These rooms are beautiful, compact, and comfortable. They are situated just separate from the Amazing country pub, which has a variety antiques and niknaks all over the place. The staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating as we were late in checking in and they held the kitchen open for us to order which was very much appreciated. The food was excellent and the drink too! Then came the morning, where we had a full English breakfast cooked for us made with high quality ingredients and an amazing friendly chef! This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Swan Inn, and it certainly won’t be the last.
Nothing- the place is lovely!
Very nice well appointed room. Food was good, breakfast huge and tasty, staff were friendly and helpful.
Quaint old inn. Lovely food. Lovely staff.
Music left on in empty beer garden.
Excellent and caring staff. Fascinating pub decor.
The plug position did not allow the hairdresser to be used near a mirror following hair washing in unit 1.

Excellent accommodation and the pub is beautiful

In a nice village
The breakfast was an extra to the cost of my room in this instance. £13.50 and served between 08.00 hrs and 09.00 hrs. in the main pub building. It was a real gut buster!!! Fruit Juice, Tea or coffee, cereal options followed buy a full vegetarian cooked breakfast. 2 eggs, 3 sausage, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, potato and mixed toast (3 slices) Jam and marmalade etc. couldn't eat it all on the 1st day, and deleted the Toms and potato on the 2nd. Set up for the rest of the day. Had dinner the 1st evening (Wednesday) which was very palatable, Got back to the Swan the 2nd evening, (Thursday) and after freshening up went for dinner again but was informed the kitchen closes at 20.00 hrs!? Its was only 20.05hrs at this point. Thankfully I can only assume what was the landlady came over and said as I was guest she would have a word with the kitchen. Very nice fish and Chips thank you. My 3rd night (Friday) I was running late after finishing my work, so rang ahead just before 20.00hrs, explained I was a guest and was the kitchen open, but the answer was no. So had to make alternative arrangements, and when I got back I went straight to bed so didn't book breakfast the following morning. Accommodation was very nice, very clean, bed a little soft for my liking, and a little stuffy. Tea making facilities with complimentary biscuits and ear plugs.
No information at check in regarding the kitchen times. Dogs only allowed in the bar which is the corner of a larger room with 2 tables, bench seat and 6 bar stools. With the locals in for a drink we were almost sitting on each others laps! Thankfully there is a 2nd room to eat in which accommodates dogs, which I can only assume is usable for dog owners to sit and drink as well. The Wimbrie tower I believe it's called, is next to the pub, and very interesting piece of history it is too. Various churches have been built on the site, and have all suffered with subsidence, only the tower remains from the final attempt. And with it, the bells. Which must be cracked or warped but defiantly out of tune, and let's the whole village know it every 30 mins day and night as it strikes to tell you the hour. and at 03.00 03.30 04.00 etc you now realise with the room windows open, that is why the complimentary ear plugs are there!
A friendly pub with great staff and very nice bar food. The rooms were nicely appointed.
Quirky good food lovely staff

We thought the swan was a gorgeous place to stay in a lovely location.

Room was lovely. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. We all enjoyed the breakfast. Pretty village.
Room was cosy and exceptionally clean, everything we needed was there. The pub itself was charming and full of character, the staff were all friendly and helpful.
The shower cubicle is quite small (in terms of footprint) so it's a bit tight unless you're tiny!
Fabulous breakfast and staff
Nothing
Beautiful village setting in a lovely country pub. Comfortably furnished room with good facilities. Friendly staff and pub serves good food. Excellent breakfast.
The Bell Tower nearby rings every 15 minutes but once you get used to it, it’s not so intrusive. Ear plugs are provided by the facility.
The property was in a convenient location and the room was clean and tastefully decorated.
The room was booked for 2 adults and 2 children (10&13) yet only has a double bed and a single bed which made for an uncomfortable night. I’m not sure why the booking was allowed if the room can only accommodate 3 people. Whilst outside of the owners control, the proximity to the local church whose clock chimes every 15minutes including through the night also proved to make for an uncomfortable night.
Good value for money and very comfortable
Nothing
Superb traditional English pub. Staff were really friendly. Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Room very nice. No problem checking in and we were early. Lovely pub. Parking out side door of room

Lovely location very idyllic village. Breakfast was value for money and spot on.
Couldn't fault it!
Everything was spot on
Dogs allowed in roons
An incredible (almost medieval) inn with a beautiful pub, friendly people and warm atmosphere. Room was comfortable and clean. Food was great.
Lovely room separate from the main pub. Great bathroom and good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Nothing. We liked it all!
Great service, very nice room, excellent dinner and breakfast.
There was a broken window latch in our room. Would otherwise have scored a full 10.
Unexpected disco event in car park with speaker just outside my bedroom door until 2220! (I had been travelling through the previous night)
Good halfway-stop to our destination. Friendly staff, good meal and breakfast.
familyroom-1double bed 1single, a bit tight but only 1 night stay so ok. In converted barn/outhouse
Food excellent : dinner and breakfast
Great! Served with a smile and the quality good
No WiFi
Excellent location and the staff were very friendly.
The room was very good and it was clean. The shower was a little small, but was fine for us. The staff we saw were very friendly.
Church bells chiming all through the night is a negative for me.
The location was ideal. Bedroom was very comfortable particularly the bed. Parking was always easy during my stay. Excellent shower.
Breakfast start time was too late for me for 3 of the 4 days of my stay.
This was our 6th visit to the Swan Inn, we've been coming here for quite a few years now and always have an enjoyable stay and this visit was no exception. Lovely old pub full of quirky character set in peaceful surroundings with a great beer garden and it's lovely to hear the bells chiming from the tower. Pauline is very friendly and welcoming, staff are lovely and It's always nice to have a catch up withy Ron at breakfast time. The accommodation is clean, fresh and comfortable and facilities great. There are lots of pleasant walks from the pub and the surrounding area,

Lovely comfortable cute room, next to the pub/restaurant. Nice location. Clean, quiet with friendly staff

Lovely atmosphere, great place to stay.
Staff are very good and the food as well.
Only problem was church bells during the night but the location made up for this.
Nice room and comfy bed decent bathroom and shower Parking next to room Decent pint of unicorn Banging breakfast Pleasant staff.
Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday night so the kitchen and bar closed early, we will stay again on another night so we can eat and drink more unicorn..
The pub was lovely for a drink and food.
Bed a standard double which was quite uncomfortable and tv dry small.
This pub is fantastic, so welcoming and cosy. Has a beautiful beer garden and the rooms are fab.
The beds weren't very comfortable unfortunately.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Swan. The village was busy preparing for a Pie Rolling contest the next day. The Manager had a very warm welcome for us and was very pleasant. The room was a lovely combination of old and new. We had an excellent meal in a very traditional bar. The room was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend the Swan for a stay. We were just sorry that we could only stay one night.
Nothing to dislike.
Cosy room. Great shower. Great breakfast.
The breakfast was very good and more than I needed.
Nothing really
Schönes Pub mit Zimmern, Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Sehr gutes Essen, sehr zuvorkommendes Team.
Breakfast was good served by a jolly chef, nothing to much trouble, would certainly stay again. Evening meal was also very good.full credit to all the staff.
I can’t think of any faults.
Everything...the accommodation is so cosy and comfy and spacious and in a beautiful location adjacent to a beautiful pub.
I have stayed at the swan inn many times before, the staff are friendly, helpful and polite, I would recommend anyone to stay there ,and I will be returning in the future, keep up the good work, it's a beautiful place to stay ,THANK YOU
Food was excellent as were the staff. Really liked the atmosphere in the bar and the decor.
Lovely friendly pub with rooms
Staff were so welcoming and friendly. The property itself was lovely and well kept, in a lovely area. Breakfast was also very good!
Very good breakfast location ideal for garden centre etc did not have any problem with the church bells which some people have mentioned
A beautiful, quaint location. The pub is an absolute gem and we were so lucky that a music event was on whilst we were staying, a lovely added bonus. We loved having a dance and trying the beautiful local ciders. Really worth a visit during the summer time, as they have lots of popular events on. The room was perfect for us, with a view of the rolling fields. Breakfast was 10/10 also, with a selection of cereals, toast, jams and then a cooked breakfast with orange juice/coffee. We hope to come back soon!

My partner had been before and absolutely loved it and was so enthusiastic she persuaded me to come. Extremely glad she did. Fabulous country pub and lovely clean comfortable rooms surrounding area is fantastic too.
Absolutely nothing to not like
We liked everything about this property, the nearby bell tower went every 15 minutes but did not disturb our sleep. The vibe in the bar with locals was great, the beers were good and the food was hearty and like home cooking. We had stayed one night previously as a stopover from Glasgow but this time stayed 3 nights. Easy to get into Liverpool by train from Crewe or Chester by Park & Ride from Boughton Heath. The staff are all very friendly but professional. Excellent value for money too.
Really good staff clean been before would recommend
This time no coffee or tea in the room must have been an oversite but like a coffee in the morning
Everything 😁 the staff were welcoming lovely atmosphere
Perfectly situated in the heart of rural Cheshire; room was comfortable, quiet and perfectly clean; 11/10 for the en suite. Also, ample on site parking. The Swan Inn is a lovely pub serving numerous real ales and top notch grub.
Nothing
Great pub - friendly, quirky, excellent evening meal and breakfast was fantastic.
The room was very well appointed, comfortable and had a great elevated view over the adjoining countryside. The pub was lively and served great food and beverages. Breakfast was sensational.
Nothing
Very friendly staff and prompt service.
Lovely comfortable room, in a great location, with lovely views, food was good to
Some people complain about the bells in the clock tower in the old church tower nextdoor, to be honest they didn't bother me, they do provide ear plugs if you require them, but I have not needed to use them & this was are second visit to the Swan
Charming, well equipped rooms adjacent to village pub with very attractive outside area next to Wybunbury tower. Plenty of parking outside the rooms.
Nothing
Brilliant location
A little on the expensive side
Lovely motel style rooms all really well equipped. Pub is also great & the staff were really attentive.
Nothing.
As expected
The location was beautiful. The welcome from the manager was personal and excellent, and the breakfast on the only day we had time for one was out of this world excellent. I can't recommend this highly enough, although my friends and I may have been a little high spirited, no one seemed to mind the raucous laughter of 4 friend who haven't met up in 3 years.
Having to leave. Not having long enough to explore the area. Not having breakfast every morning - these are all positive negatives!!
Lovely attentive staff , superb breakfast lovely quiet area

very good breakfast
room bit to small
very friendly staff and great food
if you are a light sleeper, this lovely accommodation is right next door to an old church. The clock bells sound every 15 mins, which might be a problem for some.
There was a good choice of evening meals and these were taken in the charming surroundings of a 17th century coaching Inn
Breakfasts were paid for in advance and for those who enjoy a cooked meal this would have been good value. We would have preferred an Option for a continental breakfast
So friendly staff. Perfect location and rooms are very clean and comfortable and cater for all your needs. We have gone back again and again for 5 years now. Excellent!

Great location friendly staff
Great little double room. Food and drink on the doorstep! Quaint decor etc
Staff friendly. Clean room. My partner highly rated the breakfast, best bacon he'd ever eaten!! Great outside area.
We ate in there ar night, my partner didnt rate the steak, too much gristle, but overall was good
Stayed here with a group of friends for a wedding weekend. We were so well looked after. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would happily recommend this place!
Nothing!
Great value, good breakfast, good room
We were a group of family and friends meeting for a family event. The staff were really helpful arranging a meal (wonderful food!), several rooms and an amazing breakfast the following morning. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend.
The view
Mattress was very uncomfortable and needs replacing. Dirty cups left in the bathroom from previous guests and the bath had dirty brown marks- not been cleaned properly. Only one hand towel provided
The staff were friendly and thorough as well as knowledgeable. They were very somewhat slow to clear our table, at one point we had 3 rounds of drinks worth of glasses on the table for 5 people. We waited quite some while for someone to come and take our food order. But that was all, everything else was spot on.
The constant bell chimes were distracting for sleep, very disturbed night, the earplugs were a lovely idea but didn't work for me.
Great quiet location- really quirky bar and restaurant lovely staff
Good food and a lovely bar. All the staff were particularly good.
The person in the room next door left their TV on until 4AM and the walls are not particularly thick
Very friendly, good value
Having to leave !!
Friendly staff. Clean, tidy, good food. I have stayed here many times and always excellent
Quaint and friendly pub with cosy rooms. We had a fabulous meal which was definitely the highlight of our stay. The bed was comfy and there was a well stocked hot drink station in the room along with a hair drier and some toiletries were provided. I would recommend The Swan to anyone looking for a countryside getaway.
Drainage issues in the shower (room 5)
Location, facilities, staff, food were fantastic .. would highly recommend to anyone
the only thing was the church bells going all night so not a great nights sleep
Location very good to where we needed to be. Room clean
Room was very hot, even after we turned off the radiator and had to have the fan on all night. Shower was nice, however the larger shower head in the shower was too big for the actual shower ( no room to escape while washing). The kettle did not work in the room but we only discovered this the next morning (to late to do anything about it). Unfortunately breakfast did not commence until 8.30am at the weekend meaning it was too late for us to have before we left. No where to leave the key the next day and not informed on arrival either.
Excellent comfortable character rooms in separate annex with outside car park, so you don’t need to keep going through the pub to access the accommodation. Pretty well equipped including complementary earplugs in the view of the proximity to the nearby church bells!
Nothing
Lovely clean rooms with toiletries included and ear plugs for the clock tower which chimes every half hour. Great food and breakfast
