Sehr netter Gastgeber mit gutem Frühstück und die Zimmer sind sauber. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Weniger als 10min zu den Restaurants. Parkplatz ist vorhanden. Hätte gerne 9,5 Punkte vergeben.

Die Betten sind etwas durchgelegen.

Mark and Helen have carefully kept the historic charm of the house while providing all the mod cons. The bed was comfortable, the food was delicious, the location was convenient, and the host was very personable and gave good recommendations. There was complimentary cake and sherry set out in the lounge.

The attached bathroom to our room needs a power outlet and proper towel bars, but we heard the plans for renovating this room and are confident it will be top notch when it is completed.

Access to shops and restaurants was great

The owners really go all the way to make your stay wonderful ! Congratulations for their very personal approach ! Comfortable clean bed and room, delicious breakfast, lovely conversations, and on top of that complimentary delicious cake and porto in the common room. You won’t regret your stay there.

Mark ed Helen sono stati davvero accoglienti e questa loro caratteristica si riflette nell'arredamento della guest house: il letto a baldacchino in legno intagliato nella nostra camera (n*1) era romantico e moderno al tempo stesso, con vista sul paese da una grande finestra. Ci hanno coccolato con servizi "complimentary" dalla torta al cioccolato sempre pronta in soggiorno agli ombrelli per uscire (comodissimi essendo Pitlochry facile da girare a piedi da li, e il tempo piovoso in quei giorni). Menzione speciale per la colazione: preparata in base alla scelta degli ospiti (da ampia selezione) e presentata con cura.

Weinig op aan te merken alleen de douche straal was minimaal. En pand is vrij gehorig.

Das B&B hat eine super zentrale und dennoch absolut ruhige Lage. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und offen, wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt. Das Haus und die Zimmer sind stilvoll und mit teilweise antikem Mobiliar ausgestattet. Besonders erwähnenswert ist das sehr umfangreiche Frühstück, was zwischen 8 und 9 Uhr serviert wird - teilweise in Büffetform, teilweise mit täglichen wählbaren umfangreichen Speisen wie Omelette oder Waffeln. Abends haben wir im gemütlichen Salon gelesen, eine SB-Bar und örtliche Wanderführer sind vorhanden. Eine super Unterkunft für alle, die ab Pitlochry wandern wollen und Uhr schätzen.

The b and b was super cute and very comfortable . We wee presented with a breakfast of great variety . Most importantly the service was extraordinary . Mark was always asking if we needed any help . We could not obtain transport from the train station so he offered to meet us and helped so much with our luggage on the walk back to the b and b . We will never forget his kindness!!

Zeer vriendelijke gastheer en erg service gericht. Voortreffelijk ontbijt en, belangrijk, gericht op het voorkomen van onnodig weggooien van etenswaren.

Accommodatie is prima, maar allerhande renovaties zijn nog gepland. Voor ons voldoet dit echter ruimschoots.

Lovely comfortably appointed room and pretty bathroom, cake and sherry were a delightful surprise. Tasty breakfast, eggs were delicious. Mark made sure we had everything we needed. Nice location for our walk to dinner. It would make a lovely base for all the activities and sights to see in the area!

The breakfast choice and quality of the food was excellent. The smoked salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was particularly delicious and such a generous portion!

Tipica casa scozzese, curata e accogliente, a pochi passi dalla splendida strada principale di Pitlochry. Parcheggiare è stato semplicissimo e Mark si è dimostrato un ospite cordiale e davvero piacevole. Gli spazi comuni sono ordinati e molto gradevoli, arricchiti da tanti piccoli extra: torta, Porto e varie bibite offerte con generosità. La stanza era comoda, pulita e arredata con gusto; il bagno fornito di tutto il necessario. Bed: eccellente & breakfast: ottimo! Un soggiorno impeccabile: ci tornerei volentieri.

Everything!! We had a wonderful stay at this B&B and were warmly welcomed by our host, who was absolutely lovely, incredibly helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were comfortable, and everything was very clean and welcoming. We especially loved the little extras: there was delicious chocolate cake available every day, as well as sherry. These thoughtful touches really made our stay feel special. It’s those little details that make a difference and make us think that if we ever come back to the area, this B&B will be the first place we think of. Overall, a truly wonderful experience, made even better by the lovely people who run this place. We highly recommend it and would happily stay here again! The French 🇫🇷

Man kommt an und wird super freundlich von Mark empfangen. Das war unser erster Eindruck! Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles verlief sehr entspannt, Mark hatte immer ein paar Tipps parat. Man merkt, dass er und Helen mit Herz bei der Sache sind. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, Nachmittags konnte man sich beim Kuchen bedienen. Das Hotel ist nicht weit vom Ortskern entfernt, es sind vielleicht 5min zu Fuß. Man kann das Auto auf dem Parkplatz vom Guest House kostenlos parken. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön ausgestattet und haben alles was man braucht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Sehr gepflegtes Haus! Gastgeber freundlich, aufmerksam, zuvorkommend- ein cooler Typ. Prima Frühstück, reichhaltig und frisch zubereitet.

Welcoming hosts and beautifully decorated. We had the downstairs bedroom which had everything you would need. From a great coffee machine to cosy slippers. Room was clean, shower was hot and the bed was super comfy. Complimentary Coffee and walnut cake awaited us in the lounge with a sniffle of port and an honesty bar. Great breakfast, all local produce, great choice and cooked to perfection. My uploaded photos don’t really do it justice but It will definitely be our place to stay when we visit again.

Hartelijke ontvangst door de gastheer die je oprecht verwelkomt en wegwijs maakt. Parkeren op eigen terrein bij dit prachtige “huis” met nog een gemeenschappelijke woonkamer waar je kunt zitten en waar je een drankje uit de koelkast kunt pakken en zelf “op je kaartje” kunt schrijven. Kamers zijn super netjes en schoon, koffie of thee zoveel je wilt en het ontbijt wordt vers bereid, Scottish of Continental, wat je wilt en aanvullend nog van alles aan yoghurt, muesli, zelfgebakken pastries, echt lekker!

Eigenlijk was alles prima, alleen ons 2-persoons bed had wel zijn beste tijd gehad en we lagen iets in een kuil, geen ramp maar een goed matras had het een 10 gemaakt!

Breakfast was excellent, host (Mark) was the nicest, and the bed was really comfy (which was much needed after a day full of hiking and driving) What more can you ask for? We had a very pleasant stay in Pitlochry.

Vi har rejst i hele verden og dette er absolut ét af de bedste overnatningssteder, når man ser på helheden. Værelset var i en rigtig hyggelig skotsk stil, rent og pænt. Der var alt, hvad man havde brug for - og med udsigt til det smukke højland. Beliggenheden var helt optimal i rolige omgivelser og kun 5 minutters gang til centrum. Morgenmaden var virkelig af høj standard med mulighed for at vælge specielle retter lavet med kærlig hånd af de bedste lokale råvarer. Carra Beag House bærer tydelig præg af Helen & Marks varme gæstfrihed og ønsker om, at give gæsterne den bedste oplevelse. Vi kan kun give de bedste anbefalinger :-)

Mark was very friendly and assisted with recommendations. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious. Room was beautiful, they had thought of everything. Icing on the cake was the hair straightener in our room!

Vi har rejst i hele verden. Boet på mange B&B. Dette er absolut i top 3. Alt er skinnede rent. Værelserne lyse og hyggelige. Udsigten over bjergene er fantastisk. Morgenmaden er super lækker, lavet af friske råvarer. De serverer verdens bedste omelet!! Værterne er meget gæstfrie. Det gør alt for at man skal føle sig hjemme. Stedet ligger centralt. Tæt på shops, restaurant, bar og tog/bus station. Gode muligheder for hikes. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.

Thank you so much for your flexibility. We weren’t able to arrive by 7 pm, but they were incredibly kind and accommodating about our late arrival. Our room had everything we needed — once we had figured out how the shower controls worked. :-) And the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal! :-)

Oh, and please consider replacing the bedside table with a slightly larger one. :-)

Hard to fault this property,parking a bit of a squeeze but seems to be plenty of space directly outside on the residential road so I don't think you'd have a problem

We loved staying in this beautifully furnished historic house. We were struck by Mark's warmth and professionalism. The spacious rooms, the attention to detail, and the excellent traditional breakfasts make this a truly special place. We hope to visit again!

The host is most helpful with knowledge of local points of interest. They also provide compcards fir a couple of local restaraunts. The breakfast are complete and very filling. Beds are comfy, premises clean. The cake and are very nice touch in the afternoon.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, but can be tight if you have a few suitcases.

Marc et son accueil plus que chaleureux, familial je dirais. Aux petits soins à chaque instant dans une maison fabuleuse décorée avec soin. Mieux qu'un hôtel avec les mêmes équipements mais pas impersonnel. On a plus envie de partir et à un pas du centre du'e petite ville fabuleuse.

Een uiterst charmante locatie. De bedden zijn heel goed (enorm pluspunt), alles is netjes en goed geregeld. Maar wat alles overtreft is de gastvrijheid van Mark en Helen. De warme ontvangst, het heerlijke ontbijt met de geweldige keuzes die worden aangeboden, de salon om wat te drinken en te relaxen.

Amazing B & B with homemade cake and sherry for afternoon tea. My single room was charming with ensuite shower bathroom. The hosts were friendly & interactive. Breakfast was EXCELLENT! Relatively close to the train station but a bit of an uphill walk. I definitely would have stayed longer if I was able. Plan to return. A+++++

This is an amazing little B&B with simply incredible hosts. We had the top floor room which offered wonderful views of Pitlochry, and the breakfast home-cooked by the owners was simply delightful - you must try the porridge! :) The love and care the hosts put into this Inn shines through in the decor in each room and the pride in their AM breakfast delivery. Everything was exceptionally clean and well-stocked. The little bar downstairs added a lovely touch at the end of they day. We would definitely stay here again over any other place in Pitlochry.

We had a gorgeous stay at the Carra Beag guest house perfect location just off the high street with views of Pitlochry, the rooms were perfect, you are treated as if at home and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are excellent and Mark goes out of his way to provide lots of information about the area. We will be back.

Mich haben die bunten Blumen und die Vogelfutterstelle vor dem Haus schon glücklich gemacht. Das Guesthouse liegt in einer höher gelegenen Straße. Man hat von dort einen schönen Blick auf die Wälder und Wiesen gegenüber. Ich war etwas zu früh. Das war aber gar kein Problem. Ich wurde sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen von Helen. Und die Hausdame hat mich sofort mit Wandertipps versorgt, da hatte ich mein Zimmer noch gar nicht gesehen. So toll! Mein Zimmer war sehr groß, das Bad ebenfalls. Alles sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet, ohne überladen zu sein. Der Frühstücksraum, wie das ganze Haus ,ist sehr warm und wohnlich. Frühstück kann man am Tag vorher auswählen. Morgens kommt es dann köstlich und frisch zubereitet auf den Tisch. Serviert von Marc, der immer Zeit für ein paar Worte hat, Tipps gibt. Sich kümmert. Kaffee, Saft, Joghurt, Müsli usw. usw. Sehr positiv für die Umwelt: Marmelade, Butter, Milch, Gewürze in Gläsern, nicht in kleinen Portionstütchen. Ein großes Danke dafür! Gegenüber vom Frühstücksraum ist ein Kaminzimmer, in dem man sich aufhalten kann, lesen, spielen, oder den Vögeln zuschauen. Es steht immer selbst gemachter Kuchen und eine Flasche köstlichem Sherry dort auf einem Tisch. Ich habe mich rundum wohl gefühlt! Und am zweiten Tag von der Hausdame ein paar Wanderkarten geliehen bekommen. Meine absolute Empfehlung für das Carra Beag Guesthouse

Authentiek pand met mooie kamer, goede voorzieningen, mooie en gezellige gezamenlijke woonkamer met uitgebreide honestybar, beste ontbijt wat we op onze trip hebben gehad, motoren konden veilig op het terrein worden geparkeerd, ligging midden in het dorp en tenslotte de bijzonder aardige gastheer!

We had a wonderful stay at Mark and Helen‘s Guest House! They are fabulous hosts and made us feel more than welcome right from the start! Breakfast was a treat every morning, freshly made and really tasty! Mark was also very helpful providing recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. If you have the chance to book a room, do it right away! We would love to come back someday.

Der Empfangs- sowie Aufenthalts- und Frühstücksraum sind schön eingerichtet, hat sehr viel Charme. Absolutes Highlight: die Gastgeber. Mark ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und lustiger Guest House Besitzer mit sehr hilfreichen Restaurant-Empfehlungen, für die wir sehr dankbar waren und die wir gerne in Anspruch genommen haben. Wir hatten in der Nacht ein kleines Problem mit der Alarmanlage, was sich leider nicht so schnell lösen ließ. Er hat sich am Morgen danach mehrfach ehrlich entschuldigt und uns eine Teilerstattung der Übernachtungskosten angeboten. Das Frühstück war wirklich hervorragend!! Man kann sich am Vorabend zwei Frühstücks-„Gerichte“ aus einer Karte aussuchen, welche am Morgen dann frisch zubereitet werden. Es hat einfach sehr gut geschmeckt und es hatte alles was es brauchte. Auch wenn die Nacht wegen dem Alarmanlagen-Fauxpas etwas wild war, würden wir das Carra Beag Guest House jedem empfehlen, der in Pitlochry eine Unterkunft sucht.

My whole experience at Carra Beag was amazing. Breakfast choice and presentation was wonderful. My single room had a great view, was super clean and new mattress so comfy. Tout d'abord, l'emplacement de la guest house est parfait pour rayonner sur Pitlochry, car elle se situe à 2 mn à pied du centre. De fait, la maison est au calme, dans un quartier résidentiel. Notre chambre était très confortable et douillette, avec vue sur les montagnes et le jardin. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux, plus que complet et le choix très large. Sans parler de l'accueil et de la gentillesse du maître de maison qui était aux petits soins durant tout notre séjour. Nous avons passé un séjour des plus agréables. Dommage que nous ne soyons restés qu'une seule nuit

What a fantastic weekend stay at Carra Beag, wonderful hosts who really care about your guest experience. Welcoming lounge for guests to use -complete with complimentary cake and sherry was a lovely touch. We stayed the weekend to take part in the Caledonia Etape cycle and were surprised and delighted to find out that a cooked breakfast would be available at 5am for all of us taking part- another lovely touch that was over and above expectations. Nice choice for cooked breakfast elements all beautiful prepared. Rooms well provisioned, robes and slippers and really nice toiletries including local Highland Soap Company. Such a great place to stay we’re booked already for next year!
