Great location just a couple of minutes walk to the pools. Big 2 bedroom apartment worked so well for our family group. Lots of separate spaces so kids could watch tv while adults read quietly elsewhere. Staff so friendly, helpful and accommodating, such a pleasant experience to have genuinely great customer service!

Great location easy walk to everything, towels for the pools was very handy, room was spacious, well laid out and appointed. Staff were super friendly.

My only negative was that the bed mattresses felt quite worn, and for the room we were in one bed was quite close to the bathroom door.

A large, warm room amid a very wet period in Hamner Springs / Canterbury area. After a bite to eat, not much else to do, so we tucked up to watch a Netflix movie in our room, so it was a plus to have that to watch on a wet and cold night! First time to stay in a lodge rather than a hotel - no wardrobe, which seems to be the norm in lodges but for one night, that was no problem. Would recommend here. Comfy bed. Parking available which was a plus.

Staying at tussock peak Lodge was very good everytime I go to hanmer springs I try and always stay at tussock peak Lodge Friendly staff and the rooms are very nice and very comfortable I would definitely recommend staying at tussock peak Lodge !! Glen Fahey

Great location, friendly staff, well priced

Staff are always lovely and helpful. The beds are the BEST. We love that we can park easily, and walk to everything we enjoy seeing and doing. Always a relaxing and entertaining place at the same time.

Staff were very friendly on arrival room was clean n comfortable unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to husband getting sick so never really got full use of accommodation and area

With the cooler weather the rooms need dehumidifier even with heat pump going windows were saturated inside and it wasn't really that cold 2 degrees outside

Everything was Great. The room was spacious and well appointed The view from our unit was lovely. The staff were very helpful . The laundry service they offered was so helpful and quick .

The only thing was there was only a microwave for cooking not a hot plate . But there was a Nespresso machine which was great.

This is a fantastic motel in a great location. The very best part of our stay was the exceptional customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for the manger, Fi. The washing service is fantastic. You can use the laundry for a small cost but the staff will also wash and dry your washing for you. There are complimentary towels to use at the pools across the road, and the units had everything we needed.

I found that some of the beds were too hard for my comfort or liking. I spoke to Fi about this who went out of her way to help me find one that was more to my liking in a different room, so I was much more comfortable the second night. The only other thing I wasn't really keen on was the bathroom is very narrow and small in the one bedroom apartment.

Tussock Peak really do go that extra mile. If you have any requests before you arrive, just ask… if they can they will help. The friendliness & helpfulness stands out above any other accommodation we have stayed in. The room was very clean & warm. We had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. We’ll definitely stay at Tussock Peak on our next visit.

Very friendly staff, tidy rooms and everything is within easy walking distance. Rooms are quiet and peaceful, well sound proofed.

The room was comfortable and the motel centrally located.

Room had Netflix supplied via wifi, but the property wifi was so poor you couldn't watch it. If we had stayed more than one night this would have been an issue. Supplied coffee, tea etc.. were brands generally found in cheaper motels.

If we could give this motel an 11 rating, we would! Fabulous room in all respects -- super comfortable bed, spacious, nice kitchenette, spa tub could be used as a huge shower (with great water pressure!), useful and fun balcony where we ate and enjoyed the view. Staff outstanding, thanks so much to Emma and company! Location is close to the hot springs and park.

Tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, good facilities and great location.

Car parks are too small, making it very difficult for anything other than a smaller car.

Nice, comfortable room, very spacious, loved the spa bath, and the balcony got the afternoon sun which was lovely.

$20 flat fee to charge EVs is very steep. Especially as you can charge at the pools for free.

Very clean rooms with a kitchen in the studio room. Bed absolutely comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly when checking in at reception. Even had towels to use for free to go to hamner hot Springs. Its 5 mins walking distance to the hot pools. Walking distance to town centre.

The amount of light coming through the glass entry door, made it hard to sleep. Needs a blind on it.

Absolutely lovely place, with gorgeous staff who accommodated our early check with a smile . The room was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. Hotel provided towels for guest to take to the hot pools free of charge. Staff will do your laundry, dry it and deliver to your room for $10 NZ! Walking distance to everything beautiful Hanmer has to offer. Highly recommended. Thanks Tussock Peak.
