Hôtel Spa - Au Charme Rabelaisien

Ci siamo sentiti davvero coccolati. Davvero consigliato.

Very charming with modern facilities.

Breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Scrambled eggs were there but bacon all gone. Could have asked for more I expect but time was tight.

Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, location was walking distance to many restaurants, shops and castle. The staff was always available and housekeeping was efficient The pool area was clean with plenty of towels and the water was warm Also the staff all spoke English which helped us greatly!

The scrambled eggs and bacon need to be kept warmer and the room needed some small washcloth sized towels and bar soap

Bigger isn’t always better!! This charming hotel exceeded my expectations. The cottage at the back near the pool was very comfortable and quiet, we loved its French charm!!

What’s not to like? It is a wonderful property!!

Lovely central setting. A little difficult to find the carpark. We should have asked for directions beforehand when we booked the parking space. Greta pool amd a lovely breakfast area in the garden. Also a 5 minute stroll to the centre of town.

The room was a little small and quite expensive, but I guess that's what you pay for, for a nice hotel in the centre of town. Other than that and finding the carpark, everything was great.

Good location, quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable room

Lovely location and pool, excellent breakfast. Room & bathroom were spacious. Bed super comfy

Locatie, vriendelijkheid, fantastisch ontbijt, uitstekend bed.

The location is very central and has a beautiful view of the castle. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.

Too much old furniture in the room.

Very pleasant and beautiful and comfortable. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Specially Angel.

Excellent location, with pool and small boutique hotel. Very friendly staff.

All was well.... recommend to go there

Great Location. Charming and elegance of Apartment as advertised - did not disappoint. Spacious kitchenette, bathroom with separate toilet. Swimming pool to cool off in 39 degree heat. Air conditioning and a lift for suitcases an additional bonus. Street parking if you can find one otherwise hotel provides private paid parking.

Nothing

Merci

The hotel was charming and on a very hot day was a lovely cool retreat. Aircon in the room was great and we had the downstairs room that lead out to the garden and pool.

Nothing

A charming historical boutique hotel in the Centre of the old town of Amboise. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too hard for them. The outdoor pool was a welcome relief during the current heatwave. Our room was spacious and had a spectacular view of the chateaux. Would highly recommend staying here.

Nothing we could fault.

The owners and team were charming, helpful and incredibly nice. They did everything they could to make our stay special and welcoming.

Large attractive comfortable accommodations in a central location.

The hotel is very quaint, excellent location, room was very spacious with a lovely bathroom, the parking was excellent very much needed as the town can get busy at times. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was a little chaotic and not good value, we ate breakfast in the town after the first breakfast. Close to the road so can be a little noisy first thing, but cannot be helped if you want good access to the town, so not a major issue

Excellent location, very nice pool and outside garden area for sitting with a drink, very handy parking which is tricky in old towns like Amboise and staff were helpful. The bathroom was very good with a walk in shower and seperate toilet and the room on the second floor had direct lift access. The visit to Clos de Luce, Leonardo da Vinci final home was a highlight with models of many of his inventions set in lovely grounds and the Chateau is also interesting

Our only complaint is that our room on the second floor had a ‘dormer’ roof with slopping walls and around a third of the room was unusable and dangerous to the head from potentially hitting the wall/ceiling. Suggest communicating with the hotel for a room other than 6 and preferably on the first floor level

Location

Wonderful, large room with ensuite bathroom; separate bath and shower. Wonderful host and staff! Beautiful property within walking distance to everything in town. Lovely courtyard and pool area. Onsite parking for a fee.

The location was great and the room opened onto a lovely garden and swimming pool

L’accueil était chaleureux et professionnel

Tastefully furnished with a good sized room for France. Very convenient location and attentive friendly staff.

Nothing

Our room and bathroom were HUGE and well-appointed. The staff was exceptionally pleasant, engaging, and helpful. The breakfast was a very good value with a large and varied selection. The grounds and garden were lovely. On-site parking was a big plus, considering the crowded streets in Amboise. The location was close to all the major sites and many restaurants.

The shower doors leaked at the bottom and make the bathroom tile very slippery. The map to the parking garage needs a bit more detail. That’s literally all can think of!

Angel and staff are very nice and helpful

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They offered lots of advice abkht the area.

A localização é excelente.

The only upsetting thing was the paid spa

The fact that you had to pay for the sauna

Bienveillance du gérant

Parfait, Tout était parfait, accueil, literie, petit déjeuner, emplacement.

personnel tres arrangeant et sympathique ! chambre propre et pratique

Excellent location, beautiful, easy to get everywhere, but super quiet.

I had thought the price included breakfast, and the breakfast that could be purchased was super expensive.

We were greeted every morning with the happiest "Good Morning! How was your sleep? Where would you like to sit in the garden for breakfast?" We enjoyed glorious sleep, delicious breakfasts with excellent service and were able to walk or cycle to all locations in and around Amboise. The staff was particularly accommodating when we arrived quite early before check in and made it possible for us to get to our bike rental and tour the chateaux on schedule.

There was very little to not like. We became used to a less powerful fan and air conditioning but it was still quite satisfactory.

Loved the location. Charming hotel

Was all good

Wonderful location, beautiful hotel, spacious room & bath, comfortable bed. We loved everything!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel-Spa - Au Charme Rabelaisien and Richard, his wife and Cristof were fantastic hosts, extremely friendly and so accommodating. There were 6 of us (3 couples) and they went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed and did anything to make us happy! We loved their breakfast and would highly recommend a stay here.

Nothing!

Very quiet and spacious room overlooking garden with view of the castle. Excellent bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Bagno nuovo e molto spazioso

Very welcoming and friendly. Great location, walking to everything in 5 - 10 mins. Easy parking area, lovely grounds & pool, a great place to stay.
