart, and I adored him. He made the experience better. The view from our room with spectacular looking at the mountains. Every morning was spectacular. It’s a really beautiful place. Very quiet lots of cows. That’s a sheep very Swiss. I really liked it.

There was no air-conditioning, but we really didn’t need it. That’s pretty much it.

Although I booked a economical room , I expected to be larger and an updated bathroom for the price we paid , compared with other hotels we booked in Switzerland.

Schönes Hotel in einer absolut perfekten Lage. Bahnhof um die Ecke und egal ob mit Zug oder Auto, von hier ist man schnell in allen Richtungen. Die Aussicht auf die Berge ist einfach nur traumhaft. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich.

Die Zimmer sind etwas klein und die Ausstellung etwas veraltet aber es ist dennoch alles da was man braucht. Das Frühstücksbuffet könnte etwas mehr Auswahl haben und auch mal nachgefüllt werden.

Personal muy amable, hotel muy limpio, desayuno exquisito, frutas frescas, huevos, yogurth, cereales, ensaladas, quesos y variedad de pan, etc, lo mejor las vistas espectaculares a la montaña y jardines hermosos y esta a 5 minutos a pie a la estación de wilderswil, sin duda volvería a este lugar.

The Jungfrau was everything I hoped: typical Swiss hotel, in a lovely and quiet village, and it had such friendly and efficient staff everywhere, front desk, breakfast, housekeeping... The room is cozy, clean and comfortable, with a few charming details that make the guests feel at home. Wilderswil has beautiful houses, flowers everywhere (in spring), and the locals I met were so polite and welcoming. There is even a small grocery store that opens on Sundays! The hotel is also very close to the train station, quite convenient, and it also has an adorable cow statue at the entrance, it's a mandatory picture! :) There is a small stable close by, with a few (real) cows too, which makes the bucolic landscape a dream come true. I will stay again at the Jungfrau, whenever I'm back in the Interlaken region.

I wish I could have stayed much longer. :)
