Baluarte da Vila Apartments

Pool was lovely. Staff were all kind and helpful. The lady at reception was very good at suggesting local activities and was always lovely to us. Kitchen is a good size. Bathroom very nice and clean.

Bin was still full from previous guest. The paint has come off the hobs so had to figure out use, as none of the temperature indicators were there. We messaged ahead of booking to ask if the beds were all double and we booked a room they confirmed was a double bed. However the bed was 2 single mattresses on a double frame. It wasn't a massive issue it was just slightly uncomfortable and something I wanted to avoid when messaging. The beds were comfortable if avoiding the centre where the 2 mattresses meet.

Wir hätten uns etwas Verpflegung gewünscht, auch Getränke und Snacks sind in der Anlage nicht verfügbar, aber die Rezeption hat uns tolle Tips zu caffees und Bars in der nähe mitgeteilt, die wirklich klasse waren.

Fabulous location and views from the terrace were lovely. Pool was quiet and height of place meant a cooling breeze. Food in restaurants nearby was excellent

Husband found hill to place and internal stairs challenging for his problematic hip. Most folk would be fine though. Sort of upside down place on the side of a hill. Going down from reception.

La ubicación a solo 5 minutos de la calle principal con restaurante y tiendas… Nos alojamos en uno de los deptos con terraza.. excepto por toooodos los escalones, bellísimo!

Гарне розташування в Старому центрі.Тихо і спокійно ,але все поруч.Чистий басейн.Дуже зручно що він завжди відкриті...

Для такої високої ціни аренди ,бракує полотенце для пляжу ,пральна та посудомийна машина .Та я думаю що миючи засоби могли бути в номері без нагадування на рецепції.Були проблеми з телевізором він не ловив ні ін-т ні канали..Нам треба також було нагадувати щоб це все підключили.Добре що дівчина на рецепції швидко реагувала,щоб вирішити такі питання... Та я думаю камера зберігання валіз та речей бракує..Персонал присутній тільки до 17..Потім неможливо залишити речі...Дуже не зручно для такого міста.

Beaucoup trop cher. Pas très bon rapport qualité/prix. Manque d’équipements dans les appartements. La climatisation très désuète et pas très efficace. Nous faire sortir de la piscine en plein jour pour faire un traitement.

It's a large complex and there's quite some noise that woke us up in the evenings. The apartment rules state that it should be quiet at night. Unfortunately other people didnt pay attention to that late at night.

It was so clean. The view from the rooftop terrace was awesome. The beds were comfortable and the staff was great.

Location was perfect, Everything is walking distance. Beds were comfy, and the double was huge. Rooms were spacious, Beautiful views from the top terrace. Kids loved the pool area. Overall a lovely apartment.

Downstairs toilet flushed now and again, Terrace floors needed a sweep prior to us arriving. No tea/coffee which I thought is standard everywhere. Had to wait 2 days to get beach towels as they had run out so we paid and waited.

Ausstattung in der Küche sehr minimalistisch - Nudeln kochen geht , mehr aber nicht Sofa wahnsinnig unbequem - man konnte die Stangen alle durchfühlen …

The pictures of the property are enhanced, yes there is a swimming pool but not like the one in the picture. The rooms has a stingy smell, tv was not smart but they exchanged it with a smart one ( tiny one). The location is fine but hard to be found by uber. The room it self looks more like a guest house, old not comfy and most of the lights don’t work .

The location was fantastic, super close to the centre and the beach yet still quiet. The pool was lovely and private and the staff were amazing.

The pool wasn’t always the cleanest, lots of debris blown in from trees and not cleaned daily

The property was in a green location with a lovely sea view we had a little balcony which was nice for a drink in the evening

The bed was very hard snd the pillows needed to be replaced , they must have been really old pillows seems trivial but we didn’t sleep well

The apartments were really clean. Good matrasses. We really liked the location. Close to the beach, easy walk into the town. Loads of very nice restaurants.

In apartment 302 the smell of cleaning products was really too intense. You could work on the lights in the bathroom of room 403. Also we used the stove. The stove settings were not readible anymore.

Great location and great roof top view . Large rooms and good facilities re the kitchen and fridge .

The bathroom needs updating . The shower curtain around the bath needed replacing . It would be better with just a modern shower in there . Some of the pool areas needs attention , just a little tired looking .

Felt really welcomed by the staff ( Andrea) always friendly and accomodating. The room was freshly decorated overlooking the pool which was great setup with ample sun loungers and outdoor shower.

Tolle Unterkunft in perfekter Lage und trotzdem ruhig. Die Mitarbeiter waren super hilfsbereit und haben uns tolle Tipps für Restaurant und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten gegeben.

Fijne locatie, dicht bij strand en stad. Mooie studio met balkon.

Onze studio, en vele andere kamers, kijken uit op het zwembad. Dit vond ik persoonlijk wat minder ivm geluid en privacy.

Lovely studio apartment with gorgeous view. Location was excellent, can walk everywhere. Cleaned rooms and new towels every two days.

Pool appeared to have a scum on top and had items like stones, leaves and sand so possibly just needs more regular cleaning. Apartment needed new pillows.

The location was exactly what I aim for, just far enough out that you don’t have the noise of the city center, but you can walk everywhere within ~ 10 mins / 20 mins to the marina area which I really enjoyed. Street parking near the fire station was also a plus ( 2 minute walk )

Shampoo and body wash quantity were small. Ring your own beach towel for ease of pool use.

Great location inside the old fortress walls in the city centre. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean was in the distance but easily visible and still close enough to hear the waves crashing on shore.

Our room was a bit smaller than anticipated but certainly adequate, it even had a small kitchenette area that was useful. We felt a loveseat or small sofa may have been a nice addition if space allowed.

Loved the small kitchen and access to the pool. It’s in a great location to shops, restaurants and beaches.

The front desk is only onsite a few hours in the morning and again in the afternoon so you do need to be mindful about your arrival time, if you need pool towels, etc. They were very friendly and helpful!

Suck a beautiful place. The room was perfect and the pool area gorgeous. We had an amazing room and a rooftop terrace with spectacular views. The staff was very helpful. I would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend. Very centrally located with easy walks to shop and restaurants.

There wasn’t any dislikes

Jessica at the front was very helpful and friendly. It is a beautiful property, well maintained with a lively pool. Access to old town is straightforward and easy.

Our apartment was quite dark as we looked out onto the street and there was construction fabric on the building across. This also meant noise. It was so windy that we couldn’t use the patio umbrella so very exposed on the rooftop. Also the only towel hooks in the whole place were in the main bathroom upstairs. No towel hooks in the downstairs bathroom, kitchen or anywhere else to hang pool towels or sweaters.

My only complaint is that the reception desk is often unstaffed, which was slightly annoying if I wanted to borrow a towel or something. I think you can just call the WhatsApp number though.

Sehr, sehr schönes Apartment iin einem wundervollen alten Gebäude in der Altstadt von Lagos. Herrlicher Blick über den Pool zum Atlantik. Geschäfte, Bars und Restaurants sind in wenigen Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Jessica von der Rezeption ist eine wahnsinnig nette und hilfsbereite Person, die jede Menge Tipps für Unternehmungen parat hatte und uns tolle Restaurants mit köstlicher lokaler Küche empfohlen hat. Als wir versehentlich eine Beschädigung im Bad verursacht haben, kam sie uns sehr entgegen und konnte trotz Wochenende kompetent die Reparatur organisieren. An dieser Stelle nochmals ein ganz dickes Obrigada, liebe Jessica!

Das Licht im Bad dürfte für ältere Damen ein bisschen heller sein 😁.

Quiet and beautiful pool

These self contained villa apartments are beautifully presented and situated only a short stroll from Lagos centre and its beautiful beaches. The outlook to the pool and ocean is stunning, and both the rooms and surrounding atmosphere completed our Lagos experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful in making recommendations based on our preferences which we thoroughly enjoyed. There is plenty of free parking in the surrounding streets, and a well-stocked supermarket nearby. We would highly recommend staying here!

Lo mejor son las vistas desde la terraza, la ubicación, la piscina y la amabilidad del personal. El apartamento está muy limpio, es grande y la cocina está bien surtida.

Las cortinas de la habitación dejan pasar mucho la luz. La limpieza no es diaria (cada 2 días) y sólo ponen gel/champú el día de llegada.

We had a little trouble with our door in 106 being tricky to get into otherwise a great stay.

Did not get notification of room number or lockbox code until a few hours before our arrival, but all was good upon arrival and got into the room nicely. An email explaining the process to check in a few days before arrival would have helped.

Our apartment was clean and we enjoyed having the kitchenette. We were close to the pool area and it was quiet, yet close to the centre of town as well as the beaches.

The three levels got to be tiresome and the rooftop terrace was not made to be as inviting as it could be.

Das Apartment war fußläufig zur Stadt gelegen und mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht.

Leider war es sehr hellhörig. Das Nebenapartment hatte anscheinend eine Treppe. Man hat jeden Schritt gehört. Sogar wenn Schubladen aufgemacht wurden hat man es gehört.

Leider sind die Zimmer nicht mehr so schön wie auf den Fotos, aufgrund hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit oder genereller Feuchtigkeit sind die Wände in einem schlechten Zustand, gleiches gilt für die Möbel. Es riecht zudem muffig.

Location can’t be beat in old town. Excellent staff did our check in and gave so much helpful information. Balcony overlooking the pool was amazing for morning coffee and late night dessert and pool was great for sun tanning ( but too cold in May for us to swim)

Hot tub wasn’t working and towels changed every other day. When you’re at the beach or pool, we prefer to shower more often and fresh towels daily is preferred. Did run out of hot water last night but no staff to inform about the issue.

Lovely to have a swimming pool. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Studio room was compact but thoughtfully designed. Room was serviced during our stay which was a pleasant surprise.

Wardrobe smelled damp so we didn’t hang our clothes up.

Love this spot! Studio apartment had everything we needed, bonus was a cute patio overlooking the pool. Great views of the sea and beach beyond. Pool was amazing. Location was just perfect - a couple blocks to historic Lagos or the beach but tucked away enough that it was very quiet and peaceful. Wonderful staff. Very clean. Big comfy bed.

Would love to see more hair conditioner (not just conditioning shampoo) in all Portuguese hotels

Exceeded expectations - the apartment was so big! It had a beautiful roof terrace. Was really comfortable and had great features. Lovely grounds, fab location. Such brilliant value for money. I’ll be recommending it to everyone.

Iets te zachte bedden. We wisten niet dat het appartement drie verdiepingen had. Keuken, slaapkamer en dakterras. Opzich prima, maar met een klein kindje niet heel praktisch. Misschien iets duidelijker vermelden op de site. Het water van het zwembad was te koud. Als het verwarmd was geweest hadden we daar meer gebruik van gemaakt.

Sehr moderne Ferienwohnungen in einem schönen Haus am Rande der Altstadt. Sehr sauber, Pool mit Liegen, Küchenbereich mit kompletter Ausstattung, perfekte Lage. Pure Erholung nach dem Fischerpfad.

Walking up the long hill, sofa seat was too deep (for people with short legs). Sugar and a few basic herbs & spices would have been nice to have in the cupboard, also an ice cube tray!

Nothing because it smelled very bad. Within 20 years travelling I never had such a terrible place to stay!

The smell in room 401 was horrible. Usually after we used water in the bathroom it started to be very smelly within 5 minutes. The girl Jessica admitted that there is a problem after the first night and they fixed it when we came back in second day. We trusted this but within the second night I went to sleep outside on the terrace as I couldn't handle it anymore. Third night I got some drinks to handle it. I never stayed in a place like this. These holidays have been ruined! The pictures show the dirt on the terrace and in front of your sea view. The toilet seat made also s terrible noise when closing it.

Tres bien situé, très spacieux, très propre, très accueillant et très facile de se garer dans les rues avoisinantes . Je conseille.
