Die Unterkunft ist super zentral, sodass man alles in der Umgebung zu Fuß erkunden kann. Maria ist ganz herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist super lecker unf mehr als ausreichend.

The place was just like the pictures, clean and comfortable, with great AC. The host was very helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great stay!

Balkon, Sonnenschirme zum ausleihen für den Strand und unser Balkon waren super.

Im Zimmer war ein ganz strenger Geruch, wir mussten immer sofort die Türe aufmachen und erstmal die Luft anhalten. Das sollte dringend überprüft werden.

Excellent petit déjeuner. Proximité du centre ville et sortie kayak où l'on peut se rendre à pied.

L’emplacement était idéal ! Les lieux étaient très propre et l’hôtel très sympathique et accueillante.

Cannot help the situation, just know entry into the facility was a little frustrating. Check your phone for instructions. Know you are hauling your own luggage upstairs and you are good.

Great central location and despite how busy it was outside, it was quiet inside. Also we had the breakfast, which was an amazing array of foods served up by the host…

Nothing really

A charming guesthouse in the heart of the city. Despite its central location, the excellent windows kept the room pleasantly quiet, so we slept very well. The breakfast was superb, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Wir hatten ein schönes geräumiges Zimmer mit Balkon und Zugang zur Terrasse. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und herzlich eingerichtet. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine kleine Überraschung vom Haus. Maria ist sehr freundlich und hilft bei allen Anliegen. Die Unterkunft ist trotz zentraler Lage ruhig gelegen, man erreicht zu Fuß alles was man braucht.

The lack of air circulation.

Struttura molto vicino al centro ma collocata in un posto silenzioso. Stanza pulita e con tutto l’occorrente. Liquori, noccioline offerte. C’è stata data la possibilità anche di prendere in prestito i racchettoni per giocare in spiaggia. La camera è stata pulita ogni giorno.

L’unica cosa per chi fatica a camminare non c’è l’ascensore.

Perfectly located as it’s not near the loud hustle of the old town but so close to everything you need at the same time. Maria was a lovely host, very communicative.

Nothing not to like, only just construction next door but only bothered us one morning. It is also slight up hill if that’s a bother to anyone :)

Excelente ubicación, apenas a unas cuadras de la playa. La habitación es cómoda, cuenta con heladera y pava eléctrica. Además hay una cocina de uso común con elementos para preparar desayuno o calentar comida

Nuestra habitación estaba en 2 piso por escalera. Si bien no fue un problema para nosotros, lo comento para que lo tengan en cuenta

Very central location, very quiet, wonderful breakfast and a very friendly and attentive host Maria. Thank you. Large free, public parking just 5 minutes walk away. Make sure to try the Illicit Burger place just round the corner.

Spacious comfortable well-appointed; fabulous location with restaurants, shops, beach and attractions right at your doorstep. Merry lives up to her name.

There were renovations being made to adjacent properties so there were intolerable noises all day long.

La chambre et l'accueil

The location is fantastic! It’s right in the middle of old town Lagos, close to all of the stores and restaurants. It’s also a nice easy walk to get to the coast and the fort. Checking in was super easy, and the room was perfect for what we needed. There is a mini fridge in the room, and a microwave downstairs. As mentioned in the description, there was a little bit of noise from the construction next door, but it wasn’t too loud, and it didn’t start early in the morning or go late, so it really didn’t bother us.

Amazing and caring host! The location was great and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. My partner and I had a great time

Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber. Der Check-in hat super funktioniert. Wir hatten einen kleinen Balkon mit Blick auf die Altstadt und ein wenig Meer. Sogar einen Sonnenschirm hätten wir aufstellen können, auch eine Wäscheleine war vorhanden. Das Frühstück war wunderbar und sehr vielfältig! Maria ist sehr freundlich. Zur Begrüßung steht eine Flasche Wasser, eine kleine Flasche Wein und eine kleine Knabberei zur Verfügung. Die Lage in der Altstadt ist super, zu Fuß ist man wirklich überall schnell! Etwas unangenehm empfanden wir - das ist aber Geschmackssache - die vielen Duftstäbchen. Der Duft im Zimmer und im Hausflur war schon sehr dominant und für empfindliche Nasen unangenehm. Ja und es ist spät abends laut von den Kneipen, aber die doppelte Balkontür plus elektrischer Rollläden haben uns gut schlafen lassen. Wer leichten Schlaf hat und mit offenem Fenster schlafen muss, wird eher keine Ruhe haben. Wir würden wieder kommen!

We had a wonderful stay at Merry’s House and can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. Maria, the host, is incredibly kind and attentive. You can immediately feel how much love and passion she puts into her place. Everything is designed with great care and many thoughtful little details that make the stay truly special. The rooms are very clean, cozy, and well equipped. If you like, they are even tidied up daily, which we really appreciated. The breakfast, which can be booked additionally, is absolutely excellent – fresh, varied, and prepared with a lot of love. We especially liked that you can take any leftovers with you as a lunch package for the day. We felt completely comfortable and welcome with Maria and would come back anytime.

Veldig stort og komfortabelt rom med egen balkong – helt fantastisk! Hotellet ligger svært sentralt, men samtidig i en rolig gate, så det er lett å slappe av. Man kan også bestille en veldig rikholdig og god frokost. Perfekt kombinasjon av beliggenhet, komfort og service. Jeg kommer garantert til å bo her igjen neste gang jeg er i Lagos :)

Super clean and comfy, had everything I could want and need. Great bed, AC, easy central location, no fuss, and just let me do my thing. I would definitely return!

Accueil parfait. Logement très propre, confortable, le petit balcon est un plus. Quartier central mais étonnamment chambre au calme, aucun bruit. Climatisation agréable au vu des températures de l’Algave. Au total nous recommandons à 100% ce logement pour une visite de Lagos.

Merry’s house was very nicely located near Lagos old town, with plenty of options for good dining within several minutes of walking. The view was decent as you could see the main channel leading into Lagos from the ocean. The bed was comfortable and the place had plenty of room for the two of us. Communication was good—we had no problems getting in

No great place to park, but that’s typical in the Portuguese historic city centres. We did find a ramp that was within about a five minute walk.

The host and staff were super friendly. The location was perfect. The room was comfortable and had an excellent balcony.

Maria is an amazing hostess, always smiling and ready to answer any questions. Maria put lots of creativity and thought into the morning breakfast with different items every day, and it was always delicious. We stayed in the pretty violet room, which was well appointed with everything we needed and was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with a selection of pillows as well. The water pressure in the shower was great, with good hot water. The room had a nice balcony with water view, and a spectacular sunrise view. It had a table, chairs, and umbrella. The location was great, in Old Town, close to restaurants and shops. It was very easy to walk everywhere. We highly recommend staying at Merry's House, Maria makes you feel like family.

Bellissima casa con stanze spaziose, pulite e accoglienti. Fornita di ogni confort. Merry è fantastica e le sue colazioni sono superlative! Un gioiello nel centro di Lagos a pochi passi dalle principali attrazioni.

Maria’s attention to detail was amazing. She had welcome water, port wine and small snacks available on arrival. The room was spacious and clean and looked much better than in the pictures even. Check in/check out was smooth and easy.

La ubicación del alojamiento es excelente! A una cuadra del centro histórico y a dos de la costanera. La habitación de muy buenas dimensiones, muy limpia, con todo lo necesario y decorada con muy buen gusto. 100% recomendable!!

Location was perfect!

The room smelled weird! Kind of like sweage… after a few minutes in the room with the a/c on we couldn’t smell it, but every time we re-entered the room the smell was there
