Very comfortable and clean.

Apartment was very high up with a sea view however the balcony to the apartment was small and felt enclosed, the balcony was always shaded and felt cold so we often didn’t use it at all.

George’s team are exceptional… they treat you like family from the moment you arrive. Rooms are just as described… lovely! The Restaurant is a tranquil, pool side spot for lazy lunchtime salads and drinks … in the evening it’s a lively foodie restaurant with cool tunes and patrons chitchat.

Wow!! The most beautiful boutique hotel with the most stunning views and pool area.. the staff were amazing and gave more of a family vibe than hotel vibe, so warm, helpful and friendly. The food was exceptional.. some of the best I’ve tasted.. I was only there for 3 nights but it was so memorable and I would for sure go back and recommend it to all my friends! Thankyou 💕💕

It was a bit of an uphill hike to our room but it was probably a good thing considering the amount we ate!

The staff, the facilities, the food, the location near the village - all wonderful. There are some very steep climbs around the premises so not really suitable for those with any disabilities without support.

We loved everything but the steep climbs could be an issue for people with mobility issues.

What a gorgeous hotel - amazing views, great location, and so well looked after. Everything was perfect, right down to the details. George, Lavinia and the whole team were so welcoming from day one, with lots of local knowledge and suggestions. The restaurant on site (Blue Moon) is fantastic and we would definitely recommend having dinner there if you are not on half board. The food was incredible. Overall a great experience at the most amazing hotel - we’ll definitely be back

⭐ AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE A CAR — “DEDICATED PARKING” IS A JOKE We booked this hotel partly because it advertised DEDICATED PARKING. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. The hotel accepts outside restaurant bookings as well as hotel guests, but apparently doesn’t reserve parking spaces for the people actually paying to stay there. On our first night, we had to leave the car on a very steep rough road/hill, covered in stones, dust and sand — which they apparently consider “parking.” When I raised the issue with staff, the attitude was basically that restaurant customers “have to park somewhere.” There seemed to be zero interest in the fact that we had specifically booked and paid for accommodation advertised with dedicated parking. Meanwhile, the manager and his friend seemed perfectly able to park directly in front of reception. The room service wasn’t much better. The bed linen was not changed — the bed was simply remade. We had sand in the bed for three days. Considering where we had been forced to park on the first night, this made it even more frustrating. Wi-Fi: very poor connection. Breakfast: We tried it on the first day and didn’t bother again. You fill in a piece of paper with what you want, yet half of our order was forgotten. The “pancakes” were nothing like pancakes — more like some kind of fried batter absolutely soaked in fat. The fruit wasn’t good either. Then there was the swimming pool. On day one we used the pool in front of the bar. When approaching the bar while wet after swimming, a member of staff rudely told us not to use the bar if we were wet. Seriously? A bar directly next to a swimming pool, but guests using the swimming pool shouldn’t approach it wet? The biggest disappointment wasn’t simply that things went wrong — it was the attitude when concerns were raised. There appeared to be very little interest in finding a solution or looking after paying hotel guests.

Man kommt als Fremder und geht als Freund. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist außergwöhnlich. Ganz viele Grüße an den "Breakfast Club". Ein ganz tolles Restaurant, was eine herausragende Qualität hat, und sich von den Restaurants im Dorf abhebt.

Le lieu très joli, l'accueil, le confort et la propreté de la.chambre. Le personnel et les managers qui font en sorte de satisfaire toutes les demàndes.

Le petit bémol c’est la taille de la piscine qui est petite. Le petit déjeuner suffisamment copieux mais assez classique avec peu de variation.

Petit hôtel excentré de l'animation de la ville mais accessible à pied. Vue exceptionnelle. Grande chambre bien décorée. Piscine à débordement agréable et fraîche. Petit déjeuner servi à table.

Les montées pour accéder aux chambres et à l'hôtel. L'hôtel situé au bout d'un chemin très étroit. Parking avec très peu de places. L'accès aux chambres se fait soit par des escaliers, soit par une pente très raide. Le canapé-lit était trop petit pour notre fils de 13 ans, nous avons dû l'ouvrir nous-mêmes mais malgré tout il a dû dormir en diagonale pour ne pas dépasser.

Was an amazing and surprising experience, starting with the perfect location, it is up in Hersonissos and gives you the perfect sunset + sunrise view, super close to the center. Amazing staf and happy to found out they our compatriots🤍, perfect cuisine on breakfast and also the restaurant in the evening where is always full , chef Ovi fantastic dishes 🤍. Super chill and cozy on the infinity-poll, again view is 100/10. They’re planed to surprise me on my birthday and they nailed it Lavinia prepared me a surprise cake 🤍. I have no words to describe their positive and kind spirit, Lavinia and Sophia and all the staff . The room couldn’t be less, super private villa, large space and terrace , AMAZING bed, the best mattress we ever had, large living area and, double vanity in bathroom 🩷.

Heel verzorg hotel ! En super mooi

Die Anlage ist sehr schön angelegt mit einem spektakulären Blick auf das Meer.

Dass schon vor dem Frühstück die Liegen am Pool reserviert wurden und dann in Ruhe gefrühstückt wurde und andere somit keine Möglichkeiten hatten, sich am Pool eine freie Liege zu besorgen. Leider wurde von Seiten des Personals nichts dagegen unternommen. Ein Unding für uns und ein Ausschließungsgrund hier nochmals zu buchen.

Ein fantastischer Blick man ist in ein paar Minuten Fußweg in der Stadt,mit reichlich Auswahl an Tavernen.

Das Navi hat uns mehrere Runden drehen lassen,habe dann in einer Taverne nachgefragt.Im Ort ist nichts ausgeschildert,was zum Hotel führt!

Kleine familiäre Anlage mit super lieben Personal. Toller Ausblick und gute Gastro. Koutouloufari mit dem tollem Gastro und Kneipenbereich ist fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Anlage liegt separat und sehr ruhig.

Ausstattung ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und es sollte ein wenig in den Zimmern renoviert werden.

Außergewöhnlich schöne Anlage, es blüht überall und man kann von überall das Meer sehen. Es ist zudem ein angenehm kleines und ruhiges Hotel. Der kleine Ort ist auch hübsch und angenehm ohne zu viel Tourigeschäfte.

Ein Teil des Personals könnte freundlicher und aufmerksamer sein.

Great Hotel & Great staff

Sehr gepflegte Anlage, super schön!! Die Lage war der Hammer direkt an einem wunderschönen griechischen Dorf das man zu Fuß in 10 Minuten erreichen konnte. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Les petits déjeuners ne sont pas d’un standard 4 étoiles : jus de fruit et confitures industriels, viennoiseries inexistantes, pain médiocre (pas de grille pain), café filtre mauvais, céréales bas de gamme...

An amazing hotel in the beautiful location of Koutolafari. The rooms are fantastic, with incredible views. The pool area also has fantastic views looking out over the sea. Finally, the people running and working at this hotel make it extra special with great service from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. What an unbelievable place. It is a little bit hard to find since the road to the hotel looks like a private pathway. A sign would have helped.

L’établissement est parfaitement situé dans le petit village de koutouloufari. Les chambres sont spacieuses est très agréables. La piscine est superbe et le petit déjeuner très bon !

Great number of loungers by the pool, and incredible views. Great little patios / balconies on each room. The restaurant has really fantastic quality meals, including for breakfast.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Insgesamt eine sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage mit beeindruckendem Meerblick. Die Zimmer waren simpel, aber funktional und sauber. Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt mit wirklich tollem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Very stylish property with a very friendly welcome. Breakfast was really tasty and the whole feel of the hotel was excellent. Staff were wonderful!

Bathroom could have done with an extractor fan - when we showered the humidity built up in the room. I’m sure this wouldn’t have been an issue in mid-summer but in April it meant that towels didn’t dry as quickly and tiled floors were sometimes a little slippy. New towels were provided every day though so it was only a small issue!

Alles!! Es gibt nichts auszusetzen. Es ist ein kleines Hotel, man fühlt sich wie in einer Familie aufgenommen. Das Personal, bis hin zum Geschäftsführer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es wird versucht, jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Das Hotel liegt auf einem Berg, mit einem wunderbaren Mehrblick. Die Zufahrt war etwas versteckt, da hatte das Navi ein kleines Problem. Man kann das Ortszentrum und den Strand sehr gut in ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen. Es liegt auch mittig zwischen Heraklion und Agios Nikolaos, so dass man auch für geplante Ausflüge kurze Fahrzeiten hat. Unser Zimmer war groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Wir haben unseren Kurztrip sehr genossen.

Es war alles super und gibt nichts zu bemängeln.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick über den Ort und aufs Meer. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und das Essen im hoteleigenen Restaurant empfehlenswert.

Das Restaurant ist auf einer mehr oder weniger geschützten Terrasse, dadurch war es Anfang April noch ziemlich kühl.

Pleasant hotel — you can see that the owners really put effort into it. The breakfast is quite good, though the choice is limited. The mattresses are comfortable, and the view is perfect. We arrived quite late, but they waited for us and even reserved a table at the restaurant. The owner parked the car himself, which was very kind. We recommend visiting the hotel in good weather and booking with dinners included.

Our room was extremely cold when we arrived, and even the air conditioner heating didn’t help. After a few days, we were finally given a heater. The pool did not work at all during our stay and is not heated. The appartement consists of two tiny rooms, so there’s very less space for 3 people, and there’s no desk. The water pressure in the tap was weak, and there was no hot water for one day. The Wi-Fi worked poorly and only near the window. We were not offered any discount, even though we accidentally booked one extra night (imformed in advance) and left early. Considering the price we paid and all these downsides, that would have been reasonable.  The hotel is located on a hill, and access is via a very narrow road. We would not recommend coming here with a large car.

Das Hotel besticht durch sein wunderschönes Ambiente und sehr freundliches und herzliches Personal. Wir haben uns jeden morgen gefreut, dass Frühstück mit der tollen Aussicht auf das Meer genießen zu können. Auch das Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant ist definitiv empfehlenswert!

We stay only one week-end and we regrete not stay more days. We had a suite with a privat(commune) pool. Our suite was very clean and beautiful, the staff was very nice and available every time we need. Thanks to everybody for making our stay so good. Thé hôtel is close to a charming village, we enjoy everything. I recomand this hotel!

George and his fantastic team make for such an amazing holiday. The service is superb and they remember returning guests with a genuine touch. The Blue Moon restaurant which forms part of the hotel serves high quality food incl a made to order breakfast incl fruit, yogurt, honey, eggs etc.

The staff make this hotel, although the place itself is great too with a fabulous restaurant.

The location was great, within walking distance of the traditional village of Koutouloufari which was beautiful with loads of rooftop bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. All food and Cretan wine was excellent!

Breakfast at hotel was very average and got monotonous. Should provide more variation of bread choices, not just the bob standard sliced white and brown bread. No option for toast. Would have been nice to have a muesli, nuts, seeds and berries section.

The property was beautiful, very clean, the staff were super friendly and very helpful. The view was amazing, the location was fab, amazing stay and will certainly be back.

Steep hills and far from the beach

The staff and family who run the hotel go above and beyond for everyone, no detail missed. Nothing is too much trouble and they offer services before you even ask. Spotlessly clean. Food amazing. The hotel and rooms are just stunning. We were worried we might be a little far from restaurants and bars but the local village is just perfection, with a livelier strip within easy walking distance. Wouldn't change a thing.

The hosts at CretaBlue Hotel are outstanding, so warm and helpful! We enjoyed our stay at this lovely and elegant property very much.

Small boutique hotel in a quiet end of a lovely old village. Easy walk to authentic local tavernas and bars. Very nice large modern room with sun deck and hot tub with a lovely view. Superb bathroom- really loved that. Staff were all very friendly and very helpful
