Fabulous room with a four poster bed, great location and was very clean

Location was great just out the main hustle and bustle. The annex room was comfortable clean and roomy.

Breakfast area was absolute nightmare. Carnage people trying move around a cramp floor space for breakfast. Coffee machine not working properly having to queue for ages. Food was overdone apart from the eggs. This part was difficult due to the volume of people at the one time.

Bon accueil, bon emplacement, la chambre était spacieuse propre et confortable. Le petit déjeuner était très bon.

העיירה מאוד יפה לטיולים רגליים הרחוב המרכזי בטווח הליכה מהמלון, ארוחת הבוקר היתה בופה, והתחילה ב 7:30 שהיה ממש מוצלח ליציאה מוקדמת. חדר גדול.

החדר שקבלנו נראה מחודש והסלון נראה ריק: ספה קטנה יחסית לחדר, מקרר קטן ממש, ללא אביזרי נוי , אפשר היה לעצב טוב יותר.

Nice room. 5 min to town centre. Quiet area

Minor issue with booking as reception at the adjacent hotel.

I was ill whilst staying at the Claymore. I have a Republic of Ireland mobile no and was not able to call 111. Whilst a staff member did lend me his mobile phone I had difficulty getting through to 111. In the afternoon we asked for the no of the local doctor but reception at the Claymore were not able to send the call through to our room which is a serious problem in my opinion. Eventually I got the phone no and rang local doctor. I think it would be helpful if the number of the local doctor was readily available to guests in the bedrooms in the Claymore. I did need to see the local doctor that day but it was very late in the evening and I would have preferred to see the doctor earlier. When I was ill I found it very difficult to get this information. Please make the phone no of the local doctor readily available to guests.

The facility was very nice. Our room was very roomy.

miałem tego nie pisać bo dostaliśmy nowy pokój ale... po naszym wejściu do pokoju poczulismy okropny smród. Okazało się że płytki w łazience ruszaja sie a z fug pomiedzy płytkami wyciekają cuchnace ścieki z kanalizacji. Wszystko roztarte mopem po podłodze. Cos strasznego. Widać że to stara usterka. Obsługa zdziwiona ale dali nam nowy czysty poków. Rano zobaczyłem że ten pokój jednak wynajeli jakiemus mężczyźnie. Dlatego o tym piszę. To niefajne i nieuczciwe, w tym pokoju nie dało sie siedzieć tak smierdziało a oni go wynajeli.

חדר גדול מאד ומאד נעים. מקלחת מעולה. מיקום שקט אבל מרחק של פחות מחמש דקות ברגל למרכז העיירה מאד נהננו כל המקום נראה מיוחד באווירה מכובדת. אוכל טוב במסעדה של ארוחת הבוקר אף שהיא יכולה להיות סואנת בשעות מסויימות.

Ci è piaciuto tutto! Camera ampia, luminosa, bagno con finestra. Pulizia accurata in tutti gli spazi; la biancheria era morbida e pulita. Tutto l'occorrente in camera per preparare un caffè istantaneo o un tè. Colazione a buffet nella sala della struttura accanto, molto abbondante che abbiamo gradito. La posizione è ottima sia per chi viene in auto, sia per chi è venuto in treno come noi.

I have celiac disease and I panic when there is a buffet breakfast. The gluten free cereal was labelled in a Jar. I think it’s safer to have individual boxes for peace of mind. there was no cooked breakfast option for me apart from toast. The hash browns were in the same pans as the toms beans and mushrooms. The eggs were separate but I worry that serving spoons get mixed up. I was given toast which was cold by the time I got it. I have stayed in other places where a cooked breakfast was offered and cooked separately.

Mooie en enorm ruime kamers. Vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt werd in het gebouw ernaast geserveerd (10 meter lopen dus perfect). Van alle gemakken voorzien. Parkeren voor de deur met veel plekken.

Het ontbijt was wat chaotisch omdat alles in één hoek is gezet. Als het wat drukker is, is het lastiger om daar even rustig te kijken.

Our room was comfortable, well-equipped and clean. We enjoyed having the room with its own door which is attached to the main building. The location is perfect as it is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Pitlochry which meant it was an excellent base. Breakfast was tasty and served in the dining room of the sister hotel next door. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There are tables and chairs outside the guest house which is ideal for sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea.

Very good location, just on the edge of town. Friendly staff, room was clean and well-outfitted. Breakfast was excellent, a wide variety of choices, and a lovely outdoor dining area, which, thankfully, we were able to avail ourselves of (no rain!!!).

The room, while cleqn and modern, was a bit charmless, and the sound of plumbing from adjacent rooms was quite loud.

Perfect central location for walks, day trips, shopping. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast had a few good choices , cooked or otherwise. Plenty of charging points if you have an electric car.

We had great and very spacious rooms. The service was very kind and client-centered. Messages were answered almost instantly. The location's great and the surroundings very beautiful.

I found the room to have breakfast a bit small for all the people wanting to eat. Tables are quite close to each other and as staff were clearing the tables very fast, the whole breakfast experience felt a bit rushed and noisy.

Obwohl wir zu 8 (4 kleine Kinder) nur 3 Zimmer gebraucht haben, mussten wir trotzdem 4 Zimmer beziehen. Wovon eines ausserhalb des Haupthauses in einer quasi Garage gewesen wäre, was zu diesem Preis komplett übertrieben ist!

The location was excellent, only a five minute walk into the town.Room we had was excellent, lovely size bathroom with bath and shower. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Good selection, to keep most people happy.

Well appointed rooms, including a fan for warm nights. The location to town was excellent. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious.

The only thing that could have been better is to have had key cards for the door so that multiple people in our party can get access to the room.

Schone rustige kamer. Fijn bed, genoeg kussens. Alles wat ik nodig had. Lekker ontbijt. Wel druk aan het ontbijt maar het wordt goed verzorgd en geregeld.

Reception In different hotel-wasn't signed or clear where to go. Bedroom decor was a bit random, beautiful old wooden furniture in keeping with the hotel front but then finished with tacky pink chandelier and random lamps, pink was a strange accent colour to choose 🤷‍♀️ Breakfast- again, in a different hotel, there were too many seats,too close together so place was cramped and felt manic. Although plenty of food available, quality was not great and the food piled high into the bain maries ment it was soggy. Slightly disappointed overall

The star rating was 4 star and hotel came across as 3 star. Decor looked rather dated and a bit on the dreary side. The breakfast was plentiful but could have been better quality.

Wir hatten ein Superior Zweibettzimmer. Das Zimmer war mit ca. 25m² sehr groß und geräumig und besser als erwartet. Das Zimmer hatte Gartenblick und insgesamt war es in der Unterkunft sehr ruhig. Das Bad war in einem guten Zustand und recht groß. Die Unterkunft hat im Prinzip einer sehr gute Lage, Parkmöglichkeiten waren immer vorhanden.

Der Frühstücksraum, der optisch nicht sonderlich ansprechend war, befand sich nicht im Claymore Guest House, sondern im angrenzenden Westland Hotel. Das ging aus der Beschreibung in bookingcom nicht hervor. Dadurch waren im Frühstücksraum gleichzeitig wesentlich mehr Leute als von uns erwartet ( ca. 30 bis 40 Personen je nach Uhrzeit). Das führte im Frühstücksraum ( Buffet ) zu einer unangenehmen Hektik und Lautstärke. Außerdem lief jeden Morgen ziemlich nervige und laute Rockmusik. Das Frühstück selber war in Ordnung bis auf die in Plastik eingepackte Butter und Marmelade. Etwas nervig war aber auch das Handling mit den Toastern, die mehrmals wegen Überlastung ausfielen.

Room was really comfortable and spacious. Nice touch with armchairs. Bathroom really big and modern. Great location on edge of town. 10-15 minutes walk at most to anywhere in town.

No sign on the front door of Claymore House to go across to Westlands House for check-in. Annoying having to go next door for breakfast, too.

Layout of breakfast room led to unnecessary congestion as a lot of the options were laid out in a corner of the room restricting access to one person at a time. There wasn't a good selection of fruit which was surprising as it was June. The room was quite small so you had to be careful where to put things if you wanted to move around the room. There were plenty of drawers to store stuff in so well worth unpacking. The chair under the desk was a bit too high so didn't really fit and couldn't be used at desk or for storing clothes.

We have stayed here on many occasions over the years, Wasn't like this before, now joined with another hote next doorl. Not authentic anymore, now very americanised.

Set up of the new hotels, breakfast wasn't quaint like the last couple of times we have visited Extremely noisy!!

De deken over het tweepersoonsbed was niet toereikend.

Sehr schönes neues u. grosses Bad mit Dusche u. Wanne. Zimmerpreise u. Ausstattung modern u. Zweckmäßig. Bad, Zimmer u. Betten waren jeden Tag vorbildlich gemacht. Unser Zimmer im Nebenbau lag nach hinten u. War sehr ruhig.

Das Frühstück war als Buffet im grossen Frühstücksraum einzunehmen, der sehr voll und ungemütlich laut war. Das ginge bei dieser Kategorie sicher besser. Das Personal war sehr nett u. hilfsbereit.

Staff really helpful. Our large room had a sofa and small fridge so we didn't feel hemmed in if the weather was bad. Centre location and still far enough off the main road with a lovely view of the garden and hillside beyond.

We stayed there before and loved it so booked again. We didn't know it's now it's been taken over by next door so you have to go next door for breakfast which is all self serve and very busy. We liked the intimacy and being served breakfast as before.
