Das ganze Hotel war vergammelt sehr dreckig, das Frühstück war genießbar, aber nicht gut. Im Restaurant abends musste man aufpassen, das man nicht an den Tischen festklebte. Die Betten waren unbequem, das Badezimmer wie alles vergammelt und dreckig. Da die Parkgelegenheit auf der Straße nur von 6pm bis 08.30am + 1 Stunde mit Parkscheibe möglich war, musste man recht früh aufstehen, sich beim Frühstück beeilen, um dann pünktlich weg zu sein, damit es keinen Strafzettel gibt. Das Bild ist definitiv geschönt, da es auch von außen sehr unansehnlich ist.

On steet parking but the owner was there to help and advised me where to park and was all good

I stayed here while cycling along Hadrian's Cycleway. The staff were nice and helpful. I appreciated that they accommodated storing my bicycle. The location was convenient. It was nice that there was breakfast.

The linens and towels could have been cleaner. The bed wasn't very comfortable.

Die Holztreppe zu den Zimmer ist stark abgenutzt und könnte ausgebessert werden. Frühstück kann man sich sparen, ich liebe englisches Frühstück, aber die Qualität ließ stark zu wünschen übrig.

Warm welcome: everyone was really nice, the rum was big and comfortable, and the breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty.

The room was too hot but it was noisy outside so We couldn't open the windows. Parking was difficult - fortunately the disc system isn't in operation on Sunday.

Landing a stairs felt very dirty. Didn't smell great. Room was very dated. Shower did not work also taps weren't fitted to the bath correctly. Pretty sure there was bed bugs!!

We attended a party in the hotel, the function room was lovely and staff were friendly

The room was very dated needs updated. Shower was rubbish and the bath matt was disgusting. Needs a bit of bleach, a good clean. Carpet was dirty and the the bedsheets had hair on.

The breakfast was very good value for the money. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very close to town centre. And bus Station.

I would like to have been there longer

A quirky yet charming building, with a very friendly and helpful owner. The place has a warm, family-like atmosphere. If you’re staying in Workington to watch the speedway, you’re sure to meet other fans in the on-site bar.

The family room was great size and the staff were so lovely and welcoming

It was really hot throughout. They did provide fans but they weren’t the best

Good price ,food was decent ,staff were friendly If you travel by car you are close to the Lake District and Carlisle with prices a lot lower than you would pay in the lakes or Carlisle

Very hard to find as there is no signage Yellow lines and permit parking around the hotel meant parking was a distance away

The facilities are poor. The building is outdated and the double beds are two singles pushed together (zip beds).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom was large. Selection of the food served in the restaurant was sort of limited with no healthy option. Typical English cuisine. Free parking outside the hotel and good wifi connection.

The state of the furniture and bathroom. It was cleaned but could do with an upgrade. Broken old furniture, light not working above the sink. I really didn't like the breakfast.

The door to my room didnt open easily due to the carpet, the hallway carpet is in need of replacing

The room was filthy. Shower was mouldy, not clean, left over shower gel on the base. Curtains were disgusting, filthy and marks on . The ceiling had brown patches on, and the furniture looked like it had been kicked about. The room smelt of stale grease.

the carpet in the stairs and landing need replacing as it looks old. First flight of stairs a bit narrow so a bit awkward going up the stairs with luggage

When I had an evening meal both the TV and music were on at the same time.

My stay was definitely worth the price. The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I was simply looking for a place where I could relax, have some privacy, and get a good rest—and that’s exactly what I found. It was quiet, peaceful, and I had no issues at all.

Staff were welcoming & helpful. Lady on reception couldn't do enough for us. Proximity to rugby ground was great.

Food was not brilliant, gammon gristly & curry barely warm. Didn't understand the poppadom when no accompaniments were provided. Tried to have a drink at lunchtime but were told quite forcefully there was no room as all tables were taken. We could have stood at the bar maybe? But could see we weren't welcome.

The customer service was excellent with all staff being extremely friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent with a great choice on the menu and the portions huge!

Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Just a short walk from bus station and town centre .

The breakfast ended at 8.30 which was a little early for us .

The hotel is very central, with on street parking available with a parking permit obtainable from Reception for 1 hour Monday-Saturday until 6pm. On Sundays there are no time restrictions for parking. There was a substantial full English breakfast on offer plus cereal and toast each morning…The staff were very helpful and friendly. My room had an en-suite shower, hairdryer, tv and tea and coffee making facilities.

There was no lift and I had a lot of luggage with me, but the night porter kindly carried my suitcase to room 18 for me on the second floor. The decor is tired and worn, but that is reflected in the very reasonable price!

Absolutely superb food both at breakfast and evening meal Staff were friendly yet professional and the hotel was clean. True value for money

From arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, everything you could want from juice, tea and coffee, cereal, toast and a lovely fry up. Definitely stay there again.

Fire alarm went off and it took about 5 minutes for us to realise it was infact a fire alarm (same happened with my friend to which wheb he came out of his room to ask what the noise was he was just told “oh it’s probably nothing just go back to your room” no checks done to either my friends room or mine Once I grabbed my dog we blundered down the hallway nothing was aluminised managed to find a fire exit so went down to where it said fire exit and tripped (again no lighting around the stairs) and it was only on the THIRD door I tried I found the fire escape only to find out (to what I could not see at the time) it was BOLTED SHUT Spoke to the manager who said they had all been unbolted and that they check to see if they are unblocked every day but that doesn’t exude the fact they shouldn’t have locked on there on the first place as i couldn’t get out!!

Room cleanliness and comfort were good, reception staff service was excellent, nothing to much trouble.

Breakfast not buffet style as usual. This time cooked to order with a little to much fat. No toast or preserves offered. Cleanliness and decor in the upper floors not so good. Stair carpet needed a good vacuum and clean.

I thought the staff here were the real highlight, very friendly, personable and polite, the room was very clean, really enjoyed our stay, gave us a good impression of Workington (which isn't always a given...)

As it was a contractors hotel, I expected a little noise and was not disappointed, the room did have a little street noise but that is out of hotels control

All the staff we met where very nice and helpful. Drinks where good. Breakfast was brilliant. And there cheese and onion sandwich withe the chips . Best I've tasted. And the guy behind the bar was great. Second time we have stayed there now.

Bedroom was a shambles. Very poor condition of room with wooden plank under mattress to support it. Offered another room next night but decided it was better to leave early.

Very comfortable bed. Very friendly stuff. Great breakfast, when I spoke to locals within the town they had very high things to say about this place and most of it was proven right. Very very much enjoyed the breakfast. That was a bit tentative in why I picked up and I wasn't too sure how much I could take but it was very tasty and I the stuff were very lovely especially the lady in the morning

The television in the room did not work properly and was probably very outdated which was a shame as apart from the shower having issues with the door and not being able to keep the show ahead in one place. I really enjoyed staying here as I
