The room was very big

Parking was not explained before arrival and is critical in this area and they were not available when we called to ask Many many many stairs to get to the room.. The water is not drinkable. Which is OK and they supplied a bottle of water. But the water was not pleasant even to show in. Old TV. Not smart. Many cats

I loved almost everything about my stay! My room was spacious and had a lovely little terrace/balcony with a sea view. The whole complex is beautiful, especially the pool area, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The beach is also within walking distance. The staff were SUPER nice — especially the bartender and the woman working in the breakfast area — and the breakfast itself was great. There was traditional live music one evening, which was such a nice touch. I could definitely see myself coming back. And I absolutely loved the kittens! <3

The only thing that really disturbed my stay was the lack of rules around the pool area. I completely understand that children are allowed, but at times it got a bit ridiculous — there were around eight kids jumping in and out of the pool at the same time, shouting across the area to their parents, throwing balls and constantly splashing water. At one point my book was getting splashed, and I had to ask a parent not to throw a ball with their child directly next to where I was trying to relax. It also became difficult to actually use the pool myself because of all the jumping and playing. Of course, a lot of this comes down to parents, but common sense isn't always that common! I think a few basic pool rules would make a huge difference and would also give staff something to refer to when needed — for example, no jumping, or at least keeping jumping and ball games away from people who are swimming or relaxing. This was genuinely the only thing that negatively affected an otherwise wonderful stay.

It was a little difficult at times to secure a sun-bed by the pool, as there are limited numbers compared to the amount of rooms.

O εξωτερικός χώρος ειναι πολυ προσεγμενος,ιδιαιτέρως γύρω απο την πισίνα.Το προσωπικό ειναι ευγενεστατο και πρόθυμο να εξυπηρετήσει.Η τοποθεσία ειναι πολυ βολικη,γιατι μπορείς να πας τριγυρω με τα πόδια.

Τα επιπλα και τα μπάνια των δωματιων θα μπορούσαν να ανανεωθουν λίγο,χωρίς να χάσει το χαρακτηριστικό στοιχείο του "village" το ξενοδοχείο.

Mooi complex met allemaal appartementen, zwembad, terras, veel groen. Vriendelijk personeel. Goede locatie.

De keuken in het appartement was erg vochtig (rook niet fris). En wij hebben de bedbank beneden gebruikt, maar daar hingen geen gordijnen, dus dat was erg licht. Soms was het druk bij het zwembad en waren er niet voldoende bedden.

The location. In the heart of the old city, close to everything. Although its in the middle of everything, when you go inside the village, its quiet and lovely.

De locatie was top. Handig dat naast de glow omhoog het parkeerterrein is, zou ik bij de omschrijving toevoegen want wij moesten behoorlijk zoeken. Het is heel mooi opgezet, als een dorpje. Wanneer je weg gaat en je huisje al uit moet is er gelegenheid om te douchen, dit is beschikbaar. Het zwembad is wel wat aan de kleine kant met de hoeveelheid mensen die er verblijven. Het ontbijt is geweldig.

Het handdoekje leggen van medetoeristen, er staat beschreven dat de handdoeken weg gehaald worden maar dit gebeurd niet in de praktijk.

Der Service, war perfekt. Die Mitarbeiter waren extrem hilfsbereit. Mitarbeiter Vassilis, hat innerhalb von einer Stunde eine neue Herdplatte einbauen lassen und für diese Stunde einen Ersatzherd besorgt. Top Service. Trotz zentraler Lage sehr ruhig.

Frühstücksangebot hätte vielleicht umfangreicher sein, können deswegen haben wir es nur einmal wahrgenommen.

We loved the location it was very central. The pool area was very clean, we liked that there was also day beds aswell as sunbeds. The sunbeds were very comfortable. The staff were also friendly.

We chose to stay in the one bedroom apartment based off of the photos on the website. Upon arrival while we were given a one bedroom apartment it did differ from the photos and was quite dull. When this was mentioned to reception they informed us that the photo was of the newest apartment to be furnished. While the hotel did provide a lot of lamps and spotlights it was a shame that these needed to be used during the day due to lack of natural light and very small windows. The housekeeping could have been better. Bins and towels were changed every 2 days however the bed was only made twice in 10 days. There was only one mirror in the apartment which was in the bathroom, would recommend a full length mirror elsewhere also. The shower door was not flush with the seal so it leaked onto the bathroom floor if not monitored, the drain was also poor, each shower we had to turn it off halfway through in order for the water to drain and not overflow.

The hotel is gorgeous, so classy yet traditional at the same time. They have nailed the feeling of being quaint and private. It’s got a lovely peaceful atmosphere while still being very family friendly - they do gorgeous open air cinema nights once or twice a week, the staff are super friendly and the service is brilliant. This year was our second time at the hotel and it really felt like a home away from home.

Sehr liebevoll gestaltete Appartements, die unterschiedlichen Terrassen, Frühstück war lecker, Personal sehr freundlich, Mietwagen wurde und auch über die Unterkunft gecheckt, Mega unkompliziert! Der Ort ist einfach nur entzückend, viele gute Tavernen, enge Gassen und ein paar Shops sowie kleine Supermärkte. Ebenfalls guter Ausgangspunkt für viele nahegelegene Sehenswürdigkeiten

Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher gestaltet werden, wir waren nur 4 Nächte, darum nicht ganz so schlimm.

Time has stood still in this place. Its supposed to be a upper level resort, but its not any more. Refrigerator door was broken. We had the biggest roof terrace, but it had almost no shade.

We changed our accommodation to Koutouloufari Village after a bad experience at another hotel, and wow! We were blown away. We have been visitors to the villages for many years and had always walked past here and thought it looked cute from the outside but had never stayed here. It looks so small from the front but once inside it truly feels like a little village. We had a lovely welcome, and Manos immediately recognised that as we were in beach clothes that we had moved from elsewhere and put us at ease. The room was perfect, we stayed in room 16 which is the furthest back, but as it was the highest up meant that the views from the balcony were exceptional. We were in a one bed very spacious apartment with a bedroom with its own air conditioning unit, a dining kitchen which was very well equipped, huge living area and large balcony. My wife kept mentioning attention to details on how well equipped the apartment was. For example she counted the coathangers in the bedroom - 30 and there was even a second wardrobe in the living area. And she was thrilled that there were egg cups, she loves boiled eggs and it's the little things that matter. Pool towels are provided free of charge. The bathroom products are really good quality, we usually pack our own shampoo, shower gel and body lotion but theirs were so good that my wife suggested that they sell them in reception, they smelled so good. If you are coming here, just pack some conditioner and save the weight in your baggage as they are that good. The pool area was so chilled and tranquil. No fight for sunbeds, we are early risers anyway but at most points throughout the day the double beds and normal padded beds were free. The pool bar staff were all so friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. Can't comment on the food as we aren't big eaters during the day, but other guests told us that it is excellent. One thing that stood out for us was that they are animal lovers. There are signs asking you not to feed the cats and they take care of it in the 'Cat Cafe' which is located towards the side entrance that comes from the alleyway next to Fabrica. We adore cats, we have a Crete cat. There were two litter of very adorable kittens with lovely Mama cats. They kept themselves to themselves and in no way pestered any guests. We offered to help and got some food from the pet store in Hersonissos and I understand that the hotel will be neutering all the kittens. There is a contribution box in the reception area for anyone wishing to help. There is a beautiful courtyard area just off reception that we often had a beer in before dinner. One evening we watched an England World Cup game with another couple and their adorable baby and had a fab time. The staff kept snacks going and while we were worried it might go to extra time said it would have been ok to bring in pizza. It didn't, England won and we went for pizza across the road. We are already working out if we can manage another stay in late August or early September. This place now has our hearts. If you are reading this from UK and due a visit, we shared our UK chocolate stash that we brought with us, Nikki in reception now loves Daim bars, take her one!

De locatie van het verblijf is absoluut een groot pluspunt. De kamer zelf was ook ruim, wat meteen zorgde voor extra comfort tijdens het verblijf. Daarnaast waren de grote ligbedden aan het zwembad een echte meerwaarde — perfect om heerlijk te ontspannen

Bij aankomst was de kamer niet echt proper, wat meteen een minder goede eerste indruk gaf. Tijdens het verblijf werd er bovendien maar één keer (en dan nog vrij oppervlakkig) gekuist. Dit zorgde ervoor dat de hygiëne onder de verwachtingen bleef. Hopelijk kan hier in de toekomst meer aandacht aan besteed worden.

The shower section of the bathroom was a bit small

De housekeepers, die stonden in de ochtend al in je kamer terwijl je nog lag te slapen. Zijn daarna ook geen enkele keer meer teruggekomen. Weinig bedden bij het zwembad, hierdoor kon je niet altijd lekker in de zon liggen.

The drains in the bathroom were stinking the bathroom out. The door onto the balcony was off its hinges. The stairs up to the bedroom and balcony were steep.

Hyvä ruoka, mahtava henkilökunta, allasalue oli huippu ja muutenkin hotellin ympäristö on kaunis ja hyvällä hoidolla. Minä, mies ja lapsi viihdyimme altaalla polskien monta päivää. Hotelli on aivan kylän keskustassa, ja sieltä löytyy monta upea kreikkalaista tavernaa.

Charmants appartements bien organisés comme un tout petit village avec une belle végétation odorante. Personnel très accueillant et chaleureux. L'espace piscine est très agréable. Situé dans un petit village charmant avec de nombreux restaurants. On s'y est senti comme à la maison !

I had a short stay in this hotel and finally extended my stay as much as possible. Stayed in a maisonette room, everything was so nice. Clean room, spacious living room, kitchen area fully equiped. The staff and hotel management were all anazing people. Loved everything about it! Highly recommended ✨💯

The pool is beautiful and nice but the room wasn’t nice and not clean! I was disappointed from the room, its not like the pictures and doesn’t worth the price

I had a lovely stay at KHVC with my 12 year old son this past October. As a Travel Agent, I had booked 2 clients into this hotel and they had nothing but positive comments and I can see why. We were greeted by the lovely Ida and her staff - who were extremely attentive. Manolis was a true charmer and made sure we had a great room - it was so spacious, clean and the views were fantastic. The hotel has a very cool ‘White Lotus’ vibe - the pool area is the best I’ve seen and this was our 7th time to Crete. Everything has been thought out carefully from the spacious sunbeds to the attentive staff who are so thoughtful and caring. A bonus we loved? The outdoor cinema which shows a film every night!

We were very happy with the resort, the staff were excellent. The lady on reception was very helpful when we had a mix up with a taxi transfer, she organised a local driver at very short notice. Couldnt thank her enough.

The villa is a wonderful cultural experience and the staff are very helpful. The villa is in a village with a lot of amenities and excellent restaurants.

Hidden gem! Es ist zauberhaft! Sehr individuelle Apartments mit Blick fürs Detail, tolle Lage für Koutouloufari, viele nette Restaurants ringsum. Dazu liebevolles Frühstück an der Poolbar. Das belebte (und recht touristische) Chersonissos kann man zu Fuß erreichen.

There was nothing we didn't like. However, people with mobility issues should be aware there are lots of stairs to get to the units and amenities.

We loved the overall boutique feel and decor, it was stylish, rustic and very chic. The apartment was clean and will equipped. We loved how well maintained the grounds were, the place was so lush with greenery. The pool area was chilled, and very comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and not over bearing either. It had so much charm and the location was perfect. We had a great time staying there, and would love to come back again one day.

Our standard room had everything you need we felt very comfortable and relaxed. The pool was lovely, the staff were very kind and the attention to detail in hotel didn’t go un missed! Would definitely come back.

Overall a very nice stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are ok. Only the sofa beds have a very very firm mattress. Also the master bedroom’s mattress is hard. And the room could use some wall hooks. Our bathroom was very small. No space for 2 people at once. Therefore only 4/5 stars for the room. The location is in the middle of the village. You step out of the lobby and you are in the one narrow and busy street with lots of shopping options, supermarkets and restaurants and bars.

The hotel is lovely. The room was big with a huge terrace, and the hotel grounds really clean. The pool is great - but do get there early to grab a lounger The local town is wonderful - full of shops, bars and restaurants. You can walk to beaches but its up a steep hill - and be sure to know which beach to head to as some are more party than others

The stone floor in the livingroom was not suuper clean (frankly said this is also hard to clean). the bathrooms were a bit aged. and the stairs to the bathroom are not for walking at night in the dark.

Some of the rooms are outdated and not very comfortable. All the hotel is full with stairs, so it might result problematic for people with reduced mobility or small kids.

We stayed in the beautiful Traditional house and had such cozy corners to enjoy with each other but also on our own. The terrace had a gorgeous view of the sea. Lovely street with different Taverna.and souvenir shops. Great experience

Had a fantastic stay here at the end of July. The apartment was lovey and clean with much needed air conditioning! The sofa beds in the lounge for the kids were a little hard, but the main bedroom was fine. Great size pool, lovely and warm and we always got sunlounges. Lovely small bar/food service. There are some great restaurants and bars near by and we had such a lovely stay and look forward to returning soon.

Villaggio delizioso al centro del paese. Una piccola oasi in stile mediterraneo piena di dettagli carini , di angoli fioriti, di terrazze arredate con gusto. Camera comoda letto comodi, Angolo cottura con dotazioni basiche. Viaggiavo con mia figlia, La prima camera che ci avevano assegnato era bruttina, senza spazio esterno e sacrificata con un bagno minuscolo. La dovrebbero offrire a metà prezzo...ma quando ho chiesto di cambiare Maria si è subito data da fare. La mattina seguente ci ha spostato in una camera più spaziosa con bagno grande un bel soggiorno e camera grande . La piscina è molto carina dotata di pool bar, lettini ombrelloni e bellissimi materassi in stile mediterraneo con ombra. consiglio di regolamentare l'utilizzo dei lettini (non sufficienti per tutti) . Solo una volta sono riuscita ad averne uno. La sera c'è sempre qualcosa di carino, la proiezione di un film nella lobby bar, concerto di musica locale ...ma tutto molto discreto. La reception è operativa, mi hanno aiutato per alcune cose come per il noleggio dell'auto, escursioni, taxi ecc. . L'unica cosa spiacevole è che non sia previsto nessun tipo di trasporto verso le spiagge che sono abbastanza lontane. l'autobus non arriva a koutouloufari e bisogna scendere a Hersonissos. In ultimo non ci hanno mai fatto la pulizia della camera. Ma in generale siamo state benissimo.

We stayed 18 nights in the cottage style apartment. The apartment in itself is genuinely lovely, very spacious all the needed equipment was available and a lovely little balcony with the most beautiful view.

Although we have had 3 major issues. First the pool area; way too small for the amount of tourists (keep in mind this is in july) to be sure to have some place at the pool you need to be there between 8 and 9am. The pool is too small, if there are pool floats being used you simply cannot swim or enjoy the pool. Second issue is the parking; as stated we stayed 18 nights yet we were only able to park 5 times on the parking from the hotel. There was no place to park if you came back after 5pm from your day trip or 23pm dinner. The issue was raised at the reception and the reaction we received was "we can never guarantee a parking spot" if you stay a long time then this is absolutely impossible and unreasonable. 3rd and biggest issue; 3 power cuts and 4 water cuts (which are absolutely normal and in general there is no problem with cuts if you are used to them) yet 25th of July we came back around 2.30 am after celebrating my birthday. The power went out at 3am. I went to check if it was general or just our place. Turns out it was a part of the hotel. I tried calling the reception but there was nobody ( I knew the opening hours but had hoped the phone was transferred to a mobile phone) then I remembered we received an emergency phone number. I started calling at 3.49am till 4.38am. We were in extreme heatwaves and had no air-conditioning which can be very dangerous for some people. I went to the reception at 7.30am in hope someone would be there but no I had to wait till 8am on the dot. After explaining the situation we were told the emergency contact did see my 14! missed calls at 5am but did not think it was important to call back. I asked for a solution or a ventilator, we received a ventilator 1h later. After all the problems we requested a compensation. We did receive 2 days of free breakfast and a discount.

My only issue was the cleanliness of the room, it was really dirty, it was so bad that we actually couldn’t stay at property and had to book alternative accommodation. To be fair to hotel, I did not raise the issues of cleanliness of room just raised concerns that cleaner constantly left bins at door to room.

We had such a lovely stay in Koutouloufari Village holiday club– a quiet and charming village just a 20-minute drive from Malia and around 30 minutes from Heraklion. The hotel was peaceful and relaxing, with a great pool bar that served amazing food. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help. There’s a lovely little gelato place nearby, and the village itself is full of great restaurants with a really welcoming vibe. We also spent a perfect day at Stalis Beach – not too far away and absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet escape with great food and easy access to nearby towns and beaches.

the A/C was very old and couldn’t cool the room properly. There was mold under the toilet seat, which also didn’t stay in place and needs fixing. In the bedroom, the window had no curtain or shade, so we woke up as soon as the sun came up. The hand soap was replaced with body wash, which wasn’t ideal.Also, the photos of the room has nothing to do with reality.

what an absulute beutiful place so peaceful and clean but right where you want to be at the heart of the village the staff were fantastic so helpful and kind ,the pool area was amazing lovley large bed like loungers and a pool bar ,if you hire a car there is a private car park at the rear of the hotel free to use for geusts ,our cottage room was amazing one large bedroom and a kitchen area with a full size oven and hob a fridge ,then there was a sitting area with two three seater sofas and a tv ,the bathroom was a full bath with over head shower ,basin and tiolet ,as far as the balcony is concerned it was massive ,i stepped it out and it was 23ftx19ft . i would highly recomend this hotel we loved our stay.

2nd bedroom in 2 bed apartment has nowhere to put clothes, even a chest of drawers downstairs would have been helpful.
