Everything was good but a bit too overpriced, taxi also costs way more than it should.

Beautiful and elegant hotel in a wonderful location. The property has a luxurious and charming atmosphere, the rooms and common areas are beautifully designed, and everything feels very well maintained. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which was fresh, varied and delicious. Excellent service and a truly special place to stay.

Un établissement au calme dans son écrin de verdure, proche du château d’Amboise et du Clos Lucé. Le personnel est très accueillant et prévenant.

Struttura bellissima in una villa antica meravigliosa. Abbiamo prenotato all’ultimo in un viaggio on the road e la stanza che ci è stata proposta era meravigliosa. A piano terra con un letto enorme e di una comodità incredibile. Pulizia impeccabile, doccia notevole, e persino accappatoi e ciabattine. La posizione è perfetta per visitare Amboise , molto vicina al centro. Non abbiamo avuto modo di provare la colazione, ma il giardino in cui viene servita è delizioso. Staff giovane e molto gentile !

Instalaciones muy bonitas en una casa histórica con mucho encanto. Piscina estupenda para refrescarte en época calurosa. Muy bien situado. Personal excelente.

Hotel has good size grounds, and the place is full of character. The staff were helpful and friendly Well located , so that you can walk all around Amboise, leaving the car at the hotel

Guests need to book the hotel restaurant well in advance, as there is no priority for guests. However Amboise has many adequate restaurants, and the hotel will book them if requested

On s'y croirait! Etablissement avec beaucoup de charme et de style. Chambre spacieuse et literie confortable. Jardin très agréable pour prendre l'air dans la soirée. Excellent petit déjeuner

En fait la remarque est pour moi : j'ai lu trop vite le descriptif, ou n'est-ce pas assez mis en évidence? Il y a un excellent restaurant dans l'hôtel mais indispensable de réserver. Je l'ai vu trop tard...

Personale valido ma insufficiente. Camera molto bella ma al primo piano senza ascensore con scala ripida: una sola persona (gentilissima) e minuta alla reception ad aiutarci per le valige e noi siamo una coppia over 60: non penso sia un servizio 4 stelle. Nella camera manca macchinetta del caffè. Accesso alla tv molto indaginoso e solo alle app del proprio telefono. Abbiamo prenotato cena al ristorante al nostro arrivo ma la prenotazione non è stata recepita e l'unica soluzione è stata cenare altrove. Colazione buona ma una sola persona addetta al servizio e alla preparazione delle bevande

Das Personal war überwiegend kühl und hochnäsig. Das Zimmer für 500 Euro pro Nacht stank nach Kanalisation und war renovierungsbedürftig.

A perfect oasis in the heart of Amboise. Great service and cute decently sized rooms with good amenities.

Gorgeous chateau like property with a beautiful garden and pool area. Very peaceful and full of French charm. Staff were wonderful. I felt well rested and rejuvenated after my stay in this beautiful hotel. Great for exploring the Loire Valley and for walking into Amboise.

Rooms seem a little tired but decor really just added to the charm. Parking is a little tight.

Excellent accueil lors de notre arrivée. Suite royale charmante et spacieuse. Espace piscine très agréable et beaux jardins. Dîner excellent au restaurant. Petite salle avec des petits jeux en bois à disposition, très sympa pour les enfants et les plus grands.

Bathroom, although clean probably needs an upgrade. A walk in shower would be desirable.

The hotel and garden is beautiful however we stayed at a separate house, renovated stables, next to the main building, without notice thereof with low ceilings and tight surroundings. Also a crib had been set up instead of an extra bed which took more than an hour to change at 23:00.

There was a spider in our room and dust on beams and lamps. The kettle in the room did not work. The hotel staff gave wrongful information on where to find late dinner which resulted in an unnecessary long walk in the dark which ended being saved by lively staff at the hotel bar.

Incredible view of the chateau from our window. The breakfast was delicious. L’annex was superb. We loved the way the space was decorated and the kitchen had everything we could ever need.

The aircon in our room was in our opinion not working as it should but the staff dismissed our comments saying that because of the heatwave it was as cold as it would get . However we had stayed in 3 different hotels that week before this one and the temps were higher and all their aircon units worked fine ! Also when we arrived at approx 1.30 pm , half an hour before the check in ie between 2 - 3pm the person on reception said that he would phone me to tell us when our room was ready , so we went off for a late lunch but he never phoned . Once we got back just after 3pm a different person on reception told us the room had been ready for sometime .

Location, cost, ambience, facilities, staff, food service...this hotel has it all! Especially if you are looking for a hotel for a group that requires multiple rooms. Less than a 5 minute walk from the river and old town area with easy access to all of Amboise's major sites. Will stay here again and again.

Loved our stay at Le Clos. Friendly welcome and staff very pleasant. The ambiance throughout is great. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast had good options and was fairly priced. Good bike storage with plugs for charging.

This hotel has a beautiful property, extremely old structure but a very nice staff. Unfortunately our room had a terrible odor of spilled milk, which they blamed on the AC, but they were unable to resolve. I hesitate to bash the whole place since it is a unique place

Le Clos d’Amboise has it all - friendly staff, great food, beautiful courtyard and amazing proximity to restaurants and wine caves! We had such a wonderful time visiting and can’t wait to return.

Lovely ambiance, to have on site parking was a massive bonus in a very compact town and the restaurant was fabulous

Cadre exceptionnel. On a l impression d être chez soi. L appartement est très bien équipé pour un séjour en famille. La décoration est magnifique et soignée pour rester dans l’ambiance de l hôtel même si on est un peu à l’écart. L’accès au centre ville est très facile à pied.

Attention à l escalier. Même si cela ne nous a pas posé de soucis.

I strongly recommend this hotel. We found the staff welcoming and helpful (they even made restaurant reservations for us when their restaurant couldn't accommodate us), and an excellent value. Our room was well equipped (including storage area + sitting area), cozy and had a very comfortable bed. Moreover, it was quiet even though it was next to the reception. The location was excellent to enjoy sightseeing in Amboise.

Great location. Parking was very easy which was a big bonus [ often difficult in French medieval towns].

I wish staff had told us about access to the bar. Its at the other end of a long building away from reception. It would have been nice to have had a glass of wine in the lovely garden. We only found it at the end of our visit.

Elegant 17th Century mansion remodeled as an elegant 21st century boutique hotel just oozing character and history. It is in a perfect location for exploring the Loire valley with its vineyards and chateaus. It is close to the old town center with lots of shops and restaurants and a short walk to the Da Vinci house. Our room in the separate former stable was large, comfortable and well-appointed with all amenities including an amazing walk in shower and Mrs.Traveler’s favorite Fragonard soap. The main building has a series of well-appointed rooms for a leisurely drink or lounging. The restaurant is first rate. The property has a surprisingly large and beautiful courtyard garden with a swimming pool and parking lot. Bicycles are available. The English-speaking staff is friendly and helpful. When approaching on Rue rue Rabelais street just keep a sharp eye out for the very narrow drive to the hotel and parking lot.

The room was spacious and the decor was really lovely. The garden was lovely. The room very quiet. The walk to the castle and shops was minutes.

Thank you to the entire staff of Clos d’Amboise! Everyone was very accommodating and kind. Amboise is a very special place and it was very special to get to stay in the beautiful Clos d’Amboise. We enjoyed the continental breakfast included in our stay with fresh croissants and French butter and a variety of French Jams along with fresh fruit. A special thanks to Gregoire who was so helpful with everything his kindness patience and translation was above and beyond! Marci beaucoup!

Beautiful manor house in the center of Amboise, with lovely gardens. We were given a very warm welcome by Gregoire who had plenty of time for us.

Gorgeous hotel with friendly and helpful staff and great location! We were near everything and had a wonderful stay. Would highly reccomend.

Best place we stayed during out entire week in France. Ideal location for exploring Amboise and the surrounding castles. Offers a perfect option to walk, shop and eat in the village of Amboise. Not to be missed is the Chef surprise dinner at the restuarant. Incredible food and service, we felt like part of the hotel family.

What a lovely property in the heart of Amboise! The staff made us feel so welcome and at home. The hotel has such charm and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed in the apartment which worked beautifully for our family. It has old-world charm, but modern conveniences, comfortable beds, etc. I would absolutely recommend anyone travelling to the Loire Valley stay here!

Beautiful old chateau building. Wonderfully presented. Really friendly staff who were very welcoming and helpful. We stayed with our dog and they were very accommodating. Great breakfast.

Couldn’t fault it- Perfect

The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of town. It has it's own parking and a wonderful garden area where you can have a glass of wine or cool of after the sauna. The restaurant is highly recommended and their sommelier really knows his business. Over all the staff made our stay unforgettable!

The location in a peaceful, cloistered setting very close to the town centre was excellent. Traditional French charm, character and flair in the architecture, styling and very friendly and professional staff. The restaurant was outstanding with refined cooking, flavours and presentation and the team made me feel relaxed and very welcome. The room was spacious, very comfortable and had a lovely view over the gardens. The parking within the hotel grounds was a real bonus in the centre of Amboise. French hospitality at its finest.

Spacious room with good mattress in very central location. Very peaceful and quiet at night.

I would have preferred to stay in the main building, and have more privacy.

Location is excellent. Staff were pleasant. Fridge in room which was good. Plenty of space and toiletries. Receptionist when we arrived was very helpful.

Parking was a small area and a tight squeeze. The TV and air conditioning came on mysteriously at 2 am both nights, even though controls were nowhere near us.

Nous avons été logés au rez de chaussée juste au niveau de l accueil... Pas génial ! Relativement bruyant Avons été réveillés à 1 heure du matin par des arrivants pas très délicats qui ont été placés juste au dessus de notre chambre . Le veilleur de nuit a dû intervenir 😫 Globalement déçus....

It was difficult to bring baggages/luggages up the 2nd floor especially that our accommodation was in the old stables. But luckily we found the staff who could help
